Filtering on dataset not working on server

Hi,
I have a report that works fine during local development however when it is deployed to a server it is not displaying values in the parameter list, Unit. This list comes from a dataset that is filtered by a parameter called ADAuthorizations. I've
verified ADAuthorizations has a value on the server and we've verified that the data for the dataset is returning from the SQL Server. It appears that something might be wrong in the filtering of the dataset with ADAuthorizations or is not displaying
for some reason. Does anyone have some suggestions on why this report behaves differently on the server and how to fix it?
The dataset has an expression of UserId, an operator of In, and a value of ADAuthorizations. ADAuthorizations is an array of values.

The report is on a sharepoint server and uses a shared datasource. We've verified it is sending back the data from the SQL Server using network tracing. I've run the reports in Chrome and IE with the same result on the report. The available
values are set to none but the default values call a custom dll to look up a user's Active Directory groups which returns an array of strings. I also set the available values to call the dll which has no effect on the server but locally it duplicates
one of the values in drop down list.
I recently noticed if I view source on the report I see the error below but the report doesn't display this error. Might this be related? The server admin says he doesn't see this error in the logs.

Filters on CSWP not working when Scheduling Start Date sets Immediate Value

In Sharepoint 2013, When users sets value of "Scheduling start date" to "Immediately", the filters does not work correctly.
I have checked many forums where it is mentioned that If you set scheduling Start date to Immediately, internally the Scheduling Start Date is set to 01/01/1900.
When i use query in content search webpart as publishing date is between "Scheduling Start Date" and "Scheduling End Date" so it fails. it does not displays filtered data.
Please provide some resolution for this issue.
I have tried using calculated field wherein we can put formula to get value for Immediate value and then use it in Filter expression. but I need another approach related to "Scheduling Start Date" Column. i.e can we remove the Immediate radio button
or can we restrict user to use specific date only?

It's a server program to interface with QuickTime and some other problematic services.
If you use video or 3D in Photoshop Extended, you probably need it.
Sounds like you are correct in that it has to do wtih Quicktime. Do you have PS extended?

Filtering rule is not work

I need to sync the iPlanet LDAP server to Meta Directory Server Meta View. I apply filtering rule on Meta-Directory Server when I want to block some sub-trees. e.g ou=sale, o=company. However, the filtering rule seem does not work. The ou=sale, o=company is still flow to Meta View.
Does anybody help?

You say "is still flow to Meta View", so I guess you first tested if it works and afterwards you set the filter right?
If my guess is correct, you have the problem that your filter is not recognized by the join engine because your entry already has it's meta-directory attributes, especially the mdslinktocv in meta view and mdslinktomv in connector view (see Configuration and Administration Guide p. 324). These attributes link two entrys to each other and if this link is set, the filters and some other rules are ignored (at least, this is what I guess). This feature (or should I call it a bug?) is not documented very well.
So if you want your rules to work, delete the meta-directory attributes and try again.
If this doesn't help you, you should post your rule syntax, perhaps there is a typo or something.

Crystal Report Export not working in Server 2008

I would like to suggest you try to run SAP Crystal Reports under Compatibility Mode to check if it works.
Run in compatibility mode with administrative privilege

Captivate 5 - links are working locally but not working on server - urgent please

Hi, I'd really appreciate your quick help !
I have created a landing page in captivate 5 which has links to the different lessons - also done in captivate. all exported as swf and html.
I've used 'Open URL or file' and chose 'new' to open them in a new window, and unchecked the checkbox that says 'continue playing the project'.
on my computer after publishing, the project works just fine. when i've uploaded it to my server, the external links to the different lessons are not working.
PLEASE urgen assistant - is very much appreciated.
my files are btw in dropbox, if one of u has a moment to look at it.

Rick, I have a weird problem now.
my files sometimes load and sometimes don't!
when I place the url on the current webpage (where the index is) - the files load.
when i click them from the index file, a new window opens up but the files don't load.
this behavior is not consistent. a few hours ago it did work.
any ideas???

Max Memory Settings Not Working (SQL Server 2008 R2)

I have 12 GB ram in sql server 2008 R2 of 64 bit server (Windows 2008 R2).
I have set the Max memory setting to 12288 MB Memory setting.
Still the usage of sql server process is around 14 GB.
Is Max memory setting not working?
I have also enabled AWE after all it is 64 bit.

Problem is that: my OS is halting due to this RAM. I have 16 GB of ram and assigning 12 GB to SQL SERVER and rest is using for OS. Please guide me how to get information about actual memory usage from all sql server processes. like
all CLR etc

Are you also running SSIS/SSAS/SSRS with database engine services. What do you mean by OS is halting ?
If you want to check whether SQL Server is facing memory crunch please have a look at perfmon counters from

Sys.dm_OS_memory_clerks would be DMV helpful in tracking memory utilized by various processes

Can you reduce max server memory to 11 G and see if it gives some relief

Installation not working from server

I used the CCpackager to prepare the install on Windows. I have the design tools suite (acrobat PS, Ill Indesign + some stuff) I have to make 2 directories, one for acrobat, and one for the rest. Well I didn't have to, the packager did ! And I have to start an exe with parameters on the server in order to install acrobat. So I made a batch file with the parameters . Then I launch the setup from the other directory to install the rest of the suite. The problem is my users are not in an active dir, and they mount a net drive, and they cannot launch the batch because MS does not allow launching a batch as admin from a network location. I even had someone making a script giving the user admin rights on the batch, but it's not working. Can ADOBE make a real setup.exe that launches everything in one time ?
Is it too hard to do ?
We just cannot install that CC, 2 times out of 3 the install stops.

System.Windows.Drawing not working on server Environment (Windows 2008 and 2012 server) ?

I am facing a problem from past few days on server environment. I have created the code for taking the screen shot of the windows as follow...This code is perfectly working in Run time environment. While running and debugging the application it is working
fine.
But once i configured this website on Windows server 2008 or Server 2012 it is not working it hangs out the application at the method graphics.CopyFromScreen().
I am unable to find out the solution for this from last few day's. please help me to fix it. The code is as follow.

Flash not working on server

Hi
I have a problem.
My website http://www.advancedhomeconstruction.com/images/index.html
has a flash album.
It works on my computer but not on the server.
I copied the whole directory on the server from my computer.
It has the AC_RunActiveContent.jsscript file in the images/script directory
the slideshow.xml xml file
the sliver_silver.swf swf file
why is the flash not showing on the server.
Please could someone help me soon. I would greatly appreciate it.

I am having a very similar problem. I can't resolve it for you, but maybe what I have found out can lead you down the right path. Or maybe someone will have an easier fix than was suggested to me.
I built a website for a class in Dreamweaver. I used absolute positioning and z-index. The flash banner is the first object and at z-index 0. The site works just fine on my computer. I uploaded the site to my server and the banner disappears. Well you can still see about a sixteenth of an inch, peeking at the top of the next object.
What I have discovered it that flash and z-index do not play well together. I understand it is fixable. But it requires more code than I am willing to deal with.
I'll be watching the thread.

Add-ons not working after server IP address/domain name change.

Hello everyone,
We have just changed the IP address of our SAP Business One server and moved it into a new domain.
Although SAP Business One is working as expected, the add-ins created by a third party do not work. Having very little knowledge of SAP I do not understand where the problem could be.
The third party were on-site today and have reinstalled the add-ons but they still do not work.
There is an error message when starting the client that states: Module <Compatability Licensed for Add-ons> Expired on <20080115> but the third party have stated that this isn't a license issue.
Can anyone provide any assistance/advice on what the problem may be?
The possibilities for the problem at the moment are:
- Invalid license key for add-ons (but why would changing the IP address/domain name cause this issue?)
- The add-on is coded with the original IP address of the server.
- There is a permissions problem that has been missed (as users are in a new domain).
Any advice/suggestions are welcome.

I am afraid that the possible cause is the addon is coded with the IP address in their connection method. It could be possible that it is a hardcoded addon.
you must ask the addon developer to change it and do not use the IP address anymore in the addon.

WDS 2012 driver filtering by model not working

I am trying to filter all the drivers and force them to install for a HP Elite 8300 USDT and it is not working at all. When I remove the filter all the drivers install except the USB3. What gives? Any ideas?
I am using Server 2012 R2, but I am still using Windows 7 boot, do I need to upgrade that to the server 2012 R2 boot.wim for full support?

Run this command “wmic csproduct get name”,
make sure you typed the correct model name. And I found that remove model and keep only manufacture filter works with HP machines. Check the following thread:

Filters in CS6 not working

I have the CS 6 abd some of the filters like graphic pen & photocopy not working. The field i am working is sRGB.

The Gallery Effects filters (aka Filter Gallery) only work in 8 bit/channel RGB or Grayscale.
Many of them do use the foreground and background colors - so the result can vary when you change colors.

Basic spry dataset not working in IE7 but will in FF & IE6?

Turns out I was having a common problem- our web servers were not set up to send the xml as xml. The mime headers were set to text rather then xml. I work in a large federal site where the hardware is 3 contractors removed from the web team...
This was only a problen in IE 7 as it looks for the header type, while IE6 and FF do not...

Primary Domain Controller Time not working (Windows Server 2008)

we have 4 DC servers (not the real names)
DC1-Site1 (PDC), DC2-Site1, DC1-Site2 & DC2-Site2
All the other DCs and all the machines pick up the time from DC1-Site1, but this is out of sync with NTP
I've set DC1-Site1 to look at 0.uk.pool.ntp.org, 1.uk.pool.ntp.org, 2.uk.pool.ntp.org and 3.uk.pool.ntp.org using w32tm (yes i was running command prompt as administrator)
I am using a physical server not a virtual server
I have checked all the registry keys and they are correct, but when i do w32tm /mointor it is pointing to itself
I have tired creating a GPO for the PDC and this is being applied when I check with gpresult /r but this still doesn't sync the time with the NTP server
when i do w32tm /stripchart my PDU is +53.4 seconds out of sync with 0.uk.pool.ntp.org
it's not the firewall as the PDU can connect to 0.uk.pool.ntp.org on the correct port

The PDC Emulator in the forest root is the only one that you sync with an outside source, and the source can be your own interna,, 3rd party time service not running on a joined machine, or an external source such as US Navy servers, etc. All other
DCs in the entire forest, no matter what domain or tree, are set to sync from the hierarchy.
For the most part, just following the steps in my blog should help for the PDC and all other DCs. I thought I layed out the steps pretty clearly, since I put it together for someone else to follow at a major, enterprise environment, and they've found it
successul.
So I'm not sure what you mean by "...primary DC time server service information not save or it will save then revert back to looking at itself?"
If the PDC or any other DC, have problems with the time service and the steps in my blog don't help, or any other service, the cause may be rooted elsewhere. To determine that, would require config info including an ipconfig /all from each DC,
event log errors in the various AD logs and System logs, site design, number of domains in the forest, and more.

basically when i run the command it says it ran successfully, but when i do w32tm /mointor it says the server is pointing to local, and it is still 53 seconds

Cs6 help update will not work sais server is off line or down

tried reseting my seting on my adapter but it still will not work. also tried diabling firewall still no go can some one help me with this please?

thanks for the reply, I just tried turning off my antivirus program and added CS5 to my allowed programs in my firewall settings with no luck. i will have to contact my service provider to see if they may somehow be blocking CS5.
the strange thing is that all my other programs including Adobe Lightroom 3 can access and run their update programs using my current settings.
