Export cycle

hi friends,
The export sales cycle we are using is the standard one.But need to ask a question to the forum  experts is in the case of no excise duty for export scenario, the client always starts the prcocessing of the cutoms process of clearing the documents well in advance before the material is given by the production guys for delivery.so in that case what is the procedure to be followed as this question always arises as the cleint requires to actually do the cutoms procesing in the system.
As we know that
1. proforma invoice
2. packing list
3. Billing Invoice
all three documents are necessary here as they are sent to customs dept for export clearance before doing delivery it self.as the stock is still getting ready
We will create Sales order (OR) and then proforma invoice(F5) and take print output (form)
Since the delivery is yet not done so the packing list cant be created
and since delivery is yet to be done in the real system the billing invioce is not created.
Is there is any way out to do this process.
its the make to stock scenario to your info guys.
client requirement is that documents should be created for packing list and  Export Invoice  which is given to customs dept. for clearance from the system
Please suggest the way out
Thanks
ajay

Hi,
U can map the process in the following Way -
1. In an Export Order, assuming that htere is no partial delivery done so develop a Packing List - from Sales order itself (using some Z tcode a script can be developed where u give sales order no. and packing list in form like
S.No. Material qty Packs (packs are standard in oist cases0 like 20 packs etc
2. Create Proforma Invoice
3. Create Excise Invoice from Proforma
4. Create Are 1 with this excise Invoice
5. Rest is updatiuon of Are1
Hope this works.

  • MP3 won't export cycle region

I am trying to export some voiceovers as MP3, but it keeps exporting the entire timeline instead of just the cropped area (cycle region).
If I export as WAV or AIF, the export is restricted to the cycle region, which I want. So for now I have to export as AIF and convert to MP3.
Is this a bug or am I missing something?

The file system on the flash drive may be imposing a file size limit.
Select the stick in the Finder and use the command "File > Get Info  ⌘I" ). That will show you the file fystem in the "general" brick of the Info panel.

  • How to export cycle area with movie?

I'm working on a film scoring project with some friends.
It's like an hour long thing, but I've got a really neat section that i've written and synced up to the video and I've got my cycle area set to that section.
Is it possible to bounce the cyle area with video?
I tried looking in the documentation but either I'm really missing something or the "working with video" section is laughably short and devoid of details.
Seems like the kinda feature that would be there, but it's not obvious to me how to access it.

    I'm an idiot.
It does this for you by default if you leave the cycle mode activated when you select "export audio to movie"

  • Bill of Exports w.r.t Special Economic Zone (SEZ's sales)

    Dear All,
Issue is regarding Bill Of Exports
Scenario applicable to the Customer who belongs to Special Economic Zones (SEZ’s).
    We have two Cases:
    1.     SEZ sales With Duty Draw Back i.e., Bill of Export of goods claim for duty drawback.
    2.     SEZ sales Without Duty Draw Back i.e., Bill of Export for dutiable goods.
Duty Draw Back is the Duty (custom duty / Customer excise duty) suffered in INPUTS (imported) material and being refunded if the finished goods is exported.
SEZ sales is considered as EXPORT i.e., Country within a Country where in the transportation is only by means of Road its not through Sea OR Air Say within India but treated as Exports (all the Terms & Condition applicable is same as Exports).
Issue is whether the customer (Indian) should be considered as Exempt Tax (0) in Tax Classification for Customer and run an Export cycle for this scenario.
If anybody have come across this scenario, let me know regarding the same.
Please revert for further clarifications & i/p's will be of great help & rewarded too.

  • Excise Invoice values not picking

    Hi gurus
I am doing a plant rollout. We have existing plants 1000, 2000 and 3000. In the same location we are creating 2 more new plants 4000 and 5000.So we are using the same excise group and series group. i did all the configurations in SPRO> LG> Taxes on goods movement>India.....i have maintained plant settings, default series group and excise group etc. We are using the same pricing procedure for exports irrespective of the plants.Condition records for BED,Ecess and SHEcss  are maintained sales organisationwise. In sales order excise values are coming properly and also in billing. but when i create the excise invoice, no values are coming. what could be the reason?
    Thanks in advance

Regarding Export cycle for excise Duties,
    you have to use validation.
    Tcode: SE37
    J_1I7_USEREXIT_DUTY_IN_EXPORT
    Code:
    FUNCTION J_1I7_USEREXIT_DUTY_IN_EXPORT.

*This flag when left blank will trigger calculation of ED during j1ii
*When it is marked, the ED copied from billing will be left as it is

  • How to remove trailing space at the end of a song.

This is related to this thread: Shorten song length (remove trailing bars) in Garageband 10.0.1
I have also done some Googling and have found some links related to selecting and exporting regions, which I have tried, but this is what I noticed.
It does not work when I select certain instruments, eg Synthesizer - Soundscape - Subtle Shiftscape or Synthesizer - Lead - Screamlead. I believe that what is happening is that those sounds tend to have some additional length to it. No matter where I cut my region, the additional length still get added. I don't have that problem if I don't select those instruments.
    Anybody has any ideas?

Are you using GB 10.0.2 as well?
I am using both - GarageBand 10.0.2 and GarageBand '11.
And if I deselect all regions, File - Add Region to loop library is of course greyed out. Is it possible to save multiple tracks as a loop?
    No.
Yep, I've deselected all regions. Still no luck.
My answer above was in answer to your "This time GB felt I only needed the first 4 measures of the song, even though I defined an entire Region over the length of the song and selected everything with Ctrl-A..."
You should be able to export the complete song, if you deselect all regions, and select all of the song using the cycle region with "Export Cycle region only" enabled, or with "Export Cycle region only" disabled, nothing selected, and the end-of-song marker correctly set.
However, this will not get rid of the trailing empty bars.
Reimport the bounced song to a new Ringtone project and trim it and save it as a tone, or to a regular project and add it to the Loop Library.
Find the AIFF file of the loop in the Loop library - it will be installed in your User Library in your Home folder
    ~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/User Loops/SingleFiles/

  • To stop automatic generation of excise invoice for

    Dear Experts,
I am creating Profroma Invoice just after Sales Order in export cycle. While saving the proforma invoice, system automatically generates excise invoice.
Will you please guide me how to stop the Proforma Invoice from automatic generation of excise invoice?
    With regards,
    Jhelum Roy.

Check the excise group for the transaction.
The follow the following path in SPRO:
IMG - LG- Tax on Goods Movements-India-Basic Settings-Maintain Excise Groups
There uncheck the box EXCISE INV DURING BILLING
As, this will create Excise Invoice automatically. So, it instructs the system to automatically create an outgong excise invoice immediately you create a commercial invoice or a pro forma invoice. The system creates the excise invoice in the background.
Also, If you want to make use of this function, you must also define the default plant, excise group, and series groups in Customizing for Excise Duty, by choosing Business Transactions -> Outgoing Excise Invoices -> Maintain Default Excise Groups and Series Groups.
If that is uncheck already, create & post inv single step indicator
As, this is automatic posting for J1IS and it instructs the system to automatically verify and post excise invoices that you create using the Excise Invoices for Other Movements transaction.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Bounce file exceeds maximum size. How to change CAF

I'm new at editing recordings. I only record my speaking engagements. They are rarely under one hour. When I tried to "share" to my iTunes, I got an error message that says
"The bounce file exceeds the maximum file size. Please change the format to CAF, or decrease the bounce range."
I have NO idea what that means, and NO idea where I would change the format. Could someone please enlighten me?
I really appreciate your volunteering your time to share this information!
ALSO: If I wanted to divide a recording into parts, how would one go about doing this? (maybe making 20 minute sections - and that would decrease the size of the file).
    MANY thanks,
    Lianda

When you are sharing to iTunes, try a different quality setting, not AIFF.  A lower quality setting will give a smaller file size.
To export only a part of the song, enable "Export Cycle Region only" and then use the Cycle region (the yellow bar in the ruler), to mark the part of the song you want to share to iTunes.

  • Better dv solution?  Need advice!

    Hello Wise Group!
I have a question about dv recording, editing, and storing. I have two G4 PowerBooks that I use for my business. I meet with customers in 60 to 90 minute blocks of time and videotape (dv camera) each of the sessions for later editing and playback. I often need to access the footage I’ve recorded months later for presentations and/or additional video editing. I record up to 4 hours of video each day, I am currently using iMovie HD to record directly to my hard drive from my dv camera. I then send the footage to iDVD and burn to disc. This is quite time consuming and does not provide an easy solution for accessing my footage once I’ve burned it to DVD via iDVD. (I have tried using mini-dv tapes for long term storage but the import-export-re-export cycle takes forever.)
I’m hoping that someone with far more knowledge than I, can offer some suggestions for making this process more efficient (less time consuming and less expensive.) I am open to all suggestions including changing software (final cut, iDVD Pro, etc) or even purchasing additional equipment if necessary (additional external hard drives, server, etc.) I’m also open to posting my question to other message boards if you can direct me. Thanks in advance for your help!
    g4fan
    G4 Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.4)

A crucial factor is the space requirements of all that video. The success of any solution depends almost entirely on how you plan to use the video, and how often you need to access it.
If you plan to use it to create high-quality iMovie projects, then preserving the pristine DV quality is important. The video should be stored in its native DV format, not the MPEG-2 format delivered by iDVD. (iDVD compresses the video, which loses quality when brought back into iMovie.)
Unfortunately, saving all that video as DV clips on DVDs is a huge task which will consume multiple DVDs each day. (A single-sided DVD can hold just one 20-minute DV clip.) We're talking here about saving QuickTime movies as data files on the DVD, not using iDVD to create a DVD for playback on a TV.
You don't say how often you will need to access the stored video. If it's not often -- only several times a month? -- I'd consider not importing it to iMovie at all. Rather, I'd just save the tapes (or create them). Then when I needed a portion of an interview, I'd import that segment of tape to iMovie. In other words, I'd consider not bothering to import the video until it was actually needed.
If you don't use tape, a 500 GB disk will store only 38 hours of DV video. (13GB per hour.) That's an option too if you need to be able to access the video quickly.
Another is to import the video to the Mac, then compress it with the H.264 codec, which delivers fantastic quality for its size. I assume the video is mostly talking heads, which compresses nicely.
Many times more H.264 can be stored on a disk than DV. To make the video even smaller, you might consider storing it in 320x240 format with a low data rate, say 300 kbits per second. It could be stored on disks or on DVDs.
The H.264 quality won't be perfect, but that may not matter. If the small-size H.264 video is used only to locate snippets of video you want to import from tape, it doesn't have to be perfect. The H.264 movie will let you quickly scan through a movie looking for the snippets you need, then import those scenes from the tape.
So, here's a possible strategy: Use QuickTime Pro or the third-party software BTVPro to import your live video to a QuickTime DV movie. If you consider the session worth saving, export it back to a tape in the camcorder. Store the tape in a safe location. (Do not record at LP speed, for that can mess up the audio. Use SP.)
Then use QT Pro or BTVPro to export the DV movie to an H.264 MPEG-4 movie at whatever quality you need. The smaller the better. Or use a high data rate -- 2000 kbps? -- at 640x480 and save it as your primary source video instead of using tape.
Save the H.264 movie to disk. (As needed, make a backup of those movies onto CDs or DVDs.)
If there is a scene today you think you'll want to reference later, you could do this: Open the H.264 movie, find the scene, Copy that snippet, Paste it into a new movie, and save it as a reference movie. (Which relies on the Copied movie to play.) Give it meaningful name. Store this (tiny) reference movie in the same folder as the H.264 movie.
To catalog in several categories, create as many aliases as you want to that reference movie, saving the aliases in folders that you assign meaningful names. You'll be able to use Sherlock later to find each scene, searching for the snippet's name or the alias name.
All the grunt work of importing the video, then exporting the DV to the camera and exporting the DV to an H.264 movie can be done with AppleScripts. Both QT Pro and BTVPro are highly scriptable.
For the computer, the hardest part is compressing all that video to H.264. You may need a fast computer. It depends on how much video there is. You may need to devote a Mac to that task only.
But all that may be unnecessary. When H.264 came out I tried exporting DV containing talking heads to H.264 using 640x480 at a fairly high data rate, (3000 kbps?) then imported THAT movie back into iMovie HD. There was NO loss of quality from the source DV. H.264 is that good. So you might want to try that on your video. It could save a lot of effort, for if it comes out well enough, you could skip messing with the tape. Import to DV, export to H.264 and toss the DV.

  • Bouncing Single Tracks from Garage Band

I have a recording i did with multiple tracks and I just want to export one section of the song. I've used other programs where you can set up parameters of where the export starts and where it ends. For some reason, I cannot figure out how to do this in gargeband as it just bounces the entire length of the song.

In GarageBand you can select the region to be bounced using the Cycle Region. Click into the ruler at top of the Track area to mark the Cycle region. Only measures marked in yellow will be bounced, when you enable the flag "Export cycle area only, or length of selected regions".  Be careful, not to select any regions at all.
For exaple, when using "Share > Song to disk":

    Hello,
I'm collaborating on a writing project with an Windows Word user. We will be exchanging editorial changes and I need to be able to use Track Changes between us.
Are both Word and Pages compatible in this way? If so, do you know what the most recent version of Windows needs to be used to get this functionality?
    Thanks.

My limited use of this feature jibes with fruhulda's reply. However, you need to be aware that formatting issues tend to exist between Word and Pages import/export cycles. A simple document consisting of standard paragraphs and text styles aren't a problem but add in things like bullets, auto-numbered lists, and graphics and things get a bit iffy.
It's why I think that when documents must support import/export cycles it's safer to use a true clone of Office.

  • Ld: cycle in dylib re-exports with /usr/X11/lib/libGL.dylib liker error

    Hello,
I found out that some open source applications when tied to be installed from source or trough fink or mac ports simply fail at linking with the error:
ld: cycle in dylib re-exports with /usr/X11/lib/libGL.dylib
However, when I force the linker to use /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib instead it works.
I am wondering what is the problem since /usr/X11/lib/libGL.dylib has to be exported from /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib.
It is very painful to force configure to use right version of libGL.dylib. Since the two libraries are of
different size the should be different. Simple replacement of /usr/X11/lib/libGL.dylib by /System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib would work, but what are the consequences for the other applications?
I would be very happy is someone from OS X developement would reply to this and address this problem in the future.
