GOA not picked up as source of supply in R/3 when converting PR to PO

Hi
We are currently using SRM 5.0 extended classic scenario. Here we are using Global outline agreements which will get replicated to backend R/3 system and can be used as source of supply while converting a Purchase requisition to Purchase order. The aim is to use Global outline agreements instead of Info records which will be more flexible.
Once MRP run is done, based on requirement Purchase requisitions are created. Using ME57 we convert the PRs to Purchase orders by assigning source of supply. At this point I would expect the GOA to be picked up,whcih is created against this product. But this is not happening as of now.
Please let me know if there is configuration or prerequisites that need to be done for this.
Also when I am trying to assign the GOA manually in PR, it is throwing the error as 'Item category of contract does not match with Item category in PR', even though both has Item category as 'Standard'.

Hi
GOA is not source of supply Indeed.
whatever you have distributed the GOA as a Purchasing contract is a real  source of supply.
if the contract is available in ECC , then it is a valid source of supply for your purchase request.
Can you use the same contract for any other manual / PM /PS purchase request?
Are you assigning same material contract to your purchase request ?
the problem is for only MRP PRs or all PRs.

  • Contracts not appearing as a source of supply in SC.

    Hello Everyone
How to know that which contract type is associated with product category? And how to add new contract type to the product category?
We are using ECS with SRM 5.0. And we create shopping cart by using product catagory and the list of contract should appear in the source of supply section. But the contracts which has particular type is not being available as a source of supply.
So how to add this contract type to the product catagory so they can be available as a source of supply?
    Regards,
    Khushboo.

    Hi Khushbu,
When you create shopping cart, you generaly mention item (material) first.
Product Catagory is associated with material.
So when you will mention item; it will take item details (inclusing product catagory). In that case you should get contract you have created.
If you want to create free text item; you have to mention product catagory. Accordingly select contract.
Rather than appointing prod cat to contract; take care of material. Then only you will see appropriate contract.

  • MDIS Not Picking Up Particular Source Record

I am mapping a CREMDM idoc to a Vendor repository.  I added logic to map the EDIDC SNDPRN to a custom field and it works fine in the manual Import Manager.  I can even leave the application and come back in and my mappings are all still there and work fine.
If I take the same source file and use MDIS to process it, the new mappings are not taking place.  I verified that the map used in the port is the same one I am changing.  The Console import report makes it look like the SNDPRN value is null when it comes into the map.
Is there something special I have to do to get such a mapping to work with MDIS?

    Hello Keith Wendel
When Import server didn't import data it create error log in inbound directory
For fix import errors you can load import manager select source type as Port
    select remote system and port
and check your map for that configuration

  • Proposed souce of supply not picked up in SRM

    Hi All,
My requirement is I Created GOA in SRM. In R/3 I created PR wrt GOA. I transferred PR to SRM.  While doing carry out sourcing, it is not showing the proposed source of supply.

    Sourcing Criteria
During the Sourcing operation, the system checks the requirement for the validity of specific sourcing criteria.
    ·        Primary criteria
The system checks automatically whether the criteria in the contract match those in the requirement. Sources of supply without matching primary criteria are not proposed for assignment. In the standard the following criteria are relevant.
¡        The product must be identical in the requirement and the contract.
¡        The product category must be identical in the requirement and the contract.
¡        The vendor must be identical in the requirement and the contract.
¡        Procurement takes place for the same company with which the contract exists.
¡        The purchasing organization responsible for the requirement is authorized to use the contract.
¡        The location specified in the requirement is release-authorized for the contract.
¡        The goods recipient has not been deleted and has not been excluded from a goods delivery for this contract.
For more information on excluding goods recipients in contracts, see Processing Contracts.
    ·        Secondary sourcing criteria
These are additional customer-specific criteria that you can define for your company. You can only apply secondary criteria to contracts that fulfill the primary criteria. However, you can manually select sources of supply that do not fulfill all the secondary criteria. You can display to what extent the source of supply does not match the criteria.

  • Source of Supply Error?

    Hi,
I am currently experiencing the following problem: (We are running SRM 5)
I replicate vendors from the R/3 system to SRM via BBPGETVD trans code.
I select the correct Object ID (for the Vendor Org structure I created in PPOCV_BBP)
I check that the Vendors have been replicated (They appear in Vendor Org structure – PPOMV_BBP)
BUT these newly replicated Vendors do not appear in the Source of Supplier when I try to assign them when creating a Shopping Cart?? It’s strange cos the previous batch of vendors I replicated worked fine and appear in the Source of Supply??
I’ve also run the business partner check transaction: BBP_BP_OM_INTEGRATE and checked that the Org units are synchronized. I have green lights for everything.
I’ve checked that the replicated vendor is mapped to the correct Purchasing Org, Manually in the Frontend (with Admin user via “Manage Business Partners”) and
via the Backend with trans code BBP_UPDATE PORG. The vendor is assigned to the correct Purch Org.
What am I missing here? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Source of Supply

    Hi everybody,
We are on SRM 5.0 (classic mode). When we create a described requirement the system gets all the sources of supply from the backend system. If there are many sources of supply the system does not assign any one source of supply automatically. However if there is only one source of supply the system automatically assigns the source of supply. Is there a way to not have the system assign the souce of supply to the shopping basket (when there is only one source of supply available)? This should happen only for described requirements shopping basket.
Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Venkat

    Venkat,
<b>Currently we are using punchout. Unless we create a info record it does not create a PO in the backend system. Is there some thing we have to do for punchouts?</b>
You dont need to get PIR and contracts for the creation of PO's from punchout catalogs. The configuration step SPRO>SRM SERVER> MASTER DATA> DEFINE EXTERNAL WEB SERVICES will let you assign the BP number for the catalog. This will be transferred to SRM shopping cart as a partner function 19 from the OCI.
Select a business type product catalog for the new Web Service and confirm your selection with Enter. Once you do that the next page will ask you for additional info liek teh BP number for source of supply. This step will automatically ensure the transfer of the source of supply to SRM as a fixed vendor and enable the PO creation.
If this is satisfied with this step, then you can suppress the source of supply with my workaround solution only for describe requirement. '
Also i have a business question for you. If you want to suppress the source of supply of a product category only in the describe requirement, it really doesnt make sense as in the internal goods you use the source of supply for the same product category.
If your business driver is creation of the follow on document on the basis of the shopping cart (describe requirement or internal goods/services), then i guess for the same product category you need to find a distinguishing criteria between the two and use a BADI to force changing the partner function from 19 to 39 (preferred vendor). This will create a PR for describe requirement.
    Hope info helps !!
Please assign points if answer is usefull !!

Currently the alarm window is not picking up active

I can see them when I drill down through thebrowser
to the specific items but can not
see them in the alarm tab window. This usually indicates that the Server your Agent is
sending its alarms to is not the same one you logged

from your Agent, whereas the Alarms tab is populated
from the Oracle database on your SunMC Server.
Did you recently install a new SunMC Server and

On your Agent click on the Info tab, and look at the

  • SNP Heuristics is not picking up contracts as source of supply

    Hi Experts,
I have a strange situation here. I have integrated a vendor contract with APO, which has created an external procurement relationship and a valid transportation lane. When I create a receipt element manually through /n/sapapo/rrp3, the source of supply is determined rightly to this vendor and receipt is created.....but when I run location SNP heuristics interactively, system generates receipt element without any reference to this source of supply. Expectation is creation of receipt element with reference to vendor and contract...
System release is SCM 5.1 with ECC 6
Am I missing something?....please let me have your inputs...
    Thanks and regards,
    Raghav

    Hi Aparna,
       Thank you for your response.
I have checked the note, but it is applicable till SCM 500 SP 13. Our's is SCM 5.1 and this is inclusive I suppose. As per the SAP SCM standard documentation, external procurement relationship between vendor and receiving plant can be created through following 3 docuements:
    1. Purchase infor record
    2. Scheduling agreement
    3. Contracts
Additionally, as per documentation, even source list between plant and vendors can be integrated by enabling the same through R/3 transaction 'CIFPUCUST01'.
I have worked with first two and SNP considers these for source determination. When I tried to integrate the contract, though it is creating TL between 'vendor --> receiving plant' and an active external procurement relationship, SNP is not found considering this for source determination. When I tried to use the source list for creating TL and esternal procurement relationship, the same is not creating any.
What type of contracts can be used for SNP planning and what else required to be done for integrating source list? I have enabled source list in R/3 material master. Source list is maintained as 'MRP relevant' in R/3.
    Thanks and regards,
    Raghav

  • Fixed Vendor in Source List not picking in MRP proposals

    Dear All
For a matrial, we have maintained two Contracts as Sources in Sourcelist. Both sources are valid and MRP relevant(MRPindicator 1 in Source list)
We then fixed the second Source ( fix indicator in second line in Source List)
Then Run MRP. The expectation was that the second source will be picked as its fixed. But the MRP proposed Purchase Requstion and Planned orders are picking the first source only (non fixed one)
Wanted to to clarify whether the fix source indicator does not have any relevance during MRP ? OR is it some other problem?
Please let me know your thoughts on this.
    Regards
    Shyam

    Hello
As already mentioned by Jürgen, the indicator 'Fixed source of supply' is not considered by MRP at all.
See the following note which explains that in more detail:
    110074
MRP: Source of supply, several valid source list records
Therefore, please make sure that there is only one source list item relevant to MRP.

  • GOA as source of supply

    Hello all,
We are using the extended classic scenario and have successfully distributed GOA to create contract in the R/3 backend .
Is it possible to use this contract which has been created in R/3 as as a source of supply in the Shopping Cart transaction in SRM? What setting do I have to maintain in case it is possible to use GOA as source of suppliy in Shopping Cart?
Also in SRM GOA transcation we can distribute GOA to backend based on each unique combination of Porg,Plant and Document Type.
What setting needs to be done if I want to distribute GOA based on Porg,Company Code and Document Type.
Is it possible to Distribute GOA to MDM catalog...I dont see any option in GOA transcation though its there for SRM Local contract.
    Regards

    Hi Ajith,
A GOA (unlike a process contract) is not a source of supply and hence cannot be distributed to catalogs. This is because what you have in a catalog can be a source of supply but GOA cannot be.
Its the same reason why a GOA cannot be used in a SC as source of supply.
