Thanks for the help - I edited the C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\test_domain2\bin\setDomainEnv.cmd file as follows:
@REM set BEA_JAVA_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\jrockit_160_24_D1.1.2-4 (I commented out this line)
set BEA_JAVA_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24 (I added this line)
set SUN_JAVA_HOME=C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_24 (this line was already here)
After confirming ENV's:
Path=C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_24\bin;C:\app\bschamac\product\11.2.0\dbhome_1\bin;C:\Windows\system32;C:\Windows;C:\Windows\System32\Wbem;C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\
JAVA_HOME=C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_24
I then restarted WLS, but the C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\common\bin\commEnv.sh still says:
JAVA_HOME="C:/Oracle/Middleware/jrockit_160_24_D1.1.2-4"
SO I think I am still hosed.

  • Forms 5 Runtime crashes when using wheel mouse

    Hi,
We get Invalid Page Faults when using a wheel mouse in Forms
(Forms 5.0.6.8.0). When scrolling up to the first record the
message 'At first record' occurs. Then we get a ORA-00001 error
(!?), followed by the invalid page fault and forms runtime
crashes. Other actions (scrolling down, scrolling up, but not to
first record) work fine. I suppose there exist a patch to solve
this problem, but I wasn't able to find it. Could someone please
    help me ?
    Thanks.
    Koen

Crashing is normal Forms 5 behavior. Why should a wheel mouse
    make it better? :-)
If you use Patch 10 (get it on metalink) for D2K Forms 5 on
Windows (and a good mouse driver), this problem is almost gone.
    But be warned:
Patch 10 introduces other more serious bugs (serious printing
problems with HP printer, and such funny things as mysterious
disappearing items items in large forms ... we stopped the
rollout of Patch 19 half the way) , and these bugs
will never be fixed 'cause D2K R2.1 is desupported since
    december 1999.
    So choose your fate.
    HTH Schlo
BTW: There is a Patch 11, but it is not worth downloading.

  • Forms 9i intermittent crashes on Windows XP

We have a Forms 9i application that used to run fine when the users had Windows 2000 on their P.C.s. However, since the users moved to Windows XP on their P.C.s they experience intermittent crashes of the webforms. Sometimes these crashes are accompanied by a java error in the java console, sometimes the java console goes grey and the whole browser locks up.
We have a call open on this with Oracle support and have tried their suggestions of changing various Forms application Server settings with no success. They are still working on our problem, but I would be interested to hear if anyone else has experienced similar problems with Oracle forms on Windows XP and if they found a solution.

This is the error message we get in the Java console - does anyone know what causes this type of Java error:

  • Forms 11G Builder crashes when opening ofgcall65.pll

    Helllo,
when i try to open the library ofgcall65.pll in Forms11 Builder is crashes.
    Also compiling crahses.
Does someone know what the problem is??

I tried to open the headstart library ofgcall65.
I have found the problem, what i did was:
    - converted the ofgcall65.pll to a pld in FORMS10
    - converted the ofgcall65.pld to a pll in FORMS11
    - started forms 11G and opened the ofgcall65.pll
What i saw wast that the package CALENDAR was corrupt. The procedures SETUP and SHOW were not in the package body any more, but created as seperated procedures.
The part of the package body between BEGIN and END (the code that is executed when the package is used) is also created as a seperate procedure.
When i copied the code back to the CALANDAR package body and removed the 'new' createed procedures it complied again.
I have saved the pll and try to reopen it and that also worked.

  • Cannot open form - Reader & Acrobat crash

    Hello,
I am facing a strange issue here on our citrix servers (Win 2008 x64, Citrix PS 4.5)
We have both Acrobat reader 9.4 and Acrobat Std 9.4 installed on the servers (problem occurs with verson 9.3 also)
When we try to open some pdf files  (with either the reader or Acrobat), the window launches, and displays a part of the file, then the app crashes..
Those pdf for which the issue occur all contain forms. I even tried generating a simple pdf form containing one text box, and the problem occurs.
What is strangest is that if i save the file on disk (from say an email), I cannot open it. Consistently. This is always reproduced.
If I logoff, then log back on, I can then consistently open it.
It makes no difference if the file is saved on my desktop (we have roaming profiles), or in my home directory.
This does not affect all pdfs, but all users for some pdfs..
I have tried uninstalling one of the 2 products, but the other one keeps on crashing.
Nothing in the event logs, I tried to procmon, could not spot anything.
Any help would be VERY appreciated
    Vincent

  • A Form when modified crashes - toggling runtime parameters temporarily solves problem

A form is running in Forms 6i. Problem arises whenever user gives us requirement to modify it. Whatever modification we do, the form stops running. In fact it crashes and control goes back to Windows. That is the calling ( menu) form also exits.
However we toggle/change following runtime parameters thru
Tools --> Preferences --> Runtime and it temporarily solves problem.
Buffer Records in File & Array Processing.
However it is not fixed what combination of above parameters actually solves problem. We keep on trying and eventually it is solved.
We want to know waht is this problem and how to resolve it.
Note: The form is developed using SQL for purpose of insert/update/select. Built-in EXECUTE_QUERY is not used in this form.
    Pl. help.

I don4t know if this can help, but
we had problems with database links
    if we defined as db.world
we must put exactly as db.world.
When we use only @db it hanged up.
Out of this we didn4t have similar problems .

  • Calling Graphics from Form the App Crashes

I have a problem when I call Graphics from a Form.
The Graphics file builds dynamically many boxes.
The Form file has a Chart Item with this graphics file (calling it in batch mode.
I have noticed that sometimes, when I click on the chart or when the form builds the graphic the app quits or crashes. (When I run the graphic file alone from Graphics Builder there is no problem)
Has anyone seen this? Any idea? Is it a problem with the memory? Maybe a memory limitation when a form calls a graphics file???
    Thank you.

I have a similar problem, and don't know why, sometimes if I close the graphics runtime there's no problem

  • Form builder 6i crash on compile.

I just recieved a new computer and installed Forms Developer 6i and and tried to compile my forms. Some of my forms compile ok. Other forms, the more complicated ones will crash Forms Builder 6i without any error message.
The Forms and Reports 6i was installed after Forms and Reports 10g was installed.
The version of forms is Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.23.2 (Production)
My new PC is a DELL pentium 4 with 1GB of ram.

    Thanks,

what windows version you using ... .
Inolau not necessarily true... I am using Windows XP SP 1.4, upgraded to newer version of Forms and reports and still had Forms crash... opened SR w/ oracle said I was using desupported version of forms and reports... no luck @ all...
What I ended up doin in reformatting my entire computer and reinstalling all the software again.. i know this can be a pain but if this problem persists after updating to patch 13.. then I would suggest doin the same ... I wasted about 4 weeks trying to figure out a solution and having my help desk support re-image my HD ....

  • Forms 4.5 crashing when switching block

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on this problem. I'm using forms 4.5 and when the form is loading, if someone switches from the master block to the detail block the application crashes. The master block takes a few miliseconds to populate but if anyone tries to switch to the detail block during this population the application freezes and then crashes with an error.
Is this likely to be a bug in my coding or is it something I would need to get a patch for? Can anyone suggest a way to handle this error so the form can continue without errors?
    thanks,
    Ross

  • Forms Developer 9i crash at runtime

    Hello to all,
I am a student learning oracle for a conversion course in IS. I get the following message when running any form after it has successfully compiled: Oracle Forms Designer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
I use Windows XP Pro service pack 2 on a P4 1.6 GHz PC with 512 MB RAM. The oracle version is 'Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production With the Partitioning, OLAP and Oracle Data Mining options
JServer Release 9.2.0.1.0 - Production' and the Oracle 9i Developer Suite version is Release2(9.0.2.0.1)
    Thanks and regards

    Hello,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
I've looked under the directory you mentioned but couldn't find anything 'readable', all i found were machine codes. Could you please suggest a possible file name or extension I should look for?
Also, do you think I might have made a mistake during the installation of the developper suite which may have lead to this problem?
    Thanks

  • DB Trigger firing issue in case of oracle forms session crash

    Hi All,
Oracle DB version: Oracle Database 10g Release 10.2.0.2.0 - Production
Oracle Forms version: (Oracle Developer Suite 10g) 10.1.2.0.2 Production
I am entering some data in the oracle forms and committed the data to database. This form is still open.
By some reasons i get a error as "FRM-92101: There is error during forms server startup" and the forms session gets crashed.
When this event happens i wanted to update the records which are inserted before this error occurred. For this purpose i created a BEFORE LOGOFF ON DATABASE trigger (in SYS user) and declared that transaction as autonomous and performed update and then commit.
But when i get this error in forms runtime session, this trigger doesn't fire and also the records don't get updated.
If i query to v$session view, the session entry is gone because the forms session is crashed.
Can anyone please tell me why this trigger don't get fire when oracle forms session gets crashed? Or is there is any other way to run update statement as soon as the forms session gets crashes?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
please check java runtime console for more issue information.
    Windows:
SystemControl->Java Plugin Ver XXXX -> Standard -> Check "Show Java Console"
In Systray, check the console for information about errors in java after the form error.

  • Form Builder crashes whenever I try to run form locally

    Hello,
I am using Oracle Developer Suite 10g (Forms 9.0.4.0.19) on Windows XP SP3, IE8.
Whenever I try to execute (run) form from Forms Builder locally Forms Builder just crashes (get error: Oracle Forms Designer has encountered a problem and needs to close ).
    Any help please
    Best regards.

First, the Builder crashing has nothing to do with what browser you are using. The Builder crashing is a Builder issue. It is possible that the Builder is crashing due to a corrupted installation or permissions issue at the OS level. It could also be a bug. So, as I mentioned already, it may be time to upgrade to a more 21st century version of the product or at least consider applying a current patch to what you have. Patches are only available to customers with access to MyOracleSupport.
