this does not help. I have forgotten ALL of the answers to my security questions. I can NOT reset the answers to my security questions without answering two of the three security questions. The other way to reset the answers to these questions is for apple to send me an email on my rescue email addres which I DO NOT HAVE.

Try booting into Internet Recovery mode (booting whilst holding down the command, option and R keys). It will take a while to load as you're booting from Apple's servers across the Internet.
Once there, use Disk Utility to erase the "Macintosh HD" partition. After the drive is formatted try reinstalling the OS.

Since upgrading to iOS7 I cannot download anything from iTunes or the App Store. I get asked for PW and then it just reverts back to showing the price of the app or song. When you tap it, it gives an INSTALL box and when tapped it again asks for PW.

Please help. I cannot download any apps or itunes content. Just get this circular path of tapping to install, entering PW and back to tapping to install and asking for PW. This started with the latest iOS update. Any help would be appreciated - Thanks

Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.

Sounds like you may have originally been connected to the store, with your Ymail apple ID, and would need to change it back to this, in order to update.

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number? Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.

If you've been unsuccessful resetting your security questions by signing into your account at appleid.apple.com (manage my apple I'd) and the going to password and security, and have also tried contacting iTunes support and have not heard back then:
Call 1-800-APL-CARE and have the following info ready:
Your verifiable and active apple I'd username, the serial number of a device registered in your name, and some billing info currently associated with your account.

hey, how do I reset my security questions? i done it before many times but today i forgot the security question answers. also, I've been using the same devise everytime which is my ipod touch.

Read the HT5312 page that you posted from, it has instructions for how to reset them i.e. if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then steps 1 to 5 half-way down that page should give you a reset link.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will need to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use

I have the same issue, bteween France and The Netherlands. No solution found yet.
Worse even. My credit card is not from The Netherlands, and the dutch store does not accept a creditcard from outside NL. So i used my french card to buy one app using France has my home country. Luckily the app's language remained English, but now the french store seems to be offering me frech versions of existing (free) apps which i dont want. So i cant use the updates.
i cant change the country back to Neterlands, without using a credit card. I can make a new ID, but the old one remains stuck with the french store, pffff It seems the only solution is to create a new ID via a "purchase" of a free app, but the older free apps all may need to be reinstalled that way.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You should have signed in with that address in the first place, but there is a workaround: go to System preferences>Mail, Contacts@ Calendars and add your @me.com address as an account there.
