Field / Column for Minus/Plus sign in Query

Hello
In Query Designer I would like to create a column that shows the sign '+' or '-' when a key figure KF1 is below 0 or above. How do I do this? It has to be a separate column. I already created a calculated key figure KF2 that has as formula ABS (KF1). KF1 itself must not be shown as contains amount and sign in one field. I need to separate these 2.

Hi Arjan,
If you want to display custom images (In this case + / - )
First you have to create an Image for Plus or Minus symbol and save it with .gif format in the MIME Repository.
Transaction SE80, Select MIME Repository.
SAP->BW->Customer->Images.
Upload the Images in this folder.
Create an exception in Query Designer.
If KF2 is <= 0, then Red (Bad 1), else Green (Good 1). Save the query.
Open Web Application Designer; Assign the query with the exception defined to the Analysis Web Item.
Select the Analysis Web Item -> Web Item Parameters tab -> Internal Display
Select Modification -> Single Module
Select Type as Generic Module
After selecting Generic module, you have to provide the implementation name.
Implementation Name should be com.sap.ip.bi.rig.ExceptionImage
Click on the button next to Parameter below it.
Here you will find the field, Name/Expression.
Give Parameter Name/Expression as ALERT_X, where X is the Alert number of the Exception defined in the Query. The mapping is as given below.
ALERT_1 equates to Good 1
ALERT_2 equates to Good 2
ALERT_3 equates to Good 3
ALERT_4 equates to Critical 1
ALERT_5 equates to Critical 2
ALERT_6 equates to Critical 3
ALERT_7 equates to Bad 1
ALERT_8 equates to Bad 2
ALERT_9 equates to Bad 3
Here you have to give ALERT_1 (Since you have defined Good 1 for Green in the report).
Select IMAGE from the dropdown box for the field u2018VALUEu2019.
Select the Image stored in the MIME Repository.
Similarly define the other Alert - ALERT_7 (Since you have defined Bad1 for Red) and select the corresponding Image from the MIME Repository.
The Exception Visualization drop down in Cell Content Area of the Analysis Web Item should be set to display Symbols.
This works only from BI 7.0 onwards.

  • Plus signs displaying in calculated field

    I have created a form with a table that has a row that calculates automatically. I then created another form that I copied and pasted the table into. In the second form, when my users display or print the form with Adobe 7.0 Standard, the calculating field now displays a plus sign when nothing is entered to calculate. How do I make the plus sign disappear?

    Actually, that was my first instinct as well, but it is not the issue. No matter how large I make the fields, no matter where I put them (IE not touching any other fields) - the plus signs still display. The really frustrating thing is that they won't display for me, just for other users. I have Adobe 7.0 Pro and we have just updated our users with Adobe 7.0 Standard. The plus signs do not display for me, but they do for the other users. To make the problem even less consistent, I had the exact same table in another form and in that form the users have used that table without any issues. I merely copied and pasted the table into the new form. I can't see any settings that have been changed. Any ideas?? Even a work around would be great.

  • Query problem: Some fields missing for org unit

    I'm currently trying to fix a Minimum Compliance Report with some missing fields.
    For a specific organisational unit no data is being generated for distribution and logistics.
    How can i make sure organisational units generate a compliance figure correctly. The formula in the query is fine however when i generate the report there are X's in some fields.
    How can i find the error?

    Hi Neil,
    Have you tried using the function NDIV0 or NOERR in your formulas? The X in some of the fields may be due to undefined values (e.g. division by zero).

      I have to split a Text Description (TXTMD) into 3 columns for reporting.
      This description is available in R/3 table and in BW InfoObject.
      What is the best way to accomplish this task ?
      Should I enhance the Extract structure and fill those 3 new ZZ fields on R/3?
      Should I do it on BW side ? How, please ???

    If the purpose of splitting is to overcome the limitation of Infoobject, I would recommend doing that in BW side for a couple reasons: You don't need worry about having R/3 transport and also if you are working on LO extractors you don't need to worry about setup tables. Secondly, it is easy to manage the fields in BW side than R/3, because you will be sending fewer fields.

  • How to add get the field name for a newly added site column.

    I have the following:-
    Enterprise wiki site collection inside SharePoint server 2013.
    I added a new site column of type managed metadata.
    I opened the enterprisewiki.aspx page layout using the SP designer, to add the newly added site column to it.
    But I have noted that to add any site column I need to know the field name , for example the default wiki category column is referenced inside the page layout as follow:-

    After all R&D it is been found that Oracle business administrator( RPD) needs default dbo schema. It doesn't accept custom schema for pulling data.

    when you are defining low and high value, u have to use
    l_t_range-option  = 'BT'.

  • Plus sign not working anymore for distribution group

    Without our Outlook client it was possible to make a New E-mail, enter a part of the distribution group, pressing control-k to force lookup the group and it was resolved. With the plus sign you can expand the requested ditribution group. Now this is not

    What does "Now this is not working anymore" mean? Does it mean you didn't get the Expand List warning or it didn't expand the distribution group when clicking plus sign?
    Does this issue happen to all users and all distribution groups?
    If you mean you didn't the Expand List warning, we can try this to get it back:
    Open your Registry Editor and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\xx.0\Outlook\Options\General (where xx is the version of your Office.)
    Look for and open the PONT_STRING value, you'll see a list of numbers in the Value box. Remove number
    13 from the list and test again.
    If you mean that clicking the plus sign didn't expand the group, we may try to open Outlook in safe mode and test again. To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type
    outlook /safe and press Enter.

    In the Generate Table Maintenance Dialog screen, go to Environment->Modification->Maintenance Screens via the menubar. Then go to the screen layout by clicking the Layout button.
    Now double click on the column name where you have the '+' sign and type over your required label. Save and activate. Now run this via SM30 you should see the correct label.
