Firefox Sync won't let me uninstall add-ons

Apparently I don't understand how to uninstall add-ons across Firefox sync. I'm on Firefox version 29.0.1 and did not have a Sync account until version 29 came out. I use Sync across 5 computers, 3 at work and 2 at home. I'm trying to uninstall some add-ons on one computer at work (I want them uninstalled across all five computers), but as soon as I restart Firefox and it syncs up, the add-ons re-install. The other four computers are all powered on, but Firefox is not running on any of them at this time. All the information I have read from Mozilla support says Sync will allow me to install, enable, disable, and remove add-ons across all synced browsers, but so far that is not happening. Do I have to disconnect all five browsers, uninstall the add-ons, then re-sync them in order to get rid of them? Or do I have to go into 'options' and de-select 'add-ons' and uninstall the add-ons manually at every computer?

Re-sync is first and best method to get out from add-ons from a particullar device else for 2nd option you can do Manually but its a time taking procedure .

Ok...Firefox 4 won't let me save any image off the internet. It will let me right click on the image, but I won't let me choose a file type..like jpeg.
I couldn't figure it out so i completely uninstalled firefox then reinstalled. I'm still having the same problems.
I can save images normally with IE.

That issue can be caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation (multiple versions can be installed side-by-side; SxS) that is missing some runtime components (Redistributable Packages) that Firefox depends on (problem with an embedded manifest file that specifies a specific runtime version).
You need to install the missing components (e.g. VisualC++ 2005 Redistrbutable).

Firefox says I need to update my add ons and plug ins at startup after restarting my laptop

I'm running 10.0.2 and I get multiple tabs when i first start firefox saying i need to install updated add ons. i go thru each one and click add and then restart firefox and all is fine. later when i turn my laptop back on and then start firefox I get the same message. firefox isn't saving or acknowledging that the add ons have already been installed. what do I need to do to fix this?

When I try to open Firefox, it won't let me and says my profile was deleted

I've been having problems with the rainbow wait button would spin and spin when I opened any new website or tried to do anything on a website. I looked through the help menus and thought that I was doing the right thing. I changed my profile folder name to places.sqlite.old and updated Firefox. Now when I try to open it, it won't let me and says that my profile was deleted.

You will have to delete the profiles.ini file to force a new profile or restore the old profile name to the name listed in the profiles.ini

Firefox sync won't stay active, requires initial setup every time!

I have three computers using firefox sync, all macs. I set up my first firefox sync normally, then installed sync on the other two computers using my login credentials. Then I noticed that as I made bookmark changes that the other computers weren't updating or were updating incorrectly. I go to 'tools' and notice that sync isn't even on! It says 'set up sync' So I go through the steps again and I'm syncing again. The problem is that I'm having to set up again, and again, and again. Somehow sync is not staying active. Always 'set up sync' .

Running Firefox. Won't let me download lion upgrade

Trying to upgrade to lion from snow leopard 10.6. Firefox is not recognizing the site and won't let me download the upgrade. Any suggestions.

The upgrade is downloaded in the App Store application, Neither Firefox or Safari is used for this.

Edit: Snow Leopard must be at the 10.6.6 level or above for the App Store to be present.

You can force 5.0 "compatibility" with the "[https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Compatibility Reporter]" extension, or with [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Extensions.checkCompatibility extensions.checkCompatibility] using about:addons.
When you reinstall a different version, at the end of the install, don't let the install start Firefox for you, rather exit, and then start Firefox in the normal manner to avoid inadvertently creating and using a new profile without your bookmarks, etc.
If you think your only alternative is going back to 4.0 or 4.0.1 you can get it at Firefox [ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ releases] (all releases, including 4.0.1 and 5.0).

Firefox sync will not let me log in.

I would like to log in to Firefox sync, but cannot. I choose "I already have a Firefox Sync account. I keep getting a message saying to put this code into the other device. The other device is an iPhone, it tells me to put this code into a pc running Firefox sync. I am going around in circles.
I then click "I don't have the other device with me". It asks me to sign in with Account. Password and Sync Key. I do not have the Sync Key. I am told that I can get the Sync Key from my other device. My other device is an iPhone that has no way of showing me the Sync Key, so I am still going around in circles. I have previously reported this but no one from Mozilla has contacted me.

New firefox sync won't sync bookmarks to new computer

I just bought a new laptop and was trying to sync the bookmarks from my old one to my new. They both are running the same version of firefox and have been using the new sync. However, when I logged in nothing happened. All my info doesn't transfer.
