Finder textes are missing

Finder menu doesn't show all the text.
OSX 10.6.8

The 3th and 4th item are missing: A3 and A3.1
This is in all finder menu's and is a bit annoying because I don't know where to click on.

SAP Query selection texts are missing

Dear All,
I have a problem with selection texts when running a query.
There are two systems: development and test. In the dev system selection texts are displayed correctly but in the test system I got only something like:

SP$00004
%LAYOUT
I also transported the User group, the Infoset and the Query but this did not help.
Please, advice.

Some layer text are missing

i downoad free psd for logo website. when i want edit in photoshop. i just see the diaog box say some layer text contain are missing.
1. why my layer text photoshop missing?
2. where i can fine layer text to fix it?

Just substitute the missing font for one of the installed fonts. Or if you desperately want the text to look like your first saw it, hunt down the font and install it. There are various sites that help locate a particular font like Myfonts Identifont Whatfontis

Untranslated OTR texts are missing in BSP when language EN

Hi!
We just upgraded our backend system to Unicode and ERP2005. Now we just discovered that our BSP solutions running from the portal does not show any text for people logging on in other languanges than english or norwegian. We have only translated our texts to norwegian and earlier the other portal languages automatically got english texts. After the upgrade they don't get english - just blank. We suppose this is because now we have entered a lot of new languages in the backend system. Are there any customizing we can do to force the OTR system to use english when a text is not translated?

try the below steps. i had the same problem earlier and it got fixed after going through these steps.
1) In Transaction 'SOTR_EDIT', check if the texts are in the requiredlanguage. You can display a complete overview by entering the 'SUS' character string in the 'alias' field. Select the 'BBP_SUS_UI' package (Display). You can identify the alias in the language 'German', for example, 'BBP_SUS_UI/NAME'. You can use this alias in Transaction 'SOTR_EDIT' to check whether texts for the desired language are incorrect or are missing.
(2) Check whether refreshing the OTR temporary storage corrects the error. To do that, call Transaction '/$OTR'.
(3) If the texts are still not displayed, see Note 797257.
(4) If existing texts are translated directlyin the customer system (for example, because it is not possible to wait for the next Support Package), refer to Note 484888.

If I save a word doc as a PDF, some graphics and text are missing - why?

I am working on a PC and when I save certain word files as PDFs I am having these issues:
- Docs saving with no graphics from original word document
- Text or text boxes in header area / near header not saving in PDF version
I've never experienced this before on any computer - anyone have thoughts? The documents have non-Western fonts which I can't open on my Mac, so I need to use the PC I am working on to save as PDFs. The fonts themselves seem to be saving fine, it's other components of the docs that are disappearing when saved as PDFs.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

I am saving a word document as a PDF - I guess Reader is just the program that opens the PDF... So this is a Microsoft question? I've never had a problem saving a word file as a PDF before...
As far as the font question, I'm not sure how to answer you... One example is that Unicode supports Devanagari Sangam MN on my MAC, but does not support certain other Nepali fonts (which I am able to download unto a PC, but which my MAC doesn't seem to support). The same is true of a Karen font called KNU which doesn't seem to work on a MAC. It seems that PCs support more Unicode fonts than MACs? I don't really understand how all of this works, but I know some of the fonts I have tried to download on my MAC aren't supported?

Phone log & texts are missing.

When I make a call or send a text message it shows up on the appropriate log but by the time the backlight goes out on the screen they are gone. No where to be found. No texts at all. No information in the call log at all. I don't know if it's the phone or if it's my service. Never had a problem with service before I swithed to this phone so I figure it's the phone. Out of options and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It sounds like your very low on device memory. Check your available memory via options, status. Write this number down. Now remove your battery to reboot your BB leaving it out about 30 to 45 seconds. When it is done rebooting check your available memory once again. You should gain quite a bit of space. Also read in the sticky section on how to optimize your device memory. Lots of good stuff on this board to help with exactly this situation.

Finder functions are missing

Hello - recently installed Lion. I discovered, that the Finder does not have the categories Today-Yesterday-Last Week which were showing the recently used files. I found that really helpfully but I am not able to find a way to configure the side bar in that way.

The DVD versions of iWork install some shared resources in an iWork folder under Application Support in the Computer Library. If you try to copy the application to another computer without using the installer, you get an error message about these missing files.

Has anyone experienced text going missing after using Change All in the Find Font dialogue box?

I manage an artwork production studio and two members of staff have separately reported that when using the Change All command to substitute fonts in InDesign's Find Font dialogue box, some text disappears from their documents. All affected text is originally set in the same font, and most of the conversion is fine but a few instances of text are actually removed (not reflowed). In the latest reported case, only four or five instances of text were 'deleted' across two pages of a 20pp document.

I haven't been able to replicate this behaviour but would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced it and if so, under what circumstances it can occur, and what work-rounds or fixes are available.
Applies to InDesign CS3 and CS4, have not tested with CS5 because we haven't upgraded yet.

Joel, I am having the same problem you described. I have read of similar posts on PrintPlanet.com. Someone there thought it was a different text engine or something in CS4 which may be causing the problem.
I don't know what causes this but I believe it can be traced to a previously created file in CS3 is saved as a CS4 document.
The fonts associated with this problem for me are always Gill Sans, Palatino and some form of Helvetica. There may be others but these are the ones we notice the most.
Today I worked on an InDesign CS4 file. When I opened it I was given a missing font warning. I went to Find Font and it was different typefaces of Gill Sans that was missing. When I changed the missing font to Gill Sans Regular entire lines of text disappeared. I closed the document without saving it and reopened it. I did the same thing in replacing fonts. This time no text disappeared. Not reflowed; not white; not hidden—gone.
This is what I have been seeing for the past few months. The disappearing text is random and cannot be duplicated, though fonts may disappear in some other place. You never know where text will just disappear.
The workaround I have found is to export your file to an INX document and reopen it in CS3. You have to replace all missing text before saving it as INX, though. To my knowledge CS3 has never had this happen.
The workaround, though it works for me, is annoying. I'd like to know what to do to resolve this issue. What's the use in having CS4 if you can't trust it completely.
I use a Mac running 10.6.3. I also have running Suitcase Fusion 2.

I would think the migration assistant transfers 100% of all contents...
When you are setting up a new Mac you can use Setup assistant the moment you boot the mac the first time. Setup Assistant will usually transfer everything. If you miss tha t moment and later launch Migration Assistant some library files will not be transferred. Migration assistant will not transfer system files, only User Files and Application files. I think, that is why your files are missing.

Best take an external drive with plenty of free disk space and plug it into your MacBook Pro.
Open the System drive, your Macintosh HD in the Finder and open the folder "Library", then "Application Support", then "GarageBand". Copy the folder
/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/ to your external drive by dragging it there.
Then open again the folder "Library" on your Macintosh HD, and this time open the folder "Audio" inside. Copy the folder
/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/
to your externall drive. Eject the drive and plug it into your iMac.
Now compare the AppleLoops folders and instrument library folders and copy all missing items over to the corresponding folders in the iMac's Library.
Afterwards you need to reindex the loops, by dragging any loop you newly installed onto the Loop Browser in garageband, see: Rebuilding the Loop Index in GarageBand

Am I doing something wrong? It worked so seamlessly on my loaner phone that I am completely stumped as to why it will not restore those items to my original phone again.

The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer or cloud service. Your contacts should be in whatever program/service you have chosen to sync.
If you have failed to do this, then they are likely gone.

Error in script : text elements are missing

Hi ,
In my print programs iam uaing lots of text elements for a
zform. I have copied the zform into zform1 and using the same print program and modified the zform1 according to my needs.
I am not using all the text elements in my zform1 script which is passed from the print program.
When i execute my zform1 by using the transaction which inturn uses that print program it gives more messages saying 512, 513 , 515 text elements are missing in form Zform1.
Can anyone tell without touching the print program can i do anything on the script zform1 to reslove this problem.

Ya, whatever Narendra told is right. U nedd to have the text elements in the script if you are calling the same from print program. Just maitain all the text elements with no text it.

When converting from docx to pdf, some text boxes are missing. Why?

Yesterday, while playing Mafia Wars, I kept getting a bar notification that "The game can not load completely because you are missing a plugin? When I clicked on the box I got an 1/2" popup, which probably contains the information I need but it is too small to find out what it is. You can not maximize it. The is nothing visible to click on. Flash and Java are all up to date, as well as all other plugins. No plugins are disabled. How can I find what I am missing?

i would not want to bet on nokia ever releasing a patch or update in the software to allow this function on this particular phone.
if you look at nokia phones over the years, they have added functionality like this across a wide range all at once, take for example timed profiles on symbian phones. these have only just been phased in.
i do not think it is a development cop out, more along the lines that nokia is a huge company and as such would have a huge effor in market research. if they didnt pick this out through their market researc, why spend the money adding it?
the comment on annoyance is entirely personal to me, as it is important to you - you may want to consider moving to a symbian (series 60) based handset as these give you a lot of expansion for this sort of need.
