Final Check of CHaRM in SPRO

After following the customizing of SAP CHaRM of Solution Manager, I clicked the final check and the report found three errors at the end. These are:
1) Check for Logical Components
    - Ok    System BWD for project BITMANTEN01 is in domain: DOMAIN_BWD.
    - Bad  No consolidation system found for BWD-100 (project BITMANTEN01)
    - Bad  No track for project BITMANTEN01 with log system BWD/100
    - Ok    Logical components for project BITMANTEN01 are consistent.
2) Check consistency for project BITMANTEN01
     - Bad  CTS projects in production systems for project BITMANTEN01
I still am not able to figure out about the above error message: "No consolidation system ". Our CHaRM configuration consists of one SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver which is linked to two satellites systems: SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Business Intelligence: BWD(100) and BWP(300). Only two systems instead of three. The consolidation route has one standard transport layer ZBWD and a transport SAP  from BWD(100)to BWP.  The configuration is based to a standard of two systems: BWD and BWP. The consistency check was already conducted on transport routes and request consistency for all. Both finished ok.
I have already followed carefully the steps from the SAP Blogs documentation: First steps to work with Change Request Management scenario. Dolores Guerra. (This example is for a landscape of 3 systems instead of 2). Should I have to create a new mandant (BWD-200) as a quality system?
What might I be wrong?
Appreciate in hearing from your comments and/or guides.

  • Clusterware Install:root.sh- Failure at final check of Oracle CRS stack. 10

    Hello All,
    Image: !http://systemwars.com/rac/cluster_back.jpg!
I was attempting to perform the steps in:
    Link: http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/OracleDB11gR1RACInstallationOnLinuxUsingNFS.php
The only difference is that I decided to use fedora core 12 instead. I did this because I added a second NIC card (USB) and only FC12 would recognize it. I tried to get it to work on Cent 5 but it just wouldn't. The second nic on each machine eth1 are connected via crossover cable, and the interfaces can ping each other just fine, rac1-priv and rac2-priv.
    So here is my setup:
    # Public
    192.168.2.11 rac1.localdomain rac1
    192.168.2.12 rac2.localdomain rac2
    #Private
    192.168.0.11 rac1-priv.localdomain rac1-priv
    192.168.0.12 rac2-priv.localdomain rac2-priv
    #Virtual
    192.168.2.111 rac1-vip.localdomain rac1-vip
    192.168.2.112 rac2-vip.localdomain rac2-vip
    #NAS
    192.168.2.10 mini.localdomain mini
Mini refers to my Mac mini which I decided to use as the 3rd "server" in the group. I was able to mount/read & write to the file systems just fine. As you can see.

To recover from a status 10, one must check:
check firewall / routing / iptables issues
Now I have turned iptables off completely it doesnt even start up at boot time, so I know it can't be that.

    1 rac1.localdomain (192.168.2.11) 2999.599 ms !H 2999.560 ms !H 2999.523 ms !H
    [oracle@rac1 bin]$ ./crs_stat -t
CRS-0184: Cannot communicate with the CRS daemon.
Both rac1 and rac2 get the same output above with the -vip getting !H => !H, !N, or !P (host, network or protocol unreachable), I am assuming this is normal as CRS install did not complete successfully and the virtual IP is not bound yet.
Im pretty sure I have some kind of networking issue here, but I cant put my finger on it. I have tried absolutely everything that is suggested on the internet that I could find. Even deleting the /tmp/.oracle and /var/tmp/.oracle but nothing works. Ssh keys for root and oracle users exist and Ive connected using every possible combination to avoid that first time ssh prompt so users oracle on each node goes directly into rac1/rac2 rac1-priv/rac2-priv & actual IPs as well. Any ideas?

    Hello
Note 370605.1 (Clusterware Intermittently Hangs And Commands Fail With CRS-184) is telling this.
"This is caused by a cron job that cleans up the /tmp directory which also removes the Oracle socket files in /tmp/.oracle
Do not remove /tmp/.oracle or /var/tmp/.oracle or its files while Oracle Clusterware is up."
    Best Regards...

  • CRS installation: Failure at final check of Oracle CRS stack.10

    Hello,
I am trying to install Oracle RAC in 10GR2 to simulate a migration from 1024 to 11GR2. I am using VMWARE with two Linux CentOS 64b 6.2 and shared disks as raw devices. I got "Failure at final check of Oracle CRS stack.10" when running root.sh, on both nodes. The ocrcheck is fine, but I have two different IDs... which is not good and I do not understand why:
    - I have shared raw devices
    - the devices are the same, I checked this twice
    Can anyoane help?
I thank you all in advance.

    Hello,
The exact error message is the one in my subject description: Failure at final check of Oracle CRS stack.10
This occurs when runing root.sh after the installation is successfull and there is no way to continue, the assistants are failing, which is logic, as the root.sh attempt to configure and run the CRS agents are not done successfully. The OCR ar ok with the same ID on both nodes, the minor in major values for the raw devices are and the firewall is disabled on both nodes. I checked the rights, they are also ok. The exact and complete return of the root.sh script is the following:

any idea where should I look?

You can start looking at the following files to check if there are any errors reported :
    a) The OS Messages file ( /var/adm/messages )
    b) Any files with names like crsctl* under the /tmp directory
    c) The client trace files under $ORA_CRS_HOME/log/<hostname>/client/*
    d) The crsd and the cssd logs under $ORA_CRS_HOME/log/<hostname>/[crsd/cssd]/*
Also what does a ps -ef | grep d.bin indicate.
Which daemons get started and which do not.

    thanks

    Hi Arun,
You need to delimit IT0588 sty 0001... . till 19.2.2014.... (i.e separation date)
    e.g
    Joining date 1.1.2010
    Termination date :- 19.2.2014...
Delimit the info type with period as 1.1.2010 to 19.2.2014...
Hope this should solve your issue...

According to the above output, the IDs are same. I followed this http://surachartopun.com/2009/01/failure-at-final-check-of-oracle-crs.html link for the workaround. I have taken the following steps:
    1. Firewall is off.
    2. I have referred to the metalink, but it provides a solution only for raw devices. I have used the link http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/hunter-rac11gr2-iscsi.html to configure Openfiler for iscsi devices. The configuration is EXACTLY the same. However, when i ran ls -l /dev/iscsi/*, the output was different on both nodes.

    Hi,
after checking (and correcting) the situtation with you raw device permission (probably you should check udev rulels), you can do the following:
    as root /u01..../crs_home/crs/install/rootcrsl.pl -deconfig -force
    and then run root.sh again.

  • New camcorder- final check before buying

An earlier thread helped me to decide which model to choose. I have settled on a Sony DCR-HC94E. ("E" is for "European".) It is said that FCE is picky about what cameras it will recognise. Therefore, the following are those parts of its spec. which I have detected from this forum as being important to satisfy FCE, and a few other features which suit my requirements. If anyone notices anything inadvisable, please shout. Thanks. Please note that I am not a professional and have not gone for a three-chip machine nor HD, on cost grounds.
    Required by FSE:
Firewire. Actually, Sony’s iLink which is said to be Firewire although it has only 4 pins whereas Apple’s implementation has 6, the added two being for power. Sony tell me that when capturing, their camera must be connected to the mains and the four Firewire pins handle the data without trouble.
However, another point concerns page 15 of FCE’s “Getting Started”, which refers to “Apple Firewire” (the default) and “Apple Firewire Basic”, which “is a simplified device control protocol for camcorders and decks that aren’t compatible with the full Apple Firewire set. Using this protocol doesn’t affect the quality of the captured video or audio.” I am assuming that this is the same point above concerning 4/6 pins and that FCE will be happy if it turns out that the Sony iLink uses “Apple Firewire Basic”. Correct?
And that I will have Device Control?
In Easy Setup, should I select "Firewire Basic"?
The camcorder comes with a driver for the Mac, which provides for capture (presumably Device Control via FCE’s “Capture now” button).
    DV, not MPEG.. whatsit.
miniDV tape cassette, not DVD, Hard Drive nor Solid state.
DV out. No DV in because, as I understand it, DV in is used for archiving video on to miniDV tape and I don’t think I would want that – I plan to archive videos on DVD as QT movies.
Sony say that the DCR-HC94E stripes a digital timecode on to the tape. I believe that FCE needs this.
    Other Features (extract):
The chip is physically 16:9 and all its pixels are used in forming a 16:9 frame. If used in 4:3 mode, the pixels to the left and right are not used. I think that this is True Widescreen and not one of the compromise ways of achieving it by, eg., compression and subsequent expansion.
    3.3 Megapixels “Advanced HAD CCD”.
10 times zoom (I would have liked more, but that’s life).
Manual focus, and full-range auto focus, White Balance (“Auto, Outdoor, Indoor, One-push”).
“Super SteadyShot”. (That is, anti-wobble control.) Electronic.
2.7 inch viewfinder LCD panel, 123,200 pixels
Low light performance - “Min. Illumination = 5 lux”.
    Battery runtime = 2 hours.
    No external mike (pity).
It is remarkably small. “What Digital Camcorder”, issue 77, has a praising review of the next model up (DCR-HC96E), the only difference being that the 96E has DV in.
Thanks for any observations before I plunge into my wallet and let the moths out.

Tom, Martin and Ian:Re. DV in etc. Thanks.
Being an amateur, (and beginner in video editing) my videos will, I think, be family movies; editing a 50-year old 8 mm cine film converted by a video lab to a PAL DVD, which I have nearly finished; and probably making videos of the country district where I live for depositing at the county library for future use, perhaps 100 years from now (if human civilisation survives that long which I doubt); and possibly some simple training videos. I am not planning on making artistic movies.
What I have been doing (so far only with the converted cine) is to edit it, export it as a QT file and use Toast (Roxio) to burn to DVD as the distribution version. (Toast also allows "burning" to a Disc Image, for checking before wasting DVD-Rs). I then check the DVD on a stand-alone DVD player and a domestic TV. I am assuming that all my efforts will likely follow that route.
    Tom (and others) said:
"You want DV in. It lets you record your finished movie back to tape."
But why would I want to do that? Archiving? But is minDV tape so long-lasting? DVDs may not last more than 20 years and will need refreshing (re-recording on current media) which decendants won't do but that's another story. To view and check the finished video? But wouldn't my method (QT, DVD player, TV, described above) do that for me? To dub from a TV broadcast or to transfer to VCR tape via A/V? I have a combo VCR/DVD set-top video recorder which can do both of those (in the second case by dubbing from the above-mantioned distribution DVD).And VCR tape is on the way out, at least in the UK (Dixons no longer sell tape or tape-based VCRs) but of course peoples' tape VCRs will remain working for, say, 10 years.
On the lack of an external mike, its a budget thing. Sony Centre said that the only detectable camera noise would be if the ambient sound was very low and as a result the gain was increased. But hopefully I could add a suitable ambient audio track as a sound bed (Tom's book, page 132) to drown it - music, general ambient, sheep.
I'm probably wrong, but not too proud to be corrected.
Meteorites, hmmm... As a pessiminst, they worry me, but hopefully I will be dead before one strikes!

  • CRM Availability Check not working for certain Item Category

    Hi there,
I have a situation where for certain order type/item category combinations, the availability check on the same material is not working.
The check is set up to happen in SAP ECC.
I have checked the config. under SPRO->CRM->Basic Functions->Availability Check->Availability Check using SAP ECC
as per many SDN posts on this, and everything looks fine.
The new item category, which was a copy of an existing one, works (i.e. gives availability) for certain order types, but not others.
If I create the same order directly in ECC, it works correctly every time.
I searched the code (from consultants who set it up originally) and can see nothing specific to the order type/ item category.
I also put a breakpoint on AVAILABILTY_CHECK function module in SAP ECC - it is not being hit, in the case where check is not successful.
Breakpoints in MV45AFZZ (Sales Order userexit) also not being hit, but they are hit for the Order/item category combination when it works successfully.
Any suggestions on where else this could be configured would be appreciated!
    thanks,
    David

    Hi David,
One 'simple' reason for this could be that the copied item category does not have the
ATP Profile set up in the item category in the IMG. Make sure you have an ATP profile assigned in the area 'ATP Profile' in the item category.
Please see as well the SCN Wiki link:
Availability Check CRM-BTX-BF-ATP - CRM - SCN Wiki
    Best regards
