Facebook contacts won't sync into phone contacts iOS 6

So I had all my Facebook contacts linked nicely with my phone. And yes I liked having everyone's information in my phone. But suddenly all my facebook contacts have disappeared from my contacts. I've tried togglying sync with contacts button and signing out and back in to Facebook, about 25 or so random facebook contacts have synced with the contacts but I want all 400+ names in there. How can I get all my Facebook contacts to sync into my phone contacts?

I feel shy I'm so sorry... I'm using Windows. Any chance to get contacts without completely switching to Mac? Maybe a kind of application, which will do all the magic and take all of my contacts into one place? With photos, Facebook profiles, Skype links, etc.
And yes, I would be happy if the place will be iCloud.
I tried one 3rd party application. It has the interface, which is quite similar to the native iPhone Contacts app. It does the magic and collects all my contacts from all sources. But it stores it inside. I want my contacts to be accessible by the native iPhone app.

    Thank you for the answers so far, but I'll make one correction: I said earlier that the Boston Globe website, boston.com, does not have a mobile site, and I would need to visit their regular website on my iPhone. Actually, I just found out that boston.com has a mobile site, so I'd obviously use that instead of the regular site. By doing that, I'd save a ton of data (I think). Does that change your answers?

    Problem : IPad Mini connects to iTunes OK, can be seen in iTunes and I can select which movies to sync to it etc.  When I hit the "apply" button after making a change (ie deleting or adding a movie) the sync lasts just a second then the "sync" button remains greyed out, and I can't make them sync.

  • Bluetooth won't sync with phone...

    Alright so everytime I tried to sync my phone or pair my phone as a new device (recently did a fresh install of snow leopard)
    the bluetooth manager clearly says my bluetooth is off, icon turns off then turns on then tries to do the pairing again...
    but it just completely fails....
    I've had no problems when i was in 10.5.7 i believe... when i first bought this macbook m-2007 off of my sister in law...
    do you guys know how to fix it?

    Are you using Mac OS 10.9 or later? Iff so, see this note:

  • Facebook Contacts & iOS Contact Sync

    inhave iOS 8.1 and my Facebook app is up to date. When I go into settings and then Facebook and then hit update contacts my friends photos aren't syncing to my contacts. Also, what if someone on Facebook isn't using the same name as the one in my contact list? Is there a way to get all of my Facebook people to show up in my contact list so I can link them to the person I have stored in my iCloud contaste?

    You've basically answered your own question, as follows:
    You are not using iCloud, nor are you using iTunes on a computer.  These are the two vehicles Apple primarily uses for sync.
    Therefore, as you said, any sync that occurs would be in the hands of Yahoo, your email provider.  So it's really a question for them.  I would guess syncing is likely, but that's entirely up to Yahoo.

    Ok so I have been travelling South America for 3 months. In the first 6?weeks my iPAd and I phone were syncing and working well. When I updated my phone and iPad to the 7.o2 my iPad started asking for my apple account which then was coming up incorrect. I reset this, but nothing came to my nail. I answered the questions, but it still wasn't recognising the password. My photos weren't syncing anymore, I'm not able to access iTunes or apps. When I try to log onto Facebook from Safari, it comes up weird and in a list of normal writing. My iPad says it does not recognise the server.
    Everything is working well on my iPhone, but really need my iPad for travelling essentials which is the reason I bought it. Downloading books, music ,games , photos to fb etc.
    Can someone please help?? I've tried resetting the iPad, but nothing. My email address is my id so this is only used.

    You can try resetting your iPad and iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
    Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Videos in iPhoto won't sync to phone.

    When i take a video with my iPhone 3gs and upload it to iphoto, it won't show up in my phone when i sync it through iTunes even though the check box to include videos is selected. Help! this is very frustrating. I am using iTunes 9, iPhoto 5.0.4 running on a powerbook G4 and i have an iPhone 3gs. I've tried restoring my phone, deleting the photos from my phone and re-syncing, no luck. Am i doing something wrong? is there a setting i'm not enabling?

    All videos are synced from itunes to the ipod app. Videos you take with your phone are imported to iphoto, from there you import into itunes, convert to iphone/ipod version and sync back to your phone. Or, you could just leave them in your camera roll.

  • All iTunes songs grayed out and won't sync to phone

    I have over 9000 songs in my iTunes library. My iTunes library is stored locally on my iMac.  The vast majority of songs were imported from CD's I own.  If in iTunes I make the selection to sync the entire library to my phone, iTunes reports that there are about only 250 songs total.  If I select "Sync only checked songs" and choose a few songs or albums, the number of songs to sync stays at zero. iTunes version 12.1.0.50.
    When viewing my iTunes library I noticed that just about all of my song titles are gray.  If I click on a song in iTunes it plays no problem. However I can't sync anything over to my phone anymore.
    If I go to the library location on my HDD all of the music files are there as they should be.
    I appreciate any suggestion - I've been trying to fix this for some time now and have had no success.

    I have finally solved this issue.  Here is the solution:
    1. Open iTunes
    2. Select Music
    3. In the upper right hand corner select Albums.
    4. Under "All Albums" highlight the first album, then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, hold down the shift key and select the last album.
    5. All albums should now be selected.
    6. Place the cursor over one of the albums. Press with 2 fingers on the trackpad to bring up the menu.
    7. Select "Check All"
    8. Congratulations - no more grayed out songs and they will sync now.
    9. Go into your iPhone sync and check the songs you want to transfer and click the sync button.

  • Apps won't sync to phone- not is previous purchases. Problem with apple id?

    Previously purchased apps show up in itunes but not in itunes store. They were deleted from phone during upgrade and say not authorized during attempt to sync. I'm using same Apple ID but still can't sync apps. I think this may be somehow the problem as I tried to change the email address associated with my account. I changed it back but now all record of my apps (and giftcard balance) is gone except for the fact that they show up in itunes. Any ideas on how to get my apps back on my phone? Can I somehow check what apple id my apps are authorized for?

    Can anyone tell me how I can sync my iMessages on my phone with my computer? I know my apple id is set up correctly on my computer, but for some reason my texts don't appear there.

    Your computer's message account will identify you by Apple ID, and not telephone number.  So you have to set up your iPhone to identify you the same way.  Look in Settings --> Messages --> Receive at on your iPhone to set that up.
    The person sending / receiving messages from you will have to use that Apple ID as well.

  • Songs won't sync into my iPod, this is a weird one!

    So. I try to sync my 30G video to with my iTunes. (yes, it's the newest update of itunes)
    Everything looks right, iTunes shows the status bar on the top, saying for example"transferring songs, 200/1000 Metallica - Master of Puppets, etc.", and it transfers all the songs, no error messages or anything (takes the normal time too, about 15 mins.
    Then, when I try to find the songs on my iPod, they are not there.
    So, then I restored the iPod to factory settings, and now I have NO (0) songs on it, even though I've tried to sync it many many times.
    On the iPod tab, where it shows the bar with all the stuff on your iPod, it even says "5Gt video, 5Gt music" etc..
    Oh, and if I try to sync the songs for the second or third time, after restoring, instead of saying:"5Gt video, 5Gt music" etc, the bar just says "10Gt OTHER".
    Any help would be appriciated, I'm getting pretty frustrated over here...

    This could be a case of drive letter confusion on your computer.

  • Purchased itunes music won't sync from phone to computer

    I downloaded a preordered album today onto my iphone 5. The songs will show up under the artist name and album but NOT in (either) purchased playlists. I went to put the new album onto my computer from my iphone and it will not back up. I also tryed to go onto itunes via my computer and get the purchased album from my history but it would not give me an option to download it from the cloud.
    Has anyone had this problem and found a solution??

  • Sync i-phone using iOS 7.0.4 with Microsoft Office 7

    I had been using iOS 5 on my iPhone 4S and had set up the iCloud on Microsoft Office to wirelessly sync my contacts, calendar and tasks; and it worked beautifully.  I had been holding off on upgrading to iOS 7 because I didn't want to have to use iMaps; but, I finally felt I had to do it.  Big mistake!  Initially, my phone locked up and I had to restore from my laptop as the restore would not work on my desktop.  Once I finally got the phone working again, it would no longer sync through the iCloud.  I have had to resort to using a cable between my work desktop and phone and even then, it will not sync my contacts and calendar correctly.  Apple has been less than no help with there only suggestion being that I should switch to Apple and quit using Microsoft.  Real professional!
    Anyone else having this issue and have you been able to resolve it?  What did you do?
    If I can't get my contacts and calendar to sync, half of the reason I have a smart phone is gone.

    Rather than switching to Apple, use a smartphone that WILL sync with your calendar and contacts - a Windows or Android phone.  iPhones do sync with Apple products nearly flawlessly, but they don't play nice with other OS's.
    Android works well with Google; and Windows works well with, well, Windows and Microsoft products.  Android and Windows do cooperate somewhat.
