Field for expenses

Hello,
I have still another question, sorry
I need a field for expenses. With this I mean that the employee is able to entry if this recorded time is valid for expenses or not.
Do I have a user definded field and if yes how to implement it?

Hello and thanks for the reply. The point is that I don't know if I have to use a used defined field or if I could use other fields like the Att/Abs. field. So thanks for the tip with the Att/Abs. I will have a deeper look to this.

    Thanks for the reply.....But, this is not the problem after i entered the GL . Before giving any GL, on just opened screen, iam not able to see the assignment field at all .......is there any variant needs to be select for that.
    As you said for checking the FSG...but that is only for the particular GL which you have entered...but before entering the GL iam not able to see the field...
    Hope you got clear about the probelm.....
    (in Menu...options...screen variant is there but it is so confusing )

    We are using field BUS_REASON "Business Partners", We changed label for data element but is not showed in TRIP transaction we can see it in PR05 transaction.
    How can I change labels for TRIP transacction?

    Generally speaking in any organisation it is common to pay certain amount to Employees to meet particular expenses like printing and stationary, or any thing (either in advance or without using the word advance for expenses)...
    here also i am facing the same. My client paying money without "generating Payment request" - he pay directly to the employee, then entry will be ...
    Printing & Stationary Account -- Debit
    Cash Account -- Credit
    But here no Employee name is coming in to picture. So at the end of the month, we have no information to track how much money is given to "X - employee" to meet Printing & Stationary Exp. Is there any possibility to track these in Cash Journal?
    You may say, Create Employee Vendor... even see the entry here no employee name is generating at the time of transaction, since no payment request is generating.

    Expnses A/c
    Vendor payment
    Customer Receipt
    Cash withdraw from bank
    in case of expesnes , exp account created like postage,printing, telephone etc.
    same in otehr case
    so when u post the expneses to vendor
    then in fbcj
    in business transaction field select Priniting & stationary
    then amount suppose 5000
    then recept name - suppose vendor name
    thenin text field - enter narration
    then in vendor - select vendor
    and if cost center is manadatory then selct cost center
    after this u save or post the document
    Note : when u save entry not show,it show ywellow icon
    but when u post it show green
    then docuble clcik on transaction
    u see the entry
    Printing & Statiory dr
    Vendor cr
    and when u pay the vendor
    then selct in bysiness transaction vendor payment
    then enter amount
    receipt name , text
    and then selct vendor
    then u post
    after this entry generated
    Vendor a/c dr
    to cash Cr

  • How does one create LOV Map between 2 fields for custom lookup mapping

    In Internet Expenses, Expense Report Line Detail we have two unrelated fields; namely Expense Location & Tax Code.
    The requirement is to map a default tax code to locations; basically when a user enters Expense Location then the mapped tax code value should default into field Tax Code.
    The location-tax code mapping is stored in a custom lookup (FND_LOOKUP_VALUES).
    My question is how does one go about implementing this?  For example is it possbile to create a new (hidden) LOV based on the lookup mapping & then create a Personalization LOV Mapping between the 3 LOV...  Or is it necessary to modify the Tax Code drop down Message Choice in JDeveloper?  Of course details are appreciated!
    FYI below is the relevant Personalization Structure from "Personalize Stack Layout: (NormalDetails)".

    Hello all
    The correct & supported method is this:
    Extend the location LOV in JDeveloper & add a "default tax" attribute, this could be derived from a new location DFF storing the default tax code for each location. Now simply create a location Personalization LOV Map which takes this new location lov tax attribute & target it to the tax message choice field.
    That's my 2c worth anyway, so please give comment if you feel there is a better way.
    There is just one more little problem however... The requirement has changed! Now we require the tax code to default according to not one location field, but other fields too. For example if the user selects Expense Type of Beverage & Location of Netherlands then Tax Code should be NL19%, for Expense Type of Hotel then it should be NL6%; if the user ticks "Missing Receipt" field then it should over ride all others & set the code to NL0%.
    Any ideas?

    Since your question and concern is the cost of the software, the software was never free and has always been expensive.  If the software came with your computer the software cost was included with it.

  • Vendor for expenses default GL and purchase GL

    I setup default GL for expense type vendor that should use AP control account like 22000 with expense GL code while purchase vendor will use AP control account like 21000 (post item receipt will debit to inventory and credit to PO clearing).  
    When I added new vendor that set control account to 22000 and can not change to 21000, why caused this issue?  Even the Vendor group setup has Purchase Vendor, Expense Vendor, Secondary Vendor,,,etc.
    How to force user to setup Expense Vendor with proper GL account in case user forgot to choose any GL code for new expense vendor?

    By validating that field in the BP master every time when you add new vendor the system will gives you alert about the changing/rectifying the account code.
    This you can do it with the SDK when slect perticular group of the vendor then select that perticular account

    Thx for your answer. But I am searching for a field in order to handle the expenses and so on. For this I hoped to have overseen a field for this and now I am wondering if I really have to use a user defined field to handle this because I think that it is "normal" to have different locations like home office and so on that have to be handled related to expenses, ...

    Hi,
    If you have document splitting active, where profit center is mandatory, do not make profit center mandatory at the field status group level as this will not allow the documents to split where there are more than one profit center in a document.
    The bank line item gets automatically split in the ratio of liability or Assets line items profit center. And if you make Profit center mandatory in Bank line item then this splitting will not take place. Moreover you will not be able to post any document having more than one profit center.
    You can test this out all by yourself in a test system. Post an Invoice(FB60) as foolows:-
    Expense -Dr.(P.C.-A)- 100
    Expense -Dr.(P.C.-B)-200
       To vendor - 300
    This entry will show in general ledger view as :-
    Expense -Dr.(P.C.-A) - 100
    Expense -Dr.(P.C.-B) - 200
       To vendor .(P.C.-A) - 100
       To vendor .(P.C.-B) - 100
    Now go to F-53 and post payment:-
    Enter Bank Account no., amount, and also enter profit center on the first screen as u hv made P.C. mandatory, and select the above document no. and try posting it. You will get error in this case.

    If I understand your question correctly, you want to modify the FSG of recociliation account of Vendor/Customer to make sure Cost Center/WBS field display in transaction F-22/F-43 for example, right?
    I am not sure whether it is possible, I also tried in ECC6.0 but failed to show these two fields. And I think that doesn't make sense to assign CO object to AP/AR reconciliation account, but assign it to Revenue/Expense account in following line items.
    And You can use New General Ledger functionality Document Splitting to derive corresponding CO object information to Reconciliation Account line item, but it is enabled only in General Ledger level, not in subledger level.
    If you find any other meaningful solution, please also share with us.

    Good news. I've found support note 552107.1 (How To Enable E-Business tax Functionality In Iprocurement Release 12) where support explains how to show tax parameters field in iProc requisition.
    But anyway like in PO in R12 You will be able only to select tax codes etc, but not the final Tax values. Because now eTax calculates it.

  • Trip activity type permissibility for Expense part

    Dear Experts,
    I would like to use trip activity type permissibility, grouping concepts etc. - as it is possible for Travel Planning - for Expenses in order to be able to differentiate the trip activities as per comany code. All company codes however, are using only one, same trip provision variant and one trip schema - 01.
    Once I´ve mantained the groups and permissibility in Planning part, I have now two fields for Trip actiivty type on the Request screen. I would like to use only one, with permissibility possible. But the client is using only one trip schema, 01. TRV Planning is not being used.
    Is there any way to do it?

    Hi Emilia,
    I don't understand the problem. There are are three parameters below a schema of a trip provision variant to further distinguish customizing specifications and the overall process flow of FI-TV, these are (trying to loosely translate from German, might not be the exact English wording) KZREA (trip type by law) , BEREI (trip type by company) and KZTKT (trip activity type). Then, additionally, from the planning component, there's PLAN_ACTIVITY_TYPE (trip activity type only relevant for the planning module, has no function for the rest of FI-TV whatsoever).
    I'm not really sure what confuses you, but if you do NOT use FI-TV-PL, then you can just disable PLAN_ACTIVITY_TYPE in FITVFELD_WEB and all is good.

    Differential pay for employees. they create a daily log of their shift schedule and if i summarize this in pivot the value in the calculated field for this is not getting the sum.

    Diagnosis
    The value for field "Pers.No." in the interface to Financial Accounting is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field selection for G/L account "504566872" in company code "2275" linked to the field selection for posting key "50".
    Procedure
    It might be an error in the configuration of the G/L account field selection. The initial application, used to call up the interface must otherwise define a value for field "Pers.No.". If this is the case, contact the consultant responsible for the application used to call up the interface or get in contact with SAP directly.
    Please help.

    First of all did you required to post with personnel number or not....if it is not required then goto FS00 enter your GL account 504566872....find Field Staus Group under tab Create/Bank/Interest........then goto t code OBVV and select your field status group then click on field status and select Additional account assignments and check personnel number status and change as per your requirement optional or required.
    If personnel number required then create symbolic a/c with account type Q and assign gl account to this symbolic a/c.

    The chapter covers inheritance (super class and all things related)
    I'm having quite an annoying issue with the very beginning of the instructions, where it tells me to make the following fields:
    - Employee name
    - Employee number in the format XXX-L , where each X is a digit within the range 0-9 and the L is a letter within the range A-M.
    - Hire date
    This is what I wrote for code so far

    private String date;I really have no idea what to do for the second field, how to even constrain integers and letters in the same field with a rule for number range and letter range, and that for each character independently, for what I understand.
    Any advice with this? It's blocking me from continuing -_-, because I can't make accessors and mutators and constructors, etc, if i'm still unsure of how the fields unfold.

    You can create a HireDate class.

    }In the HireDate Constructor you could put if statements to ensure that only correct information is present. The fields are final because the hire date will not change. Override the toString() method so that when you print it out it will be in the correct format. Create some getter methods to get the private fields.
    Then in your other class just do this
    HireDate hired = new HireDate(10, July, 1991);Now you have an object that stores all 3 fields for you. You can use the object as you like and when it prints it will be in the format you want.
    Or you could just make hireDate a String variable. That is what I always did and I never lost marks for it. The reason I suggest this way is because you mentioned rules and constraints.
