Function list for pl/sql package script in file editor

Hello,
i am editing a pl/sql package file in the editor an run this script to activate my changes. is there an possibility to see the functions and procedures list which exists in this file ?
Regards
Sascha

No, you have to use the PL/SQL editor for that, so once you have your code in the DB, open it through the navigator tree.
FWIW, there's a request to use the same editor for file based PL/SQL at the Exchange, where you can vote on (http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42626:39:966831210668515::NO::P39_ID:3262).
This will enable procedure breakdown, run/debug, clickable compilation errors, ...

  • Creating Web services using JDeveloper for Pl/SQL package having ref cursor

    Hi,
    I am trying to create web services for PL/SQL package in JDeveloper. When I am trying to create this web service, the functions in the package which is returning referential cursor or record cursor are not visible. When I highlight the function and click "Why Not?", it displays the message "The following types used by the program unit do not have an XML schema mapping and/or serializer Specified: REF CURSOR". Could you please let me know, how I can create this web service?
    I am getting similar error when I am trying to create web service for a package with overloaded functions also.
    Thanks,

    Ok so I played around with this some more. I created the same process in bpel using oracle bpel designer and here are the results.
    1. Against 10g database running a synch process data is retutned without error.
    2. Against 9i database running an asynch process data is retutned without error.
    3. Against 9i database running a synch process data is retutned with error.
    I'm definilty missing something.

  • How to generate WebServices for PL/SQL Packages

    I have the following issue trying to generate WS for a selected set of operations within a PL/SQL package
    If I use the option -sql PKG_TEST then I am getting all operations within a package.
    I just want to expose a certain number of procedures ( e.g. PROC1 and PROC2 )
    It works only if I specify
    -sql PKG_TEST(PROC1)
    when I use -sql PKG_TEST(PROC1, PROC2) it gives me errors.
    I have Oracle JDeveloper (10.1.3.2) (Build 4066) .
    I used wsa with an plsqlAssemble option
    java -jar wsa.jar -plsqlAssemble
    -appName myApp
    -packageName myPckg
    -sql PKG_TEST(PROC1)
    -dataSource jdbc/ds
    -dbConnection jdbc:oracle:thin:@zzzz:1521:mydb -dbUser user/passw
    -style rpc
    -use literal

    Eric,
    Thanks a lot for your help.
    I was able to follow all of your recommendations
    I was able to produce the single ear file for multiple PL/SQL packages .
    Now I have the last step ( I hope :-) - WS-SECURITY
    What is your recomendation for Security - specifically for WebServices for PL/SQL Packages ?
    I would like to do the following:
    CLIENT CODE:
    * Create a XML element with user name, password, &
    * datasource as child elements.
    * Element will look like this:
    * <credetials>
    * <username>scott</username>
    * <password>tiger</password>
    * <datasource>jdbc/OracleCoreDS</datasource>
    * </credentials>
    Document doc = new XMLDocument();
    Element elAdd = doc.createElement( "credentials");
    Element elA = doc.createElement( "username");
    Element elB = doc.createElement("password");
    Element elC = doc.createElement("datasource");
    elA.appendChild(doc.createTextNode("scott"));
    elB.appendChild(doc.createTextNode("tiger"));
    elC.appendChild(doc.createTextNode("jdbc/OracleCoreDS"));;
    elAdd.appendChild(elA);
    elAdd.appendChild(elB);
    elAdd.appendChild(elC);
    doc.appendChild(elAdd);
    Element e = doc.getDocumentElement();
    // Create an intance of the proxy
    EmployeeProxy proxy = new EmployeeProxy();
    // Create a Header objecy
    Vector v = new Vector();
    v.add (e);
    Header hdr = new Header();
    hdr.setHeaderEntries(v);
    // Set the Header
    proxy._setSOAPRequestHeaders(hdr);
    SERVER CODE:
    public void processHeaders(Header header)
    throws java.io.IOException,
    oracle.xml.parser.v2.XSLException
    // Get all the Elements
    Vector entries = header.getHeaderEntries();
    Element e = (Element) entries.firstElement();
    System.out.println("Element received from SOAP header is: " );
    ((XMLElement)e).print(System.out);
    // Get independent nodes and retrieve node values.
    Node userNode;
    userNode = ((XMLNode)e).selectSingleNode("username");
    userName = ((XMLElement)userNode).getText();
    Node passwordNode;
    passwordNode = ((XMLNode)e).selectSingleNode("password");
    password = ((XMLElement)passwordNode).getText();
    Node dsNode;
    dsNode = ((XMLNode)e).selectSingleNode("datasource");
    datasourceName = ((XMLElement)dsNode).getText();
    System.out.println("User name is: " + userName);
    System.out.println("Password is: " + password);
    System.out.println("Datasource is: " + datasourceName);
    How can this be done with the generated code using wsa tool ?
    Any other suggestions ?
    Thanks,
    Michael

  • Read the requirments list for a sequence in a sequence file

    Hi,
    How can i read the requirments list for a sequence in a sequence file.
    i used the below code for that but am getting "requirments" string.
    SequenceContext seqctx = e.uiMsg.Thread.GetSequenceContext(0, outframeid);
    if(seqctx.PreviousStepIndex >= 0)
    Step prvstp = seqctx.PreviousStep;
    String SeqTestID = prvstp.Sequence.Requirements.Name;
    Thanks in advance

    From the TS Help:
    """Requirements Property (Read Only)
    Syntax
    Step.Requirements
    Data Type
    PropertyObject
    Purpose
    Returns the Requirements property for the step. The Links subproperty of the Requirements property is an array of string values that represents the product and unit requirements the step covers.
    Remarks
    You can use the following pseudo code to add a new element to the list of requirements:
    PropertyObject links = step.Requirements.GetPropertyObject("Links", 0);
    int nextAvailableIndex = links.GetNumElements();
    links.SetValStringByOffset(nextAvailableIndex, PropertyOptions.PropOption_InsertElement, "REQ_ABC");"""
    Instead of SetValStringByOffset use Step.Requirements.GetPropertyObject("Links",0x0).GetValStringByOffset(0,0x0).  Also, you don't have to get the nextAvailableIndex if you know which index you want.  If you want all indices then you will have to iterate.

  • Generating Java wrappers for PL/SQL Packages in JDeveloper 3.1

    I have not been successful in using JD3.1 to generate java classes for use in calling PL/SQL packages from a Java Servlet I am developing. I have followed the directions under the 'Generating Java Code for Oracle Objects and PL/SQL Packages' help topic: I display the package in the database browser window, right click on the package, select 'Generate Java', and click 'OK' on the pop-up JPublisher window that appears. The wizard clocks out for a few moments, then the JPublisher window disappears, but the java class is not added to JDeveloper's Navigation pane for the Project and Package I specified in the wizard.
    Any idea where the generated class is going to?

    should be, but isn't... JDeveloper3.1
    (build 681) default install... Is it in
    a custom package I didn't install? Or
    am I just a dumb nut?Hmm.. I thought it was in there.. JPub is a java based tool. You can invoke it as such.
    1st, use setvars.bat from your jdeveloper/bin directory.
    2nd, run java oracle.jpub.java.Main (pass it the same arguments as you would the jpub.exe)
    Here's the output from my machine here:
    D:\JDeveloper31\bin>setvars D:\JDeveloper31
    Setting JDeveloper 1.2 runtime environment to "D:\JDeveloper31"
    Setting JDK version 1.2 in "D:\JDeveloper31\java1.2"

  • Enforcing Node Affinity for PL/SQL Packages???

    Dear fellow dbas,
    we have a random performance problem on one of our 11gR1 RAC databases due to io waits.
    In fact, we tracked down the problem and noticed that sql packages are executed on node 1 causing bad times and were executed on node 2 with good results.
    Now the question is how can we enforce these pl/sql packages, which are called via external batch jobs, to be executed on node 2?
    Instance affinity came to my mind but I have no clue whatsoever how to apply it for packages and embedded pl/sql code.
    Can you please give me an advice?
    Thanks for your feedback!
    Best regards,
    Sebastian

    You need to define a service to run preferably on node 2 with failover to node 1, and give a your batch jobs a connect string that connects to that service:
    srvctl add service -d whatever -s batchserv -r node2 -a node1
    and in your tnsnames.ora,
    batchserv=
    (description=
        (address_list=
             (failover=on)(load_balance=on)
             (address=(node1....)(address=(node2...))
         (connect_data=(service_name=batchserv))

  • Where do I find the NI-DAQ function list for a specific card.

    I trying to find a reference where I look up a card ID and it lists the NI-DAQ functions that work FOR THAT CARD ONLY!
    Example: The PXI-4472 DSA card shows that it supports STC timer/counter functions (like GPCTR_Control()) when you search by card in NI-DAQ Help. But in reality, none of the functions work correctly, even though the function call doesn't return a status error.
    Is there a place to find an accurate cross-reference so I don't keep programming my card thinking it's working correctly when it's not?

    Hi,
    Hopefully I can clear up your question. DAQmx is designed to work across all E-Series, DIO, and DSA boards with the same VIs. Traditional DAQ sometimes needs separate VIs for separate boards which can become rather confusing and thus one reason for the driver redesign.
    There are some exceptions with the DSA boards though.
    The 4472 uses the DAQ-STC chip just as you mentioned, but the full functionality of the counters are not available as they are with E-Series boards.
    There are a few things to keep in mind.
    #1) The STC has two counters, 0 and 1. If you synchronize 4472s, you will only be able to use counter 1. The driver claims counter 0 for special trigger delay operations.
    #2) The 4472 counters have no physical connections to the "o
    utside world." The EXT TRIG pin on the 4472, sometimes called PFI0, cannot be used to do anything with the counters. It cannot be a gate or source for the counter. The only pins you can use for gate, source, or output on the counters are the RTSI lines. This certainly limits the utility of the counters.
    #3) Because so few customers have expressed a need for it, we have removed DSA counter access in DAQmx. If you program the 4472 (or 4461) in DAQmx, the DAQ-STC counters will not be available at all.
    The DAQ-STC was included on the 4472 for some timing and triggering functionality aside from the counters (similiar to some of the jobs it performs on the E series cards). The counters are really an afterthought that came along with the chip.... they are not at all the primary reason for the STC being there.
    Hope this helps!

    Is the history tab trying to do something that is not yet being shipped with EA2?

    Thanx and Regrads,

    Hi Vishnu,
    According to your description, you want to list all countries, states and cities, right?
    I have tested it on my local environment, here is a sample script for you reference.
    select
    [dbo].[Country].[CountryId]
    , [dbo].[Country].[CountryName]
    , [dbo].[State].[StateId]
    , [dbo].[State].[StateName]
    , [dbo].[City].[CityId]
    , [dbo].[City].[CityName]
    from
    [dbo].[Country]
    left join [dbo].[State] on [dbo].[Country].[CountryId]=[dbo].[State].[CountryId]
    left join [dbo].[City] on [dbo].[State].[StateId]=[dbo].[City].[StateId]

  • Creating SQL-Loader script for more than one table at a time

    Hi,
    I am using OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 with Oracle 8.1.7 and Sybase 11.9.
    It looks like I can create SQL-Loader scripts for all the tables
    or for one table at a time. If I want to create SQL-Loader
    scripts for 5-6 tables, I have to either create script for all
    the tables and then delete the unwanted tables or create the
    scripts for one table at a time and then merge them.
    Is there a simple way to create migration scripts for more than
    one but not all tables at a time?
    Thanks,
    Prashant Rane

    No there is no multi-select for creating SQL-Loader scripts.
    You can either create them separately or create them all and
    then discard the one you do not need.

  • Urgent:JPublisher's default typemapping for PL/SQL Boolean not working

    I have a procedure that accepts a boolean.
    I have created this procedure on 2 oracle database installations. One is on Oracle8i and the other on Oracle9i.
    I invoke JPublisher with the following jpub.properties file:
    jpub.user=scott/tiger
    jpub.url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@database:1521:oracle
    jpub.dir=C:\Jpub
    jpub.package=BooleanMapping
    jpub.plsqlmap=always
    jpub.plsqlfile=C:\Jpub\BoolProc.sql
    jpub.plsqlpackage=BoolWrapper
    jpub.adddefaulttypemap=BOOLEAN:boolean:INTEGER:SYS.SQLJUTL.INT2BOOL:SYS.SQLJUTL.BOOL2INT
    This is the output of JPublisher from SCOTT schema in 8i and 9i databases respectively:
    Output from 8i:
    J2T-137, WARNING: mapping BOOLEAN:boolean was redefined to BOOLEAN:boolean.
    SCOTT.<top-level scope>
    Output from 9i:
    J2T-137, WARNING: mapping BOOLEAN:boolean was redefined to BOOLEAN:boolean.
    SCOTT.<top-level scope>
    J2T-138, NOTE: Wrote PL/SQL package BoolWrapper to file C:\Jpub\BoolProc.sql
    Why is the PL/SQL wrapper file not created in case of Oracle8i database?
    Is there a way to enable this?
    NB: I had to do a few workarounds to make this happen on 8i database.
    I copied over the .jar library files from sqlj folder from 9iHome to 8iHome. I also copied the jpub.exe from the bin folder. This is because the JPublisher in 8i does not accept addtypemap, defaulttypemap kind of arguments.

    Alex,
    For the predicate groups that are indexed/stored, the exact operator types (as in equality, inequality, like etc) that are indexed are specified while assigning the default index parameters. In the following example, exf$indexoper is used to specify the list of indexed operators.
    BEGIN
      DBMS_EXPFIL.DEFAULT_INDEX_PARAMETERS('Car4Sale',
        exf$attribute_list (
           exf$attribute (attr_name => 'HorsePower(Model, Year)',
                          attr_oper => exf$indexoper('=','<','>','>=','<='),
                          attr_indexed => 'FALSE')    --- stored predicate group
    END;
    /You can find more information about exf$indexoper at
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/appdev.111/b28419/t_expfilobj.htm#ARPLS153
    Could you confirm that you chose to index 'is null' and 'is not null' while assigning the default index parameters ? This information is available in OPERATOR_LIST column of the USER_EXPFIL_DEF_INDEX_PARAMS view.
    Hope this helps,
    -Aravind.
