Commitments Mgmt to track Purchase Orders

Hello FI Specialists,
We have MM, we would like to implement commitments Mgmt so that we can track them thru our Internal order report and track our budget exposure.
Does anyone knows what are the procedures? as to what I need to activate in FI in order to start seeing them in all internal order reports?
Thank You for your help,

Hi,
I don't think you can use Internal Orders for your scenario.
You need to activate funds management and either use BCS or Former budgeting concepts,
In this you have the option of triggering budgets agaisnt PR, POs.

  • Customizing Track Purchase Order Fiori Application

    Hi,
We have configured a standard "Track Purchase Order" Fiori application.
We want to change the Default Filter Criteria from "Last 7days" to "Last 30 days". Is there any configuration available, where we can change this?
    Regards,
    Yuvraj

    Hi Yuvraj,
You can achieve this by extending controller S2Custom.controller.js .
Change the default  declaration to:To display  last 30 days items by default
    sFilterLastNDays : 30,
      sFilterWithAlerts : false,
      sSearchText : "",
      sFilterKey : "FILTER30",
      oFilterDialog : null,
and change the default setting of init method to: to set the default filter from 7 days to 30 days
    this.oFilterDialog.setSelectedPresetFilterItem("FILTER30");

  • Tracking Purchase orders to accounts payable

What would be the best way for an auditor to use ERP to ensure the accounts payable are completely recorded. how can he/she efficiently match up purchase orders with accounts payable? is there a way one can ask the ERP a query and it can return any purchase orders that DO NOT have a corresponding accounts payable?

    Hi,
When you use G/R or service entry sheets the open values are on your g/l account GR/IR. The completed ones are cleared out.

  • Manual Purchase Orders & getting Pegging Info

    Hi Experts,
    I've 2 questions -
    1. I want to track Purchase Orders that were manually created in ECC, of sub-con type, in SCM/APO, once they get CIF'd out . How do I??
    2. Also, I've found a couple of function modules that can retrieve the pegging info, however not clear of the Import parameters to retrieve the data. What i want to do is for my Planned/Production Orders, want to get the pegged demand's info (Sales Ord, STO, Dep Dem) like Reqt Date/Time. System asks for Sim version.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello,
    1) I am not sure if you can distinguish such orders in APO ,however I think such type of orders can be distinguished with the user in the queue. The difference should be normal user and RFC user , not sure please check.
    2) Which functional module you are using to get the pegging data. I think you need to set the value for 'Sim version' as '000'.
        Please check and confirm.

  • Tracking of information in a Purchase Order

    Hi,
Can anyone explain how to put and track the below mentioned information in a Purchase Order?
ETS (Expected Time of Shipment by Vendor)
ETA (Expected Time of Arrival of goods at Customer location)
    Advance Payment made to Vendor
    Thanks in advance

You can use confirmation control in PO for tracking
    1. OMGZ to Configure Confirmation control.
Here you can specify the order in which you expect confirmations from your vendors.
    2. MK02 - to assign Confirmation Control to Vendor in Purchasing View.
    3. To view acknowledgments that have been received,
in PO choose Item --> Confirmations --> Overview
To track downpayment - check this out
    advance payment against PO

  • Track documents based on a purchase order

    Hi,
One of my customers asked me yesterday if there is a good way to follow the steps from a purchase order to goods reciept and AP invoice? If you have a large purchase order with many items and only a few of them are copied to goods reciept PO at a time, and you have several goods reciepts PO and many invoices. How can one best track all of these documents and get a good overview?
I tried using Drag & Relate, but it's not good enough to get the whole picture. So I would really appreciate if you have some tips, or if there could be a way to create a report for which documents are based on a purchase order.
    Best regards,
    Lena-Marie

Hello Lena-Marie - welcome to the forum.  You might want to start with this and add some more into and/or change the WHERE clause to pull up the information you need.   Such as T2.DocNum =
This SQL was restricted to display only some open items...
If you need more help changing this particular SQL, just contact me directly through my business card's alternative...

  • Tracking Downpayment in Purchase Order

    Hi,
Are there any ways to track downpayment(via FI) made in advance in the purchase order that raise later?
    Thanks,
    CW

    CW,
Down payment requests and down payments are special general ledger transactions. These transactions are not posted to the G/L account mentioned in the customer master record but to an alternative G/L account.
Alternative reconciliation accounts for posting the down payment requests and the down payments.
    The process flow is
    1. Down payment request ( F-37 - not part of double entry book keeping)
    2. Down payment ( F-29 - Dr Bank a/c(customer incoming payments) - Cr Alternative reconciliation account)
    3. Invoice (FB70) - system outputs the message saying a down payment exists
    4. Down payment clearing ( F-39)
    5. Payment and clearing ( F-39)
However note that unlike partial payments, down payments are reported separately in the balance sheet.
Hope that helps - Let me know if you need any help.
    Thanks,
    Nandita

  • Shipments/ Delivery Document tracking with Purchase Order

    Dear all,
Please help me in finding all the shipments accessed against Purchase order or Delivery document information with the help of Purchase order.
Is it possible to track either of them using PO?
    Please help....
    Thanks & Regards,
    Deepthi.

This is the sales forum, not purchasing forum.
You might be able to find something in EKBE table for PO. Also check the reference document field LIPS-VGBEL on the delivery. In sales it usually contains the sales order number, not sure if it will have the PO number for the inbound delivery. If not, check other fields in LIPS.
There is no direct link between shipments and orders. You'll need to find the delivery first and then the shipments for it. Delivery numbers will be in VTTP-VBELN, VTTP-TKNUM is the shipment number.

  • Purchase orders Co commitments

    Hi
I am looking at a blanket purchase order but with out the item category. I am not sure where exactly the value limit is specified. The Account Assignment category used is CCtr/ Internal Order. If I see CO commitments in the purchase orders, where could the value limit be defined probably.
    Thanks
    Aparna

    Hi,
blanket purchase orders have item category B.
I suppose that you would like to specify limits in your PO. You can use the normal document type (NB) and item category D as well to enter those limits. In both cases (item categories B and D) you will get the tab limits to enter your limit values. With the item category normal the limits tab is not available in ME21N.
Commitments are set up in the amount of the EXPECTED VALUE. The  commitments creation generally occurs for the delivery date.

  • Tracking Sub contracting Purchase Order

    Hi ,
We have a Subcontracting Purchase Order.
The users have created a delivery from ME2O and PGied it.
They have forgot the PO number for which they have created the delivery and PGied..
How can we track the subcontracting PO if we know the LB delivery type number??
Can anyone let me know ??
    Thanks

    Hello, Srikanth
There is another way to findout the (if you forget the PO number for which Delivery and PGI is done).
    How,
instead of Delivery document type (i mean LB for SC-PO)
you can try with Item catagory (i.e, L is for Subcontracting) or with several options like, PO Tracking number and Delivery date also through t.code: ME2B
    (i.e, PO by tracking number)
Suggestion: Because, anyhow you or the user (SC PO processer) might be knowing that the delivery is for Subcontracting PO.
    then
based on Item catagory (i.e, item catagorey L is for Subcontracting) he can list the SC PO. Try with that.
    Hope this will clarifies you,
    Reward, if it helps,
    Regards,
    Srin.K

  • Final Invoice not releasing purchase order commitments

    Hi Experts,
We recently upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6 and have had reports of commitments not longer being released when the Final Invoice is flagged on Service purchase orders.  This is causing many issues since they can no longer flag the last service entry as "Final" because the invoice has already paid.
Out User's have become dependent on this process so please help.  I have looked in OSS but cannot find anything referring to this issue.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance,
    Stella Cook
    Tesoro Companies Inc.

    Hi Kiran,
I think that there is some user exit getting called in place where you have issues. Ideally the final invoice should never check the order as the order can be in teco during invoicing.
I suggest you to debug it using your ABAPer as the signs are of some code inconsistency. The results are different when you directly click the final invoice and click after once seeing the account assignment,
    Regards
