Good Nokia Care in London?

Any advice where is the best care point in London?
Also will i recieve a replacement while my phone is in service?
I bought the phone from 3 mobile. But it's been like 2 weeks since my 2nd exhcange and i don't think i can exchange again... And the chance that my 3rd lumia could be with battery issue is too high ...
Can i exchange the phone in Nokia Care point? Maybe the 3 mobile store recieved the batch with the battery issue?
Thank you guys

@dimot
I doubt very much that anyone will provide you with a "loaner" whilst in service and there comes a point where until next firmware update with battery revision is released you can't exclude software as an issue here.

  • Nokia Care Centre in London that can help reinstal...

I have a "3" phone that I unlocked officially by 3.  OS updated on 2nd Feb but Firmware isnt updated and I am tired of waiting, especially that I have intermittent problems that I've described in "100% correlation with main instability and battery problem of Lumia - Current higher than 160 mAh" post.
In Jan, a helpful contributor to the forum (metalman) suggested to take the device to a "Nokia Care Centre" so that they will install a generic (ie not "3" branded) OS, but in finchley Road Carphone Warehouse where they do have a Nokia Care Centre told me today that they still dont have the knowkedge on how to work with the Lumia.
Is there any other Nokia place in London where I can take the device and get on the spot advice?  I cud not find anything on Nokia site.

    Sorry to hear ofyour complaint.
please remove your number and contact nokia here http://www.nokia.com/ie-en/support/contact/contact-us/

  • Be Very Careful When Choosing to use Nokia Care sy...

Up until the weekend of November 23rd, I had nothing but praise for Nokia after choosing their Nokia Lumia 720 Windows 8 Phone. I was wary of going with WP8 as it was less supported by third party software for apps compared with iOS and Android, but its functionality impressed me for its entry range standing as a model.
That weekend, after a series of Application and a phone update, the screen started experiencing issues with random movements of the screen making it unusable. Both soft resetting and resetting to factory defaults failed to resolve the issue, so on Monday November 25th, I contacted Nokia Care LIVE Chat via the support website to see if there was anything they could suggest to resolve the problem.
They advised me to take it to my locla registered Nokia Care Point, which was right near the train station I use to go to and from work, which I did the next day. Left the phone with them and was told to come back in an hour. I returned and they had managed to fix that issue, they had reloaded the phone's firmware and software to an "in the box" level, and for good measure replaced the screen and the speaker inside. I could not have been more happy with the service, it was quick and more then I could have hoped for.
Then sadly, during setting up the phone to use as it had been wiped, I noticed that the command buttons at the bottom of the phone were no longer lighting up as they had done before. I then noticed that the camera was not working, front or back, it was not being recognised by the phone and all I had was a back screen. I called the Nokia Care point and told them, they said no problem just bring it back and they will sort it. I did the next day, same thing, left the phone with them for an hour but this time, returned to the shop to be told "there is lots wrong with the phone, we need to send it back to Nokia and it could take one to two weeks to come back.
So my phone went in with one issue, not fixed 100%, returned to me broken and told "its all good" then within 24 hours my phone is made even more broken, so broken the registered and certified Nokia Care Point are unabe to correct the faults they made, and need to send it off for a full repair or replacement under the warranty.
Sounds simple doesnt it?  I took in a faulty phone, whcih was then made even more faulty by the Nokia Care Point, so when I contacted Nokia Care by LIVE Chat to say that I was unhappy with losing my phone, which was under warranty, for up to two weeks because of a botched repair attempt by their own certified Care Point and asked if I could have a replacement.
Then it got really messy. Was told that even though its under warranty, no replacement could be issued until the main repair centre had assessed the phone, check to see if they coud repair it, now for a 3rd time in seven days, before a decision would be made about if a replacement was justified. Even though it was their own Care Point which broke the phone requiring them to look at it in the first place. I was told to give it 48hrs for them to recieve the phone, which I did and contacted them on the Friday only to be told that my phone had not reached them yet.
Monday comes and I get a phone call from the Nokia Care Complaints team, which my case and complaint had been forwarded onto, telling me that my phone has yet to be assessed by the engineers. So no work had been done on the phone at all, so no decision could be made about a replacement. Tuesday ( today ) I get another call and this time the phone has been looked at but apparantly they are now waiting for a part for the phone, with no eta of delivery time, I repeat my request to have a replacement phone, saying that it should not be me as the customer that has to keep being patient for Nokia Care to rectify an issue with my phone that they created in the first place and that the very least they can do is offer me a replacement so I can carry on as normal whilst they sort out how the repair went so wrong in the first place, aso that the compensation offer of a £10 Nokia Music voucher for a service that is already free to Lumia users and then the offer of a bluetooth headset which the 720 doesnt have was equally pointless and that they should do better. Was told they would put the request in but again cant make a promise it will happen.
An hour a go I took a phonecall from the Nokia Complaints team asking me, which is redundant as I have no choice in the matter, to give them 24-48 hrs for them to complete they investigation or review of my case, so thar brings it to the end of this week meaning any replacement or return of a refitted repaired phone wont happen till at least next week, taking it to two weeks of not having a working phone since taking it to them on the 26th November.
So far, I have never been made to feel more worthless and valueless as a customer by any company whose products or services I have used. From the point at which my phone was made even worse by a failed repair by a certified and registered Nokia Care point to the utter nonsense of endless Nokia Care Customer service which hides behind policies designed to protect Nokia rather then the customer when it comes to repairs and faults.
I am left with no faith in any part of the Nokia Care system from the Care Points, to the service you receive via LIVE Chat on the Nokia Support site to using their Twitter support via @Nokiahelps to even speaking with their non UK Call centres. I have no faith that I will get a replacement phone even though the phone will have had so many new parts it might as well have just replaced instead of multiple repair and software reloads in the two weeks the phone will be out of my posession (factoring in the next week as I dont expect to see it returned or replaced)
I say to anyone looking to use Nokia Care, which your phone still in warranty, especially in the UK, is to go through the network provider your contract is with rather then direct with Nokia Care. I have encountered nothing but poor service and atrocious customer care in every regards for a problem that was originally a fault due to software updates but led to the Care Point taking the phone apart and creating new faults, something which Nokia Care still wont accept is a viable reason to replace the phone.
If you do have your phone repaired in a Nokia Care Point, make sure you test every aspect of the phone before you leave, but I suggest sending back via your contract provider. I hope what I have been through and continue to go through with this experience of Nokia's idea of Care, is enough warning to others and that no one else suffers similar issues.

Same here I have Lumia 920, 3 days after I bought it the device had an overheating problem and once the phone is off, I have to work hard to turn it on again, from soft resetting and hard resetting it After that I brought the phone to Nokia Care Center (I'm Indonesian by the way) in the NCC Branch in my province. 2 days after that, they told me that the problem was solved and asked me to take the phone. When I got there and the Costumer Service want to give me the phone, she try to turn on the phone, but she can't. She take the phone to a room (I don't know maybe it's the repairman room or whatever) and when she got out she told me that the problem is still exist and they will brought my phone to the NCC Center in other province. I have to wait for 2 weeks. Can you believe it? 2 weeks WITHOUT ANY PHONE? I have to buy another low-end phone that time.
After that the phone back to normal, But Then another problem come, after update my phone to Amber, my phone can't use Nokia Pro Cam (at that time, before Nokia Camera out), Bing Vision, Maps, Glance Screen, Auto Rotate, and GAMES. at first I just have to restart the phone to turn it back, but then the problem is not solved after I restart, even then, I did a hard reset but the problem is still there. Last friday, I brought my phone to the Nokia Care Center, they asked to take it the next day, but AGAIN! The problem is not solved, and they said I have to wait until the newest software update to come so the problem can be solved. Today, still no news or information from them, I don't know if I can trust Nokia Care Center again after this

  • Poor Service Record of Nokia Care Centers in India

    Hi
I have a Nokia N95 1st Generation SmartPhone. I am trying to get a body replacement for the phone along with keypad and all other panels.
I tried to get the same from Nokia care center @ Noida (Sector-2, Micronas Telecom), India. Even After they kept my handset for over a month , I had to fight to take my set back from then without the body replacement as they did not have the availability of the external body for whole month .(That's the reason I got).
Fake and duplicate (Near -Original copies) of this external body are available in market but i don't want to risk my phone usage experience and ease by buying those. Then, I do not know what to do now and whom to approach as nokia care centers dont even bother answering there customer care phones in Noida.
My experience with Nokia I would say is  - Phones - Good .... Service and Support - Very Very Poor.
This forum would probably be my last try to attract attention from any Nokia people or anyone who can help me out on this. Any suggestions from users are welcome. Please help asap.

I agree dude, Nokia service too bad...
Do you know once a reporter asked Toyota person "I can see Maruti service stations everywhere, but no Toyota's, is this is what is your after sale service?"
Toyota person replies saying "they need service for their cars after sales, but we do not need to, you do not see any broke down Toyota"
Just see number of Nokia care centers getting opened all over India. (But really the way Nokia Care Centre people behaves is pathetic they do not even know how phone behaves and what actually the phone got).
One of NCC's girl say's do factory reset your phone will be fine, he asks what does my contents she says it is intact, only if you give to us then your contacts will be vanished lol

  • By-passing Nokia Care Center

Hi, I'm an N85 user from Thailand--or rather was as my phone was broken within a week after the date of purchase.
My phone has been sent in for repair for over 2 weeks. And even though the customer representatives I've spoken to all say the phone is a defect and the whole main board "needs to be replaced" (not repaired i.e. only the plastic covers are ok), Nokia is unwilling to give me a new phone. On the other hand, all of the 4 customer representatives I've talked to confirm that they don't know whether spare N85 main boards are available in Thailand or Asia; where they will get the new main board from; or how long it will take.
I find it very strange that I should be kept in the dark as Nokia Care knows and admits that my phone is a defect. (my experiences with HP and Canon are utterly different)
I know that Nokia Care in Thailand is outsourced to MLink, a local electronics merchant; and I have a feeling that the way I have been treated is specific to Nokia Care Thailand and NOT Nokia in general. As such I would appreciate it if you could share with me a way to by-pass Nokia Care. Every time I click on "Contact Us" or go to the country page it pretty much takes me to people staffed by MLink. This makes it impossible for me to raise my issue to non-outsourced Nokia people.
    Help appreciated!

    @mccbleue,
I did make that point ("reasonable time" ) to Nokia Care. In fact, it was probably this very point* combined with my formal notice to them of my intent to file a complaint to the Consumer Protection Agency and the police that magically made it possible for them to locate a new main board within 24 hours. They also just called me and said their would drop off my repaired phone (new main board) at my office next Tuesday. Let's see if it works properly (from many discussions on this forum it appears that more often than not 'repaired' phones are not really repaired).
*mccbleue is absolutely right. If your phone is not fixed within reasonable time, you have a good case that Nokia is engaging in a deliberate act to wean itself off its warranty obligations.

  • Dust under screen of E71. Do Nokia care points eve...

Ok people bit of a moan really, which I need to get off my chest. I have taken 2 handsets to a Nokia care point and both times I have just walked out p****d off. This time I had an E71. It has a load of dust under the screen in the top left corner and also dust on the camera lens. When you activate the camera there is a black smudge in the top left of the picture. To be honest I noticed the dust after the first month but managed to ignore it. It has now got very bad and realising dust was on the camera lens was the last straw. The phone is under a year old by 3 months. It is in very good condition as I look after my phones, screen protectors etc and has the latest firmware on, version 400.
Now I emailed Nokia asking the best cause of action. I got this response:
"Thank you for contacting Nokia Care.
Sorry to hear that your E71 has a dust inside the screen. As much as we want to help you have a new replacement unit, we are not authorised to do so. We strongly suggest you to send your device on our respected Nokia Care Points. Please be advised that all assessments and repair services on our products are carried out at the Nokia Care Points. A qualified technician will assess your handset and repair it.  The phone will be covered under warranty provided you have your original proof of purchase and all standard warranty conditions are met."
Note the last bit as it will be important. I took the phone today and the bloke told me there would be a £45-50 charge to have the phone cleaned, which to be honest I really don't want as I'm guessing the same will happen again a month later. I've read people having exactly the same issue on this forum. Plus there is no way I'm paying that amount of money. Didn't even ask for proof of purchase by the way.
I then took it to my mobile provider shop where it has now been sent away for free. I thought I may as well. They told me they may replace the handset, which to be honest I hope they do.
Has anyone had this level of 'help' through Nokia care points? I just think it's disgusting. What's the point of these '2 year' warranties that Nokia offer with their phones when all the Nokia care points want is money from you!!
Any way rant over. I just hope my phone doesn't come back in worse condition than what I sent it off in, since there was not a scratch on it, just a lot of dust :-/
    Ben

send it to a nokia care centre dont attempt yourself it will void warranty if this shop is an official nokia store they will send it an official nokia centre
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.

  • Nokia care Belle software update

To put it bluntly, I would like to know how long would it take for Nokia Care to update belle to my N8?
Being a pre-order customer for the N8, I also had a faulty unit which was replaced and has the code 059B656. Althought I think it is unfair to make us go to nokia care just to get the update considering we were one of the first to purchase the n8.
What's done is done. I don't have good experiences at nokia care and prefer to do things on my own. The bottom piece of my N8 broke early on and a replacement was supposed to take 3-4 hours. I insisted if it takes that long just provide me the new piece and I'll install it myself. Well after some hassling they managed to get it done in 1 hour. To unscrew the broken piece, screw in a new piece and a bit of paper work and putting things in the parts bin (I assume).
My friends N8 took 2 weeks to come back from a swap, mine took 1 week to come back from a swap. I'd rather not be without my phone. A simple thing such as a software update I hope someone from Nokia can guarantee maximum of 1 1/2 hours to install provided there are not many customers. I am a tolerable person.
what's done is done. Lets move on to the most critical question:
Has anyone updated their N8 to belle at an NCC yet? Please highlight your experience.

Well, I was in a jolly mood and planned my day around the expected 3 hours. So sent in my N8 first person as it opened at 10am. Sat at starbucks for 3 hours doing my work thanks to long life of the asus notebook. Collected at 1pm. Belle is now on my phone. I'm worried now, what about other updates? Will the swap unit still be able to do OTA and Nokia Suite updates? My wifes unit is not a swap unit and recently had important updates to her phone, of which I didn't have any.
I sure won't want to lose another 3 hours + few more hours restoring apps and data for future updates.

  • Worst nokia care and awesome nokia technicians

baught my lumia jus 1 month back...the screen was loosely fixed....and whenever i pressed a bit hard and swipe horizontally the screen would move.....
send it to nokia care (Country:india,
    `state:kerala,
    place:Thrissur)
on primary investigation from nokia care team, they told me that it was a feature of all lumia 800s.(damn good)
so i requested them to please show it to some one who has some technical knowledge.so they send it to nokia factory(DELHI(india))
After 15days, that is today, i received my lumia back in exactly the same condition i gave it.
The screen was still loosely fixed.
cheers to nokia technicians in the nokia factory.
Nokia care team told me they will again send it for 15days.i said enough.
Selling my nokia lumia 800 tomorrow....i dont know if anybody would wanna buy it.......

I had problems with my lumia 800, the first time I sent it in, it came back scratched etc, the display was just destroyed for a new phone, so I sent it bavk in again, and got a new device all together, it was some nokia certified warranty center that handled my case the first time.
I have to say though that these days such service is not common anymore, so I think nokias customer care is actually good.
And being a former iPhone user, and a long term nokoa user before that, I prefer the lumia over my iPhone hands down, the build quality and os, pretty much everything is just better.

  • I'd like to know nokia care processs ?

I bought my C6 in mid of auguest. I can not use sterio Jack. The problem is I know after 10 days  I bought C6. I send to nokia care to fix the problem. The last respond from nokia is waiting to change borad in mobile. I think the problem is from factory. Right now (almost 1 month). My C6 still waiting a spare part.
         I'd to know
              - Do you have limit time or process to repair phone (waiting for spare part) ?
              - Do you have policy to change phone with from factory problem ?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for respond,
NOKIA is global brand, not new brand or China compatiable mobile. They must have product responsibility, not upto country.  They must have standard to all branch and all process. All product saleing in country must have spare part to repair...  or spend a few time to shipment. I think i have the right to receive new replacement with from factory problem. Not depend on country. It's depend on NOKIA.  Good supprt is the one factor who buy the new phone. All people want new feature TO USE and good support , Not only mobile fashion to carry or in process repair.  They have many mobile brand to get your market share.  My C6 is not the first mobile I bought from NOkia. This case has effect for me to get new phone in the future.
My country have "NOKIA CARE" shop, not "NOkia NO-CARE" shop.

  • Nokia care - is this a joke

    Hi,
I just sent my lumia 800 in for 2 reasons: the battery & spots on the screen on low brightness.
Just got it back and all they changed is the shell & camera module (which probably is part of it)
**bleep**?! I ask for screen & battery repairs and I get a new shell? don't get me wrong. It is nice to have it scratch free, but I get the impression this is just to trick me into thinking I have a new phone.
I am probably going to send it back again (3 times and they have to replace it if I understood well).
Anyway, if you need more details on the person/company who did the repairs please ask. For your information I live in Paris, France.

What about the battery? Does it use the same method as used on the screen? This is probably software issue. Your battery may be the defected one. For the screen, I think it is normal, again. Why don't you ask the Nokia Care? If the Nokia Care that you visited days ago does not have good service, go to another nearest Nokia Care. Maybe the service there is better. Anyway, good luck on your phone.
If I have helped you in any way, give me a kudos!

  • Nokia Car Mode with Mirrorlink

According to several other discussion threads, download issues with Nokia Car Mode with Mirrorlink for Belle FP2 devices are still not solved.
At this time (tried on a Symbian Belle FP2 device) the Mirrorlink app in Nokia Store (http://store.ovi.com/content/268973) shows itself as "installed" and cannot be purchased and downloaded (because of the firmware integrated free Nokia Car Mode app in FP2).
Do you know any safe solution how to purchase / download this app?
(solutions mentioned in other threads: using an other Belle FP1 phone for purchasing and then transferring the downloaded install package, etc...)

well I didn't have any friends with nokia/symbian^3 devices so I had to try the delight cfw / nokia cooker method posted here somewhere (can't find the exact post again), anyway, i did that, i was able to buy the app from store, and then I switched back to oficial belle fp2 firmware and I was able to update the existing non MirrorLink app to the paid one.
And finally after a good week of forums and stuff I got to use my phone with my alpine headunit, was so happy and then disaster... the music player in belle fp2 has that album art view in landscape mode, and as far as the phone is connected to the head unit is always in landscape mode, I find it pretty hard to search music that way, especially with my music library which is... well bad organized, most songs are in unknown artist / album... do you guys know any music player for belle fp2 with a winamp like functionallity - to be able to sort playlist by path(folder name) and file name, and does not base on any id3 tag from songs?

  • Nokia Care Center will not accept my N97

I purchased my N97 at the Nokia flagship store in Hong Kong while there on vacation. I am now living in the Netherlands. I emailed the Nokia customer care center to tell them about my faulty GPS. They told me to send the phone to one of their care centers because "N97 integrated GPS receiver is having some issues pickling up GPS signals. Before doing this method, we suggest that you provide us first with the IMEI or the serial number of your device." I emailed them my serial number, but they sent me an email reply saying that I need to send the phone to a Nokia Care Center in Hong Kong.
Besides complaining and arguing with them by email, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get a Nokia Care Center here in Europe to take a look at my phone? Am I being too unreasonable to expect that my N97 can be repaired regardless of where I am in the world?

Hi, I have some sympathy for you, and morally I think they should (and if you walked into a Nokia care centre you may get a little joy face to face) However legally the response , I believe, is correct. I work in the motor trade, and many car warranties are region specific, you may get a 3 year warranty with a car, of which the first year may be pan-european but the second and third may be UK only (I live in england), the same car sold in europe may get only a one or two year warranty, and if that car were imported from outside the EU (say Australia or USA)then it would have no warranty whatsoever in the UK or mainland Europe, simply because many products are 'region specific' and so the warranty covers the area they were built for.
Hope you get some joy, and at least you can post a phone, a car, refridgerator or washing machine would be more problamatic. I would contact Nokia direct and see if they would provide you with some 'Good Will ' unfortunately this is not the place to seek help on this matter
    Good Luck

  • Connecting 6822 to TomTom via Nokia car kit

I am trying to connect my handset to my TomTom sat nav and can get the two units to connect via Bluetooth, but not if the handset is in the holster, when the Bluetooth connection does not work.
At a guess, the holster/car kit is not Bluetooth enabled but can anyone confirm this? If so, is my only option to replace the holster?
    Thanks in anticipation.

As soon i re-attach the 6230i the car kit works fully again, including the mic/ speakers.
I am doing something wrong?............any ideas please?
I don't drive so I'm going to ask probably what seems like a stupid question to you ....
Are you using a cable or Bluetooth to connect to the in car kit ?
If you're using Bluetooth then chances are the system you're currently using is incompatible with the E65 at the moment as the E65 wasn't around when the 6230i was created The good news however is that a fix MAY be available if the vendor has updated the firmware to resolve this.
If you're using a cable then I would check to see if there's a new cable for use with the E65. According to Nokia you can use the same cable (CA-53) to connect to both the 6230i and the E65 - but that is for phone to PC. Your cable *MAY* be slightly different.

  • Nokia OVI Suite and Nokia Care Support

Today I called Nokia Support, because I could not download maps with map loader.
The guy asked if the ovi suite is installed. I told him, that the Ovi suite keeps on crashing on start-up on my machine, and that all other software is running fine, e.g. the PC suite which I am using instead.
For a price of 14 Cent/Minutes this "Nokia-Care"-guy had the nuts telling me that probably my computer needs to be fixed. After telling him that my computer works fine with all other software, he finally told me that I need to call Microsoft, as it would be their fault that Ovi Suite is not running on my machine.
This is a poor joke called "Nokia-Care". Dear Nokia-people, that is no-support and no-care-at-all. Providing something that crashes for free, and charging money for providing rudeness on the phone.
