FCC - Complex target hierarchy
Hi There,
I was implementing a scenario where I need to create multiple IDocs from one file (which I plan to do with IDoc bundling). But I came accros a 'issue':
I have a flat file like this
header
x items
trailer
Nothing special so far, but because the rows of the items contain more than one data group (fields for general data/sales data/.. I see as different groups), I created substructures for this groups in the item structure.. Now I found out that you cannot specify such 'deep' hierarchies in the standard file content conversion parameters!? I know I can use other conversion methods or I can simply put all fields in the same structure, but is there no way to do this with file content conversion?
So the target file should look like this:
<MT_MESSAGE>

some header fields

<GENERAL_DATA>
some general data fields
</GENERAL_DATA>
<SALES_DATA>
some sales data fields
</SALES_DATA>

<GENERAL_DATA>
some general data fields
</GENERAL_DATA>
<SALES_DATA>
some sales data fields
</SALES_DATA>

<TRAILER>
</TRAILER>
</MT_MESSAGE>
Thanks a lot in advance!
Regards,
Sven
Thanks a lot for your helpful replies, but in my case I need to do it for a sender adapter (File-to-IDoc-scenario).
Example of source file (limited number of fields, but to get the idea):
TH;20080506;163900
TD;Sven;Janssens;SO01;Belgium
TD;Jan;Svenssens;SO02;Denmark
TT;4
With TH being the header, TD the items and TT the trailer records.
And this I would like to convert into the following structure:

<DATE>20080506</DATE>
163900

<GENERAL_DATA>
<FIRST_NAME>Sven</FIRST_NAME>
<LAST_NAME>Janssens</LAST_NAME>
</GENERAL_DATA>
<SALES_DATA>
<SALES_ORG>SO01</SALES_ORG>
<COUNTRY>Belgium</COUNTRY>
</SALES_DATA>

<GENERAL_DATA>
<FIRST_NAME>Jan</FIRST_NAME>
<LAST_NAME>Svenssens</LAST_NAME>
</GENERAL_DATA>
<SALES_DATA>
<SALES_ORG>SO02</SALES_ORG>
<COUNTRY>Denmark</COUNTRY>
</SALES_DATA>

Thanks a lot in advance!

Unable to configure file adapter using FCC for Multilevel hierarchy
Hi Experts,
Can anyone help me in configuring the Receiver file adapter with FCC for the structure given below
<Root>
<Level1>
<Ele1>
<Ele2>
<Level2>
<Ele2_1>
<Ele2_2>
<Level2a>
<Ele2a_1>
<Ele2a_2>
</Level2a>
</Level2>
</Level1>Hi dineshmale,
I have do this Multilevel hierarchy before. FCC can directly configure this scenario. But I don't know you output format. What my format shown below(here i use '#' instead of space):
Level1_Field1##Level1_Field2##Level1_Field3##Level2_Field1##Level2_Field2##Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#################################################################Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#######################################Level2_Field1##Level2_Field2##Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#################################################################Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
Level1_Field1##Level1_Field2##Level1_Field3##Level2_Field1##Level2_Field2##Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#################################################################Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#######################################Level2_Field1##Level2_Field2##Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#################################################################Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
#################################################################Level3_Field1##Level1_Field2
FCC Parameter:
Recordset Structure: Level1,Level2,Level3
Level1.fieldSeparator = (2 spaces)
Level2.beginSeparator = (some spaces according to the length of the fields in Level1)
Level2.fieldSeparator = (2 spaces)
Level3.beginSeparator = (some spaces according to the length of the fields in Level1and Level2)
Level3.fieldSeparator = (2 spaces)
Level3.endSeparator = \n
There are some points:
1. the endSeparator for Level1 and Level2 doesn't work.
2. the first begin separator in Level2 and Level3 doesn't work.
3. The last field of super node and the first field of child node is separated by the (child).fieldSeparator.
4. ....
What's more, I have write a blog of FCC For Hierarchical Structure in Receiver Channel just now. So it need two days for Approval. Let me know for any issues.

Hi All,
We are trying to build a complex item hierarchy that
spans multiple intersection tables.
Example: A -> AB <- B -> BD <- D... The intersection
tables contain no items per se but only id codes. We
want to get the items at A, B and D but there are no
direct joins to these tables. Do we need to build a
custom folder to make these joins for us and bring
in the hierarchy from one folder? Is there another
or easier way?
Thanks,
-GusHi Gus
Complex folders would work as would SQL Views. Personally I would use a SQL view as you have the ability to a) use it in other applications, and b) have the ability to use SQL tools to optimize the code.
Hope this helps

Transferring Data from Hierarchy
Hi Experts,
We have a complex bespoke hierarchy in system, consisting of several/different levels of granularity. Hierarchy looks like as follows:
- Root
-- Level 1.1
----Level 1.1.1
------Level 1.1.1.1
Leaf 1
Leaf 2
------Level 1.1.1.2
Leaf 1
Leaf 2
----Level 1.1.2
Leaf 1
Leaf 2
Leaf 3
----Level 1.1.3
Leaf 1
-- Level 1.2
Leaf 1
Data is posted on Leaf level so that in queries it can be obtained at any level in reports.
Im working on transformation routines to transfer data from one cube to another. In the target cube I need consolidated figures at levels which are highlighted as bold in above example. And I would do this consolidation in the start routine. The idea for solution is to use the same method as standard BI system uses to club/consolidate values posted at most granular level of hierarchy.
Does anybody know the name of function module/program used by standard BI system to do the task? Or is there any better idea to do the task?
Your urgent help would be highly appreciated.
Regards,
ShabbarIf you were still using Mountain Lion back to Snow Leopard, I would recommend Mark Space's Missing Sync for Palm application. It does not support Mavericks, and there is a question whether they support devices as old as the Pilot. Here are the System Requirements.
Otherwise, I think you are out of luck, unless someone else offers another solution. -
What went wrong in hierarchy loading?
Hello guys,
I am trying to load hierarchies from flatfiles to MD target in DEV.After loading,I checked some nodes and they donot match with nodes that we have in source flatfile....I checked in PROD ....they have same problem...
1.Isn't it wrong loading when nodes in MD Hierarchies(in DEV and PROD) donot match with nodes in flatfiles from where they are loaded?
2.What might be the error that these hierarchy mismatch happens like this between source(flatfiles) and MD target hierarchy in BW?
Thanks.
P Olin.Please check in the transfer rules if the assignment is done correctly .

Importing Master Data Hierarchy from BW Infobject
I am importing from top level node(text hierarchy) of BW infobject Account. All the records are rejected with the following error. It says that Hierarchy nodes include dimension members that do not exist. The reason for this is that it is top level text hierarchy defined by users. I can import the base level one by one. Error while creating hierarchy through " Create Hierarchy field" option
Hi All,
while trying to create hierarchy through Create Hierarchy field option i am facing the following error
I am giving the following inputs
Hierarchy field name : XYZ
Parent field : Level1
Child Field : Level2
Node name field : Level3
Cannot find the parent ID value "abc" in Field ID Level2 of Table " Hierarchy"
FYI
The source hierarchy is in Columns format with Level1(Parent)---->Lever2(Child of Level1) and Level3(Child of level2)
Kindly guide me where i am going wrong
Thanks in Advance
Regards
SharmaHi Sharma,
Your input file should have 3 columns for hierarchy one which will store level 1 information,2nd will have corresponding level 2 information and 3rd will have corresponding level 3 info.
Now in Import Manager go to Partition,select 1st ,2nd and 3rd column.Donot combine the fields. Now map the partition fields with the target hierarchy field.Perform the value mapping and import.
Or
YOu can have one column in the excel file.with values L1>L2>L3(split by some delimiter).
In import manager go to source hierechy pany select the Column and from context menu select option split into hierechy as per the delimiter.
Now map the parttion field and target field ,do value mapping and import.

Setting camera target and using the pan tool moves everything except target
Hi,
I have a JavaScript which sets the camera target using the code below.
var setTarget = function(strNodeName) {
for (var intCounter = 0; intCounter !== scene.nodes.count; intCounter++) {
var node = scene.nodes.getByIndex(intCounter);
if (node.name.indexOf(strNodeName) === 0) {
var camera = scene.cameras.getByIndex(0);
camera.target = node;
This works great for the rotate and spin tool. But hen I use the pan tool, everything moves except the node that was set as target.
Why is this happening and how can I prevent this?James, thank you very much for the VI, now i understand what you meant by initialising the shift registers. You're right about my text-based programming background, and seeing how you've implemented the case selection really helped. The removal of the mathscript modules does reduce lag quite a lot, too, and now everytihng works exactly as it should. I set the initial servo positions and rawx/rawy values, extended the error line the way you suggested, and added a division by two after the array summation, in order to get an average, rather than a near-double result.
I agree with you and 22v10 that slicing the image up into quadrants might have been a better idea to begin with. The 'center band' that is set in the current vi works quite well and i'll stick with it for now, since i won't have much more time to work on this project.
I avoided adding tilt for now because i thought it would only complicate things. Now that panning works, i've duplicated the method and adjusted it for tilt.
I'm also considering removing the Vision Assistant nodes, since for calibration purposes i need to go into it and create new templates from scratch every time, and this will only get more tedious as i start experimenting with more complex 'targets'. A more viable solution is presented here, where everything is set once the application is launched.
Please find attached an updated copy of the VI. It's a bit laggy, i'll continue working on it and updating.
James, thank you again for providing a working solution. I'd love to give you credit when the project's finished.

Source hierarchy AAA is at 2012 R2 CU3 and contains a primary site and 14 secondary sites (A01 through A14). The 14 secondary site servers hold the following roles:
Site system
Management Point
State migration point
Site server
Site database server
Component server
Distribution Point
Target hierarchy BBB is also at 2012 R2 CU3 and contains only a primary site. The goal is to "downgrade" the severs at source secondary sites A01 through A14 to distribution points.
AAA was added as a source site. Data gathering was done. A migration job was created an run, and distribution points from the source hierarchy were shared to allow a phased migration of the clients.
We have reach the point where we are ready to reassign distribution points in sites A01 through A14 from AAA to BBB, but none of the shared distribution points are eligible for reassignment. We surmise that since the DP role is not the only role on
these servers (as you can see from the bullet list above), they are ineligible for reassignment. We are unable to remove most of the roles. In fact, the only 2 roles that can be removed are the DP role itself, and the State Migration
Point. If we delete the secondary site, it removes ALL roles...not leaving any behind...including the one we need...DP.
My question is 2-part:
Is our assumption correct? Must a DP role be the only one on the server for a DP to be eligible for reassignment?
Is there any way we can reassign these DPs instead of deleting everything and building them from scratch?
These secondary site servers are in branch offices and host a lot of distributed packages. It would be very inconvenient to have to rebuild the DPs from scratch and redistribute all those packages over the WAN.Full Disclosure: I have never used this tool myself. I intend to, however the opportunity or time to do so has not yet arisen.
You could use the techniques outlined in CloneDP (https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/scriptcenter/CloneDP-for-SCCM-2012-SP1-825ce5b1) to create prestage media on each DP and rebuild. That at least would prevent redistributing over the WAN
Ken provides a nice writeup too: http://blogs.technet.com/b/kensmith/archive/2013/08/01/migrating-the-content-library-between-distribution-points-in-sccm-2012-sp1.aspx -

Mapping problem: IDOC - XI - File
Hi,
in my scenario (Z-IDOC - XI - File) I have problems with the mapping:
Z-IDOC :
ZFIBUCH1
_IDOC
___Begin
___EDI_DC40
___Z1L061 (0..999999999)
_____Z1L062 (0..999999999)
example
L061 18000 DE 0101 23236318 050605 EUR
__L062 18000 XXX XXX
__L062 18000 XX1 CCC3
L061 87000 DE 0101 050605 EUR
__L062 87000 XXX XXX
__L062 87000 XX1 XAA4
the result should look like this :
L061 18000 DE 0101 23236318 050605 EUR
L062 18000 XXX XXX
L062 18000 XX1 CCC3
L061 87000 DE 0101 050605 EUR
L062 87000 XXX XXX
L062 87000 XX1 XAA4
I tried the following (target)-data types in the mapping but nothing didnt work very well :
MT_ZIFUCH_FILE
__ row
_____L061
_______L062
or
MT_ZIFUCH_FILE
__ row
_____L061
_____L062
or
MT_ZIFUCH_FILE
_____L061
_____L062
Do I need here a BPM? Or should I use XSLT-Mapping??
Or knows somebody a easyer way?
Regards
ChristophHi,
As per my understanding to have a flat file struture you would require a flat structure at the target side.One similar to the second structure mentioned by you.
DT_Target
|_Header
|______L61.....segment (child of header)
|______L62.....segment (child of header)
Using the mapping we convert the idoc structure to flat structure and then use content conversion like this :
Recordset structure : L61,L62
L61.fieldSeparator = ,(for you this value should be space)
L62.fieldSeparator = ,
I have not been able to convert the Target hierarchial structure to a flat file via content conversion.
when i tried I got the values as
L61,1800,...EUR,L62,8700,......
Hope this helps,

Macbook Pro won't boot with external HDD plugged
I have a weird problem. My late 2008 Macbook Pro won't start with external HDD plugged either FW or USB... The screen stays white until I unplug it and then the Apple logo is there.
Anyone know any solution for this? Or anyone have the same problemyeah I had the exact same issue with one of my 750GB externals too. I just left it for a while (about an hour or so) and it was fine..
I believe its so slow because the system is indexing the drive, which can be a very slow process if the drive is big, has a complex folder-hierarchy, and/or is fragmented.
Does the hard-drive appear quite quickly in Finder once OS X has started up? if its slow it may confirm what I've just said. -
Problem in mapping from import manager to Data manager
hi friend's....I got a problem while mapping the data from import manager to Data manager .The problem is the data in import manager (i.e source hierarchy) will map to single filed in data manager ( i.e target hierarchy)..
Help me it will be great full to me

YugandharHi Ana,
If you have a hierarchy in this format:
N1 N2 N3
A A1 A11
A A2 A21
A A3 A31
B B1 B11
Then u have to follow these steps for import.
1. Select source file and destination hierarchy table at top of import manager.
2. Go to Partitions tab (Second tab) Just above the tabs, if u click on the plus sign against your source file, you will see N1, N2 and N3. Cick on N1 and in partition tab, add N2 to right side by double clicking on N2.
3. Now add N3 to right side by double clicking on it.
4. Go to field mapping (Third tab). There you will see a field N1(Partition). Map this field to yourhierarchy field on destination side.
5. In value mapping (Below the field mapping), Expand your source hierarchy. Select all (ctrl + A). Click on "Add" button. Select "Add Branch as child" option.
6. Go to Matching tab (Fourth tab). only one field will be there. take ity on the right side. and select the import action as "Create".
7. Go to last tab. Click on import button.
Your hierarchy has been imported. You can check it in data manager (in hierarchy mode).
Hope this solves your problem.
Regards,
Dheeraj.
