GZIP format not recognised in Java and winzip

Hi,
We are trying to achieve the following.
We are trying to zip some data in ABAP using the following CL_ABAP_GZIP and put it into a stream. Unfortunately, when we read the stream in the java client we get a "Not in GZIPFormat exception" and the same does not open using winzip. I have a feeling it is something to do with code redundancy checks (crc) which is not done in the ABAP class. Has anyone faced the same issue? Any suggestions?
Thanks and Best Regards,
Karthik

Hi Karthik,
did you check SAP note 644640? It might help you check actual kernel release.

  • Getting quite regular 'format not recognised'

When I try to select one of the movies for streaming from my computer to apple tv there will be a long pause with eventually a yellow triangle and 'could not be played as format not recognised'
This only began when I purchased an airport extreme.
The apple tv, and computers all connect via ethernet into the extreme.
To clarify the formats are correct and have been watched before. Infact frequently if I page pack then select the same movie again, it will more often than not start up just fine.
Has anyone else had this annoying problem?

Smokerz is probably right that when the network link is poor, it shows this error message which is stupid. It should instead say that the network link is of poor quality to support video streaming.
Having said that, my PC which is inside the computer cabinet shows excellent network link quality (-86dbmV noise level compared to a signal level of -50) and connected at 54mbps to my router. The Apple TV and the Philips HDTV is place above the same cabinet. If ATV doesn't have enough error recovery mechanism, then it is definitely a toy for the geeks.
Imagine if we were to connect to our remote servers once in 10 attempts and that connection would drop off after 2 minutes and then we were asked to reboot the servers and power cycle the workstations. Imagine that!

  • Airport utilities does not recognise windows 7 and will not load, how do I fix this?

Airport utiltiy will not load, it does not recognise windows 7 and I get an effor message telling me that it requires XP  or vista etc.
I have deleted and reloaded Airport Utilities, Bonjour and Itunes to no effect. Help!

well...i go only to the site "Test it here: http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml". After this i was able to go to a site with the title "Java Downloads for All Operating Systems" and here you download your JRE for your OS. For XP or Win 7 it was a java 6 update 29-b11. The file to install is named '''jxpiinstall.exe'''. After install an restart you go again to [http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml testvm.xml] and see that the java plugin works fine.... • Had an update error now itunes will not recognise my phone and it is frozen

I tried to update my iphone 3g tonight and it encountered an error. Now itunes will not recognise the phone and it is frozen on a screen telling me to connect it to itunes. I have turned it on and off and it remains stuck. I have restarted my computer and itunes and no change.

Hey- just went through something similar - and I'm sorry I don't have the perfect answer... bc mine did what you are saying except my itunes did recognize that "an iphone" was connected and so it suggested that I do a recovery-mode restore on it and then I did a back up restore via itunes to get my most recent back up transferred to my iphone, and then it finally listed my phone as "xxx's iphone" in itunes.... here's the link I used: http://www.copytrans.net/blog/how-to-restore-iphone-after-updating-to-ios-7/  and I also used: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
I think what you are saying is that itunes doesn't even recognize that your iphone is plugged in - so you can't start the recovery process?  I DO know that in the hours of me muddling through the internet - googling this issue - that I did see other posts of those who plugged into itunes, and it didn't recognize their iphone, but they DID have suggestions on how to deal with the problem... while I don't have "the" solution, I wanted you to know I did see an answer out there - just skimmed past it as I was searching for mine... sorry I don't remember good luck!

  • Why can not I open WinRAR and WinZIP via MS Web Folder?

Why can not I open WinRAR and WinZIP via MS Web Folder?
For example, If you attempt to open the zip-file error: "Invalid fileid: <file name> ".

    Hi -
I am unable to replicate your issue. I am able to open winzip files just fine through MSWebFolders. Your Windows client may have an older version of the Web Folder Client (MSDAIPP.DLL). Can you find that file on computer (should be in common files\system\oledb) and check the version (right click --> properties -->version flag). We support 12.0.6415.1000. There may be issues with older versions of that file (some of those issues are discussed here - http://greenbytes.de/tech/webdav/webfolder-client-list.html).
Office 2007 SP2 provides the most recent version of MSDAIPP.DLL

  • Itunes not recognising my ipod and windows asks me to format

Itunes is not recognising my Ipod when I connect to my PC.  I've been using it for 8 years so this is out of the blue.  I get this flashing up:
    "Microsoft Windows
You need to format the disc in Drive N before you can use it.  Do you want to format it?"
    Bottom right of my screen
Safely remove hardware and eject media gives me the option to "Eject Apple iPod USB device"
I did that and now find my iPod has wiped all my stored items and I've had to reset date etc.  Is this a Windows or an Apple problem?

I'm afraid I got so frustrated with the PC crashing that I threw in the towel and ordered an iPod touch this morning after tentatively syncing my mini iPad this first, with no problems, just in case it was the PC.  Iv'e changed it to wifi syncing now as a further precaution.
If I can get the Classic to work again I can at least try to sell it as a functioning model.

  • IPod not recognised, locking up and not playing tracks.

I am really hoping someone can help me. I have a 30Gb ipod that keeps locking up, it won't play certain tracks (it just hngs and then eventually skips that track).
I am pretty sure that restoring the ipod would fix this but neither of my 2 PCs will let me. When I connect the Ipod to either computer all I get is the do not disconnect screen. iTunes will not recognise that it is connected, and if I try iPod Updater then it normally just hangs. Sometimes updater will give a message that the iPod is being used by another process, but not always. I can see the iPod in windows explorer, if you click on it though it just stops explorer responding. It is also shown in device manager.
I have been through all of the options suggested on the website (5R's) and still no change. Do any of you guys have any other suggestions? Would taking it to an apple store help me? The nearest store is 50 miles away, so I would like to know if it would be worthwhile.

Re-Format your IPOD using Windows and then "Restore" using the updater. Formatting will take severaL HOURs, so don't rush it.

  • My ipod Shuffle Gen 2 is not recognised by itunes AND computer...!!

Hi my ipod shuffle 2nd gen is not being recognised by my computer. I have installed the new itunes and it does not recognise it either.
However it does a little flash thing with the lights when i ccnnect it, but then they turn off. I know that this means it needs restoring. But how can i restore it if the computer doesnt recognise it??
    thanks!

I'm also having the same problem with my 2nd gen iPod Shuffle. iTunes on my Mac does not recognize it and will not sync with it. Occasionally, iTunes will recognize it but then when I try to sync it, iTunes then does not recognize it.
Interestingly, when I hook this Shuffle up to iTunes on my Windows machine, it does recognize it and will sync up.
What might be the problem here and how can it be corrected? If anyone has any thoughts/solutions, please let us know.
    Thanks...

  • "date format not recognised" in DBMS_SESSION, on page over db_link

    Hi,
I have an Apex 4.0 page which has a region that gets data constituted from a connection across a database link.
The host database is 11.1.0.6 and the remote database is 9.0.1. (Both Standard Edition)
    I am using EPG.
Intermittently, I receive the following error (having turned debugging on):
    Wed, 25 Aug 2010 10:21:53 GMT
ORA-20867: ORA-01821: date format not recognized
    ORA-02063: preceding line from CLIFF
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SESSION", line 157
    ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW_LANG", line 387
    ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.WWV_FLOW", line 9284
    ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.F", line 267
    ORA-06512: at "APEX_040000.F", line 294
    ORA-06512: at line 30
I'm somewhat confused as to what is causing the generation of this error.
After receiving this error, anything I else that I do that involves building 'pages' works perfectly fine. I can login/out, no problems.
However, if I try and RUN any page within my application thereafter (all of these access local DB information apart the 1 that generates the error), I continue to receive exactly the same error - no matter which page I am trying to access.
    Help?
    - Tony.

    Hi Patrick,
No. I haven't yet applied the patchset. May do that this afternoon now.
I don't believe I've manually set any date formats anywhere. Just entered the Builder with default options (apart from choosing a theme) and away I went!!
What surprises me is that the application has no problems viewing all the data. The functionality all seems fine. I had this working on a previous setup for months,. without any problems, using version 3.2. (This wasn't migrated though, this was a rebuild from scratch.)
From further "tests", the error seems to occur when I edit the page that involves the remote data.
Normally, a user would land on the page from having used a hyperlink column on a previous page's classic report region.
The point at which it all starts to go wrong is if I connect to the page as normal, but then EDIT the page, and then try and re-run it.
The problem with the date format then re-occurs repetitively, no matter which page I try and view. Sometimes pages will load some components, but then generate odd errors with others. e.g. I have a small series of 3 dial charts, all with slightly varying SQL series (same SQL, slightly different where clause). Now I am seeing that 1 may load and 2 may give odd flash errors...
Right now, I just tried to Export my application - and I still got given the date format error!! Sub-sequent retries allowed the operation to complete successfully.
The only way I seem to be able to eradicate the recurring errors is to kill all the currently connected ANONYMOUS users in the DB, and then relog to the application.
    - Tony.

  • HT1492 my wireless keyboard will not recognise Q-O and Z-M

Hi my Wireless Keyboard does not recognise half the keys. I have gone through all the troubleshooting  basics but nothing has changed.
It is the top row of letter Q-O (but P works) and the botton row Z-M.  any ideas?(I am using a wired keyboard right now!)
    Thanks

Moderators can delete this post. (I don't see any option to edit or remove)
...I'm an idiot. My power supply wasn't connected properly. (the light was green, not red to indicate charging)
Once I fixed that, everything is working properly.
