Finding Lot size in PPM

Hi,
where can i see the Lot Size of the PPM in PPDS PPM.
i mean under which section, the operation part, or Activity Relationship or under PPM ?
Thanks in Advance,
PP.

Goto transaction /SAPAPO/SCC03 or /SAPAPO/SCC05
Choose the radio button choose PLAN via PPM
Enter the product and location combination and use of a plan and click display
Drill down the PPM and click on the PPM and on the right side of the screen u can find the lotsize in the production process model tab.
If you want to use BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
Enter some valid data and execute the bapi...
the relevant data gets populated in the structure of the BAPI under the fields MIN_LSZ & MAX_LSZ.

  • How to change Default Finder Windows Size?

    Hi all:
New Finder windows show Macintosh HD and there is no problem in keeping the size or view options every time I open a new window (command + N).
I can change "New Finder windows show" to another folder and works just as well.
But when I open a folder in a new window (double click on an icon folder) the size of the window is very small and different from the window displayed by using command + N.
Finder saves and applies default view options to all windows without a problem, but not the default size or in other words:
default windows size is different from new finder windows size.
In Snow Leopard I could change default size of all windows holding down the Shift key while dragging and changing the size but in Mountain Lion it does not work.
I have also deleted all files .DS_Store but neither works.
I searched a lot but can not find a solution to this problem.
    Thanks.

As far as New Finder Windows (command+N) are concerned, there's no problem.
All other folder's Finder Windows I have not modified manually are displayed with the default size shown in the attached image. That is the window size that I want to modify.
    Thanks.

  • How to know if a MRP run element is using Quota Arrangement and lot size?

    Hi all,
    Two questions:
    A) How to determine if a source is actually pulled from Quota Arrangement?
I am wondering if there is anyway from ABAP table or from Transaction (i.e. Purchasing Order) in which the source is pulled from a Quota Arrangement?
We use scheduling agreement, PIR and source list, and as well as Quota Arrangement for our purchasing.
I just want to know how, from system (table and transaction), to find out the source is from quota, not from PIR or others.
    B) Quota Arrangement still can work properly if lot-size procedure's splitting quota indicator not Checked?
If my the lot-size procedure which I am using for a material does not activate the splitting quota indicator, it means split quota will not work during MRP run.
But does this also mean that quota arrangement will not be working for this particular material even if I have create a a quota arrangement object (via MEQ1) for this material?
    Thanks
    Daniel

    Tomek,
If I want to use the split quota, it seems there is some pre-requisite.
If you go to MEQ1 and press F1's on the "Minimum qty split" column, and you will notice the following message.
Allocation by quota using splitting quotas is only carried out via a requirement planning run, subject to the following preconditions:
Through the appropriate entry in the field Quota arrangement usage (on the MRP data screen 2 or Purchasing screen) it must have been specified that a quota arrangement is to be applied in the planning run.
The indicator for the splitting quota must be set for the the lot-sizing procedure used for materials planning purposes in Customizing.
Hence, the quota arrangmeent still workable even if the lot-size does not have the spliting quota box checked?
Indicator: Splitting quota in short-term horizon
The indicator for splitting is used to determine that in the case of the selected lot size, the quota arrangement is to be applied using the splitting logic.
    Use
If this indicator has been set, the lot is split up in the planning run according to the following formula:
                                quota for source X
    Quantity for source  X = --------------------- * requirement
                               sum of all quotas

  • Manual Lot Size issue in SNP

    Hi Gurus,
I have an issue while creating planned orders manually in the planning book as it is not splitting into the lot size which was maintained in the product master.
    Some details on the issue:
I have a product X and I maintained '4000' as the fixed lot size in product master. When I enter 20000 it should spilt it into 5 batches and which is not happenning and it is placing the entire thing as one bulk order of '20000'.
(If I run heuristics, it is splitting basing on the lot size maintained).
It was working correctly for 1 product and for many of the products it is not working. All the parameters for the products are same and there is no difference.
For the product which was working correctly for one user and for the same product if I try it is not working.
I probed more into the issue to see if any parameters were added in his profile, there is one custom parameter which is assigned which splits the planned orders basing on the lot size maintained. I even assigned that profile, it worked once and later it is not working.
The strange thing is for one user it works and for other users it doesn't even work for the same product.
Note: We recently moved from SCM 4.0 to SCM 5.1.
Did any one faced such kind of issues before? Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Murali.

    Hi Murali,
I am surprised to read the issue.  I will never expect manual planned order to get split.  The lot size settings are applicable only for automated planning i.e. heuristic (MRP in R/3)
If you have indeed observed that the system splits the orders by lot size, I have nothing to comment.  (probably that is why you did not get a reply for almost a day.
If you have found some settings and find that they do not work, please raise a message to SAP for the same.
I do not think system should split the manual planned order.

  • Fixed Lot Size

    Dear Gurus,
I am simulating the functionality of Fixed Lot Size so I enter Lot Size = FX and indicated Fixed order Quantity = 40,000 in Material Master. We are using Ind./Coll = 1 and I want to generate fixed quantity of planned order equal to 40,000. But when I run MD42, the system still generated planned order equal to the shortage/required quantity. Our requirement is to generate fixed quantity of 40,000 per planned order regardless of demand requirement.
    Please help. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    SD

    Hi,
    Please find my reply below,
Use MRP Type VB:Manual reorder point planning:Here you need to define reorder point in material master in MRP view. When the stock level reaches the re order point then system will create a procurement proposals.

  • MRP Lot Size Difference

    Hi All
In OMI4 ie. MRP lot size procedure i see several MRP lot sizes i.e. EX, WB etc....
But only major difference i find is in terms of scheduling i.e.
    Blank (Requirement date = delivery date), 1 (period start = delivery date), & so on i.e. 2, 3, 4
Can anyone tell how it works?????? What is its significance
Example would be very good for me
    Please suggest
    Rgds

    Hi Vicky,
    Requirement date = delivery date
Planning or procurement proposal will create on req date
    Period start = Delivery date
Planning or procurement proposal will create on period start.
ie, if you use period lot size WB,MB.
WB means weekly lot size ie, on Monday cumulated requirement will create for that week. Same for MB, month end planning proposal will create.
    Period End = Delivery date
ie, if you use period lot size WB,MB.
On Saturday cumulated requirement will create for that week if you use WB. Same for MB.
This concept will not work if you use planning time fence.

  • Set finder window size default

How can I set the default finder window size?  I've got a new iMac and the finder window always opens small.  I want it a lot bigger.  Interestingly, on my wife's old iMAc and my MBA (both running OS X 10.8.3, same as new iMac) the finder windows open to a much bigger size.

it seems Finder opens to Applications.  Sometimes the folder is the  same size as the as the last one I closed.  Other times it is tiny.  I can't seem to spy a pattern.

  • Lot Size Planning for Procurement

    Hi  guys
In our company we work with minimum lot sizes for procurement, and we need to configure minimum lot sizes for procurement in the SNP optimization run. It´s posible to do it in SNP, pls can someone tell me how to configure this in SNP?
    David

    Hi David,
I am glad to hear that.
Regarding your performance issue: it is very usual to have long runtime when using discrete model.
The complexity of this model is much higher than a linear problem; so the optimiser takes time to find THE optimal solution.
However there is a lot you can do to make it better:
    1. Split your model: instead of running 1 big optimiser, run serveral smaller one in parallel.Ensure your model are all independant (e.g. no common product or resource)
    2. Use decomposition: (product/ time/resource; based on your scenari) to simplify the porblem, hence speeding the solution.
    3. Set a maximum time
You do not have to wait for THE optimal solution. The optimiser can sometime very quickly find a very good solution; the last hours are spent "fine tuning" it. Potentially, you might not be able to see the difference between a 4h job and the 15H one).
Hence SAP advises to set a maximum runtime when working with discrete model.
The question is how to define this maximum time to optimise the ratio solution quality / runtime.
Answer: test it, check the result. Be aware that perfomrance testing for the optimiser can take a while.
    4. fine tune you optimiser setting
There is a couple a finetuning that can be done to improve performance, especially for discrete model.
I will not be able to help you woth that.
As far as I am aware only the SAP optimiser team has the expertise to help here.
I strongly recommand to contact them; their help is often invaluable. They will also help you to define the 3 first points.
I hope this will help you.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Table for Lot size.......

    Hi All,
I am an ABAPER. I have to create a Lot size Review Report. In which transaction will i find the Lot size key, Lot size description and MRP Controller.
    Thanks,
    Ibrahim

    Hi,
    Happy new year,
U can get the lot size  and mrp controller details in MARC table.
U can get the details in MRP 1 view of material master(which also has the lot size description)(t'code:mm01  /02   /03)

  • CTM Planning: How to Handle Min Lot Size Daily Resource Capacity?

    Hello,
I am facing a situation where the Min Lot Size values require more than a days capacity of the Resource.
Finite Planning CTM is skipping all demands.
    Example:
Daily Resource Availability = 24 Hrs,
Capacity Consumption per PPM = 1000 Kgs / 1 Hour.
Min Lot Size =  50,000 Kgs
Capacity requirement for the 50,000 Kgs = 50 Hrs
Is there a way CTM can plan this?
    Thanks,
    Ran

Yes the time buckets in CTM profile has nothing to do with this limitation...
    Nor does the infinite/finite setting.
Basically its a limitation of how the resources are stored in livecache.
You can not exceed the capacity for which the resource is stored...
The only workaround is to define the resourcde in weekly time buckets by manually defining a capacity profile.
I don't like this as every order will take a week...
I am not aware of any other workaround...
I have seen other clients take out the minimum lot size for SNP, then when cif transfer the order back to R/3, it is combined to 1 large order...

  • Planned orders created with more than Maximum lot size??

    Hi Gurus,
we have a lot size 'EX' with maximum lot size =480.
But, for the materail when we run MRP we found that aplanned order is created for 1000.
Please help me to find the root cause.
    Thank you.
    Naveen.

    Hi
What is that material. If it fert and then yes system will create if you have mentioned max lot size.
Because the max lot size does not control prodcution, it only controls the procurement side

  • Costong Lot Size (Variant Costing/Configuration)

We are trying to identify where to establisth multiple costing lot sizes "in general" --- and in relation to use of "Variant Configuration" in regards to Costing Variants for Varient Configurator.

Material Master -Costing 1 screen is where the Costing lot size is defined.
This can be segmented by plant.
Generally (for your standard peice part materials) you want to keep it at "1". There are some documents where SAP uses "10" or "100" this is for some rounding  /calculation reasons. But this can cause other issues, and I just find it confusing to be anything other then "1" (although i have only dealt with standard, "tangible" mfg materials)
The only Costing Variant reasons I can think of are for priority of what "cost" to use (i.e. look for last purchased price, then MM standard cost, then previous, etc) I assume you are talking about running a Sales Order Cost estimate on a Configurable Material ?

  • Report for Reorder point, safety stock, current stock and fixed lot size

    Hi,
Purchasing Dept. is looking for a report which can give list of materials falling below the reorder point, so that they can go ahead and create procurement proposals for those materials.
They also want to see the Reorder Point, Safety Stock, current stock and fixed lot size in the same report.
Let me know if there ia any standard report availbale which displays the same or any approach to get the same.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Shankar Goud.

    Hi,
There is no standard report because this is meant to be managed by the MRP run.
The MRP lists show all materials that have a problem (such as stock below reorderpoint) but MRP generates requirements for these anyway and so all you need to do is to look for the MRP generated requirements (requisitions?) and you have your list?
    Are you using MRP?
If so then please use the standard functions in MRP to get this.
    If not, then WHY NOT?

  • Relation between PO Qty and Minimum Lot size of material master

I have maintained "100" in minimum lot size ( MRP1 View, table MARC and field BSTM) for the material.
I am also succssed to create the Purchase order for 2.5 Qty for the same material. '
I wanted to know, how system is allowig to create the PO with lesser qty or is this view is maintained only for sales?
Please give your expert comments on the same.

Used for claculate the procurement qty during MRP and depends on the lot size procedure you select. quota arrangement also uses this lot size.

  • MRP Type P1 & Lot size PK

    Dear All,
    This is REM scenario,
    Client is going scheduling agreements
    material master Settings
    MRP Type - P1
    Planning time fence - 10
    Lot Size - PK
    Procurement type - F
GR Processing time - 2 days, No plad delevery time maintained.
in planning calendar we are going with only one day as Friday
and we made previous day is working day if friday is holiday.
After MRP system is proposing dates for schedule lines as
    16/06/2010 ( wednesday ) Rescheduling date as 07/06/2010 ( Monday ) ( Rescheduling in i.e 10 )
How system is proposing this dates
Please share your views or if required more info then revert back
i cannot upload Docs as my company policy is not allowing
    Regards
    Madhu

    Hi ,
    Bring process forward (reschedule in)
Within this rescheduling horizon, the net requirements calculation checks whether, after a requirement, a firmed receipt exists, which can be used to cover this requirement. Then the system displays a rescheduling date as well as the exception message Bring process forward for this receipt. The net requirements calculation then uses this receipt and the system will only create another procurement proposal if the receipt quantity is not sufficient to cover the complete requirement. Several firmed receipts can be used to cover one requirement.
It does not take in to account the GR processing time and it is purely based on the stock requirement date , parameters in Procurement and Scheduling in the Material Master
So it will consume the requirement  backward scheduling and bring the Process forward.
Kumar which  strategy are you using ?  scheduling agreement is of weekly , daily or monthly bucket ?
How many days SA bring to Production and How many days SA for forecast you are doing ?
Are you using any Program to convert these SA in to PIR and upload ( using any program ) .
