FMS Recording - Seek Causes Synch Issues Audio/Data Recording

Hi,
I have recordings being generated by FMS 4.5.  These recordings are a combination of data (for example, chat text that was typed into a chat window) and audio.  The audio, as currently designed, comes on and off.  Therefore, the record stream plays a audio stream, but that stream turns on and off by calling play(activeAudioStream) and play(false) once the audio has ended, over and over.
The recordings (as flv) play back fine, when not using the seek feature.  When using the seek feature, I get obvious problems where playback will simply Stop, and not resume for a specified about of time.  For example, if I start a recording at 60 seconds in, then at 120 seconds, playback stops and nothing happens for a long, seemingly random about of time.  The stream is active, as when it does resume, the time value of the stream includes the long period of nothing happening.
This is very confusing, because the recording works fine from the beginning.  I am fairly certain this has something to do with recording audio/video.  A data only recording is fine.  A recording with audio all the way through, even with data, is fine.  But, having the recorded audio stream turn on and off seems to cause major problems.  Any ideas?  If the audio is not continuous, should I create data only and audio only recordings, and setup my playback to stream the audio based on data events indicating the start/end of an audio section?
Note this is being played back in an AS2 application.

Are you using Stream.flush API - if you are using that it migth cause some syncronisation issues if data and audio/video is mixed.
I did not get your usecase clearly - let me know if you using above API. I think it would be better to use second option if you can usedata and audio seperately but probably you can explain use case better so that we migth help you.

    I'm doing everything the same and have made many successful slideshow recordings using Keynote, but since updating the Yosemite and then updating Keynote the audio just stops recording after about 30 seconds.
    The slides keep on changing and recording the video, but after 30 seconds the audio stops recording even though it seems to be registering the sound and the mic is not muted in Keynote.
    Is there some change or new setting I am not aware of that needs to be altered?
    Any advice would be helpful as I need to record a lot of presentations.

    I can't imagine this will work as the the application is tied into a specific computer and user ID to prevent unauthorised use of single use applications. Copying over has not worked with previous versions of Keynote.
    It worked for me. I guess it could be because we bought our Macs together and have home sharing or something. Either way, I'm running Yosemite but with Keynote 6.2.2. and not updating again until Apple do something about this bug.

  • Galaxy S4 KitKat Update Causing Major Issues With Data Speed and Text Messaging

    Dear All,
    My company has over 40 phone users and since the KitKat update has pushed out we are experiencing two major isssues:
    Many of our phones are only getting 3G in places that historically before they had blazing fast 4G.  Most message boards say to power off, remove the SIM card and replace.  This gives only temporary relief.  We get 4G for 10 minutes, and then it reverts to 3G, and it is slow 3G at that.  I have seen where some have gone and gotten a replacement SIM, but they indicate this is not a long term solution.  I have also seen that a hard reset/factory reset is being proposed.  However, this seems ridiculous to do to over 40 devises where the obvious cause is the update.  Has anyone found the answer to this one?
    Many users, including myself are now having outbound text messages fail.  We have to resend them over and over to get them to go through.  This problem is pretty widespread through the device pool.  I am unsure what could be causing this.  The messages fail regardless of if the phone is connected to wireless or not.

    I have had the same problem with my phone. Called tech support and after they contacted Samsung the solution is a factory reset to fix the problem and they are supposedly working on a fix for it. After doing the reset Friday, I have to restart my phone multiple times during the day to get messages to send. I also notice only 3G where we always had 4G. Called tech support again and was given the option to send phone in to have it repaired or get a refurb under warranty. Not sure what I am going to do yet but I can see it is definitely not just my phone. Of course the techs say they have not heard of this before.

  • CLFMAS IDoc - Issue in Data Record Population

    Hi Experts,
    My SAP systems are configured in such a way where CLFMAS Idoc is triggered based on Change Pointers.
    The field 'Class Type' (KLART) is filled in the IDoc as '022' whereas the actual value is '023'.
    I debugged through the function module generating the IDoc. I see that the value being passed to 'MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE' is correct, but once IDoc gets generated, the value seen in transaction WE02 is wrong.
    Where might the value possibly be getting changed?

    I understand your point.
    But wont such Customer Functions be called before the function module MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE gets called?
    I see that the values in EDIDD are consistent till they are passed to MASTER_IDOC_DISTRIBUTE. Its only when the IDoc is actually created that I see the values are changed.

  • Synching External Audio Source. TC In/Out of Camera?

    A guy I know wants to record 6 seperate channles of audio on an external deck and somehow have it synched with timecode to the video on his camera. The camera is an HVX200. Is there a way to get the timecode of the video to match the timecode of the audio so it's easy to synch in FCP?
    What kind of equipment is needed for this. Is it audio side or video side that generates the code?
    I'm not so up on my external audio. Thanks in advance.

    Your choice of recording system is critical, you'll need timecode and RS232 or 422 control. Suggest you find an FCP operator locally who has had success with mutlitrack sources.

    In MEMASSPO when we select "Purchase Order Item" & execute it,We get two tabs, one for Data Records to be changed & second for Data Records to be created.
    What is the use of second one?
    I have a scenario wherein we want to delete all existing PO for some materials & add new material codes in same PO.
    Is it possible by MEMASSPO or it requires some BDC/LSMW to created.

    You can not replace the Material nos. exists in PO by using mass transaction.
    Even you can remove the material no. in Po after saving..you have to flag for deleteion and add new line item with correct material.

    Hi,
    Please look at /BIC/TYGTMARKET table in SE16.
    Find the record with a key = 47 and notice what values have Date_from and Date_to fields. The interval they determine, overlap with 01.01.1900 - 31.12.9999.
    You need to supply correct date_to & date_from values.

    !)0HRposition infobject and check what is the time previously for that record..
    2)Edit the PSA for the 7415 or 7416  and change the vlaue to the previous record time which u found in the infoobject
    3) i think ur doing a full load.  so better edit the PSA and repload the data from PSA

  • Audio synch issues in QT

    My project displays fine in PE8. No audio synch issues in the preview. After outputting the project to a quicktime movie withe LAN setting the audio becomes seems to run faster than the video, becoming more and more out of synch as the movie plays. Any ideas what might cause such an issue?

    The Stream info in MPEG streamclip for files from both cameras gives me this info:
    Bitrate: 30.31 Mpbs
    Video Tracks:
    DV/DVCPRO - NTSC, 720x480, 16:9, 29.9699999999999 fps, 28.77 Mbps
    Audio Tracks:
    16-Bit Little Endian mono, 48 khz, 768 kbps
    I don't know if this helps.

  • 12 bit audio synch issues

    Hey all. I have a queation regarding 12 bit audio synch problems. I have digitized a tape recorded with 12 bit audio and am just now coming into video/audio synch issues and was wondering if anyone might have a workflow suggestion. Soecific questions are -
    1 - Can I export the troubled clips to quicktime/ resample them at 16 bit and reimport?
    2 - Some of the clips I already have edited and are in synch, do I need to correct them as well or will final cut do that on export?
    3 - If I get a 12 bit/16 bit mixed bag on my timeline, can I export the mix to 2 track and convert before exporting it to compression?
    ANy suggestions on how to work through this would be appreciated. I seem to have a lot of people coming to me with this setting and would like to know of any viable workflow solutions.

    1. Yes. Quicktime Pro, iTunes or third party audio editing software such as Peak can resample to 48khz/ 16 bit.
    2. It would be best if you can get everything in the timeline to be 48khz/16 bit.

    I was able to modify the main.asc file in the application/livepkgr directory to include:

    I get three status messages in the FLME encoding log:
    Requested DVR command has been successfully issued to Primary FMS server for stream livestream1

    Please prefix 'mp4:' to the stream name to record H264/AAC/HE-AAC encoded data at FMS using DVR feature
    Now I have a few issues:
    1. How to I fix the issue with the 3rd status message "Please prefix 'mp4:' to the stream name to record H264/AAC/HE-AAC encoded data at FMS using DVR feature" since the code above is prefixing the "mp4:" to the stream name.
    2. In the applications/livepkgr/streams directory there is a file called "undefined.f4v" which is telling me the code above isn't passing the info.streamname variable.
    3. Also, what do I need to do to playback this .f4v file. I've tried opening it with Adobe Media Player, but it doesn't recognize it.
    I'm obviously using multi-bitrate streaming and that is working flawlessly.  My goal is to record this livestream to later playback as an mp4 file.
    Any ideas?
    UPDATE:
    I know on page 15 of the FMS 4.5.1 developers guide, "Configure DVR (HDS)" under "Publish a DVR stream", it states "To Publish a DVR stream from FLME, DO NOT check Record OR check DVR Auto Record. Publish the stream just as you publish any live stream. In the next section "Play DVR streams" is states that I can use SMP (Stobe Media Playback), which I am.  So that brings up two more questions:
    1. Why is my SMP Player not displaying the DVR funtionality (See image):
    In my SMP configuration, my streamType is "LiveOrRecorded" - default. There is a streamType = "dvr", but will I lose live funtionality?
    2. If I want to later on, package the stream into an mp4 file and play it back later for those who missed the live stream, what is the best approach for that?

    Two things: You need to have "DVRCast" application on server-side i.e. "dvrcast_origin" for DVR recording to work and secondly for mp4 recording your stream name should be "mp4:<streamname>.mp4" while publishing.

    You find third-party apps in the App Store. What app are you looking for? Due to problems, Apple removed the ability to record that information in Health. You can always go back to whatever you used before three weeks Health was released. Why can you not check and record your blood glucose? I would assume you check it using blood samples and a glucose meter which has nothing to do with your phone. You should be able to record it in any number of apps, from Notes to purpose made third-party apps.

    Have you tried contacting iTunes Support and asking them ? We are fellow users here on these forums, it could be due to a number of reasons, we won't know which one.

  • HT201777 WHAT IS CAUSING THE NO AUDIO ISSUE ON APPLE TV?????

    I work at a school. Every single classroom has an apple TV device connected to all projectors.
    Staff constantly have issues where they are seeing visual but NO SOUND.
    We created an Airplay Audio Fix in which they can install! (takes about 10 seconds) this disconnects them from the ATV.
    Once they connect back up as per normal and use audio the audio comes back instantly.
    We are unsure of what is causing the NO SOUND issue.
    We know how to fix it otherwise (powering off ATV, unplugging the cables etc... OR OUR AIRPLAY FIX which saves us a lot of time from running from classroom to classroom.
    DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THE NO AUDIO ISSUE? I HAVE COME TO A CONCLUSION THAT IT MAY BE BECAUSE STAFF ARE NOT DISCONNECTING FROM THE ATV BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE CLASSROOM I.E. CLOSING THE LAPTOP LID, WALKING AWAY FROM THE CLASSROOM VIA THE IPAD ETC..
    THIS MAY NOT BE THE CASE AND AM WONDERING IF ANYONE KNOW WHY THE ISSUE OCCURS. I DON'T NEED TO KNOW HOW TO FIX AND WE HAVE A SIMPLE FIX BUT JUST THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM.

    Could be network bandwidth issue transiently if Macbook makes loads of wi-fi accesses when starting.
    Could be wireless router transiently becoming unresponsive to AppleTv while it negotiates with the new device.
    Could be the MacBook finding AppleTV and some communication between them taking priority on the AppleTV such that AppleTV can't handle the music playback too - it should be designed to be resilient to this sort of thing, but it isn't a very powerful device and some hiccups i think are due to it's hardware not coping, just like a computer becoming transiently unresponsive if CPU hogged by some process.
    If you are opening iTunes on Macbook, try unchecking 'Look for AppleTVs' in Preferences - I seem to recall a few people saying this helped a similar issue, and it would imply that this prevented some interaction between itunes and AppleTV that stopped other functions transiently.

Maybe you are looking for
