Gamer Club Unlocked for sale online?

I tried using my coupon in the store for $60.00 off and after about an hour of managers and calling best buy, getting transferred 6 times, and finally I was told to go online and order Gamers Club Unlocked and then call back and they could credit me the $60.00, I can't seem to find it for sale online... does anyone know if that is even possible? At least the cahier Brian bought me a soda..

I am sorry to hear of the trouble you had with your Unlocked discount coupon.  It does sound as though there may have been some user error on the part of the store associate assisting you in your check-out process.
I have replied to your private message, but as BrianJason mentioned, Gamers Club Unlocked can only be purchased in-store.  As you had a manager there aware of your situation and offering assistance I would recommend you return and speak with him or her.
Thank you for being a My Best Buy member.  I hope the store is able to assist you in getting Unlocked as you had desired.

  • Can't pay off pre-order to join Gamer Club Unlocked in weekly ad?

    So I got the Best Buy ad this moring in the paper and saw the "Join Gamers Club Unlocked for $30 when you buy any new game $39.99 or above." Knowing I still had 3 preorders outstanding, I called up the Rewards Zone 866 number and asked them if I would be able to take my preorder in and just pay it in full to satisfy the requirement so I could join. Of course is what I was told and just to take my pre-order receipt into customer service. 
    I head into Best Buy in Castleton, Indiana (#229) and head to customer service as told with the ad and explain I called the RZ 866 number and they told me to bring it to them. After the lady handling the registered called someone, he told me that it would be no problem and he would just have to cancel my preorder and then to just pull the game card and one of the Gamers Club Unlocked cards and the register would take care of it. 
    Then that is when everything went South. 
    I hand the individual the two cards and he proceeds to tell me I could join the GCU for $30 when I buy a game. When I told him I wanted to pay in full for the game he told me I could not do that because "it's two different systems." I explained that I had already spoken to the RZ folks as well as customer service and then he told me "well I should know, I'm the video games guy." I then told him I would just come home and call the RZ folks again, asked for his name and store number which he gave me in a smug tone and I left. As I was walking out the sliding glass doors he said "have a nice day" in a condescending tone. That set me off. I turned and asked the security guy for a manager to complain about the terrible customer service and attitude and the manager was apathetic in helping me. After explaining what I was trying to do, he said he "thought" he could help me. At this point I was overly annoyed so I told him to forget about it and left. 
    If you look at the add, nowhere does it say you can't pay in full for a preorder game to satisfy the requirement. Obviously it can be done because the folks on the 866 number said it would be no problem and I've seen multiple posts on several video game forums of people doing it at their local store. This is probably the third time in the last year I've had issues with associates at this store on advertised deals. So what gives? Lack of training? Employees that just don't care? 
    So now my dilemma is do I go to another location to see if they can help me or do I just cancel all of my preorders and find a new retailer?

    Enuf is spot-on: since in-store pre-order deposits are not considered to be actual purchases, bundle offers such as our current Gamers' Club Unlocked promotion do not apply. If the title you reserved is released and you pick up your copy while the offer is still in effect, then you would be able to take advantage of the bundle savings during the final sale. Otherwise, you will need to purchase another title $39.99+ to be eligible.
    As far as why your thread was moved is concerned, all My Best Buy Gamers' Club-related inquiries -- including those on promotional offers, benefits, and pre-order bonus certificates -- belong in this board.     I didn't realize this promotion was going on. I picked up COD Adnvaced Warfare last Monday, can I go in with my receipt and still get Gamers Club Unlocked for $30?

    Both items must appear on the same receipt for the promotional savings to apply, so you would need to return and repurchase your copy in order to qualify for the offer. Since we also don't accept the return of opened media (games, music, movies, PC software), I'd encourage you to speak with the staff at your local store for assistance -- I have confidence they'll be able to help you out.

    I'll be happy to answer your question, and thank you for being a My Best Buy member.
    Without providing specific purchase information I can say that your membership would have expired last fall were it not for the complimentary extension we offered members.  That being the case, your Unlocked membership benefits were extended until Feb. 10, 2014.  
    You would have been eligible for a $30 renewal coupon if you were interested in renewing, and we were recently able to offer an added time frame to provide those.  Please see our post linked below for more information on how to receive a coupon.

    Sorry to hear that! Gamers' Club Unlocked welcome packets typically only take 2-3 business days to arrive by e-mail, so it'd be difficult to determine why you wouldn't have received yours by now.     I know the regular price for two years is 120.00. Any idea when BB will run another promotion for 60.00 for two years? I'd just hate to buy it today and then a week later (a Labor Day sale) it's 50% off....

  • Did not receive gamer club unlocked discount

  • Gamer Club Unlocked Is not showing expiration date??

    I recently got GCU with the promo they had, the day I got it i had it activated but now there is no date shown, it just shows the GCU Banner and Club Benefits, but no expiration date, I was wondering if I still GCU?? Thanks in advance

    As the email you received stated, your Gamers Club Unlocked membership does show to be valid until 10/31/2016.  The expiration date appearing or not appearing in BestBuy.com should not cause any problems when trying to utilize the 20% discount or any of the other associated benefits.  I am showing that your BestBuy.com and My Best Buy™ accounts are linked, so the 20% discount should reflect on BestBuy.com too.  I just tested your account and the 20% discount seemed to be working just fine.

  • $30 Gamer Club Unlocked Coupon Won't Work ("already redeemed")

    i'm an elite plus member and received the $30 2-year renewal coupon for GCU.  i went to 2 different best buys and my coupon would not work because it said "already redeemed."  the stores refused to help and said i should call 1-800-Bestbuy.  I called twice and kept getting the runaround by service reps who said they knew nothing about the promotion. 
    very frustrating - how do i resolve this!? i thought BB had a policy about providing SOLUTIONS to customers?

    I regret to hear that you attempted to renew your Unlocked membership with the coupon at two separate Best Buy stores to no avail.

  • Price adjustment problem with gamers club unlocked

    I've been told i get the 20% from GCU when i do i price adjustment but i did not after giving a called to CSR earlier in the day.
    Basically i bought Little Big Planet 3 Day One Edition for $47.99 because that is the default price for me after GCU 20%.
    It is currently on sale for $39.99 and i pay $31.99 automatically because i am a GCU member. So my question is
    do i get the price adjustment diffrerences between $47.99 and $31.99 or $39.99(pre GCU)
    Same thing with halo MCC, i paid $47.99 and its on sale currently for $44.99(pre gcu), $35.99 post GCU.
    Can a mod please help me, cuz looks like the CSR already credited me incorrectly for my purchases of LBP3 if so

  • Confused by my Gamers Club Unlocked status

    Hey BBY mod crew! I'm pretty impressed by the level of interaction between Best Buy's moderators and customer service staff on these boards - its why I came here with my question!
    Last week, I took advantage of the Gamers Club Unlocked $30 sale and picked up a 2 year subscription with my pre-order of GTAV, which was, in my opinion, a pretty sweet deal. However, with the changes I see have been made to the MyBestBuy web portal for Black Friday, I can't tell if my membership has been activated or not, despite it showing up on my receipt and in my purchase history.
    I was going to purchase a couple games as gifts and for myself over the weekend, but even with a couple tests on full-priced items, it doesn't appear that the discount is going into effect. Now that I'm reflecting back on the purchase, I'm not even sure that I ever even received a "welcome to GCU" email after my purchase. Can someone please help me understand a) if my GCU subscription is even activated, and B) if so, if I'm shopping online, do the discoutns go into effect in my shopping cart automatically, or at check-out?

I do however apologize for both the delay in response, as well as the issue at hand with your Gamers Club Unlocked (GCU) signup.
    I was able to locate the purchase you speak of using your email address on file for the forums. Regrettably, Shankya is correct here. There are two options when purchasing GCU and one is a gifting option, which is intended to be provided to someone else and will not apply to your own account. Your transaction includes the gifting option and not the normal membership. In this situation, you’ll want to return to the store and Customer Service should be able to assist in ringing the transaction correctly.
    First impressions are pretty important to me, so I wish yours was a bit more positive in nature here on the forums. However, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us in the future should you need assistance!

  • Two Member IDs and Game Club not working

    I should have no problem merging your two My Best Buy™ accounts, as long as they share the same information (name, phone #, mailing address).  Any active points/certificates that are currently in the secondary account would transfer over to the primary account during the merge, including your Unlocked membership.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked Activation Issues... Please check if GCU is active?

    Hello there,
    I purchased the Gamers Club Unlocked gifting card online for myself back in December... Well it wasn't until today that I was able to drive to the nearest Best Buy (about an hour away) to have it activated. I did not try and purchase a game at the store with the membership, but I did try adding a game to my cart online to see if it worked and it applied the GCU discount within the cart. However, when I go to check out, I keep getting an error. Is there any way someone can check and see if the GCU membership was correctly applied to my account and the day it expires? I am seriously doubting myself and the cashier that activated my card, simply because no one there seemed to know what they were doing. And I really don't have the time and gas money to go back to the store to try again.

  • Where should I be able to see my Gamers Club Unlocked?

    I bought Gamer Club Unlocked about over 2 weeks ago and I still have not seen it appear in my account rewards overview page. It shows that I got the points for purchasing it but it does not display me as a member. Did I not get fully registered? I did notice that the person who registered me only scanned the first barcide but not the second that is covered by a yellow tape.

    Welcome to GCU you`re one of the many new members and trust me there`s alot to the program, I`m a vet and I still learn stuff everyday.
    This is the easiest way to ensure you get the 20% discount in-store
    1- At the beginning of the transaction have your MyBB card scanned or the phone # attatched to the MyBB account with GCU entered.
    2- When processed correctly a popup box/prompt will appear on the cashiers screen staring something like "Welcome Gamer`s Club Unlocked Member", this happens BEFORE you`re required to verify your info on the keypad. There are times when the pc may incorrectly bring up the popup box/prompt for "Gamer`s Club" at that time the transaction needs to start over.
    Once the prompt is confirmed everything will then work automatically.
