*.exe requires text file - error

Hi,
i created an installer+executeable file out of my project. After installing the files and starting the application the following error occurs:
Error 1 cannot Open/Create/Replace a file in write spreadshet string.vi -> write spreadsheet file (DBL).vi (translated ger -> eng)
I am completly new to to LabVIEW and i was told to create this installer for my superior. It has to work but unfortunately i dont know exactly how to handle with this issue.

Hi Andreas,
you probably run into the problem of changed paths in an executable. The executable adds a folder to the path ("\project\my.vi" changes to "\project\my.exe\my.vi"). When you use the "Current VI path" file constant you have to strip one more folder to get a valid directory!
This is asked quite often, so you will find a lot of example how to check the run time system used by the VI to differentiate between development system and executable...
On "how to handle this":
- The problem isn't a missing text file, it's about not being able to open/create a text file.
- You should always handle the error cluster generated by such functions, it contains valuable information about the error!

64 bit refuses to install (already have 32bit office tools installed)
32 doesn't stop the error - i'd assume i'd already have the correct 32 bit drivers installed since i have the full office 2013 suite installed.
I've looked at some of the other topics around and they are either unanswered or the poster didn't have office installed so could install 64bit redist

Could not initialize Photoshop because a required text file is missing

Hi everyone,
Yesterday Photoshop stopped opening - I'td been going fine for years.
Suddenly I get a sort of half hearted opening then it stalls on reading text global resources - goes blank then I have to close it.
Running Photoshop CS (8) on windows XP plenty of spare room and ram etc
I spent most of yesterday sifting aroundlooking for answers.
I got a few suggestions.
So far I have tried
1. reloading several times
2. scanning for any viruses Malwares and AVG (nothing)
4. defragging
5. removing a lot of presets etc
6. 2 system restores
7. removing adobe photoshop prefernces.php file
8. removing new doc sizes.php
9. reloading again after removing these files
10. taking contents of the whole Adobe photoshop preferences file and storing it somewhere else
Nothing is working.
There seems to be quite a few people with this problem but few answers
Help!!!

SAPCAR: could not open for writing SAPCAR (error 28). Text file busy

I´m trying to decompress this file( is for a kernel upgrade):
SAPEXE_15-10006264.SAR
And when I do SAPCAR u2013xvf SAPEXE_15-10006264.SAR, SAPCAR only decompress a few files and I´ve this error:
SAPCAR: could not open for writing SAPCAR (error 28). Text file busy
Instead when I decompress the SAPEXEDB_15-10006263.SAR, SAPCAR does this correctly. I´ve tried to download again the file but the error is always the same.Could someone help me?

Now, I´ve unpacked the files but when I do the file copy (in order to upgrade the kernel), I´ve these errors:

Justified text wrap error CC vs CS6

I have a client that requires text files be set up in CS6. I have set up columns of justified text in CS6 but I have several words that are flowing outside the text box. When I open the file in CC it appears correctly.
I tried saving some test files from CC in CS6 format but still no go. Attached are images of the issue. I really hate to use forced line breaks. Is there some other setting that I'm not aware of that could help?
I much prefer to use InDesign for text formatting but all pharmaceutical packaging companies pretty much require the use of Illustrator and most are still using CS6 or CS5 so I'm stuck.

You may try going through the following.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Get these two error messages when I run the iTunes exe file: Error 2 and Error 2 (Windows error 2). Both say Apple Application Support is required. Uninstalled and tried to install again several times. Using Windows 7 64 bit on laptop.

When choose the type tool in CS6 on my mac I get an error message "Could not complete your request because a required text resources file is missing." Any help to get it all back to normal would be great:)

Done Font Book checks and restores then I performed a font check and PS crashed.

File error for improperly inserted or defective desk when using Word with text boxes PLEASE HELP!

When I have a Word document opened that contains around 10 text boxes, I get..."A file error has occurred. Check your network connections or make sure the disk is properly inserted and not defective" causing the program to either quit automatically or freeze and require me to manually shut my computer down. This will occur about every 15 minutes and only when I am on a document with numerous text boxes. Also, I do copy and paste the text boxes from file to file and change the text accordingly.

File sizes - around 190 KB
I have turned off track changes and smart cut and paste options, checked for duplicate fonts (none), verified both the Macintosh HD and Apple HDD Media disks (both said the disks were fine so I did not repair either). My husband mentioned something about allocating the working memory space of Word but not sure how that is done (and he is on Team PC ). PLEASE HELP!!!

Error while sending a text file to client as attachment

I want to download a file on clicking a button. Here is my button code

i have two problems
1. when the button "Download My file" is clicked a separate window is opened and then the save file dialog box appears. How can I change my code
so that it only shows download window only ( not another browser window)

I see this sort of error notice in Bridge and Photoshop, preceded by the message " Photoshop (or Bridge) has encountered a problem and must close. Tell MS.

It most frequently happens in PS when running Dfine 2.0. I have no clue what triggers the Bridge closure. It happens randomly.
CS3, so nobody gives a tinkers dam, I suppose.
I see this kind of message in software testing on a regular basis. Of course, when the test is under way, the software is generating a detailed log file which we package up as part of a bug report. Then at the bug scrubs, lively discussions ensue as to who has to fix what!
I can only image what would happen if the Dfine people and the PS people had to sit through one of those!

Reading variables from a text file into a flash projector exe

I am using Flash CS4 and my script is in ActionScript2.
I am developing a flash projector file that runs when a user puts in a cd to guide them through the steps they need to install a program and then kicks off the installer.
I use fscommand to run a utility that reads the users registry to determine the PCs regional settings and then writes this to a text file in the users %temp% directory.
I then use the LoadVariablesNum command to read in the text file and get the variables.
This was working fine when I had the text file stored in a different directory, but when I try and refer to the %temp% directory, I get an Error opening file message.
Is there anyway to get flash to look in the %Temp% directory?

Unable to find file error while loading data from text file to Oracle

I am having a interface where i am loading a data of Text file to Oracle.
But when i am trying to do this i am getting following error.
ODI-1227: Task SrcSet0 (Loading) fails on the source FILE connection SAPMM.
Caused By: java.sql.SQLException: File not found: d:/mdb/#General.get_filename

SAPMM is connection name.
I am using get_filename to get the filename and it is fetching correct value as the this variable refreshes in previous step of this interface.
KM used for loading is File to SQL
What would be cause of this error?

Did a testing and following are the result
I have
A> created package having steps like
1. Declaration of variable v_filename.
2. Refreshing variable v_filename.
3. Execution of Interface which gets the file name from v_filename and load into target table
Package executes successfully.
B> created package having steps like
1. Declaration of variable v_filename.
2. Refreshing variable v_filename.
3. Scenario of Interface which gets the file name from v_filename and load into target table
Package executes with erre as it is not able to find the file
C> created package having steps like
1. Declaration of variable v_filename.
2. Refreshing variable v_filename.
3. Execution of Interface which gets the file name from v_filename and load into target table
4. Now create a scenario of the package , use the generated scenario in another package say main_package
Execution of main_package is successful.

Error while importing text file to Power Pivot via Table Import Wizard

Hello there,
I'm a rookie at handling Excel to be honest. I've been trying to import a .txt file to Excel (it contains around 14 million rows of information) but Excel won't let me since it can only handle around 1 million rows per sheet (too troublesome to do such thing
14 times in 14 different sheets). Then I googled that Power Pivot let me handle around 100 million rows in a Pivot.
I'm trying to import this .txt file to Power Pivot by doing the following:
Home tab > From Text > File Path (insert .txt location here) > Finish
After that it shows the Table Import Wizard retrieving the rows from the .txt file. Problem is... at the end of the import (once it hits row 14,000,000 or so) it shows an error. It states the following:
"Memory error: Allocation failure : Not enough storage is available to process this command. .
The current operation was cancelled because another operation in the transaction failed."
Please note that the size of the .txt file is 900 MB.
Another thing is that, when I select the .txt file from its location at the File Path section, the "preview" field only shows 50 rows, not all of them. Is that okay to happen?
Is it because the size of the .txt file is too big?
Please let me know if you need more info in regards to this.

Only showing 50 rows for the preview is normal behaviour. Based on what you've described, it sounds like Power Pivot is running out of memory when you are loading this .txt file. Are you running the 32 bit or 64 bit version of Excel. Also, if you are running
the 64 bit version how much RAM is available?
If you're running the 32 bit version then the available RAM for Power Pivot is less than 1 GB even if the system has more than this installed. You can address this by installing the 64 bit version. If you're running the 64 bit version then it may be
that you don't have enough RAM to accommodate this amount of data and you may consider upgrading the RAM. Alternatively, you could try and reduce the size of the table in memory by using the preview screen to remove any columns that are not of use. This
is especially important if there are any column with a high number of unique values that aren't actually needed in the model. In addition to removing columns altogether, you could try filtering the data so that only a subset of the rows are imported.
This can also be done from the preview screen.

Error importing text file into SQL Server when last column is null

Hello all. Happy holidays!
I'm trying to import a text file into a SQL Server table, and I get the error below when it gets to a row (row 264) that has null in the last column. I'm guessing the null jumbles up the delimiters somehow. The nulls are not errors, and I need to import
them into the table with the rest of the rows. Any idea how I can do that?

[SSIS.Pipeline] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED. The PrimeOutput method on component "Flat File Source" (1) returned error code 0xC0202092. The component returned a failure code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput().
The meaning of the failure code is defined by the component, but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.

The error that” Data conversion failed. The data conversion for column "XYZ" returned status value 2 and status text "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".” is generally error message, and the error indicates
that there is data type mismatch issue between the input columns and the output columns.
Based on your description, the issue is that you trying to convert a column contains empty value from string to integer data type for the output column "XYZ" in Flat File Source [1]. Please note that we cannot type an empty value as integer data
type column value, so the error occurs.
To fix this issue, just as you did, we should convert the data type for the output column "XYZ" in Flat File Source [1] back to DT_WSTR or DT_STR, then use a derived column task to replace the current column (UBPKE542). But the expression should
be like below:
LEN(TRIM(UBPKE542)) > 0 ? (DT_I8)UBPKE542 : NULL(DT_I8)
In this way, the data type of the column in SQL table would be int, and the empty value would be replaced with NULL.

Getting error while creating a text file

I have one macro which will write all the file names from a particular folder into a text file. However when I run it, I am getting the following error message and only last file of the identified folder is getting added in my text file.
