  • Finance General Ledger dashboards data is missing.

    Hi,
I have noticed a strange behaviour related to data loads and data visibility through the Financials Analytics dashboards.
Let me please begin with an empty target schema.
I run the first load having the General Ledger subject area (Full Load=Y). When it's successfully completed, I can see data in most of the tabs of the GL dashboard. In the Profitability dashboard, I can see P&L statement with data.
However, when I run further loads for other subject areas like - paybales, receivables, revenue, cost of goods sold, supply chain, etc., I see, gradually, empty GL dashboard across its tabs. I can not see the P&L statement with data, too.
I take an export of the schema at the end of each load and create a log for each of the export. I compare the logs and can conclude that there is no loss of data (W_GL_OTHER_F) because of, may be, the next loads that I usually do. There is no data in W_TAX_XACT_F from the first load. I notice that due to the next loads more tables are populated with data or the tables with the data have more rows. So, there is no reduced number of rows in the tables because of the next loads.
When I 'modify' the reports in BI Answers by removing all the filters, I see no data, there, too.
Does anyone have an idea what the is the issue here? Am I looking at the right database tables?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks and regards,
    Manoj.

    Hi,
Adding an input to my message.
I created the same target schema in a different database and imported the first dump (GL subject area, full load = Y) into this. I am now pointing to this schema via the ODBC datasource on the BI Server server. It shows me all data in all the tabs of the GL dashboard and also, I can see the P&L statement in the Profitability dashboard, too.
So, after the first load, I can see the data in GL dashboard tabs and the P&L statement but once more subject areas are loaded, then the GL data and P&L statement disappears. My issue still remains.

  • Special General Ledger Transaction -Guarantee

    Dear Experts,
The Vendor should be debited when guarantee  made to vendors but it  has been credited while using transaction code ' F-55'

  • Change description general ledger master data not possible for some languag

    Hi all,
We have a lot of language translation on tab Key word/translation for all G/L accounts. English is our log in language. When we want to change the description in Finnish, Norwegian and Danish this is not possible (this lines are grey, only display mode). We can´t remove these lines and we can´t change them. It is possible for all other languages except this languages and English. Does anyone have a clue why this is not possible?
    Thanks in advance!
    BR L

    Hi Lisa,
I was asking if you can maintain a new description (for an account number where no description in one of the mentioned languages is entered) so the message "Description already exists in language XX" should not appear in that case...
In general, account descriptions are stored (for chart of accounts / language key) in table SKAT thus you can check the entries already available.
Did you contact the user-authorization responsible which authorization objects are assigned? FS00 contains authorization objects for account auth. group (F_SKA1-BES), company code (F_SKA1_BUK) and the whole chart of accounts (F_SKA1_KTP), maybe some change authorization (activity 02)  is missing?
    Best regards, Christian

  • EIS drill through - transactional data

Currently on Essbase 6.5.4.We currently have a need to be able to "drill down" to General Ledger transactional data that is stored in our data warehouse. (i.e A/P trasactions etc..) Is this possble through EIS without having to populate Essbase outlines or Essbase data via EIS?Thank You

You can do it two ways. 1) Through EIS drill-through. This will allow you to pull in other information that isn't or can't be in the outline (like adresses, product owner...). The draw back is that it produces an unstructured output and support is not universal. 2) Hybrid Analysis. This is for mor granular data that you do not want to load into Essbase. The dimensional members will be in Essbase, but the data will only reside in your source system. You can now have a significantly larger/more granular outline without impacting load and calc times. The drawback is that it is an extension of the cube and must be constrained by the dimensions (can not bring in other types of data that is not in the Essbase outline).Rich [email protected]

  • General Ledger Budget Extractor

    Hi,
Is there a BC extractor for extracting General Ledger budget data?
I looked at help.sap.com and I couldnt find any thing.
    Thanks,
    Ravi.

There isn't any standard extractors for planned (budgeted) General Ledger values, per se. If these budgeted values are posted as accruals, to future Fiscal Year/Periods, to the General Ledger in your R3/ECC source environment, the standard content DataSources for General Ledger will pickup that data.
If the General Ledger budgeted values aren't being posted as accruals to future Fiscal Year/Periods, then where are they being posted to in your source R3/ECC environment?

  • SAP Data Extraction requirements - mySAP SCM SPP/ ERP

    Hello All,
Could you please explain me how to start for this requirement?.
    <b>Business Summary:</b>
For MM Planning to have a substantial range of Master and Transactional data to get extracted from the SAP system for reporting and analysis purposes. A list of the data requested for extraction for the SCM.
    <b>Functional Discription:</b>
There is a general MM Planning requirement to have most Master and Transactional data extracted from SAP-APO for reporting and analysis purposes in order to support following business tasks:
    •     process evaluation and optimization
    •     error analyzes
    •     ad-hoc reporting
    •     planning processes out of scope for SCM launch (e.g. ATR process)
The data need to be automatically extracted on regular basis (i.e.: daily/weekly/monthly/yearly: this will be defined during the next steps for every single set of data) and made available in a structured environment to the SCM Planning Team for the above mentioned processes.
The requirement for data availability outside of SAP APO comprises both current data and historical data.
FoE: today no "final" report is generated by the SCM Planning team directly within the current data warehouse environment.  Most data are extracted from the current data warehouse to external tools. Current assumption is that this will remain unchanged.
Some regular reports (MBB, Inventory Dashboard) may be directly developed in Business Warehouse in future if this offers any improvement (flexibility, design, handling.). This will be investigated by the SCM Planning Team after go-live.
FUS: For the analyses and the planning processes that are out of scope, the data will need to be extracted so that it is available for use in analytical tools that are powerful enough to process the data and appropriate calculations.
Regular reports may be directly developed in the BW if it is determined that that is the most appropriate location and tool.  Otherwise, the data will need to be integrated into reports generated using tools outside of SAP.  That determination will needs to be completed based on the type of data being reported.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Master data extraction from SAP ECC

         Hi All,
I am a newbie here and teaching myself SAP BI. I have looked through the forums regarding master data extraction from SAP ECC in all forums but could not answers for my question. Please help me out.
I want to extract customer attributes from SAP ECC. i have identified the standard data source 0customer_attr and replicated in SAP BI. I have created infopackage for full update. I validated the extractor checker(RSA3) and found 2 records for 0customer_attr.
When I run the info package, the info package remains in yellow state until it times out. Please let me know in case i am missing anything, Please let me know if there is any other process for master data extraction similar to transaction data extraction.

    Hi All,
i did the below and afte clicking execute in the Simple job, it takes me back to the Monitor Infopackage screen.
From your info pack monitor --> menu environment-->job overview--> job in the source system--> prompts for source system(ECC) user id and password, enter them, you will get your job at SM37(ECC), select job and click on log details icon. there you can see details about your error. please share that error screen shot.
    Please find the screenshots.

  • Payment method for Special General Ledger

    Dear Friends,
Can anyone please explain me about the Payment method and Payment request difference.
I got a two definitions in SAP liabiary
Under head Payment method and bank determination:
The payment program supports all payment methods including special G/L ledger account transactions (e.g payment with bill of exchange, down payment,u2026)
    and Under head Payment methods:
The payment program for payment requests does not support payment methods portrayed via special general ledger transactions (e.g. bill of exchange, bill of exchange payment request).
Please let me know why he mentioned that the special gl trans. are suported by one defination and other one is not supported.
Please explain in simple english language.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mahendra Dev

    Dear Mahendra,
There is a simple logic behind these two:
Payment requests are not the real documents like payment dues. If there is any due then these are generated. So It says system does not consider the Payment requests for Spl GL transactions.

  • Special ledger plan data exctraction

I'm trying to extract special ledger plan data on a line item level.
We have a custom defined Z -starting special ledger tables defined in our system:
    T -table (summary table)
A -table (actual data on line item level)
P -table (plan data on line item level)
I can extract the actual line items from our T summary table through the standard SAP defined special ledger extractor.
I have received a response from SAP that the standard extractor can only extract plan data on a summary level.
I have decided to try to create a custom extractor that will extract the items through a query from the P - table.
(you cannot extract directly from the p -table as there are currency/unit references needed from other tables that seems over complicated).
I'm also a little bit puzzled with our special ledger configuration, P - table seems not to have any items, but still plan data exists in the system. (possibly in the GLPCP table?)
Would someone have a clear idea in terms of special ledger plan data extraction?

    Hey Dominic,
I'm pretty sure the folks at SAP would have an issue with being quoted here in the forums.  If you want to post some kind of a summarization of their response, that's probably OK.

  • Master data extractor vs Transaction data extractor

    Hi all,
I am creating a generic (custom) extractor.
What is the difference between creating it as an transaction data extraction? or master data attributes extractor?

    Hi,
If you are interested in extracting master data like materail, customer then one should go for master data extraction whereas if you are interested in transactional data Purchasing, finance then go for transaction data extractor.
E.g. some of the master datasources are not available in BI content ( z object in ECC ) then go for master data extractor to get attribute as well as text. note you will not have KF values for master data load.
and some of transactional data been stored in some ztable in ECC also data like purchasing request although stored in std. ecc table but there is no datasource provided by SAP BI, so you have to create transaction extractor.
    T. Code to create these extractor in ECC is RSO2.
    Thank-You.

    Vinod
