Fields with selection Value

Hi
I have used 4 fields in following manner.
1)Country
2) Region
3)City
4) Postal Code
When I am selecting country , then Region Fields only shows that value ,which belongs to selcted country. And same for City and Postal Code.

One nice way to do this is to use Hierarchies.  You can define a hierarchy by country in the data manager, and then using the Java API you can build an iView that performs the functionality that you are referring to, such that when you select the country, then only options available for regions are the ones that pertain to that particular hierarchy node.

    I mean kind of pre initializíng of this select options field with default values.
    Due to this handling it should be prevented that the user can give other values
    except this values.
    Additonally it should be fine whether it is possible to disable the second input field
    of this select options field like NO INTERVALS .

    Records with a picklist field with empty values can't be seen from a report. I've created a report that have a picklist as a column. When there is no values the record(s) associated to this picklist don't appear. Do you know what are the common causes for this event?

    go to SUIM > roles > roles by complexselection criteria>
    under the selection according to authorization values give the object's  form SU53 screen and press enter it will asks the values for given object pass the values as per the SU53 and execute it will give the list of roles.... capture the roles. The user gets access if you give the any one of the listed roles is assigned, assign the role as per your approval process.

  • Mass changes of Material Master field with different values

    Hi,
    How to change a field in Material Master for more than thousand materials. I think MM17 can only be used for mass changes of materials with same values. I need to upload different values for different materials. Is there any other way to do this.

  • Creating Profile type report that hold fields with multiple values

    Really hoping someone can please help me out as I am very new to Crystal Reports.
    We use Maximizer CRM and we have been in need of some custom reports to rule out risk for regulators. I contacted Max and they suggested the only possible way is to create through Crystal. Its been almost one month already and I still cannot for the likes of me get this report operating properly. I have been inside and out on all sorts of forums, posted topics but no luck! So I will give it one more attempt in hopes that one of you geniuses can show me the way.
    In Maximizer CRM there is date, numeric, alphanumric and table. Our table fields items can be set to either single value or multi-value. So in crystal i did a default join of Client.tbl and the user-defined fields from view and joined the client id and contact number from all the view fields to client table. See Image:
    and I have dragged all the relevant fields in rows (in details section) rather then columns because we would be reporting on more then 1 record at a time. My problem is - If there is a table with multiple items selected (values), the records triple in count and it will show the same record over and over with just single field value changing at a time.
    The formula field you see in the image is from when I posted a discussion and Abhilash assisted me by providing the formulas I should add:
    1) Create a formula with this code and place this on the Details Section:
    whileprintingrecords;
    stringvar s := s + {field_with_multiple_values} + ", ";
    2) Next, move all the fields (except the formula field above) from the Details section to the Report Footer
    3) Create a formula with this code and place this on the Report Footer. This field would replace the existing field that contains multiple values:

    Left(s, len(s)-2);
    This method is not working out for this type of report. When I add the formula Crystal is still counting my 2 records as 5 records but I can only view it as a single record and the multi-field has all the values for both records and displaying as a single record. See image:

    Hi Jared,
    Thanks for taking down memory lane that is Maximizer.  Nice to see their table structure hasn't been simplified in the last 20 years.
    If I understand what's happening, you should only see 2 records and not 5.  That means your joins are creating duplicate records.  For now I'm going to skip over trying to optimize your query because I still have bad dreams of linking Maximizer tables.
    There are a couple of ways to work around the duplicates, one is to create a group and instead of having your formula in the Detail section, put it in the Group Header.  The question is what would you create your group on that would get you a unique record?
    If you know where the duplicates are coming from, create a Record Selection Formula that will remove the duplicates.
    There is also the menu option Database | Select Distinct Records.  I've never really had success with this one but there's no harm in giving it a shot.
    I would have you try and find which table or combination of tables is generating the duplicates but that requires playing with your links.  Normally I'd start by adding one table at a time and dropping one field onto the report.  If it doesn't repeat then add another table and field and repeat until you get your duplicates.  Once you know where they are coming from then you can either drop that table from your query or create a selection formula that removes the duplicates.

  • How to populate a hidden form field with a value passed from another page

    I'm using PHP/MySQL and DW CS4.
    I am trying to obtain the external key for a table, and include it as a hidden field in a form for a second table.
    The user selects a "need" from a list and is taken to a new page which displays the need selected in the prior page and a form the user can fill out with details of his offer, there should also be a hidden field in this form that contains the index to the needs table, this hidden field holds the external key. Most of the code is working, except for populating the hidden field with the external key. I have proven(by printing it to the screen) that I have obtained the external key and stored it in a variable ($saveNeedId) . What I'm unable to do is assign this variable to the hidden field in the form I'm about to store in a table. Sometimes I get zero and sometimes I get the index to the first need in the table. This ought to be simple but I can't get it to work, I must be missing something obvious - still very new to PHP.
    Here's the code that sets up the variable and prints it to the screen for test purposes

  • Edit Procedure with selected values

    I have an edit form where i drugged my view as an adf form.
    I created in my Application Module a method called "save()" which what i do is just commit:

    On my form i have some radio buttons. One of them is called LandType, with two options (OptionA and OptionB).
    Please note that this is an edit operation so there is a preselected value when i edit a record.
    I created some entity level validation which is conditional based on the selection of the above radio button. For example i have 2 input boxes, "InputA" and "InputB". If the user selects "OptionA" the "InputA" is required. If the user selectd "OptionB" then "InputB" is required.
    For the create operation everything runs smoothly.
    For the edit operation i face this problem.
    I have a record with "OptionA" selected and "InputA" with some value ("InputB" is empty)
    When i change to "OptionB", i render the "InputB" text box and i get my error message for an empty field("InputB"). If i press again save (calls my commit method in my AppModule) then the radio button from "OptionB" goes back to "OptionA" and if i click again save, it saves the changes!!!
    How can i overcome this? I want the new value selected to remain.

    conditionally-required attributes. After running the included
    CreateTables.sql script to create the
    OPTIONAL_REQUIRED_TEST table, run the TestPage.jspx to
    see that when a row has its RowType attribute set to the value
    A then the ValueA inputText component renders, while if
    its RowType attribute is instead set to the value B then
    the ValueB inputText field renders. These fields set the
    showRequired property to true to show the required field
    indicator to the end-user even though the underlying ValueA and
    ValueB attribute are not marked as mandatory. The conditional
    mandatory validation is performed in the TestEntity entity
    object using entity-level method validators. The radio group UI
    component is marked to have its autoSubmit property true, and

  • Suppressing summarized fields with zero value

    I have a report with many many fields.  I do not want to display the field if the value is zero.  Instead of me going to each field, right-clicking, going to common tab, clicking on suppress and inserting the conditional formula {summarized.fieldname}=0 for each field, is there a quicker way to do this?  Perhaps globally?

    Select all your summary fields, right mouse click, select format objects, click on the number tab, click the customize button, then on the number tab check 'Suppress if Zero'

                          Could any body help me out ?
    i do have a requirement that in the Screen, iam having a field say Tshirt size, which have to be populated differntly according to the country in the value help. how can i do that.
    iam mentioning what i have done:
    1. defined field and selected From Dictionary Attribute in the screen.
    2.maintained
    Field ztab-fieldname  in the chain endchain.
    please do the needful as hoe come the filedname is populated with value help for different countries?

    Hi Murty,
    You need to create a View on the different field set which might be composed across different Tables. Once the view is created you need to create a Search Help using that View by selecting the fields that will come in the Help. Below is the step by step Documentation for the Search Help Creation.

    But after going through your statement, I have one concern. As you mentioned that you don't have any access for the calling FM in a Report Program, then I doubt whether you will have authorization for the Data Dictionary Object creation also. Just check the Roles and Authorization assigned to your user. You need the S_DEVELOP Authorization Object for any new create.

    My customer needs to enter data in sales order and then filter/sort on it in VA04/VA05 and currently uses field "Name" in the header but this is is text field and errors occur. Is there another field, where list of values can be predefined (field with F4 possible values) that can be used in the sales order?

    I am using CRM 5.0. I just forgot that Categorization profile can be used for the same.
    I have configured the categorization profile for the same and its working fine.
    One more thing -
    I want to create an Appointment with Customer for problem resolution at the Customer Site. I want to assign Resorces to the Appointment so that the responsible resource is notified and sent to the Customer Site for Visit.
    Can you pls guide me on the same?

    I am having a senario  where I have to mapped multiple fileds from source str. to same Idoc Fields with ( differnt default values )
    E.g Source Str.
    - ShopNO
    - OrderTyp
    Has to mapped to Idoc Str E1EDK14-Orgid.
    E.g Mapping:
    So when ShopNo will mapped to E1EDK14-Orgid the default value should be "MOP" & E1EDK14-Qualf should be 019
    and when OrderType will be mapped to E1EDK14-Orgid the default value should be "STD" & E1EDK14-Qualf should be 012
    So I tried of using node "UseOneAsMany".....but there I cant define the vaule of field orgid, and seconly how to specify the values of field Qualf?
    Do i need to write my own specify function ? or I can sovle this issue using standard avaiable functions ?

    I am facing following problem... when I try to duplicate the segment and do mapping....... and then when I save, I got following error msg:
