  • Error in Funds Mgmt.

    Hello Sapients,
    We are currently upgrading to ECC 6 from 4.7(public sector).
    Getting an error "No funds center entered/delivered in item 00001
    (msg #FI313)" in MIGO. Suggest a work around.

    Assign a fund centre in the commitment item of GRIR account and use the commitment item function module in FMDERIVE to read the fund ctr from the commitment item

  • Change fund mgmt period

    we have f. y  from april to march and f.m period from april to march. how can we change this period to sept to oct. we have already done this by hit and trial. but i need some steps to know that what we have done is correct or not. and if not then what are the correct steps to change the fm period succesfully.

  • Statistical Posting for PS settlement in Funds Management ECC 6.0

    Hi people
    Previously in 4.6C, WBS settlement (CJ88) will result in statistical posting in Funds Mgmt.
    But now after upgrade to ECC 6.0, it is now considered as actual posting.
    I know there is setting under FMCIA where you can set certain commitment item to be a statistical commitment item but we don't want to do that since the commitment is being used for other situation where we do want it to be an actual posting.
    Anybody know how to solve this.

    Hi,
    You can manage it easily via FMDERIVE functionalities. Define a rule, where depending on busniess transaction (KOAO), the derived commitment item will be a statistical one (the other one, from what you use for regular postings).

    How to change fund managment period from existing (APRIL TO MARCH) TO OCT TO SEPTEMBER.
    WE ARE TRYING TO CHANGE THAT USING
    public cector mgmt
    fund mgmnt govt
    basic setting
    fiscal year setting
    define fiscal year setting
    there we have v3 as april to march and
    v9 as oct to sept
    originally we had assigned v3 to Financial year and to fund mgmt period both.
    but now we want to assign v9 to fund mgmt period.
    But system is not allowing us to do that. How can we achive it and what are the reasons for errors.

    If you already post to FM then you can't change the FY variant. The only way I see is:
    A) Delete all posting.
    B) Change the setting
    C) Reload by "subsequent" transactions.
    In case you direct post to FM (E.G budget) you have to reenter. Alternativerly, if you have mass data you entered, write a small program that download the line items and reload after the changes (you can use CATT or ECATT to load the flat file you create).

    Have difficulties to find FM table name. I need to link from EBAN/EBKN to Fund Mgmt table thru PR printing report.
    Currently we are in release SAP47.
    Is there any Function module that I can use to expediate the processing time?

  • Error while defining derivation rules in FMDERIVE

    We are currently on ECC6. While defining Funds Mgmt .... activated the derivation rules in FMRULES. But when I try to define the derivation rules in FMDERIVE .. I get the following error:  Syntax error in program "RFMDERIVE003 ".

    is it possible to have a derivation rule where we can define for budgeting purpose that if we are using a particular cost center we could use only a particular commitment code only.

  • Tolerances in SRM extended classic scenario

    Hi all,
    I have a question regarding tolerances in extended classic scenario and I hope that somebody could help me.
    We use extended classic scenario. The tolerance group is attached to TOG attribute in PPOMA_BBP, tolerance key is DQ.
    We also tried to use tolerance key CF, but it seems as if CF is not applicable for GR?
    However, whenever we try to confirm more than PO quantity, we get an error message. “PO Ordered quantity exceeded by 1 EA“
    It seems so that SRM has a ‘double’ tolerance check
    • one in SRM against defined tolerance (via attribute TOG)
    • one in R/3 against the PO tolerance
    Now my question: Is this the expected behaviour or a bug? We do not want to maintain two tolerances. And furthermore most of the time we have PO’s without a material master. Are there any possibilities to skip the PO tolerance check?

    Hi Friends,
    I created 3 tolerance profiles for FM and I am unable to assign these profiles to AVC ledger 9H.
    Kindly assist me how to achieve this one and How can I exempt some commitment items from Budget checking.

    Are you getting a particular error message when assigning the tolerance profile in the settings below?
    Public Sector Mgmt, Funds Mgmt, Government, BCS, BCS Availability Control, Settings for Availabiity Control Ledger, Assign Tolerance profiles.
    We accomplished the exemption of some committment items such as depreciation by creating a tolerance profile ABCD with a message type Information and usage rate percdent of 999.00. Under the section Settings for Availability Control Ledger, go into define derivation strategy for tolerance profiles and create a derivation strategy that derives the constant tolerance profile ABCD based on the conditions entered (committment item = XXXXXXXX) for example.

  • Commitments Mgmt to track Purchase Orders

    Hello FI Specialists,
    We have MM, we would like to implement commitments Mgmt so that we can track them thru our Internal order report and track our budget exposure.
    Does anyone knows what are the procedures? as to what I need to activate in FI in order to start seeing them in all internal order reports?

    Hi,
    I don't think you can use Internal Orders for your scenario.
    You need to activate funds management and either use BCS or Former budgeting concepts,
    In this you have the option of triggering budgets agaisnt PR, POs.

  • Funds Management and Fiscal Year Variant Change

    Hello !
    We are configuring a new fiscal year variant.
    Currently, the system is on a CALENDAR YEAR FY variant and we are doing the following:
    1. creating a shortened FY of Jan 2009 - Mar 2009
    2. new fiscal year from April 2009 - Mar 2010
    We are trying to change the FY variant for Funds Management via OF15 but receive the error FI674.
    FI674:
    You must not change the fiscal year variant in Cash Budget Management or Funds Management for FM area FM01 if actual data already exists for FM area FM01, or if one or more of the company codes assigned to FM area FM01 is active.
    We have found oss note 719597 which details how to change the FY variant for Cash Budget Mgmt, but it does not apply to Funds management.
    I could find no other supporting documentation.
    Can anyone guide us as to how to deal with this issue?

    Hello Patti,
    The point is that it is not possible to change fiscal year variant if actual values exists.
    You are trying to do a change in January. You probably have some postings in 2009 already.
    In the area of PSM-FM there is no note like 719597 of TR-CB.
    Only if no actual values exist, this customizing change would be possible and reasonable.
    If you are doing this setting in your customizing client, you can delete the postings (please DO NOT do it if you are in production) that exist in 2009 and try again.
    SAP do not recommend to change a Fiscal Year Variant that has already been assigned to a company code and has already some postings. This may  create database inconsistencies.
    You can create another Fiscal Year Variant with the information that you want to be customize, and this variant you will be able to assign to a company code. Before you assign this new variant to a company
    code please be sure that none of the information that you already posted in this company code will be affected, this information you may review it with your consultant on-site.
    Also please review/apply note 173636, 202687, 10945, 193713, 123026, 210861 which may happen in your system.
    The fiscal period is related to the posting date via the fiscal year variant. E.g.: I you do a posting on 5.5.2009 it will be posted e.g. in period 5 for fiscal year variant 'A'. This period is not only used in the document header table (BKPF,VBRK,MKPF ...) but also in several balance table (GLT0, KNC1 ...) not only in FI but also in SD, MM, CO .... If in the new  fiscal year variant 'B' this posting date is related to another period e.g. 7 the relation between documents and Periods and balances will be destroyed.
    The problem will be enhanced if the posting-date would be related to diffrent fiscal years.
    In addition several reports in AP/AR and GL reread period-depend data by selecting the posting-date regardless of the period in the document because it's not normal practise to change the fiscal year variant of a company code.
    Some of the involved issues are:
    - FM actuals and commitments may need to be reconstructed if their period- (or even fiscal year-) assignments is changed.
    - FM actuals/commitments can not be reconstructed if fiscal year change activities have already been performed (commitment carry forward, FMJ1, FMJ2).
    - Budgeting data and assigned values may principally be concerned as well, especially if you are working with period values in budgeting.
    The change of fiscal year variant has several implications and should be analyzed very carefully.
