Gaming issues with K7N2G

K This is weird to me I think I might already know the root of the problem but looking for some verification from you all.
I have a new system using
K7N2G
AMD 2400+
ATI Radeon 9700 PRO
1gb Kingston Hyper X Ram
Pioneer DVD-Rom and Plextor CD-RW
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Seagate 40 GB 7200 RPM 2mb cache drive
Western Digital Special Edition 40GB 7200 RPM 8mb cache drive
OS is installed on on WD and just use the Seagate for backups.
System is really really fast however, whenever I play games I keep getting these weird hanging moments when loading things and every game I have loaded and played crashes, installed everthing from Red Alert2 to MOHAA.  I can play for awhile but it doens't seem to last longer than about 30 min or so. My guess is that there is an issue with having the 2 drives on the same IDE channel.  Not sure what difference that would make but that's my guess.
Any thoughts?

This is a RAM incompatibility issue.  I recently went through almost the same problem.  All you can do is use different ram.  I went with Kingston Value RAM.  I have the K7N2G-ILSR.  I had to update bios to 1.3 to fix compatibility.  I tried the board with Samsung, Corsair, and Crucial.  The Samsung would not work, but both Corsair and Crucial work well.  Good Luck.

  • ...on-board NIC issues with K7N2G-ILSR

After reading several posts on this issue, it sounds as if a ton of people are having problems with their K7N2G-ILSR on-board NIC.  My problem is pretty strange...  When i'm on the internet (WinXP Pro, cable modem/Linksys BEFSX41 firewall router), my NIC works fairly well.. maybe 90% of time.  I can also 'connect' to other machines on my LAN just fine.  However, if i attempt to transfer data between my K7N2G-ILSR and another PC, the LAN conenction icon flashes back and forth between 'connected' and 'disconnected.'  I also have this problem when i try to download anything...  It's driving me friggin crazy!!
I haven't tried the MAC address solution (copying the NIC MAC address into the BIOS).  Before i give that a shot, does anyone have any updated news regarding this issue?
    Thanks for the help...  Mike

I like to contribute a little. I bought a mother board K7N2G-ILSR upgraded my PC. First, I booted up with Windows 98SE most of hardware is working include on-board network port which connected with RoadRunner cable modem except not USB 2.0. I have decided to upgrade to Windows XP SP1. My first try of upgrading to  Windows XP looks okay for most hardware, then I found out that network is not working. After several investigation, I see no MAC address show on network driver property. I reinstall (restore from backup) Windows 98SE then network is worked fine. I memo the MAC address. Again, upgraded to Windows XP SP1, enter the MAC address into NVIDIA nForce MCP Networking Controler's property "NetWork Address". After rebooted the Windows XP the on-board network port is working perfect. This must be glich in nForce2 driver.

  • Gaming Issue with new 17" iMac (got it 3 days ago)

This has happened about 6 times now while playing the starcraft on my new 17" iMac computer. While playing all of a sudden the game will crash and give me a error message which says that due to a unknown error the application starcraft has been forced to close...I just bought this computer because I heard they are more reliable then PC's but what is going on, I really don't know where to post this question but the game requires the cd-rom to be in the drive to play it so I don't know if it is a cd-rom problem or problem with the actual computer...please help me out here.
The game is 10 years old now so it shouldn't be a compatability issue.
    System information:
    Hard Drive - 500gb
    Ram - 2 gb
    Processor - dual core 2.16
    CD Drive - Superdrive
if you need to know anything else just let me now.

Contrary to what you might think, it's most certainly a compatibility problem. Imagine running a 10-year-old DOS game on Windows Vista or XP, doesn't matter how fast/reliable the OS is, there are bound to be problems.
You have the Mac version with latest updates, but you are still running a 10-year old game on a non-native system (it ran in System 9 when it first came out). It's still powerpc app that need to be translated at run-time to run on your intel Mac. If it runs, fine, if it doesn't, it's not supported anyway. You have to ask Blizzard see if they will release universal binary updates (not very likely).
Or, like suggested above, get the windows version since you can have windows in bootcamp.
Regarding performances, I'm running a 3-year-old game Homeworld 2 in rosetta, and it's perfectly playable, so rosetta is actually quite fast now.

  • Dual Video Issue with "K7N2G-ILSR"

    Hello,
I have an MSI "K7N2G-ILSR" motherboard with the built in video. I am having trouble getting the motherboard to work with two monitors by using the video that is on-board and an additional AGP video card. When we plug-in the additional AGP video the built on video stops working. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank You

So I can use the on-board video and my second video has to be PCI and not AGP or I can get a dual video card?
    Correct.
    Take Care,

  • Online gaming issue with WRT54G2V1.

    Hi
I have a WRT54G2V1 (firmware 1.1.01) router hard wired to 4 computers in the house.  I have a Siemens Speedstream 4200 Series Modem.
I play Mechwarrior IV and I have some connection problems.   The MW4 sites say to do the following:
Make a static LAN IP address - This I have done to IP 192.168.1.185, and confirmed it with the ipconfig command
I have disabled all firewalls and anti virus etc
I port forward the following ports 27999, 2300-2400, 47624, 28800-28810 through the router panel on the port forwarding page
They also say to disable Upnp - which when I do this the connection lasts about 2 minutes and then freezes
I  run a port checker and It has always said that the ports are closed.  I have power cycled the router many times to checkk each stage of the settings changes and thank god for the reset button.  I have also power cycled the modem at times too.  Nothing seems to get the ports open.
I will post the screenshots of the abovementioned screens in the next 24hrs when I figure how to.
The game connects to the lobby but I can't join any of the selected games.
PLease help and ask for any other info if you need

As you have already open the Ports on your Router, and it still dosent work, i think in this case you need to upgrade the firmware of your Router. Go to website linksysbycisco.com/downloads.........insert model no of your router in serach tab......select proper version of your router........download the firmware file......save that file on desktop...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful"  After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
    Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
Note :  Also make sure that your computer is set to obtain IP automatically, disable any firewalls, security softwares on the computer before trying to access the setup page...

  • HP Envy 15-j075nr - Issues with gaming performance (slow-motion gaming)

    SPECS:
    Display: 15.6" diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display (1366 x 768)
    Memory: 8GB installed memory
Hard drive: 750GB 5400RPM hard drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
Processor: AMD Elite Quad-Core A10-5750M Accelerated Processor
    Operating system:Windows 8
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 8650G graphics with up to 4204MB total graphics memory
Running on the exact specs above, I'm playing games via Steam (Tomb Raider, Saints Row IV, Dishonored, etc) and have had to compromise video/display quality settings  just to get the games to play correctly. Most games have an auto-detect feature for display and audio settings and in each instance the games are set to Ultra or High settings. But when I begin to the play the games with the default settings that games are extremely slow, though the graphics look great.
Given the specs above and the fact that the games auto detect at the highest or near to the highest settings, might I have an issue with my current system settings that I could tweak in order to get a higher quality gaming experience? I feel like these settings are definitely good enough to get at least HIGH display quality, but that has yet to work.

    Hi @trickster878
I understand you are having performance issues with games on your notebook computer, but really notebook computers for the most part are not intended to be gaming machines. Their design focus is more to be light weight and portable while also providing the ability to run for two hours or more without a power connection when fully charged.
Many of the things that make for a good gaming machine are sacrificed in a notebook. All that being said, it is possible to play many games on notebooks, but rarely as well as it would work on a desktop computer.
It is likely that you can tweak the settings to get a compromise that is more playable, but it is often a robbing Peter to pay Paul situation. Something may have to be sacrificed.
You can take a look at these pages and see if anything helps.
Computer Locks Up or Freezes When Playing a Game
HP PCs - Improving System Performance without Adding Memory (Windows 8)
Otherwise, you would probably need to look at the video settings in each of the games you are trying to play. The settings will need to be customized for each of them, and you may have to look at the pages/forums for the individual game to see which setting may have to be changed internal to that game.

  • X99S GAMING 9 AC Not booting - Debug 94 code - Issue with GTX 980 SLI in WoW

Hello, I bought the X99S GAMING 9 AC motherboard but have ran into some issues.
The computer won't boot when I put my second MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4 GB card in the last PCEI 3.0 port (PCIE port 5) and I get the debug LED message 94 on the motherboard. I have a SLI setup.
The first card I have in the second PCIE 3.0 port due to the Noctua U14S CPU fan takes up space for the first slot. So I have been running my grafic cards in PCIE slot 2 and 4 with some issues.
First the card in slot 2 gets really warm over 86 celsius. And second: SLI runs really poorly in World of Warcraft. I get a lot higher performance with just one card activated. I am not sure if it's cause I am not running my cards in the recommended PCIE 3.0 ports or because WoW has some issues with SLI, but I heard other people have no issues at all with WoW in SLI.
I got the same issue with 3Dmark firestrike, the cards perform really poor in SLI. I get higher score with SLI turned off..
Though SLI seems to run pretty well in 3dmark 11 and Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls.
But the main issue right now, is that the computer won't boot with the grafic cards in PCIE port 2 and 5. The solution to run them next to each other is not good, cause it gets really hot and I get bad performance in WoW and Firestrike.
Picture of my setup before I switched places with the grafic cards as you can see, it is really tight:
Any upcoming bios updates (got v1.3) that will solve this issue on the horization? Hopefully this get sorted out really soon..
    My whole computer setup:
    Intel i7 5820K | MSI X99S Gaming 9 AC (bios 1.3) | SLI MSI GTX 980 Gaming 4GB | Samsung 850 Pro 512 GB | WD Red 4TB | G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3000MHz 4x4GB | EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1000W | Noctua NH-U14S PnP | Fractal Design Define XL R2 | 5 Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140mm fans | Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

You must use the recommended PCIE slots as the manual says for your CPU type, PCIE #1 and PCIE #4 if I remember, just open the manual :P for optimal 2Way SLI, also your 5820k will limit to 28 pcie lanes only if you plan to add more vgas...the other problem is your giant CPU air cooler blocking PCIE#1, do a favor to yourself, buy a watercooler for your 5820k and your problems are gone, add some overclock in your system, low noise and better temps.
Here I use 3x980 in SLI with X99S Gaming 9 AC, going soon to WC the VGAs with EK blocks.....3way is far more temperature critical than 2way spaced one.
    Cheers

  • Having issues with PC gaming and my Linksys AC1900 router! (What settings should I be using?)

Well I recently purchased a linksys AC1900 for a better/faster connection with my internet. Sadly, I have been having issues with online gaming. I am attempting to play a blizzard game (Diablo 3) but its not letting my connect. I did a direct wired connection and it worked just perfect. However, I dont want to play in my garage...lol. Does anyone have any ideas what settings I should be using? It lets me connect to battlenet but when my character loads into the world I get disconnected. I tried opening ports, shutting off uPnP, and various other things. Is the the router or is it me? Someone please help!

I got confused with your response. If you are still having the same challenge, make sure you have enough speed to play any online game. You may also try to reboot your PC and the router. If the result is the same, check if the firmware is up to date. You may try to manually update it on the Linksys Smart WiFi page. Here's how. Once accomplished, reset, reboot, and reconfigure the router. I hope this helps!

    First issues.
-SSD is detected, but doesn't show folder even though it shows there is data on the drive. I have to reboot and then go into the bios.  I don't do anything in my bios I just need to get there and save and close. Then it will work until my system goes into sleep mode.  Sometimes after coming out of sleep mode folder are gone again and other times are just random.  --- Tested drive on my other system works fine.
    - My front USB stop working.  The items I have plug into the front USB are not be detect at all.  Test components on my other computer all is working well.
and now my SSD isn't be detected.
This is a fresh install of Windows.

  • Issues with my connection when gaming (Insurgency)

    Hello,
I just bought the MSI GT72 2QE. I am very pleased with de specs like the Geforce GTX 980m and the i4710hq but there is an issue that is bothering me some days now. When i am playing my beloved game Insurgency, i get ping spikes all the time. So i followed up some instruction on uninstalling the Killer software suite and just installing the drivers when i encountered the next problem. My Killer Wireless-n/a/ac 1525 Wireless Network Adapter couldn't find the drivers in the 'drivers only' package. But i did my best to find other drivers and accomplished after 5 hours full of frustration. So that is done but still doesn't solve my problem.
I don't know what to do anymore and I'm starting to think that maybe my Killer Wireless-n/a/ac 1525 Wireless Network Adapter is the issue. Maybe this is a hardware issue. I contacted the store where i bought it and they will contact me in 48 hours with a possible solution but the guy said that after all my effort it seems like a hardware issue indeed. You guys are my last hope or my laptop will be gone for 3 weeks at the factory.
    Video of ping:
    nl.tinypic.com/r/ztisd1/8
I hope someone has the solution.
Excuse me for my incorrect English, it's not my native language.
    Bye!

    Thanks for your reply.
I'm glad (and I'm not glad for the others..) that I'm not the only one. But it's not because there are more devices connected to my router because I am the only one now and I'm still having this problem while my other laptop doesn't have any problems at all. I've tried everything so far now. Resetting my router, restarting my router, reinstalled windows, reinstalled drivers, got rid of the software suite, turned off firewalls, virusscanners etc. Everything.
I thought it was only with Insurgency but it's also bugging me with Battlefield 4.
So i have tried and done everything i could find on every forum on the internet. Still I don't get the download/upload/connection I am used to when using wireless. When i am in my room, which is 10m away from the wireless router, my download speed is max 1200 kb/s where I would easily get 2300 kb/s. Also when playing online games I am having big issues with my latency/ping. It goes from 60 to 200 to 400 and back every 15/20 seconds. I also own a Asus laptop and I don't have any issues at all with the wireless connection. When I am in my room there are no problems at all. I am starting to think that the Killer Wireless adapter is just a f*cked up thing. I bought a laptop (GT72 with 980m) for €2300 but I am having all these issues with the connection. It makes me really frustrated.
    Longer vid of ingame netgraph:
    nl.tinypic.com/r/97mjae/8
I am hoping that there is something that solves my issues. I'm starting to think that another wireless network adapter from another brand is the only option. Is there an option to change the wireless network adapter on my laptop because I will if I can. This piece of sh*t needs to be replaced.
    Bye

  • After several repairs, still having heating issue with MacBook Pro (mid '09)

EDIT: this post got removed the first time for not being constructive enough. I've now edited the post.
This is going to be a lengthy post, so bear with me.
2 months ago, I suddenly noticed my MacBook Pro (medio 2009, 15", 4GB RAM, GeForce 9400M) heating up a lot harder than usual. I'm familiar with the heating issues these laptops have, but this wasn't normal. Looking at iStat Pro, I saw my fans almost taking off like an airplane at 5700 rpm, while watching only a livestream on my browser. I know Shockwave Flash takes up quite a chunk of your CPU, but I had never encountered this problem beforehand.
The biggest problem wasn't just the heat or the fans, but the fact that my computer also started reacting rather slowly. Sometimes I'd even get beachballed, or the whole browser stopped responding for half a minute...
So I tried to see if gaming was still an option. Of course not. I had been playing League of Legends for several months without any issues. Whilst playing, I'd kick up my fans manually to about 4000 rpm, and they'd stay there throughout the whole game. Now, when I start up the game, it plays smoothly for the first 2 minutes. After the temperatures rise to a critical level, the fans start spinning up to 5700 rpm, and the whole game plays like a powerpoint presentation.
On a sidenote: it sort of 'lags' every 1-2 seconds, and sometimes, after a long period, the game acts somewhat normal again (20 mins). This game uses wine to run, which isn't the most optimal way. So I tried playing Team Fortress 2, too. Probably even worse results! (but again noticeable 1-2 second interval lags)
Before anyone starts screaming: "Don't use your Mac for gaming!" etc., I wish to point out that these two games had been running perfectly for the past few months/years. Something's definitely wrong.
After looking for some solutions myself, I decided to go to an authorized Apple Service in my city. A few days later, they told me my logic board was broken, and I had to pay almost 700 euros ($ 900-1000) to replace it. So I did. I got it back, but it wasn't fixed. Brought it back in. Got it back a week later: "Your new logic board we got from Apple was already broken, but we hadn't noticed. We put a new one in it. It's fixed." Again, same problem.
We're almost 2 months later and 700 euros poorer, still no result. I've brought it in about 6-7 times now, here's a list of what they've tried so far:
    - In total 3 new logic boards
    - New MagSafe (because they discovered it was giving too much power too my laptop)
    - Fresh re-install
    - Replaced RAM
    - Checked fans etc. (they do this by default)
    - A few tests which proved that it was repaired (but I have my doubts with these tests...)
They told me now that it's fixed, and they basically won't look into it anymore. I must contact Apple myself, if I wasn't satisfied. The tests they performed showed no signs of heating issues. (One of the tests was playing 4 1080p movies at the same time. When I watch a 1080p movie on Youtube, my laptop is taking off like a plane) They ran a stress test all night long, showing no temperatures above 98°C. I got it up to 105°C in a few minutes according to iStat Pro.
They advised me to install Mountain Lion, which would make the issues with "high-performance sites" go away. I haven't seen much improvement, though.
This whole experience has been quite frustrating, especially now that I'm gonna need my laptop for University again. Isn't there anything I can do? I've paid almost 700 euros and missed my laptop for 2 months, without any results.
I've got more information regarding the issues if needed, ask away. I'm getting desperate.
I've been browsing around the support communites, and found that a lot of people are having issues since they upgraded to OS X Lion. Could this be the case? Should I try downgrading to Snow Leopard?
I've also found a few topics on refreshing the cooling pasta on the heatsink. Would they have noticed any problems with this after replacing the Logic Board several times? Or should I check it myself? I'm not too keen on opening up my laptop myself...
    Nick.

    Thought of buying Parallels? Fusion?
Might want to see if this gets moved to the MacBook Pro forum.
I'd think Windows 8.1 is smart enough (what I use 90% time since the Dev Preview came out couple yrs ago it seems like) to find the driver.

  • Freezing issues with MSI 970A-G43 and AMD FX 8320

    Hey all,
I bought my brother a new system a few days ago, but he has had serious issues with the machine crashing ever since.
The machine has had a fresh installation of Windows 7, it has all the latest drivers for both motherboard, sound, chipset and video card (Latest VGA driver tested as well as the latest Beta version)
I thought the problem might be with the VGA card, as the computer would just shut off during 3d Gaming, but it also seems to happen when surfing the internet or doing normal "2d" activities
What happens is the computer will just seemingly shut off, the LED lights on the front of the case, around the dials, start blinking and the only way to get it back up again, is to turn if off at the power supply unit and then turn it back on again.
I'll paste in what my brother sent me (As I live in the UK and can't see the machine crashing myself), he said:
I dunno what the issue is but, last night the comp just shut off in middle of game play on 3 different games, and the lights were flashing, I had to turn complete power off to the power box and back on to restart comp, I kept checking all my temps with speccy and speed fan and nothing seemed high at all, also when it shuts off and I re start it, a lot of my desktop icons move around to different spots,
Update: crashed a few times on me, once playing euro, once just browsing Internet 5 min after the first one, changed out ram just for shots and giggles and ran euro on ultra for about 5 min and crashed. I dl a gpu monitor gadget, was accurate on temp but said the gpu was 0% but with just Internet would randomly jump to 99% or 40% then back to 0 and would stay and eventually crash
    Spec is:
    AMD FX-8320 3.5GHZ EIGHT CORE
    500GB SATA III 6GB/S 7200RPM 16MB
    COOLERMASTER SEIDON 120M WATER COOLER
    4Gb DDR3 / 1600 MHZ MEMORY
    MSI 970A-G43 AMD 970 CROSSFIRE AM3+ DDR3 USB 3.0 SATA
    CORSAIR 500 WATTS CX500 V2 80 PLUS POWER SUPPLY
ASUS XONAR DG 5.1 CHANNELS PCI XONAR DG SOUND CARD
    AMD RADEON 7750 2GB PCI-E
There was a concern I did have when I did search earlier, via a thread on Tomshardware in which a similiar board had issues with the FX8350's wattage going above the stated 125 watts and causing the board to freeze.
It's a different board/chip, but I wonder if the wattage of the CPU goes above 125W and causes problems on the board? Hmm
I feel really guilty right now, because I bought this for him as a present, it was $700ish plus shipping etc and it's been nothing but problems ever since.
I'm going to see what version of Bios he's running when he gets out of bed, but the Live Update software said there were no updates, but I'll have him check manually.
Another issue I noted, was I sent him some ram before the PC arrived, which was:
    XMS3 — 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1333C9)
He originally put that ram in with the existing 4gb of ram, so I thought it "Might" be a conflict, due to them having a different Mhz value
So I had him remove the 4gb stick that came with the PC
As soon as he entered the bios, it froze and did so twice
So he removed that ram and put back the original 4gb stick and the bios worked
No idea if the two are related.

I hope this doesn't count as necro-ing a thread (last post was in October), but it's the one closest to my situation.
    I have the following setup:
    MSI 970a-g43 motherboard
    AMD FX-6300 cpu
ATI Radeon HD 4550 graphics card
    4x 2GB RAM sticks
    2x 500 GB 3.5" SATA hard drives
    CoolMax 700W psu
    16x r/rw DVD burner
cheapo SD and others card reader that fits in the floppy drive bay
Older PC tower that has a temperature sensor built into it
I built it around November 15th, and it worked until a couple days ago (December 12th I think), when it started doing the sudden shut-off thing. Same as Adresch described: shuts off, tower light blinks, have to flip the i/o switch off and back on to boot again. I consulted a friend for some suggestions, and he said I should put a water cooler in there, because the stock heatsink that comes with most processors are junk. So I went out and bought a Corsair H55 water cooler and installed that.
The computer seemed to run for a bit longer before shutting off. I loaded up the BIOS software, SpeedFan, and HWMonitor. SF said the CPU was running average of 48*C, and GPU was averaging 51*C. The CPU's highest was at 61*C and its lowest was 36*C. BIOS software said CPU was at 35*C the whole time. HWMonitor listed the GPU at 51*C, and the CPU at 7*C. These are all very inconsistent with each other as far as I can tell, so I don't know what to make of these readings. Didn't seem to much matter as the computer continued shutting off.
My options then being replacing the PSU or the motherboard, I decided to replace the power supply, since I was just within the 30 days. Switched for a ThermalTake TR2 700W. Before installing it, I pulled the tower's CPU temperature sensor wire from between the water cooler heatsink and the CPU, just in case. Then I installed the PSU, checked and rechecked all of the connections, and turned it on.
    Nothing.
I then spent the next two hours rechecking everything, even unplugging everything and putting it back together. Still nothing. The best I could get was a flicker of the tower light and the fans doing a quarter turn before ceasing movement. The red LED on the front of the SD card reader stayed on the entire time, though, so I guess it was getting at least a trickle of power. I also removed everything but the PSU, motherboard, CPU, and one stick of RAM. Still no power. I think the new PSU may have been open box, so I'm returning it today for a different one, and even bumping it up to 850W.
I'm not sure that will solve my original issue though, so I'll be looking for a heatsink to put on the VRMS as mentioned. Just thought I'd get this down in a relevant thread in case anyone had other thoughts on what could be going on.

  • Z87-G65 power issue with usb(port reset failed)

    All,
I'm having an issue with my motherboard and wanted to see if anyone had suggestions.  In windows 8.1 if I have my webcam or external hard drive plugged in USB.  I get this error the the USB device is not recognized and the port reset failed(code 43).  I noticed when I turn on the PC and it's booting the light on the webcam and hard drive flash like it's not drawing enough power to stay on.  The boot sticks at 9c on the screen and I have to reset.  When windows boots they turn off.    Since it's before windows boots I think this is either a MB issue or a power supply issue.  I have a corsair 750 watt power supply so plenty of power.  Any ideas?

  • BSOD issues with Z68A-GD55 (B3): BIOS issue? Hardware issue? Voltage issue?

Built this PC two months ago and have had issues.  This is the message posted on the BIOS section:

I have the z68-gd55 (b3).  I built this PC bout two months ago.  Awhile after the build, started getting BSODs during gaming and eventually was led here to flash a new BIOS.  I flashed the latest beta BIOS successfully and played for several hours.  Then sleep the pc but get a BSOD again when powering it back up.  The BCCode indicates an issue with the GPU or driver but I have read on that there was a problem in the BIOS  for the z68-gd65 (g3) that the voltage was off and needed to be set differently to accommodate

@Junior, all three BIOS' that I tested, the BCLK is shown as 100 in the BIOS but once in the OS it applies 98. I have now set the base freq manually 10010 and that applies 100,2 BCLK once in the OS. Needs to be fixed.
The multi is still artificially restricted at X49.
DRAM auto apply voltage is 1,472 in the BIOS. I set it manually to 1,5V (1,507V) to prevent BSOD. Rebooting, the BIOS still shows applied DRAM voltage as 1,472 although 1,507 is applied. Need to do some DMM tests.
CPU phase control on the latest BIOS works correctly in Intel SVID Mode with the LEDs being lit solidly from 1 to 6 as the load is applied.
Selecting APS results in either the first 3 LEDs being lit or all 6 LEDs being lit, nothing in between.
Has this been an issue in this boards BIOS too?  Thanks because short of RMAing parts, I am about at a loss as to what to do to fix these issues.
This started with screen freezes needing hard restart using the restart button while playing Dragon Age:Origin and continued with Battlefield p4f, and BF3.  After reseating the CPU/cooler, RAM, GPU then updating the drivers using Live Update 5 and then manually updating; I started getting BSODs and restarts while playing games and several time while using 3D Mark.  Tried to change the voltage for the DRAM with no help and loaded only the Default Optimized Settings in BIOS.  I updated the BIOS to the listing in my signature, moved the HDD and Optical drive to different SATA ports and updated the audio driver to the current one on MSI website.  System finally seemed to be running fine then the stuff happened as quoted form my previous post.
As this stuff has continued, the PC seems to be running slower and slower.  What I mean by that is the boot times have started taking longer and the system does not respond as quickly to commands.  Like now, as I type, I am at least two or three words ahead of what is put on the screen (never has done that before).  Funny thing about that is this was the fastest computer I have ever had with response, booting, and post (my wife even commented on how fast it booted up).  Not sure if the other issues have anything to do with this but I am trying to post everything I can think of to give all the necessary info.  If more information is needed then let me know and possibly tell me where to find it?
Not really sure how to post the dump files from Blue Screen View and My Event Viewer but gladly would if someone can give a newbie some direction on this.  Thanks in advance for all help and consideration.

Yes, the BIOS I have flashed was pulled from there.  I thought it had the problem resolved until it had another BSOD after several hours of use.
The Stop:error code, is that the Bug Check Code from the Blue Screen Viewer?

  • Droid Razr 4G Mobile Hotspot Issues with PS3

I am hoping someone else had this issue and has been able to resolve.  I just got a Droid Razr this week, and I have the 4G mobile hotspot feature.  I am trying to replace my slow DSL line at home, and most things in my house have tested fine (Internet access, etc.).  However, my PS3 seems to have some issues, particularly with online gaming and testing the network connection.  The game I am testing now is COD MW3.  I thought maybe something like IP ports were blocked on the phone or 4G network, but searching online seems to indicate that isn't an issue.  If I reconnect my PS3 back to the DSL, online gaming and network tests work just fine.  Move it back to 4G and the game won't connect and the network tests don't complete.
I don't see any features on the phone that would indicate that you can modify any firewall like settings.  Anyone else experience similar issues?  Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue with my Samsung 4g hotspot as well.  I can get onto the PSN, download game updates just fine, but when I'm in a MW3 lobby, it just sits there and eventually times out and a XMB message displays that i've been disconnect from the wireless access point.  Anyone have any ideas?
