Fading issue...

Hey all... I was just playing around with the spry framework
within a coldfusion app. I replaced some other ajax material with
spry and gave it a shot. It crashed so hard, I cannot even get the
debugger figured out. It seems to crash that too.
Perhaps someone could look over and tell me what I am hosing.
thanks.

Thanks for your follow up!!!!
The above code was actually was imbedded within a template
that I reuse throughtout a larger application.
What I did was simply things, and tested it directly, without
the wrapping template.
Nothing happens when I try this. I will send you the link
directly if you wish to play with.
When I test it this time, nothing happens. I will send you
the link
I greatly appreciate you looking at this. I am really excited
about this framework, I just hope I can figure out how to impliment
it.
I look forward to the day that html is expanded to make many
of these tasks simplier. Such as <img src="img.jpg"

  • HT1296 I require support to correct my wi-fi fading issue on my iPad

    Wi-fi bars are fading
Most of the time wi -fi is lost while working
I wanted to get this corrected before I go back to Srilanka

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • HH5 wifi speed fading issue - any resolution?

Having trawled the forum here, it does seem that there is a recurring techinical problem with wifi speeds slowing over a time period, or drop-outs, that require a re-boot to solve.
It is a wifi issue, not wired or line problems.
It still occurs having unsynced the 5 and 2.4Ghz and given them different SSIDs
    And Smart setup is off.
And automatic channel selection is off.
This does seem to be specific hardware issue with the HH5, and others before it.
Has anyone found a succesful route to either get it replaced or get it fixed?

I'm also a bit concerned that rebooting/reseting the modem may trigger some automatic speed reduction by BT, thinking it's a fault!  Wait, maybe that'll get their attention....!
no it won't - just result in a lower speed until the DLM sees line stable again and increases it which may be a few weeks

  • Nano 3rdG Screen Fading Issues

My Ipod was working fine until this very morning. I had it charged all night and I noticed when I woke up that the screen was slowly fading white. At times, I can read it slightly, but most of all it a pain just trying to read it. It fades in and out to a white screen. Does someone know what is wrong with this? It's fairly new. I'm wondering if the screen just isn't built to last with this.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

  • Centro fading speaker output level

I've had my AT&T Centro for about 6 weeks and I'm having a weird problem with the output sound level for all notifications (Ring Tones, Phone Alerts, Calendar, Messaging, and System).  When I got the Centro the output sound level was solid and loud.  I've found that over the course of about 2-3 weeks the output sound of the speaker on the back decreases (the settings in the Preferences menu do not change).  This gets to the point where I've tried putting, for example, the Ring Tone volume from 3 all the way up to 7 and I can still barely hear the phone in my pocket.  I've pull the battery and do a full reformat/reset of the Centro and when the phone loads back up the volume is plenty loud, just like it was when it was new.  I've had reset the phone twice now.
I love the versatility and functions of this device.  I hope this issue can be fixed! I synchronize regularly with Outlook, which I've had no problems with.
Any ideas of what the problem could be?
    Thanks!
    Post relates to: Centro (AT&T)

I enabled the "Escalate ring tone volume" option in the Sound & Alerts menu and the fading issue has seemed to go away completely.  The last time I reset my Centro was over a month ago.  Let's hope this positive trend continues.

  • What can I do about AirTunes fading in and out repeatedly?

I have a persistent problem when playing music via AirTunes. The primary symptom is that the music levels fades down to almost nothing and then fades back into regular volume.
I am using an iPad (original 3G) over airport express modem. I ave had this problem on two different networks in different houses.
On occasion the music stops altogether and must be restarted from iTunes but th fading issue is more prevelent.
The oney thing I can ink of is to restore the iPad. I'd rather not.
Any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions.

I'm having the same issue. Have you figured it out or received any replies?

  • Icons appears faded

all my icons on my ipad 3 appears faded

My guess too many active an open windows.  I would close out all open windows and then reboot.  To close out windows double click you home key.  All open windows will appear at bottom of screen.  Press and hold the icons until they wiggle.  By touching them again on the minus sign, they will deactivate the session.  This you will have to do one by one.  Complete until all icons are deactivated.  Go to home page and do a reboot. Depress home key and power key until apple logo appears.  Continue to hold until it forces a shut down.  Then power back up. Hopefully, your fading issue will have disappeared.

  • Bullets and Transparent text boxes

    hello,
I've checked out the postings already for this issue and
appreciate Ricks tip on fixing the font blur issue. However, I have
another bug with bullets in transparent text boxes.
Upon preview or publish of a project, I see a ghost color (a
little lighter) of my background color which is light blue . So,
basically the text box is no longer transparent and looks really
    bad.
    Any ideas,
    Lisa

    Hi Rick,
Let me describe what is happening a little more clearly. Here
is the basics so maybe you can reproduce it. I belive I did come up
    with a fix for myself.
    1) Add a background image to the slide that is merged not an
    overlay image
    - My image is a png file imported into the library and added
to every slide. It has a solid light blue background with a dark
blue strip on top and a brand from the client at the top left (very
    basic)
    2) Add a transparent text box caption
    3) Add text that includes bullet points
Result: When you put a text caption with bullets over a slide
background that is an image(even solid color) you get a ghost that
oulines the text caption dimensions. If the text caption doesn't
have bullets, the ghost outline doesn't appear, but the text is
blurry. Obviously the text can be fixed by highlighting on
    character in #C0C0C0.
My temporary fix: Because the ghost ouline seems to appear
when a text caption with bullets is on top of a background image, I
modifed my background image so that the light blue part (this is
the area when all the content will be) is actually transparent and
no longer a color. I then set color for all slides backgrounds to
be the light blue that was origninally in my image. This seems to
work, but there are some color fading issues that I need to explore
    and work out more.
Thanks much and look forward to pushing the boundaries of
Captivate once I my head around it more.
P.S If I have a background image on each screen (branding and
consistent purposes), when I set up a simulation, do I have to
merge each screen shot into the background or can the screen shots
created by Captivate just overlay my background image.
    Lisa

  • My iPod mini's display is blank

I KNOW that the contrast is as high as it goes, but the display is totally blank. If I keep pushing the buttons I can make it play, but can't read anything. Just this morning when I plugged it into the computer, the battery thing came on very strong, but then it faded and again I can't see anything. Everything else seems to be working well, but like I said I can only do things by trial and error for not being able to see what I'm doing.
    HELPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also having this problem. My Ipod 4g mini was brand new out of the box. I hooked it up to my ibook G4 10.3.9. Transferred songs to it from ITunes and then waited for the battery to fully charge for a few hours. I came back. Dismounted the Ipod, unplugged it from the USB and the screen was fine. But while I was scrolling through songs the screen began to get very faint. I went into the contrast and turned it up thinking it might be an 'available light' issue. It seemed better. I put the Ipod down to answer the phone and when I came back the screen was gone. No next, no pixels. No nothing. The backlight still worked, but there was still no text.
Now the weird things is that the music still played and the click wheel still clicked but I just couldn't read what was on the screen.
Being a long time Mac user (back to the SE), I fushed it out, restored it, reset it, tested my connections. Updated Itunes and the Software update etc. Nothing worked. Still no screen display.
(SKIP DOWN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR ME RANT)
So I took it back to the store I bought it from and was politely told that because I had opened it, they couldn't take it back. They directed me to the local Apple Store here. I took it there and was told they'd never heard of that problem before and then directed me to call the 1-800 Apple support line. I did that and after waiting on hold for 40 minutes (!!), they suggested I restore, and fiddle with contrast etc etc. After telling them I'd done all they, they said they'd never heard of this problem before. And told me to fill out a form to get it sent in to be fixed. Not to mention I bought it for a trip I'm taking and now won't be able to take it.
    (END OF RANT)
Now, Apple said they hadn't heard of this problem before. But clearly, I am not alone in this. I have searched the discussions and found a few more instances where people have had the same exact problem.
We have to let apple know there's some sort of defect on these so other people don't get duped into buyin' them.
Oh, and by the way, if anyone has a solution to this screen fading issue. That'd be great. Thanks.
I mean BESIDES the all-encompassing "Try resetting it."
Also, I've read in this forum that a woman had the same problem, sent it back to apple, got it back and the same thing happened again. What gives?

  • Exporting Movie: Aspect Ratio

I've been editing a music video that was shot on the HVX camera. It was shot at 720p. I started my project as a 720p project and imported all the footage (MXF files) into bins and edited my video. I go to export it and it exports to an AVI in an aspect ratio that is NOT 960x720! I checked the export settings and they are as follows:
    File Type: MS AVI
    Compressor: None
    Color Depth: Million+
    Frame Size: 960h 720v (16:9)
    Frame rate: 23.976
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)
When I edit the video in premier it is the correct aspect ratio. I click on a clip in the time line and it says "Video: 23.976 fps, 960x720 (1.333)" so what am I doing wrong here?

The strangeness continues. I played the file in BS player and SOME of the fades worked. NONE of the fades in/out to black, but I may be able to work around that issue. I have it set up where it fades in and out to a blank space on the timeline. If I insert a black video slug the fades might work. I say this because when fading with other video (I have a couple crossfades in the video) they work just fine!
When I play the rendered video in CS3 the fades work. Why? I don't know.
Project settings as follows (General Tab):
    Editing Mode: P2 720P 60Hz DVCPROHD
    Timebase: 23.976 fps
    Frame Size: 960 h 720 v
Pixel Aspect Ratio: HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)
    Fields: None
    Display format: 24fps
    Video Tab:
    File Format: DVCpro 100 720p 60Hz
    Compressor: Same as above
    Color Depth: Million+
I'm still getting the letterboxing problem too, when I use square pixels.
EDIT: My workaround for my fading issue did not work. I have no clue why. So for some reason TWO fades work in this project, but none of the others. The two that work are a fade in and out on a set of titles on vid track 2 and a cross-fade in between two tracking shots in the middle of the project. The fades that do not work are at the beginning and end I have a series of quick fades in and out, in typical music video fashion, that do not work at all. Except when played back in CS3, but I need them to work in other media players too!
Thanks for all the help so far :)
    EDIT #2:
Now even when I have the project rendering in HD Anamorphic pixels I get the same problem with the fading! It used to work when I'd render in 4:3. But now it doesn't. ARGH.

  • About 9 minutes in, the picture "fades" like it going to sleep.  It keeps playing but too dark to watch.  If I stop and hit play again, it fixes it but goes dark about every 4 min

I have difficulty watching an iTunes purchased movie - I believe just HD movies as this issue doesn't seem to happen anywhere else within my Apple TV products.   For example, I purchased a movie last night.   At about 9 minutes in the picture "faded" - so dark I couldn't see it.   The audio is fine and the movie is playing but a dark, dark picture.   It's like it is going to sleep.   I can reset by stopping the movie and hitting play again BUT about every 4-9 minutes, the fading issue happens.   Not a fun way to watch a movie!
The support here doesn't seem to have an answer.   Anyone?

No, sounds like when you dropped it an cracked the screen it may have also damaged the logic board or the repair person damaged a cable.

  • Screen has become dim

My much loved iBook G4 is fading - literally. Works well but the display is loosing brightness and really is on the verge of not being fun to use. Surprisingly I didn't find this question searching the forum. Any ideas - I expect to take it to an Apple store, just curious if someone has a fix or had the problem.

If the panel is fading to dim and won't sustain a brightness
level after trying the suggested items, you may consider
inquiring of a suitable product specialist in your region as
to the cost of having the suspect parts replaced in the Book.
The panel or supporting circuitry can wear out, especially if,
as noted, the brightness is left on a high setting; this can be
one of the ways an LCD panel may be shorter lived. In my
LCD Macs the brightness is set at about 1/4 or less, up from
the lowest. When working with a text screen, background in
white, there is no need to burn your retinas.
If the computer does indicate the need for some kind of a
service to correct the fading issue, you may also note the
age of the computer would also suggest it may be time to
have the original hard disk drive replaced; and other wear
items as they are getting on in years. Batteries, hard drives,
sometimes power adapters, and so on.
A suggested service provider to inquire into the matter of
internal repair and replacement in your region, that I have
found good reports on and had good service with, is in
South Carolina; they have a web page: wegenermedia.com.
And they could work with you on restoring the computer; &
their site also lists other models, already reconditioned.
    In any event...
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Typewriter tool - text color after entry fades from color selected?

I have followed all the other directions for preferences, properties and have sucessfully set those however - after entering any text in any color - say red. or black after the enter button is pressed and i've moved anywhere else in the document - the text color is displays and prints in a faded version. How can this be corrected?

I am also having the same issue with Acrobat X Standard.  When I use the typewriter tool in any new or existing PDF and add text in any color or font face when I mouse out to any part of the document the added text fades as if the opacity was being lowered so it's much lighter color than it should be.
I am using:  Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and have local admin rights.
I've checked the Perferences > General section to ensure I am only using certified Adobe Plugins and forced Acrobat to rewrite the folder in  " %appdata%\Adobe\Acrobat\10.0\ " without any resolution.  The new 10.0 folder does not contain the Perferences folder inside either.
I went a step further and renamed all the Acrobat folders in my user profile in Local, LocalLow, and Roaming then ran Repair for Acrobat X Standard, rebooted computer, then open Acrobat back up with the same text fading issue when using the typewriter tool.
I created another new user with local admin rights but the typewriter tool does not fade the text there at all when loses focus.   Short of transfering to that new profile anyone have any other ideas to resolve this issue?

  • Embedded Movie Aspect Ratio

I'm rendering DV video (720x480x.909 pixel AR) to Quick Time 7 and embedding in ID CS3 targeting PDF files. When rendered to .909 AR QT, the normal QT display (via PDF) displays correctly with correct AR. Depending upon my render settings, I've sometimes seen an active "maximize" command when right clicking the title bar of the QT player. When it can be selected, the maximized display AR is grossly distorted. Is the maximize function supposed to be available and scale properly?

ARGH.
