  • Extracting doc number information from dox saved in DMS

    Hello,
    I'm wanting to have a macro written that will put a document id into the
    footer of saved documents when the appropriate button is pushed.
    I know I can use the standard Word "Insert | Autotext | Header/Footer |
    Filename or Filename and path but when I do that, I get something like
    this:
    ::ODMAGRPWISEDOMAIN_AUS_DOM.POSTOFFICE_AUS_PO.Offi ce Administration:9055.1
    whereas the powers-that-be want something like this:
    OA:9055.1
    and nothing else. (The "OA" bit is the short version of Office
    Administration)
    I have a developer who thinks he may be able to pull this together, but he
    has posed this question:
    Is there a way to retrieve the profile information from Groupwise for a
    document that is currently open on screen?
    Using GW7, SP2 on NetWare 6.5, SP6.
    TIA,
    Catherine

    I think if you insert the filename with the option to include the path name,
    you will get the ODMA string with the doc number at the end (assuming the
    document has been saved and already has been assigned a doc number). Can
    you parse that somehow? I did this a long time ago in WP but not Word.
    Seems to me you should be able to record a macro to do that.

    Help  I suddenly cannot extract docs and delete, nor insert docs after I scan them or combine different docs.

  • How to get a value from Specific XML Node

    Hi all,
    I'm just trying to introduce to XMLType and see the potencialities of that.
    DB version:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.5.0 - 64bi
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
    CORE     10.2.0.5.0     Production
    TNS for IBM/AIX RISC System/6000: Version 10.2.0.5.0 - Productio
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.5.0 - Production
    I'm a table with just one CLOB field:
    CREATE TABLE asm_test
    (doc XMLType NOT NULL)
    XMLTYPE doc STORE AS CLOB;
    Then i've inserted the following XML data:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ReceiptDesc>
    <appt_nbr>2142473</appt_nbr>
    - <Receipt>
    <dc_dest_id>401</dc_dest_id>
    <po_nbr>2142473</po_nbr>
    <document_type>P</document_type>
    <asn_nbr />
    - <ReceiptDtl>
    <item_id>509720</item_id>
    <unit_qty>83.0000</unit_qty>
    <receipt_xactn_type>R</receipt_xactn_type>
    + <receipt_date>
    <year>2012</year>
    <month>09</month>
    <day>17</day>
    <hour>15</hour>
    <minute>33</minute>
    <second>49</second>
    </receipt_date>
    <receipt_nbr>6902340</receipt_nbr>
    <container_id>1</container_id>
    <to_disposition>ATS</to_disposition>
    <user_id>NTCPO01</user_id>
    <catch_weight />
    </ReceiptDtl>
    - <ReceiptDtl>
    <item_id>509740</item_id>
    <unit_qty>17.0000</unit_qty>
    <receipt_xactn_type>R</receipt_xactn_type>
    + <receipt_date>
    <year>2012</year>
    <month>09</month>
    <day>17</day>
    <hour>15</hour>
    <minute>33</minute>
    <second>49</second>
    </receipt_date>
    <receipt_nbr>6902344</receipt_nbr>
    <container_id>1</container_id>
    <to_disposition>ATS</to_disposition>
    <user_id>NTCPO01</user_id>
    <catch_weight />
    </ReceiptDtl>
    </Receipt>
    </ReceiptDesc>
    And then i have started to make some tests to retrieve data from.
    SELECT EXTRACTVALUE(doc, '/ReceiptDesc/appt_nbr') FROM asm_test; -- got the correct value 2142473
    SELECT EXTRACTVALUE(doc, '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/dc_dest_id') FROM asm_test; ---- got the correct value 401
    select count(*) from asm_jam_test d where (d.doc.getClobVal()) like '%NTCPO01%'; -- got 1
    But i need to find a Specific data from XML (the main goal is to update a value inside XML).
    If i try this:
    select extract(doc, '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl/item_id/text()').getstringVal() from asm_test
    where existsNode(doc,'/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl/receipt_nbr') = 1;
    got: 509720509740 -- which are the concatenate of 2 Item_ids
    when i try to find out the Item_id of specific receipt_nbr i got a NULL response.
    select extract(doc, '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl/item_id/text()').getstringVal()
    from  asm_test
    where existsNode(doc,'/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl/receipt_nbr') = 1 and
    extract(doc,'/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl/receipt_nbr/text()').getstringVal() = '6902340';
    What i'm doing wrong or which is the best way to get data from XML?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Thanks for providing db version and sample data in the first place.
    Don't forget to use the &#x7B;code} tags to preserve formatting.
    Also, when posting XML, do not copy/paste directly from your browser as it retains +/- signs and therefore needs extra processing on our side.
    select count(*) from asm_jam_test d where (d.doc.getClobVal()) like '%NTCPO01%'; -- got 1No, don't do it like that.
    Use existsNode() function in this situation :
    SQL> select count(*)
      2  from asm_test
      3  where existsNode(doc, '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl[user_id="NTCPO01"]') = 1
      4  ;
      COUNT(*)
             1
    when i try to find out the Item_id of specific receipt_nbr i got a NULL response.Yes, that's because this :
    extract(doc,'/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl/receipt_nbr/text()').getstringVal()returns :
    69023406902344So obviously it cannot be equal to '6902340'.
    When you have to deal with repeating nodes individually, use XMLTable function to break the structure into relational rows and columns.
    The resultset you'll get acts as a virtual table (or inline view) you can then manipulate with SQL operations :
    SQL> select x.*
      2  from asm_test t
      3     , xmltable(
      4         '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl'
      5         passing t.doc
      6         columns item_id     varchar2(15) path 'item_id'
      7               , receipt_nbr varchar2(15) path 'receipt_nbr'
      8       ) x
      9  ;
    ITEM_ID         RECEIPT_NBR
    509720          6902340
    509740          6902344
    Now, you can just add a WHERE clause to filter the RECEIPT_NBR you require :
    SQL> select x.item_id
      2  from asm_test t
      3     , xmltable(
      4         '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl'
      5         passing t.doc
      6         columns item_id     varchar2(15) path 'item_id'
      7               , receipt_nbr varchar2(15) path 'receipt_nbr'
      8       ) x
      9  where x.receipt_nbr = '6902340'
    10  ;
    ITEM_ID
    509720
    That can also be achieved with EXTRACTVALUE and a single XPath expression (assuming RECEIPT_NBR is unique) :
    SQL> select extractvalue(
      2           doc
      3         , '/ReceiptDesc/Receipt/ReceiptDtl[receipt_nbr="6902340"]/item_id'
      4         ) as item_id
      5  from asm_test
      6  ;
    ITEM_ID
    509720

  • PO_QTY came out with 0 and negative number

    Hi experts,
    I was loading data via 2LIS_02_SCL,2LIS_02_ITM. PO_QTY was populated by ABAP instance. But some PO_QTY number came out with zero and negative number while some of other PO_QTY number came out with the right number.
    I was working on this problem for 2 days but have no idea on it. Anybody can help me?
    Thanks a lot.
    Junbo

    dear Junbo,
    are you working with business content extractor only, i mean no enhancement to that field ? i think it can be 'program error' that po quantity is not correct, try to search oss note ? what's your r/3 PI level ? applied the oss note mentioned before working with lo-mm pur ? it's stated in mm pur extraction doc (if you have not this doc, let's know your email, will send you).
    if you are using business content extractor only without enhancement to this field, you may create oss message to get sap help. debug with rsa3 option debug marked is possible.
    hope this helps.

  • Retrieving data from different node in SQL

    Hi friends,
    First of all:

    4     TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.3.0 - Production
    5     NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.3.0 - ProductionI have a small but annoying problem. I have to build a bank application which must take data from an input file, and, based on those information, to execute some stored procedures (create a new customer, create a new account, create a transaction for an account).
    For example: the input file contain few new customers (FirstName, LastName, SocialSecurityNumber, BirthDay, Address and PhoneNo), for each customer at least 1 account to be created, for each account 1 or more transactions (the amount of transaction).
    Let me be more specific. This is an XML as a input file:

    Well, I'm thinking to do that by loading that XML into a pre-staging table - INS_STG1 - (the loading part is not an issue for the moment) and by parsing the XML in order to get my necessary information (inserting into the second staging table INS_STG2) to launch those procedures.
    Something like this (for the moment I insert only the customer information since I don't know how to get to the second level):
    DECLARE
       TYPE ty_rec_1    IS RECORD (v_cust_firstname       VARCHAR2(32),

    Thanks!

    As [url http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e26088/functions061.htm#SQLRF06173]extractvalue is deprecated in your version, you need to switch to another method as the documentation suggests.
    Going forward with that, here is a starter SQL that gives you the desired output

  • GoldenGate on Oracle Standard Edition

    Hi,
    GoldenGate supports extract from an Oracle Standard Edition One database, but I have not yet managed to create an extract queue.
    I have read the manuals, I have searched Oracle forum and I have also searched Oracle Support pages, but I haven't found anything how it should be done.
    Please guide me.
    I have tried to create the extract with several different commands. Here are some of them:
    add extract ggsrc, tranlog, begin now, threads 1
    add extract ggsrc, tranlog, begin now, passive
    Here is the error message I receive:

    EXTRACT added.
    As you can see the command is trying to use an option which is not enabled in the Standard Edition One. It is using some Streams functionality which is standard in Enterprise Edition.

  • Display my twitter in Flash

    Hello,
    I want to display my tweets in flash using as3. Is there any tutorial teach me how to do that. please ?!
    Regards,

    this is an excerpt from a recently published book i wrote, http://www.amazon.com/Flash-Game-Development-Social-Mobile/dp/1435460200/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF 8&qid=1373033301&sr=8-1&keywords=gladstien
    Two main steps are needed to use requests that requires authentication. First, you must register your game with Twitter. Second, you must either implement the OAuth protocol or use a library like Tweetr that implements the protocol.
    Game Registration
    To use requests that require authentication (and those for which it is supported), you must first register your game with Twitter at https://dev.twitter.com/apps/new.  (See Fig11-12.)
    ***Insert Fig11-12.tif***
                   [The Twitter application registration page at https://dev.twitter.com/apps/new.]
    Fill out their form, agree with all those rules, prove you are a human being by filling out the Captcha form and click the Create your Twitter application button. You should see Fig11-13.
    ***Insert Fig11-13.tif***
                   [After successful registration, copy your Consumer key and secret.]
    Copy your Consumer key and Consumer secret. You will need both to make authenticated requests on behalf of users. These numbers are used by Twitter to identify your game when a user gives your game permission to make requests on their behalf.
    Click the Settings tab (see Fig11-14) and add an icon or change your settings, if needed. In particular, note the Application Type settings.  If you need more than read-access, tick the Read and Write or Read, Write and Access direct messages.
    ***Insert Fig11-14.tif***
                   [The Twitter application registration page at https://dev.twitter.com/apps/new.]
    Click the Update this Twitter application's settings if you made any changes or additions.
    Tweetr
    Tweetr is a free open-source ActionScript library that implements the OAuth protocol and allows your game to make Twitter requests that require authentication. Setting up your game to use Tweetr is a multi-step process.
    All the needed files are in support files/Chapter 11/twitter/authentication. But to ensure you have the latest files go to http://wiki.swfjunkie.com/tweetr.
    Download and extract swcs.zip
    Download and extract oauth_template.zip
    Download and extract docs.zip
    Download and extract proxy.zip
    Add tweetrWEB swc to your library path extracted from the swc.zip.
    Go to http://code.google.com/p/as3crypto/downloads/list and download as3crypto.swc
    Add as3crypto.swc to your library path.  (See Fig11-15.)
    Find the js folder extracted in step 2 and upload it to your server.
    Find the proxy folder (that contains index.php, install.php and Tweetr.php) extracted in step 4 and upload to your website.
    Open your website's install.php file in your browser and follow the steps to create the needed files.  Here is a walk-through: http://wiki.swfjunkie.com/tweetr:howtos:installing-the-proxy
    Create a verified.html page and upload it to your server:
    Create twitter.html, your swf's embedding html page, and upload it to your server:
    Upload the swfObject folder from support files/Chapter 11/twitter/authentication
    ***Insert Fig11-15.tif***
                   [You should have both TweetrWEB.swc and as3crypto.swc in your library path and both should have Link Type: Merged into code. Your paths will be different from that shown.]

  • 2 event-based mediators (in 2 separate composites) are triggered instead of

    Hi,
    I followed steps in http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_hwfmodel.htm#BABDBAJJ to create an SOA composite with event based mediator to be executed when a task is assigned to users. I created two separate composites (each one has an event mediator) but at runtime we noticed that whenever we execute a composite, both mediators in both composites are triggered !!

    I have the same problem. It would be great to see a solution. This is what I am trying to do:
    My xml document:
    <document>
    <person>
    <name>Jasmina</name>
    </person>
    <person>
    <name>Tajib</name>
    </person>
    <person>
    <name>Serif</name>
    </person>
    </document>
    Statement:
    select extract(doc, '/document/person/name/text()').getStringVal() as Names
    from xml_test
    Returns:
    NAMES
    JasminaTajibSerif
    I would like to get:
    NAMES
    Jasmina
    Tajib
    Serif

  • XQuery for (CLOB)-XMLType

    I would like to know whether XQuery is supporting XMLType (CLOB).
    It seems to be possible to apply XQuery on a sqlquery by using the command sqlquery(..) according to FOR $b IN sqlquery(..)
    This however throws a parsing excpetion when I use an sql-query that contains the extract statement which is used for CLOBs
    Please help !
    Below a piece of code that is not running..
    FOR $b IN sqlquery("select extract( doc,'/MeasurementSystems/' ).getStringVal() from V34_6jisno7sf3ksve4m5pabk33h1b X")/MeasurementSystems/MeasurementSeries/*

    Marcel,
    Does the extract work outside of the sqlquery and FOR loop?

  • Who to query and join nested elements

    I have a table that contains a XMLTYPE Field. How do I query and join nested elements. For example I have a schema that has a PerstrenList element that holds one or more Perstren nodes.  The Perstren node will contain a RemarksList node that can contain one or more Remarks nodes.  My goal is to query all of the Remarks and join them with the information in it's parent node. Without the parent node information the remark is meaningless.  Following is a example document and desire result set. I know how to query the Perstren or the Remarks I just can not figure out how to marry the two. The query should only return the remarks joined with the parent information.

  • Expecting a cartesian join but did not get 1 (try to understand what is hap

    Hello Oracle XML DB gurus,
    I have successfully registered my schemas and inserted about 10,000 XML documents into the repository. Now I need to start reporting on the data that is in the documents. Following is a simplified form of my set-up.
    I have a table that contain a XML_TYPE column that is schema based.
    I will call the table TEST_REF it has two columns: ID number (PK) and XML_DOC which is of the foo schema.
    foo schema has the following structure (foo is unbounded).
    <DataSet>
    <fooList>
    <foo>
    <val1></val1>
    <val2></val2>
    </foo>
    <foo>
    <val1></val1>
    <val2></val2>
    </foo>
    </fooList>
    </DataSet>
    What I would like to do is select the XML document that I want to extract data from using the ID column. After that I wanted to be able to select all of the data values in /DataSet/fooList/foo from that document (val1 & val2).
    I was able to do just that using the following query. However, I do not understand why the following query does not give me a cartesian product when I try to operate on mulitple documents. I'm actually getting exactly what I want, which are the individual data values from each document. I just need to understand what is going on. Does the table() function when used in this fashion perform a inner join for you? I hope this make sense.
    select doc.id, extractvalue(Column_value,'/foo/val1') as VALUE1,
    extractvalue(Column_value,'/foo/val2') as VALUE2
    from test_ref doc,
    table(XMLSequence(extract(doc.XML_DOC,'/DataSet/fooList/foo'))) foobar
    where doc.id ='1'
    ------------------------ second where causes the I thought would cause a cartesian join--------------------
    where doc.id in (1,2)
    Sample data and results when using second where clause:
    ID=1
    <DataSet>
    <fooList>
    <foo>
    <val1>2</val1>
    <val2>22</val2>
    </foo>
    <foo>
    <val1>4</val1>
    <val2>44</val2>
    </foo>
    </fooList>
    </DataSet>
    ID=2
    <DataSet>
    <fooList>
    <foo>
    <val1>1</val1>
    <val2>11</val2>
    </foo>
    <foo>
    <val1>3</val1>
    <val2>33</val2>
    </foo>
    </fooList>
    </DataSet>
    Results:
    ID Value1 Value2
    1 2 22
    1 4 44
    2 1 11
    2 3 33
    If what I'm asking does not make sense please let me know. I'm a newbe with this Oracle XML DB stuff. However, I really like what I have seen so far!
    Thanks in advance
    Derrick

    It's a correlated join...
