Found a fix for this: Unable to open Itunes Store on windows XP

Hi,
     I have been searching for this all weekend. For the last month we have been unable to connect to Itunes store. We can connect to the Internet and also access to itunes itself. I have phoned Apple as well as our service provider. No luck with the solutions offered. I have uninstalled and downloaded it again. I have done the winsock suggestion. I have disabled the firewall solution. I have gone into security settings and clicked enable the miscellaneous part. I have run as administrator. Basically everything from this forum and numerous others and also from advice from apple and my service provider. NOTHING WORKED for me on this computer. However on my Laptop which is vista the winsock fix did work. Still didn't solve my desktop until I found another solution and tried. Blow me down it worked. 2 days and hooray.....finally. I found this on a Geek website called "geeks to go" and I have cut and pasted it from there.
This is it.
Copy and paste the text in the code box below into Notepad.

Hope this one helps anyone out there that has tried most of the other fixes. No bugs or viruses from this...so far.

each tab has a different name, so, even if it did, it
ought to give the printouts the name of the tabs.
It doesn't print each page as a separate job unless the orientation is different - that's the bug. And the name of the job is taken from the name of the window, not the name of the tabs. That's how every application works, which, I think, is why Excel allows the specific selection or the active sheets to be printed.
Still, that does sound like a plausible explanation.
However, even if presented with multiple prints with
the same name, the spooler should print each one!
The spooler does print each one - you can watch the spooler process the multiple jobs. I think, though, that they are being overwritten since all the jobs have the name of the window as the job title. And since this happens after the Save Dialog is presented, there's really nothing the application can do. To Excel, it's one job, the multiple orientations don't matter; it's just that Apple doesn't handle it correctly.
As a workaround, you can print the selections one at a time and give them unique names and then rejoin them in one PDF file.

Unable to open ITunes stores using my IPAD & download videos

Hi,
I purchased IPAD in Hong Kong apple stores and i reside in India. I have changed my location to India and also provided account information and credit card details of India.
When i try to open ITUNES stores from my IPAD it says " CANNOT CONNECT TO ITUNES STORES" and i am unable to download videos too through the stores. It says "Download error". I am keen on watching movies and TV shows by downloading it from the stores.
This is the first time i have APPLE product and i do not have much knowledge on this product.
Could someone please help me on this.

"Sign into iTunes Account" prompt popping up for everything & unable to access iTunes Store?

After I updated to 11.1.5 on my Mac (Running 10.9.2) every time I try to do something, be it listen to iTunes Radio, update apps, view my account in the iTunes store, download a new app, etc. I get the "Sign into iTunes Account" prompt repeatedly. Regardless if I enter the correct password or not it will continuously pop up not allowing me to do whatever I'm trying to do. I've tried signing out/signing back in and deauthorizing/authorizing my computer and haven't had any luck in getting any of these functions to work.

ITunes 11.1.2 error when opening iTunes Store on windows 8.1 64b

After updating iTunes to version 11.1.2 is giving error when accessing the iTunes Store and the program and ended.

Same issue. Win 8.1 64-bit. iTunes 11.1.2.31 Everything else seems to work fine, but when attempting to open the iTunes Store, error message "iTunes has stopped working". It happens whether or not I'm signed in to my AppleID account. My computer is 'authorized'.

After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

Cannot open iTunes Store in windows 8

I have tried every suggestion I have found on the forum so far including: uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes, deleting host content, copying .dll files, deleting .Net programs, disabling all services and start up programs with exception of windows related to have a clean boot. All attempts failed. I tried to download Autoruns for windows from Microsoft but the file always arrives corrupted. I think something is conflicting but don't know what. Everything worked ok prior to this recent ITunes upgrade. I tried to load earlier version but was advised that I could not access my library has it had been read by a later version.
I think it is disgusting that Apple put out what are potentially Beta level upgrades and leave us the community to sort out the consequences. It it was not for my IPad upgrades etc I would seriously abandon using ITunes. Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to load itunes store in windows 7 64bit

Hi, installed 10.5... on Windows 7, 64bit machine and now cannot access Itunes Store. Appears to begin loading then stalls out. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. since getting windows 8.1, I cannot access iTunes store. I get a message saying that the network connection was terminated unexpectedly. I AM able to get iTunes with my Ipad, my laptop with windows Vista and even my I touch, so it Cannot be a connection problem. Help!! thanks. dpru

/dev/sequencer does not exist --- Found a fix for this !!!!!

Hi guys i used to be able to play midi files and load sf2 into my audigy 2 platinum card. But last week i upgraded my system which was a 2.4 kernel and since then i get /dev/sequencer no such device.
I bit the bullet and upgraded to the 2.6-scsi kernel.
Got my sound working under alsa but still if i use sfxload i get /dev/sequencer no such device.
Now i know its there in /dev/sequencer becuase i checked the links etc.

Also i have tried reloading alsa to no avail.
I have audio just no sequencer audio using my sound fonts.
Even tried rebuilding awesfx.
HELP PLEASE...

Just thought id post this fix to my problem in case someone else has a similar nightmare.
I was reading through the wiki when i saw the usb midi page . Now my keyboard is not usb but still it can't hurt i thought.
And guess what i got my sound fonts to load again and my midi keyboard working.
Carefully went through all the options i had entered in the terminal to find that it was "aconnect -i" that did the trick for me so i entered this in my rc.local and rebooted to see if my midi still worked.
Hey presto i've got sound fonts and midi everytime now .

Lion crashes when using Firefox and Safari, have found a fix for this. I can't believe they would just let us hang. Very frustrated.

Found the fix for Apple TV dissapearing from iTunes 10

After hours of searching the boards and trying things on my own (router, firewall,etc.), I stumbled across the solution that fixed my problem of my Applet TV 1st Gen not showing up in iTunes anymore after a couple of years of working flawlessly.
Hopefully this will help someone else out as well.
I uninstalled the current version of Bonjour, and installed a previous version.
Apple TV pops up immediately.
Not sure what changed, but something is different in the newer version of Bonjour that does not play nicely with Win 7 and iTunes 10.
Hope this helps and saves someone some of the time I spent trying to get mine back.

Sounds good, can you post a link to the old version of Bonjour that still works? Was it installed on Win 7 32-bit or 64-bit?

Is the SC Info folder there?
If so, try deleting the entire SC Info folder. Can you launch iTunes now?
