Export Import Procedure

Hi Friends,
How can i make ex-im procedure to come by default in PO.
Thank You,
Ashok

Hi,
Not clear about your requirement.
Generally when procurement process is different(Local, Import), that can be differentiate by Document Type of PO.
For Default Document type Just go SPRO->Materail Management-> Purcahsing->Define Default value for Document type.
Here You can assign your ME21N with your Document type.
If helpful then reward.

  • Export/import procedure for foreign trade field in PO item

    Hi Experts,
    I met a problem in import PO. Is there a possible way to make the Export/import procedure for foreign trade field in PO item automatically be determined?
    Thanks,
    Emily

    IF the import data tab shows up is depending on customizing for foreign trade data.
    The setting is done in IMG
    MM > Purchasing > Foreign Trade/ Custome > Control FT data in MM SD documents > Import screens in purchasing document

  • Mandatory field Export/Import Procedure for Foreign Trade

    Hello all!
    Is there any possibilty to define the field Export/Import Procedure for Foreign Trade
    within the infoset as a mandatory field?
    Table T162 doesn't show me this field.
    Kind regards,
    Barbara

    Hello,
      in customizing under "Materials Management --> Purchasing --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Control Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents --> Incompleteness Schemas for Foreign Trade Data" you can create an incompletion procedure defininig the documents fields assigning a control type. Then in the subsequent customizing step "Foreign Trade Data in MM and SD Documents" you can assign the Incompleteness schema to each country code, choosing import or export.
    Hope to be useful.
    Best regards,

  • Update the export import procedure in ME23n!!

    Hi,
    Is ther any exit/badi available which can be used for updating Export/Import Procedure for Foreign Trade ( EIPO-EXPRF) for transaction ME23n...
    Regards
    Gunjan

    ME23N is a display transaction not update.
    ME21N / ME22N / ME23N has a BADI that gives access to a lot of the PO data - ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST
    Note that this BADI has a number of methods with parameters defined as "Importing" which makes it look like you cannot change data, but some of these parameters are "TYPE REF TO" objects which themselves have methods such as GET_DATA and SET_DATA that actually allow you to access and change the fields.
    Search for previous posts including "ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST" - there is sample code in some of them.
    In transaction SE19, if you display the BADI then select menu option goto>sample code>display, you will be able to drill down on the PROCESS_ITEM method to some SAP supplied sample code.

  • Export/Import Procedure for Foreign Trade

    Dear all,
    Could you please explain me the field "Export procedure"?
    This can be found in the delivery:
    Transaction: VL03n --> Item --> Foreign Trade/ Customs --> Origine / Destination / Business
    I know how the default value of this field is found. What I have to know, is the outcome of changing these value. Is this field only for statistical/ information reasons or is there a link to an other function?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Dear Thomas,
    The field is meant for indicating the customs procedure into which the goods are to be entered (eg. export or reexport, outward processing). It is part of official customs declaration forms in the EC ("Single Administrative Document"/SAD). Like the other fields on the tab page "Foreign Trade/Customs", it is generally only needed in case of cross-border sales/deliveries. The content of these fields is stored in table EIPO which is usually referenced by the billing document. In case of an export, for example, you could issue the customs declaration based on these and other billing document data. (Nowadays, export declarations are to be filed electronically in the EC. The data are thus transferred to either SAP GTS or a third-party software.)
    And yes, they are in parts also relevant to export statistics.

  • Export/Import in Oracle8i to Oracle10g

    Hi,
    We have an Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.6.0.0(32 Bit) running on AIX4.3.3,we are planning to upgrade/migrate it to[b] Oracle10g running on AIX5.3.If i do an export from oracle8i whether i can import it in Oracle 10g without any issues.
    Regards,
    Cherry

    Dear All,
    Thanks for your efforts.
    I have solved this problem and running the db in windows 2000 server without any problem.
    Solution:
    A tablespace should be created in the same name, size as in the solaris server. we cant transfer a tablespace created by solaris to windows. Before importing the data we need to create a tablespace and assign to the user (empuser).
    here is the method that works for me.
    1.GENERAL STEPS TO FOLLOW:
    WINDOWS 2000 Server:
    Install Oracle 9i release 1 (9.0.1.1.1) in windows 2000 server.
    Create a database with following parameters;
    1. Select 'General Database'
    2. Global Database Name: EMP
    3. SID: EMP
    4. All default Options and click finish to create and start the oracle instance.
    5. Login to SQL-PLUS (username: scott, Password: tiger, Hoststring: <empty>)
    6. Connect as sys/change_on_install as sysdba;
    7. CREATE TABLESPACE empdeploy DATAFILE 'C:\oracle\oradata\EMP\emp_data_new.dbf' SIZE 1000m AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 100m MAXSIZE 2048m EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL;
    8. CREATE USER empuser IDENTIFIED BY emppass DEFAULT TABLESPACE EMPDEPLOY TEMPORARY TABLESPACE TEMP;
    9. GRANT DBA TO EMPUSER (Im not sure whether i given this command or not, dont use this unless u get error during import)
    10. disconnect

    SUN-SOLARIS 5.6 (SPARC):
    It is running Oracle Enterprise edition 8.1.6.
    Get the informations below,
    INSTANCE NAME
    SID
    USER HAVING CONTROL TO THAT INSTANCE (like here it was EMPUSER)
    TABLESPACES USED
    TABLESPACE NAME
    DATAFILE NAME and PATH
    ORACLE VERSION
    2.EXPORT/IMPORT PROCEDURE:
    I) Exporting Database from SOLARIS SERVER:
    option-1:
    exp empuser/emppass
    leave all default options
    Select Entire database to export (option 1)
    YOU SHOULD GET 'Export terminated successfully without warnings'. (Failure causes may be low disk space, ensure that u have enough disk space)
    Option-2:
    exp empuser/emppass
    leave all default options
    Enter the user name whose tables to be exported: EMPUSER
    Enter the user name whose tables to be exported: <Enter-to-quit>
    YOU SHOULD GET 'Export terminated successfully without warnings'.
    Option-3:
    exp TRIGGERS=y CONSTRAINTS=y GRANTS=y FILE=expdat.dmp
    Username: EMPUSER as sysdba
    Password: emppass
    leave all default options
    Select Entire database to export (option 1)
    YOU SHOULD GET 'Export terminated successfully without warnings'.
    Option-4 (99% wont Work, RISKY):
    EXPORT THE TRANSPORTABLE TABLE SPACE (This is different from exporting tables/data, so if all the above fails then export the Transportable table space and import into windows probably it will fail due to platform issue and CHARACTER SET Conversion)
    Now import the expdat.dmp file again and see.
    Change the required TABLESPACES READ ONLY.
    exp TRANSPORT_TABLESPACE=y TABLESPACES=PMTDEPLOY TRIGGERS=y CONSTRAINTS=y GRANTS=y FILE=expdat.dmp
    Username: EMPUSER as sysdba
    Password: emppass
    YOU SHOULD GET 'Export terminated successfully without warnings'.
    Now Again Change the TABLESPACES to READ WRITE. (If you forgot this production server cant able to write to the database, the database will be left in read-only mode.)
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
    II) TRANSFERRING EXPORTED DATA FROM SOLARIS TO WINDOWS 2000 Server.
    Now from windows system,
    Open command prompt.
    connect to SOLARIS SERVER USING FTP.
    ( cd /user1/home/oracle)change to the Path where you have exported the expdat.dmp file.
    set the transfer mode to binary (dont use the default ASCII Transfer Mode)
    get expdat.dmp
    close
    quit
    Now the database was successfully exported from solaris and transferred to Windows 2000 server.
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
    III) Importing the Database in Windows 2000 server:
    Open a Command prompt,
    imp FULL=y IGNORE=n
    Enter User Name : empuser
    Password : emppass
    You should get the same messages what you got during export, with out any other warnings or big messages running in the screen.
    After completion you will get,
    'Import terminated successfully without warnings'.
    +++++++++Now Login thru SQLPLUS using username: empuser, password: emppass++++++++++
    #the following query should return the total number of tables (142 here), this should be same as what you get in solaris. If you get 'no rows selected' then the import was failed, may be take a look at creating tablespaces, or around tablespaces)
    select * from tab;
    142 rows selected.
    A kind request:
    if you got your problem solved, please update the forum / usergroup and write how you solved the problem. this might be helpful for others who may face the same trouble. for me also there was some old postings that having similar problem. but they haven't given the solution. after their problem solved just left this forums.

  • Success with export/import of Discoverer portlets?

    Hi folks.
    Before I begin working with the 9iAS export/import procedures, can anyone tell me if they've been successful exporting and importing pages with Discoverer portlets from one 9iAS server to another?
    Are there any gotchas?

    Ravishankar,
    Thanks.
    So are you saying:
    Pages with Discoverer portlets will be transported with the Discoverer portlets in place.
    However, after the transport, the end-user will have to "Edit Defaults" again.
    And user customizations would have to be re-applied.

  • Problems Export/Import on Windows x64 with SQL2005 x64

    Hi All:
    After successful export with R3Load of a ECC5.00 (Kernel 6.40 Patch level 171) when we import the data into SQL2005 SP1 and after successful import into the target database, we have some inconsistencies in several DYNPROS, we got errors like this when we run several transactions:
    BZW Error 2 during compression/decompression ( UNPAC)
    AB0 Run-time error "DYNPRO_SYNTAX_ERROR" occurred
    and in the trace files we found:
    Fri Feb 23 16:12:35 2007
    ***LOG BZW=> error 2          on compression/decompression using UNPACK     [dbdynp#1 @ 842] [dbdynp  0842 ]

    dbdynp.c     842]
    ERROR => DY-SRC_READ BUFFER: any error 4 [dgdynp.c     1225]
    It seems the DYNPROSOURCE table contains bad entries, but the export/import procedure was successful, we also execute "Tools for MS SQL" successfully.
    Any help will be greatly appreciated...!!!

    Hi Federico
    Seems there is some problem in kernals.I would suggest a solution :Solution: Copy <putdir>\exe to $(DIR_EXE_ROOT)\$(OS_UNICODE)\NTAMD64
    and repeat phase.
    Let me know if it works.
    Also check the numbers in instance problem,it should not be more than 20 for windows.

  • Procedure names in lowercase (export/import)

    After an export/import into a new schema all package/procedure/function names are written in uppercase and within ". The rule in our norms and standards defines to write object names in lowercase. Is there a solution to keep object names in lowercase and without "?
    We work with Oracle 10gR2 and developer tool Toad!
    Example:
    before import --> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE p_to_bk_trans_multiversa
    after import --> CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE "P_TO_BK_TRANS_MULTIVERSA"
    The name of the object is now written in uppercase.

    Hi,
    I remember an issue where DataPump was no preserving the spacing and <cr> in functions, procedures, and packages, but I don't remember an issue where it was upcasing the name. I just checked with 11.2 and it seems to work fine. I created 2 functions:
    create function foo (a number) return number is
    begin
    if a > 0 then
    return 10;
    else
    return 100;
    end if;
    end;
    create or replace function "foo" (a number) return number is
    begin
    if a > 0 then
    return 10;
    else
    return 100;
    end if;
    end;
    Then ran export/import to sqlfile and got this:
    CREATE function foo (a number) return number is
    begin
    if a > 0 then
    return 10;
    else
    return 100;
    end if;
    end;
    CREATE function "foo" (a number) return number is
    begin
    if a > 0 then
    return 10;
    else
    return 100;
    end if;
    end;
    So, it looks like it has been fixed in 11.2. I'm not sure if there is a patch available for your release, but you could contact Oracle Support to see.

  • Client Copy Export/Import on large system. 1.5 TB

    Hi,
    We have a 3 tier landscape. DEV, TST, PRD.
    Database size in PRD is 1.5 TB (1500 GB)
    Our developers need fresh master and trans data in TST and DEV.
    We are thinking about making a
    PRD --> TST  (1.5 TB) we do a system copy.
    TST --> DEV (1.5 TB) we can't do a system copy. (Company policy says not to touch repository objects, version management what so ever in DEV....)
    1. How long will a client export / import take from TST --> DEV,  lets say we have "good HW" ?  Will it work ?
    2. I've read about TDMS but its toooo expensive.....is there maybe any 3 party tool that is good for this purpose ? Transfering 1.5 TB of data ...
    Br,
    Martin

    Hi,
    >1. How long will a client export / import take from TST --> DEV, lets say we have "good HW" ? Will it >work ?
    In my opinion, a 1.5 TB database is much too big for a client copy.
    It will work but may last a full week and would degrade the production system performance.
    We have 1.3 TB databases and stopped using client copies since the system was 300 GB...
    We only use database restores and renaming for system refresh even for the dev system.
    There is procedure to keep the versionning of sources.

  • SLD Export / import Technical and Business systems

    Dear all,
    I am new to SLD administration.
    We have task to update the local SLD on the Production PI system PPI ( Target ) with the business systems ZEC, ZSC from the Production Master SLD on Production solution manager system
    PSM ( source ) using Export/Import on the necessary technical and business systems.
    Please confirm whether i am following correct steps :
    Go to SLD Administration on PPI target system
    ALL Instances
    Instances by Class
    Model
    ( which one of this option need to be selected , please let me know  ?? )
    Go to SLD Administration on PSM source system.
    select Export button ->
    Select business systems one by one and perform Export which will create .ZIP file
    at local machine.
    Go to SLD Administration on PPI target system
    select Import button ->
    Select Export ZIP file which created in previous steps from PSM and provide location from desktop
    Start Import button ( only if you get Continue import option )
    Please let me know if above procedure is correct for business systems
    if yes then  what need to be done for Technical system ??...do they require Export/import also ?
    If yes when i go to technical system option i get Export option disabled...but same way when i go to
    business systems option i get Export button enable and able to perform the export.
    Do i need to only Export / Import business systems ?
    Plese help me.
    Regards,
    RR

    Manoj,
    It seems entries are added manually .... should we remove and run Import for the same ...
    or just try to overwrite .... in case of overwrite option ( as we have open OSS message ) SAP has suggested through OSS message that If you end up with problems when trying to overwrite, then the PPI SLD is broken and will have to be re-built because someone made a manual change to it and got the GUIDs out of synch with the master.
    I do not understand if target system PPI SLD gets broken during overwriting operation as mentioned by SAP ... whats is the way / steps / procedure to Re-build SLD .
    In rebuilt - process do i need to Import ( Export -> Export lines -> ALL ) the export backup created before start of this activity ? please let me know SLD rebuilt steps and about Remove - reimport issue.
    Appreciate you time on this. thanks in advance.

  • (ABAP+JAVA) system is too big to export/import

    We have some NW04s and ECC6 dual stack systems that we want to frequently clone using homogeneous system copy method.
    However they can be as big as many terabytes.
    Is there a way to clone they using a way other than export/import?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0, you can copy ABAPJava systems in one run using either database-specific methods or database-independent methods. In a ABAPJAVA stack system, you need to run a separate export for the Java engine to archive SDM and application specific file contents. You will have to supply that java Export location on the target system, while performing DB specific system copy procedure.
    Please refer [system copy guide for ABAP+JAVA stack |http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000670917&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000112&_OBJECT=011000358700000416402008E] along with the previously suggested links to get more information.

  • Export in procedure

    Can we use export/import command in a stored procedure itself?

    If Oracle database version is less than 10g, then probably you can use external procedures to call exp/imp. However if you are using 10g, then you can use datapump API. Search for DBMS_DATAPUMP for more examples.

  • Unit Tester: Bug in Export/Import of Suites

    I was moving my Unit Test repository from one schema to another, so I first exported all of my suites and then imported them into a new repository.
    But, when I imported them into their new repository, all of the tests forgot what specific function/procedure name within a package they were actually calling. For example, the test that used to be for "pccdb.rotat_maintenance.parseRotatKey", now says it's going to call "pccdb.rotat" (i.e. the specific function name it's supposed to be calling within that package disappeared).
    I went looking and found that in the UT_TEST table, the "object_call" column was null for all of my tests, but because all of my tests call methods within packages, I'm thinking that column shouldn't be NULL. So, I filled in the appropriate function name for one of them, and the test started working....
    So, something in the import or export of unit suites (or their tests) isn't working quite right in populating the ut_tests.object_call column, I'm guessing - please take a look at it.

    This was originally reported in SQL Developer 2.1: Problem exporting and importing unit tests thread. It was logged as
    Bug 9236694 - 2.1: OTN: UT_TEST.OBJECT_CALL COLUMN NOT EXPORTED/IMPORTED
    It has been fixed and will be available in the next patch release.

  • Export Import to Maintain Test and Production Environments

    We have developed an application using Locally built Database Providers in Oracle Portal 9.0.2.6 which is installed to 2 schemas, has 5 different providers, and over 100 Portal major components (Forms, Reports, and Calendars) and over 200 minor components (LOV's and Links). We have used export/import transport sets with some luck, but it is a struggle becuase the import procedures are not very robust. Many things (such as missing LOV's, corrupt components, preexisting versions, etc, etc.) can cause an import to fail. And the cleanup necessary to finally achieve a successful import can be very time-consuming.
    Having a robust import mechanism is very important to our strategy for keeping installed (our own and clients') portal instances up-to-date with our latest release. Some of the enhancements that would make it much easier to develop and maintain Portal applications include:
    Within the Portal:
    1. Ability to copy an entire provider within the same portal (rather than one component at a time).
    2. Ability to change the schema to which a Provider is associated.
    3. When copying a component from one provider to another, the dependent items (i.e. LOVs and Links) should be copied to new second provider as well. (i.e. rather rebuilding each LOV in each provider and then editing each form to point to the new LOVs)
    Transport Sets:
    4. Should allow for changing provider names and provider schema, and global component name changes, and resetting unqiue id's on import (to create copy rather than overwrite).
    5. Should allow the option to ignore errors and import all components which pass pre-check (rather than failing all components if all items do not pass pre-check).
    How are other Portal Developers dealing with installing and then rolling out new sets of Locally built Database Providers from Development environments to Production? Are there any whitepapers on the best practices for replicating/installing a portal application to a new portal instance and then keeping it updated?
    Oracle, are any of my wish-list items above on the future enhancement lists? Or have others figured out workarounds?
    Thanks,
    Trenton

    These are all useful documents for a successful first-time Export-Import. However, the limitations and lack of robustness I listed in my first post, make the process so time-consuming and error fraught as to not be a practical development strategy.
