Flash CS5 not exporting AVI

I never had this problem with Macromedia Flash MX, but now that i've installed Adobe CS5 Production Suite neither Flash CS5 or Flash MX export even simple animation to AVI. Just large unplayable files. Or in a couple instances, the files are messed up - the bottom corner appears on the left hand side etc.
In the past I have exported animated sequences as AVI of up to 4 minutes in length from one single run of frames and inbetweens without an issue.
I am running Windows 7. My tower specs should not be the issue. Why aren't my AVIs exporting?
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Please............I need this resolved???
I have now completely reinstalled the CS5 Mastersuite and Flash CS5 is still showing the above error.

  • Flash cs5 not recognizing type1 fonts

    hello,
    i'm fresh to using flash cs5. everything works smoothly,
    but i can't use type1 fonts (even though they work ok in flash cs3, and also, all the other types of fonts work fine).
    if i use a type1 font, the textfield (both render in the final swf, as well as on the stage) appears in some default font.
    i'm talking about text field type classic / static text.
    ANYBODY ANY IDEA? thanks in advance, me i'm on my wits' end... =/

    Just go through the steps described at http://www.adobeflashprofessional.info/flash-professional-cs5-embed-fonts-for-consistent-t ext-appearance/ that may solve your problem

  • Mac OS 10.7 and Premiere Pro CS5 not reading AVI and DV files, not rendering to Media Encoder

    Hi Folks,
    I've been wrestling with these problems since I bought my Macbook Pro running Lion (currently v10.7.3). I've had video editing and DVD authoring workflows that have worked perfectly for both CS3 and CS4 with Premiere Pro and Encore. I used to be able to import DV and AVI files and render timelines to Adobe Media Encoder so I can make DVD projects in Encore but it seems there are a lot of broken bits and pieces either with 10.7 or with CS5 or both. I've tired creating new projects or re-editing CS4 Premiere Pro projects that I can still edit with CS4 on my old Macbook Pro with 10.6.8. In fact I've given up on CS5 and I've gone back to my old laptop to edit. My problems with CS5/5.5 are:
    1     Can't import DV files - error message saying this is an unsupported format
    2     Can't import AVI files - error message saying this is an unsupported format
    3     When I export media and try to use Adobe Media Encoder (AME) the render queue doesn't respond to the files being sent from Premiere Pro (PPro). I have to render the files one at a time from within PPro. I have no idea where the queued files go but even if I have AME open it doesn't respond. In CS4 AME would open automatically and wait until I told it to render the files.
    4     In Encore I've had trouble burning to DVD. I have to make an ISO file and then burn that using Toast. I'n not particularly fussed about this but while I'm unloading I may as well give you the full picture.
    Basically I'm really hating this vcersion of CS5/Mac OS. Lion is like using Vista from what I can tell. On my PCs I went from XP to Windows 7 so I kinda avoided all that pain it it seems the computer gods are smiting good and proper now. I don't care whose fault it is I want Apple and Adobe to fix it or if some kind soul can share their experiences and hopefully how they fixed it I'd be eternally grateful until the next upgrade totally blindsides us all.
    Thank you in anticipation --> Mal/Melboure/AU

    Sorry for your troubles.
    Pr 5.5.2 is still a bit persnickety for me on 10.6.8, but overall, it's still faster than FCP7 and MC6, and overall pretty dependable.  Imports and plays AVI files just fine.
    Lion still isn't ready for prime time, from what I've seen.  Like all Mac OS releases, it probably won't be until 10.7.6 or so.  And that may never happen, becuase 10.8 is purported to be just around the corner.
    So, my advice is, if possible, go back to what works, 10.6.8.

  • Flash will not export a whole SWF file

    I've been having this problem for weeks now. Basically my flash projects were running fine for about a month or two, until recently they have stopped compiling a full SWF file either in test movie or publish. The thing is this: I can test every scene and each scene compiles correctly into its own SWF, but when i compile the whole movie it will simply give me the loading bar, loads all the way, then disappears (no exported swf, nothing at all). I searched extensively on the problem, I saw someone saying that some scenes might just be conflicting with other scenes upon compiling the swf. Others mentioned I might have had a movie clip error, where I may have used a movie clip instance name more than once, thus giving flash a problem upon compiling. I think the problem is neither of these two, the reason being:
    - I deleted my whole library, wouldnt export an swf.
    - I deleted some scenes, won't export (unless I leave only one scene left - and no the problem is not that one scene, because I tried deleting it first, then compiling it and no luck)
    - I have a save file that DOES compile and another save file that DOESN'T compile, the difference being is that the latter has a few frames (10-20 frames) of color that the other doesn't. As soon as I paste the color layer in the original save that does compile, it won't compile anymore (I saved those color frames in a seperate flash file just to transfer them).
    I had this problem once before, however I solved it by deleting a few scenes, and exporting it to cs4, then back to cs5.5 and pasting the missing frames from another source. This method seems to not work anymore. Could it be the file size? it is coming close to 200 mb as a cs5, and 250 as a cs4. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Premiere Pro CS5 not exporting audio

    Hi all,
    I've already searched Google and these forums extensively but can't seem to solve this problem even with all the solutions I've seen. I've never had any trouble in the past with exporting and/or audio, but the project I'm working on won't export properly.
    I'm exporting a ~4 minute video with a mix of camera (Canon 60D) audio, audio from my Rode mic, and an mp3 as background music. The audio plays fine in the timeline, but I can't seem to get the export settings right. I've tried H.264, Vimeo HD, and exporting JUST the audio to no avail. The audio is AAC, which I've tried 48 and 44.1 kHz.
    The video exports perfectly in 1920 x 1080 but has absolutely no audio.
    Can anyone help me with this? The render time is super long on my old Macbook so I've just been exporting sections at a time.
    Thanks! Let me know if I should provide any additional information.
    Edit: I've also tried exporting through Media Encoder CS5; same result.

    Hi, I'm having pretty much the same problem but after trying several of these solutions i'm still stuck,
    I've completed a 30 minute film using 3 different types of digital cameras.
    When i try to export it my system crashes and i have to open it again.
    the project file is 35GB and i have over 100GB space on my external usb hard drive, so i know there is enough space, i also deleted temp files and unused files too.
    I contacted an experienced film maker and took my hard drive to him so he could export it on his system and that also crashed, but he was able to export the entire video of the sequence but unticking the export audio, so i have a 30 minute film with no sound and i've put it down to an audio issue.
    I had the same problem when trying to export the film when it was just 20 minutes long, i then cleared the media cache and deleted a lot of unwanted files etc, and then i was able to export the film. now it's 10 minutes longer and the issue seems impossible to solve.
    the only solution i can think of is to delete the last 10 minutes of audio (which isn't really an option) or somehow record the audio into a seperate file and import it into the project
    I'm not entirely sure of the exact details you would need from me but if there is any please ask
    Using windows 7
    4.00GB of RAM
    Dual processor
    Thanks for reading!

  • Keynote to flash- could not export media file

    alright. so I am an after effects guy with no experience in
    flash, although i do have cs3 including flash. (working on a mac).
    long story short... i have a keynote presentation (or i can
    convert to ppt) that is completed. I have swf videos i placed in
    the pages which play back fine before i export. when i export, i
    get a warning that "media files on slides.... could not be
    exported."
    ive tried different videos, different codecs, everything. Ive
    tried using a new project in keynote with one page that has nothing
    but a video, still get the same issue.
    now i have exported my project as a flash file without the
    videos, and am hoping to open this file in flash and be able to add
    the video layer on top of where it should have originally been.
    but the tricky part is... the presentation must be manually
    controlled by the viewer, and with each clip, they need to decide
    when to perform the next action, including playing the video.
    i open up flash, and realize how much i have no idea what im
    doing. do i write code? where do i pull up the code from and what
    do i add? do i add a new layer to the timeline? ive been banging my
    head and gotten nowhere.
    when i originally exported from keynote to quicktime, it
    worked perfect. unfortunately for my dads business, we need a flash
    format since most of the auto dealerships run off of pc's without
    quciktime installed.
    any help, advice, guidance, or a point in the right direction
    would be greatly appreciated.
    THANK YOU!!!
    -Micah

    Hi Guys,
    Fixed it.
    I followed steps I found regarding this similar problem from another forum which I'll post here:
    1 - change the extension of the fla to zip so you can unzip the fla into its folder structure (flv).
    2 - within the LIBRARY folder, there is likely some asset that is causing the problem. you must figure out which one (or more) it is. you can do this by simply removing files from that folder until your file opens successfully (open the flv file in the root).
    3 - once you have the xml files that are causing the problem, you can actually fix them by going in and removing the empty frames. in mine, the part of the xml i removed looked like this:
    <DOMLayer name="Layer 2" color="#9933CC" current="true" isSelected="true">
              <frames/>
            </DOMLayer>
            <DOMLayer name="Layer 4" color="#FF4FFF">
              <frames>
                <DOMFrame index="0" keyMode="9728">
                  <elements/>
                </DOMFrame>
              </frames>
            </DOMLayer>
            <DOMLayer name="Layer 3" color="#FF800A">
              <frames>
                <DOMFrame index="0" keyMode="9728">
                  <elements/>
                </DOMFrame>
              </frames>
            </DOMLayer>
    Basically look for any <frames> tags that don't have anything in them. These are harmless to remove as they are not adding anything to your file anyway.
    Now you can open the .flv and save it as a .fla again if you wish.
    Good luck everyone

  • Flash CS5 not working - tools & pallets not active

    I have just installed Flash Professional CS5 but the pallets & tools are greyed out and inactive.
    I have tried re-installing the software but same thing happens. No error messages when installing. Other CS5 applications seem to be fine
    I am quite new to Flash and am unsure what to do.  I do have CS3 installed which works fine

    I just had the same thing happen, and then I stumbled upon an odd fix:
    In the top-right corner of the window where you can choose your workspace (mine is set to "Essentials" by default), use the drop-down and select something else. Then flip back to your preferred workspace. All my tools were then available again.

  • Premiere Pro CS5 Not exportting to tape on TWO different Computers!!! HELP

    I had a prior post in january with a new desktop having problems exporting to tape. when it would export a blue screen would come up at random times breaking up the recording. almost like the camera was losing signal with the computer.
    Im capturing and exporting using a Canon XHG1 HDV camera.
    Both the Laptop (sony vpcf11x) and Desktop (custom with intel sandybridge motherboard) can CAPTURE tapes fine. but export causes problems on BOTH machines.
    Both of my computers (a laptop and desktop use the Intel i7 chipset.
    I have a Third desktop (gateway something or other) that ive been using Sony Vegas to Export to tape and it WORKS EVERYTIME! with the same Camera and Firewire Cable.
    Itried installing Sony Vegas onto the new Desktop to export and I get the SAME problem that I get with Exporting with Premiere.
    has anyone else heard of these problems? it is really starting to irritate me. with everything ive done, it has to be something with Adobe. how can i have the same problem on two different computers?

    Here are more specific information with my system and settings for you to see. I also included a video of my workflow and showing you what exactly is happening on export.
    Project Settings:
    Capture Format DV
    Video Rendering and Playback: Mercury Playback Engine Software only
    Sequence Settings:
    DV NTSC
    29.97 fps
    720x480
    Aspect Ratio 16:9
    30fps Drop-Frame Timecode
    Playback Settings:

    Aspect Ration Conversion: Hardware Only
    External Device Audio
    Export: external device DV: 29.97 720x480i
    Disable video output when in the background is not checked
    Export to tape settings:
    Activate recording device is checked
    assemble timecode, delay movie start, and preroll _ frames (none are checked)
    abort after _ dropped frames (not checked)
    report dropped frames (not checked)
    render audio before video (is checked)
    I render out the video to one file (on my desktop).
    then import the clip into a new sequence with the above settings.
    file>export>tape>
    then it begins recording and drops out like the camera loses signal.
    this is really frusterating.

  • Flash can not parse this document CS5

    I am working with one of my students that is creating an animation in Flash CS5 he has only worked in Flash CS5 not any other version he saved one day and when he returned the next to work on his file he can not open his file and keeps receiving the error message that "Flash can not parse this document." Is there anyway to save his work or is it gone? There is not a CS4 version to work with this file only CS5

    You're all very unlucky to get this problem. I don't know why you guys got the error when transitioning from Flash CS4 to CS5. My transition went perfectly fine, and the game I was developing went through perfectly clean.
    Sorry about your problems
    dikuno <><
    P.S. By the way, that file that was mentioned "textLayout_1.0.0.595.swz", is created whenever you put in TLF text that is edited at runtime via ActionScript and use Runtime Shared Library (RSL) preloading. Did you leave all your text boxes be, or convert them all to TLF?
    P.P.S.S. I was very lucky that I didn't lose my project when I transitioned, as my current game is actually due in around a week. Hoepfully none of your projects that you lost are due in a week.
    P.P.P.S.S.S. Imagine if this happened to Alan Becker while he was working on Animator vs. Animation II (it took him five months).
    P.P.P.P.S.S.S.S. I feel especially sorry for the guy who spent three months on his online multiplayer real-time game. Must be a real shame to lose all your work after all those late nights and sore backs...
    P.P.P.P.P.S.S.S.S.S. If you don't know what Animator vs. Animation is, you should watch the animations. You can find them on YouTube - just look up "Animator vs. Animation" and "Animator vs. Animation 2".
    P.P.P.P.P.P.S.S.S.S.S.S. Sorry about all the PostScripts.

  • Flash will not publish + FLV question

    Hello,
    I am currently building a game in Flash CS4, but am stuck due to a Flash problem. I have searched the forums for a sollution, but have yet to find one.
    The Problem:
    Adobe Flash will not export, or publish my .FLA file, nor will it create a .SWF at the chosen destination under the publish settings. Whenever I try to export/publish my .FLA, the export/publish pop-up window opens, and the progress bar runs all the way through. Once that is done, the window which normally appears immediately afterwards, in order to test the flash, does not appear.
    Furthermore, Flash seems to have deleted the .SWF, and any other files I wish to publish the moment the publish/export process is completed.
    The strange thing about this problem is that I may be lucky and have Flash actually export and publish correctly on its first go. However, when I try again, it won’t publish/export until I restart flash.
    This problem happened on three separate windows machines (Vista and 7) under both Flash CS4 and CS5.
    Note:
    I have discovered that this problem may be related to the many embedded FLV video clips I have created for the game’s character animations (6+ characters with 30 very short animations each).
    These animations were rendered in a 3D CG software, which were then edited in Adobe After Effects, and exported as .FLVs for use in Flash.
    Oddly enough, once I’ve deleted all the embedded FLV clips from the library, Flash will once again publish and export. This is not an acceptable solution to my problem, however. I already searched for any corrupted FLV files, but could not find any.
    My questions are:
    1. What can I do to make Flash publish/export once again, while having my embedded .FLV clips within the library? Is there something I am over-looking, or any settings I must change in Flash?
    2. Which settings (in Adobe After Effects) are best to export .FLVs for use in flash?
    3. If I cannot use FLVs, what other options do I have, in order to use my CG animations in Flash? I tried PNG sequences, but Flash complains about low memory, and crashes (FLVs were working great up until now).
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    I've also experienced problems with the Publish process dropping out and failing to complete - no error messages in the Output pane or Compiler errors, just a total hang of the Publish status bar (and no published files...).
    I can't say I've pinpointed the exact cause of this, but it may be related to having all objects on the Stage locked (possibly when they are not placed in the main canvas area).
    Adding a new layer and creating a new object seems to help.  If the publish process (including TestScene) has stalled, restart Flash and reload the movie...
    Hope that helps!  It's kinda scary watching that Publish bar disappear into nothingness when you've got literally hours/minutes/seconds left to get the thing built and running :-)

  • Not able to export quicktime movie from Flash CS5 or CS6.

    Hi! I am not able to export quicktime movie from Flash CS5 or CS6. When I export it the progress bar is showing and says Recording Flash content and nothing happens

    I havent exported any videos in the past from Flash. The movie is around 45 seconds and the size is 470KB.
    I tried both, the memory and the hard drive.
    In the attached image you can see the settings and in the other image you can see the progress bar that remains without something to happen.
    I dont mind what type of video to export it can be also .avi but again I have troubles there. It is very large and the animation is distorted.
    The animation consist from two scenes. The first one can be exported without any problem but the second one cannot be exported. May be because it has some masks layers and guide layers?
