Graphing engine is not responding. in OBIEE 11.1.1.6
Hi,
I did install OBIEE 11.1.1.6 and publised my earlier 'RPD & Catalog' (of version 11.1.1.5).
On dashboard, some of the graphs are not visible and having the following error message:
Graphing engine is not responding.
A fatal error occurred while processing the request. The server responded with: oracle.bi.nanserver.fwk.exception.BISvsException: java.lang.NullPointerException.
When I look into log file; I see following log:

Dhar,
Thanks for the direction, as I ran 'Scan & Update Catalog Objects' from Administration tab, it update lot of objects but the error "Graphing engine is not responding" still appears on Dashboards.
Also, when I checked log file, it seems to be giving following error: ([tid: 3996] RPCServer returned a error: Error while executing DVTChartRpcCall.processMessage)

Hi All,
When i select Currency column in my report graph displaying bellow error.otherwise it is working fine.
I selected data format is currency and symbol is $.
Graphing engine is not responding.
A fatal error occurred while processing the request. The server responded with: oracle.bi.nanserver.fwk.exception.BISvsException: java.lang.NullPointerException.
Any Help...Which type of Graph you are using? What version of OBIEE are you using? This is a known bug when reports are upgraded from 10g to 11g and is commonly seen in versions of OBIEE 11.1.1.5 and above. Refer to the following:

Graph Not visible in OBIEE 11.1.1.6
Hi,
We had developed the solution in OBIEE 11g(1.5) version then we migrated to OBIEE 11g (1.6) version. Now the issue is few of the graph's are not visible after migration.
Also even if I recreate the graphs and try to remove the decimal places by overwriting the default in column properties>Data format the graph becomes invisible again.
and when I run the report after unchecking the check box of overwriting the default data format I can see the graph.
what can be the reason & what is the solution?
Thanks & regards

V8.2 "Not Responding" when updating XY Graph Prpoerties
LabVIEW 8.2 running on Windows XP crashes (slows to mouse clicks then gets reported as "Not Responding") when I try to format the plot properties (color, weight, etc) on a multi-plot XY Graph.
ST1,
Could you provide us with some more details so that we can better help you?
How much data must be graphed to cause the slowdown (both data-points and plots)?
Does this happen with any multi-plot XY chart or just in one VI?
Is your XY chart inside a tab control or similar structure?
Is your computer running low on memory when this happens?

CAM 6.0 - FMS engine may not be responding
Hi,
after installation CAM 6.0 on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1 English, I can login to webinterface start CAM and everything works fine.
If I restart SLES, login to webinterface is possible, however after starting CAM I get the following error:

Uninstalling and installing solves the problem only temporarily (until next restart).
Any ideas?

Every time I open a search engine site (any) and place my request.
When the answers come up and I click on one of them my PC will freeze with a Mozilla Firefox is not responding and then I lose the whole page which becomes blank. I have to re-boot to start again.
I need the search engines and I can't use them if I don't want my PC to collapse.

ASA-SSC-AIP-5 Analysis Engine Not Responding
Every couple of days I have been noticing that the IPS is in bypass mode and the Analysis Engine Status is often shown as not responding or is still loading something, and naturally, the CPU is pegged at 100%... so I have been reloading the IPS when this happens.
2 Questions:
Any general pointers of what often causes this, or things that I should look for when this is happening? I know I did not give enough details for specific answers, but I am just looking for general ideas to start with.
More importantly, what syslog messages might show up in the logs when the IPS goes into Bypass mode? I'd like to setup a notification for these syslog messages so that I can troubleshoot immediately and determine the cause.
IPS Version 6.2(2)E4
Signature Version 559.0
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.3(2)13
Thanks.I would suggest that you upgrade the AIP-5 software to the latest version: 6.2.3(E4).
Here is the release notes where a number of memory related bugs have been resolved:
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282549758/38029/IPS-6_2-3-E4_readme.txt
You might also want to check if the AIP-5 module is overloaded with traffic, which can cause that issue. -
why is my ipad2 disabled, I can type in the search engine and this is working fine but the screen is shaded and is not responding to touch please advise
If the Reset does not work, try this.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data or Cache. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
if i were to use Google and look up something say i wanted a pic or video it wont work. or i search and want to search for something else i have to reset the web page. on any web page the top of the page does not respond for any function.
While i am here have another problem. I have had a h&r block website that auto loads from time to time. on its own now it is supposed to block pop up sites and this one gets threw. I do not want this its an aggravating.Hi,
Please see [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/911441 this.]
You can also check if this happens in [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode Safe Mode.] -
Really tired of waiting for Firefox Not Responding Msgs of late when opening a new tab and searching for something. It is not the speed of my Internet connection that is to blame and doesn't seem to happen if I use Yahoo or Google via Chrome for example. This problem only appeared some weeks/months ago and why, I have no idea.
I am a computer user, not a programmer and can only follow basic computer instructions - if I cannot resolve this frustrating 'Not Responding' message every time I wish to search for something then, I'll have to drop Firefox and use Chrome or similar as life is just too short.
Thank you.Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Logic 9 Session Suddenly Not Responding
Greetings,
I am suddenly having issues with a very important Logic session that I have worked on for months (and haven't had any issues with until now). The problem appeared seemingly overnight. I can open this particular session, the files and plug-ins load, and the arrange window is displayed. And then, I cannot do *anything* without getting the color spiral (which spins seemingly forever), until I option+command+escape and see that Logic is not responding. I force quit and get the following details (pasted below).
FYI - I tried to open other Logic Sessions, and all seem to be working fine. I have tried deleting my preferences, opening the session without my audio interface, I have reinstalled my operating system, and a 3rd party plug-in or two (that I suspected was the problem), and the problem remains.
PLEASE HELP!

When you do that, the assigned controller no longer functions as a normal message in Logic, and instead is used to control the currently active automation parameter on the current Arrange track. Try going into the Automation preferences and turn off Automation Quick Access.

My problems started when I downloaded Ilivid downloader, after I loaded the program and watched the short video the program started messing up my computer. It spread itself all over my hard drive, changed my homepage, my search engine, locked me out of being able to change certain settings, made some of its files undeleteable and since then my firefox will not load. I removed my version of firefox and reinstalled it several times. I still got the same response. I went into the registry and deleted all references to Mozilla and Firefox and reinstalled it again, same response. I spent days trying to delete all references to ilivid downloader and every file I could find that made any reference to ilivid. I hope you can help me with my problem. I like using firefox and would like to start using it again. Thanks

* [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]]
Try closing any running instances of ''firefox.exe'' (and plugincontainer.exe) using something such as Task Manager. That should allow you to then restart Firefox.
As for iLivid. Possibly it also has associated apps or extensions with names not including the word iLivid. Looking at their own FAQs there are instructions to remove iLivid using the Windows Control panel, and mention of other bundled software that you may wish to remove. It seems it is more of a nuisacne rahter than out and out malware.
* see http://www.ilivid.com/faq.htm (page scrolls for more info) but includes:
How do I uninstall the software?
The software can be removed in a simple was like any other software:
Go to the Windows Start menu and then to Control Panel > Add/Remove ("Programs & Features" in Vista & Windows 7) and click "Remove" next to the software name (e.g iLivid Download manager / Windows iLivid Toolbar ).
During the installation bundle software are offered, each can easily be removed following those instructions: Uninstall Yontoo Addon , Uninstall Search Toolbar (powered by Bing) or Uninstall Babylon.
