Factoring a Goods Receipt Batch Value by 100

In our scenario we are receiving material using Batch Specific Alternate Units of Measure.  The base uom of the material is LB and we've created a Batch Specific uom called GLB under No Dimensions   We have also configured a conversion ratio called L/G (lb/glb) also under No Dimensions.
In configuration for the Batch Specific calculations for Proportional Factors we are using the "Calculation of base quantity from proportion/product quantity" section with the Characteristic UoM L/G and the calculation is Base Uom LB / Batch Specific UoM GLB
If the LB is at a 75.15% weight of the batch specific unit GLB then we enter .7515 in the characteristic.  This calculation works fines and delivers the desired result however to make it simpler to enter and less error prone I'm searching for a solution so that the end user can enter 75.15 which will result in the exact same conversion factor.
Is this possible and if so how.  I've tried many combinations of ratio factors in the Unit of Measure (t-code CUNI) with no success.

Hi Jeff,
As 75.15% weight of the batch specific unit GLB  characteristic value .7515 conversion will be fine.
If you enter the value as 75.15 you not have conversion factor directly, Please refer OSS note 362932 -Conversion with proportion/product units
You can use the Object dependencies in that case. You enter data in any unit of measure. The conversion factors are determined by object dependencies using characteristics of the batch classification, or they are entered manually. If there is no conversion factor to be determined or none is entered, the system uses the planned conversion factor. The conversion factors are stored in the batch classification as characteristic values.
Also you can use the function module MURC_ROUND_FOR_FRACT which works with a new algorithm for the calculation of the approximation. This algorithm determines the best possible approximation depending on the available (decimal) places and the length of the conversion factors (numerator and denominator)

  • Goods receipt without value updation in 501 movement.

    Hi,
We are receiving the material from other plant for job work.
If i take the material into stock through 501 movement type the Value is getting updated in the receiving plant as per the value from the Material Master which same material also being exist in the receiving plant.
I need to avoid posting the value while goods receipt through 541 Movement..
    Suggession please.
    Urgent please...............
    regards,
    Sridhar

    Hi Sridhar,
I don't have much information on the process you're trying to engage. But you can always create a free transfer PO and then the material documents.
Are you aware of the financial implications of having stock transfers and no financial documents related?
You can always use movement 561 and manage a dummy account in OBYC.

  • Adding Goods Receipt  batches dynamically when editing document ?

    Hi,
Is it possible to add batches dynamically from SDK to an open and currently editing Goods Receipt PO?
e.g, I would like to load batches from several xml-files and they must be validated and sometimes
by hand connected to correct item-row at editing time. I'm opening a series of different forms
to get the user to select valid xml-files and all that works fine. The problem comes first
when to insert the batches into the current open document.
Can I in some way load a SapbobuiCOM.Document from the open Form and
add batches using the xxx.lines.BatchNumbers object?
    (it would be simple then)
    With regards,
    jonas

    Hi David!
Thank's a lot for your answere!
I probably had to do a new window for veryfing connected batches, which when
form is saved as you said, updates the businessobject.
    Thank's!

  • Need rounding off value for partial Goods receipt

    Hi,
My requirement is that the PO value,PO tax value ,GR value and Invoice value(IR) should get rounded off.
When I am using the PO value which is rounded off in PO, but at the time of posting partial goods receipt the value for the GR/IR clearing or the stock value is not getting rounded off for these G/ls.
What should I do for this to get the rounded off values in GR.
    Regards,
    Goraksh

    Hi Goraksh,
The problem is that the pricing (incl. the rule 17) is not normally called at the time of GR. As Jürgen wrote, the system just uses the "net value" field of the PO.
I have however a "wild" idea. If the price in the PO comes from the info record or from a contract (and not changed manually there), then you can set the "pricing date category" = 5 there, meaning "GR date". This causes the pricing to be called again at the time of GR and your formula 17 will fire.
The side effect of course is that the price that you had in the PO, printed and sent to the vendor will not be binding: if you change the PIR price before the GR, the GR will be posted to the new PIR price, despite the fact that the PO printout showed something else. So the question is if the price printed on the PO is indeed binding in your business case - in many business cases it is the current vendor price that matters for the billing by the vendor, not the one that you prined on the PO. For such business cases you should have had pricing date category 5 anyway...

  • Sales order valuated stock - Goods receipt

    Hello,
While posting goods receipt for PO which account assignment is sales order. It should valuate goods receipt on the purchase order price but it doesnot valuate on purchase order price.
Example - PO with qty-100 and price 10.While posting goods receipt for PO it should valuate with purchase order price 1000
EURO but in our case it valuates  goods receipt with value 800 EURO.
Will you please tell me from where it takes this value.

    hi,,
    please check the pricing determination..
Ideally material should be valuated of 1000 bt they are valuating at 800..
it seems that somewhere u have used some discount pricing condtion type and maintained the condition record for that condition type..
    Please chk.
    Thanks.

  • Relationship between Goods Issue, Goods Receipt & Invoice Created

    Hi Friends !
    Facing issue in Prod.
In production, where goods receipt quantity reverts back to 0 in BW after when the invoice is created in SAP. This is after BW was already updated with the correct GR quantity and the delivery complete flag.
    Step          DOC_NUM     DOC_ITEM     SCH_LINE    ENT_DATE    PSTNG_DAT  COMPL_DEL   GI_QTY     GR_QTY
    Initial load          0005051554     000300     1     01/21/2011     00/00/0000              0     0
    Change 1 - Goods Issue     0005051554     000300     1     01/21/2011     00/00/0000              0     0
    Change 1 - Goods Issue     0005051554     000300     1     02/14/2011     00/00/0000              53     0

    Change 3 - Invoice created     0005051554     000300     1     03/08/2011     3/8/2011        X        -53     -53
    Change 3 - Invoice created     0005051554     000300     1     03/21/2011     3/21/2011        X         53     0
    Issue : Last record change 3 should have GR_QTY = 53.
Please help how Goods Issue, Good Receipt & Invoice are linked together. Also advise what should be the expected result. How to proceed further. Thanks.
    With Regards
    Rekha

The values for Change 3 are as per standards.
i.e. That is how the system functions.
Ex: Your Order Qty can be 100 & you can Receipt only 50 if you want to.
    Now, GR_QTY = 50.
Coming to Invoice, you can invoice even 100 if you want & then receipt the remaining 50.
If you are Invoicing the full PO quantity, Goods Receipt will be 0.
If you see the field Transfer Process or Transaction Key (BWVORG), it would be clear for you.
For PO creation the value is 1.
For a Goods Receipt the value is 2.
For an Invoice Receipt the value is 3.
Record with the different Process Keys, will signify the action taken on the PO.
When you mark 'Delivery Completed', you are telling the system that we do not require more of this particular material.
So, if you have ordered 100 Qty & receipted & invoiced only 50, & then you mark the Delivery Completion, you will not be able to receipt more of that material for this PO.
(It might sound a little confusing. If you can get some help from your MM consultant, it would be great.)

  • Create Goods Receipt PO from  AP Reserve Invoice (bug?)

Via the user interface of sap2005 pl7 you can create "Goods Receipt PO" from an "AP Reserve Invoice".
In the "base type" field of goods receipt the value "18" is displayed. This seems not to be a "valid value" and it is as a consequence not possible to read the contents of this field with the UI-API, because <i>base type</i> is a combo box and only valid values can be returned.
Is there a workaround to get a none valid value from a combobox?

    Hi Jurgen,
It looks like it is a bug and that the same bug exists on the sales side of the DI API. Herewith a post that you can read about it.

  • Amount for production order goods receipt

How does the system determine the amount of the product order goods receipt for make to order product that uses variant configuration?
Meaning during sales order, the components are selected to make up that product.

It is using Sales Order cost estimate because it is only calculated when the items are selected in sales order.
If there are changes to the sales order, e.g. options are removed or added...
how do I make sure the GR take the new value?
I did the following test in QAS:
    - Production order is created but work not started. Production order deleted.
    - Make changes in sales order.
    - Re-do cost estimate in sales order. I do see that the calculated cost has changed.
    - Recreate production order and as per normal production steps
    - When do production order goods receipt, the value remains the old value and not the new one.
Did I missed out or do the wrong step?
However, that also does not help to explain why the value ended up as only $0.01 as same as MM costing view.

  • Invocie verification without Goods Receipt

    Experts,
Is it possible in MM to do an invoice verification (transaction MIRO) without having a goods receipt?
I mean really no goods receipt, also not goods receipt without value updating.
    Thanks!
    Jan

    hi,
Yes, its possible to create the IR without GR....
You can directly create based on the PO...As suggested, please ensure that you don't use the GR Based IR indicator in the Po Item details...
    Then you can post directly....
    Hope it helps..

  • Copy the from am unsaved goods receipt PO udf  into a batches setup

I am trying to copy the value from a from a goods receipt PO udf  that is not yet saved into a batches setup screen through a formatted search . The batches setup  opens when i press the add button in the goods receipt PO because the item uses batch numbers. Because the goods receipt PO is not the current screen, I cannot use variables. Any idea?

I had exactly the same requirement and this is how I solved it.
You will not be able to use a formatted search as the context window when the batches / serial window opens is different and the field from the GR PO are not available.
You need to create a temp table and write a formatted search to insert the value that you want to carry to the Bacth screen from the GR PO on the refresh of the Item Name or whatever in your case.  (If you give me the exact details I can give you the steps)
Once you open the Batch screen the Goods Receipt PO number is available on the top which you can use as referesh to fetch the data from the temp table.
One more important NOTE:  As you know the Goods Receipt No can be the same for more than one user because SBO gives you the next available number.  To get the record exactly pertaining to that user, when writing the data from GR PO you should also insert the $[USER] value which identifies the user.  You may compare this when fetching the data from the temp table on the Batch screen.
Let me know if you need further direction or help

  • Goods receipt of more than one batches for Production Order

    Hi ,
We are assigning the Batch number in CO01 t code as A1234.1 for Order quantity 100.
I am doing the partial GR and also for the next successive GR's I want to do the GR with batch number as A1234.2, A1234.3..
System is not allowing me to do the Goods recipt for the Batch A1234.2, .3, .4...in MB31.
Please let know if any other way to Goods Receipt.
    Amit Shah

We are assigning the Batch number in CO01 t code as A1234.1 for Order quantity 100.
Dear You are assigned the Batch number in production order, SO It won't allow other than That Batch Number during GR.
IF you want different batch for each GR then remove the Batch assignment in Production order

  • BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE, will do the goods receipt ( MB01 )for the subcontracting PO with batch management.

    Dear Professionals ,
I Just want to confirm that whether BAPI "BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE " will do the goods receipt ( MB01 ) for the subcontracting PO with batch management.
Since I will be passing only 101 mvy type in BAPi, will the system automatically call 543 mvt type with batch management and post the consumption.
can I change the batch of the component items ?

    Hi ,
Delivery note is like a ref document number
    so you can use the
In the BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE There is header structure BAPI2017_GM_HEAD_01 which has a field REF_DOC_NO
you can pass the delivery note value to that field .

  • Goods Receipt value in Purchase Order History

    Hi Experts,
I raised a PO with Account Assignment category as "K" for 100 quantity with a value of 1000.
GR non-valuated option is ticked in "Delivery" tab in line items.
When posted a GR for 25 NUmbers the Purchase Order History is updated with "0,00" in Amount column.
If this is because of GR Non-valuated option used then please let me know where the amount with correct value is stored in Database tables.
Note: I have use only GR Non-valuated option.
I want to know where the correct value of the stock received is stored.
    Regards,
    Nani.

    Hi
By assigning K you will have 3 things in default unless uou change them manually. 1.  Goods receipt , 2. GR Non-valuated, Invoice receipt.
When you do a GR then this account gets posted against the G/L you have assigned manually at PO or against the the acct. modifier VBR in OBYC, that is it is consumed directly. So you will not have any stock valuation like raw or other materials.
Now when you carry out Invoice verification you get the postings regularised against the acct assignment object(K) and the vendor outstanding/GR/IR account.
Once IV is done you can check the details of your posting.

  • How to copy characteristic values from Purchase Order to MIGO Goods Receipt

    Dear all,
    I have a configurable material X,
then i create a purchase order for that material and then i input characteristic value in the Purchase Order transaction and save it
However when i do the Goods Receipt transaction via MIGO and using the Purchase Order number that i have created, after i entry the batch number and want to check the classification, the characteristic value are blank, so it is not copied from the Purchase Order
    I've tried guide from
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/92/9b4a23a46411d6b28300508b5d5c51/content.htm
but i do not find the configuration for copying rule
Is there any one who can resolve this problem??
    Regards,
    Marufat

    Hi,
You define the copying rules for a movement type in Customizing for Batch Management under Batch Valuation ,  Valuation for Goods Movement in Inventory Management , Activate Batch Classification for Goods Movements in IM. Please refer below link. Thanking you.

  • PO Goods Receipt with Serial / Batch number with DI API

I am creating PO Goods Receipt with DI API. This works fine. But when i have items with serial numbers and batch numbers in the same PO, then i am getting either of the following errors:
    1. [OITM]Item has no serial number management
    2. [OIBT] Invalid Item Code.
I debugged the code and the values i set seems to be correct. I am using VB.Net and SAP 2004 with Patch 23.
    Thanks
    Anand

    Anand,
When you are working with a Serialized item in the first scenario, have you tested working with the item in the Business One application itself?  Have you tried to have the system assign a serial number for the item when issuing a Goods Receipt?  Do you get the same issue through the Business One interface.  With respect to working with Batches, have you setup the Batches for inventory items through the Business One interface yet?  If you have not setup Batches, this would be why you would not have any data in the OIBT table.
    HTH,
    Eddy
