Handling incoming XML assignment to webservice !!!

Here is the brief of the issue we are facing while creating the BPEL process for a service of a Sub process.
The WebService created for the subprocess has followed WSIF Binding.
As the response is coming in XML and in an intact way, our focus is to handle
each value from the response separately. The response may have array of values or single values. We are not able to handle this through SOA Suite 10.1.3.
Can anyone help us in that?
This is urgent !

<quote>Suppose you get a XML of 10 elements and out of which only 2 elements we are going to pass to another webservice through bpel ...it could be single row of data or an array of data.... How to do that?</quote>
1) The input message of the webservice you're invoking should support a single row or array. So basically, if you have included a minOccurs="0" and maxOccurs="unbounded" to that element this should work.
2) You have to create a transform (or assign) activity before invoking the webservice. In a transform activity you create (or use an existing) XSLT file. In this XSLT file you can use constructs like for-each, value-of, copy-of etc., filtering, etc. to only select those rows (2 out of 10 in your example) to assing to your input variable of the webservice.

  • Charset conversion of incoming XML documents

    XML documents may contain data in other charsets than SAP's UTF-8. I'm using the ixml lib in ABAP.  Using 'get_encoding', I can determine the incoming document's charset, but it seems only after having parsed it. I'd like to convert the entire document to the current SAP charset before processing.  I didn't find a way in the ixml methods to do this, so I imagine I'll have to use CL_ABAP_CONV_IN_CE somehow.
    What's the best way to handle non-SAP charsets in incoming XML documents?

  • Does income xml request get validated against wsdl?

    Hi, there:
    I'm using document/literal web service. My question is: Does income xml request get validated automatically against wsdl complex type xml schema? If not is there any configuration way we can set to validate income xml request automatically?
    I searched posts in this forum, it seems the same question was asked long long time ago already, but no answer. So, I want to check that question again.
    I simply tested my web service by using soapUI, it seems no xml validation implemented on any request at all.
    Highly appreciated if any help or comment, thanks a lot in advance.
    David

    Thank you very much jwenting for the reply. We are using jbossWs.
    Yes, I definately agree that it's very cool that wsdl is generated on the fly, and all xml message is parsed to java bean automatically by jaxb. However, my 2 cents is:
    1. How can I generate other xml schema restrictions in wsdl on the fly except "enum" (ex. pattern, minInclusive, maxInclusive etc.)? Currently, it seems only @XmlEnum can generate "enum" restriction in wsdl automatically, no other restrictions could be generated automatically in wsdl.
    2. Even if I have those restrictions defined manually in wsdl, as it doesn't implement validation on income xml request, and I should do the validation inside my webservice logic, which means that even if I have those xml schema restrictions defined in wsdl, they are useless.
    That's the reason I want to check if anyway the validation can be implemented automatically on income xml request.
    Again, highly appreciated any further helps or comments. Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Sort incoming XML message

    Hi
    Is there a standard way in PI to sort the incoming XML message within the message mapping before doing the mapping itself?
    The scenario would be an incoming Flat file with header and item data records, and we will be mapping it in PI to create IDOC messages based on the same Header segment. So for the same Header Data I would like to create a single IDOC. But the incoming file would be unsorted, so I would need to sort it first based on the header segment some way.
    Ideally, we would like to do all of the mapping in the graphical mapping tool and not use a UDF.
    Thanks
    Edited by: MxG on Nov 20, 2008 5:04 PM

    I already tried Sort, but it doesnt work the way I want.
    Say I have inbound XML as
    <hdr1>
    <hdr2>
    <itm1>
    <itm2>
    <itm3>
    it needs to be mapped to an IDOC as
    <hdrsegment>
    <itmsegment>
    I mapped XML header data to IDOC after sorting, and that works fine. The issue comes on assigning the inbound XML Item data to IDOC Item segment. It is creating the correct Number of segments, but when assiging the fields to IDOC fields, it is using unsorted data ie the data as received, not the sorted one which I did for IDOC Node, and for Header fields.
    What I really want is to sort the data once, and then use that in the mapping.

  • How to binding incoming xml node list to the tree control as dataProvider

    Recently, I faced into one issue: I want to binding incoming xml node (it's not avaliable at start) list to the tree control as a dataProvider.
    Since the incoming xml node list is not avaliable at beginning but I needs to bind it to the tree, so I create one virtual one in the xml, and prepare to remove it before the tree is shown. (ready for the actual node adding). But It did not work.
    Please see the presudo-code here:
    1.  Model layer(CsModel.as)
    public class CsModel
            [Bindable]
            public var treeXML:XML=<nodes><car label="virtualOne" id="1">
                                   </car></nodes>;
            (Here, I want to build binding relationship on the <car/> node,
             one 'virtual/stub' node is set here with lable="virtualOne".
             But this node will be deleted after IdTree
             control is created completely.)
            [Bindable]
            public var treeData:XMLList =new XMLListCollection(treeXML.car);
    2. view layer(treePage.mxml)
            private var _model:CsModel = new CsModel();
            private function addNode():void
                    var newNode:XML=<car/>;
                    newNode.@label="newOne";
                    newNode.@id=1;
                    _model.treeXML.appendChild(newNode);
                             private function cleanData():void
                                     delete _model.treeXML.car;
            <mx:VBox height="100%" width="100%">
            <mx:Button label="AddNode" click="addNode()" />
            <mx:Tree id="IdTree"  labelField="@label"
              creationComplete="cleanData()"
              dataProvider="{_model}"/>
        </mx:VBox>
    3. Top view layer (App.Mxml)
    <mx:application>
        <treePage />
    </mx:application>
    For method: cleanData(),It's expected that when the treePage is shown, we first delete the virutalOne to provide one 'clear' tree since we don't want show virtualOne to the user. The virutalOne node just for building the relationship between treeData and treeXML at beginning. But the side effect of this method, I found, is that the relationship between treeXML and treeData was cut off. And this leads to that when I added new node (by click the 'addNode' button) to the xmlXML, the xmlData was not affected at all !
    So Is there any other way to solve this issue or bind the incoming xml node list to the xmlListCollection which will be used as Tree control's dataProvider ?

    If u want to display the name : value then u can do like this
    <xsl:eval>this.selectSingleNode("name").nodeName</xsl:eval> : <xsl:value-of select="name" />

  • Making a call over HTTPS with LoadVars, XML.load(), and WebService - Yes or No?

    Hello, do LoadVars, XML.load(), or WebService support HTTPS-based endpoints, Yes or No?
    BACKGROUND
    ============
    I've been trying to get a LoadVars to actually make a call to an HTTPS endpoint. There is nothing in the documentation that says it can't. I know that there's also XML.load() and WebService class, but from the looks of it they don't do HTTPS.
    During my tests I have absolutely no issues with making calls to the same service over HTTP. When I change it to HTTPS I don't see HTTPStatus or even failures. Also, netstat on my server will show a connection being established with the endpoint when using HTTP but not when using HTTPS. I've also tried setting SSLVerifyCertificate to "false" in my Server.xml and after a restart of AMS it doesn't help, same symptom.
    I've also googled and looked through all Adobe forum posts that I can find:

    The best I found from the posts above is a non-commital answer from adobe staff at https://forums.adobe.com/message/4938426#4938426 and a 3rd party person saying that Webservice doesn't work at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5619776/webservice-and-fms.
    All I need is an official supported/not-supported from the Adobe staff. Shouldn't be to hard after 5 years or so of ignoring the questions in the forum right?

    Adobe, please provide some details to your current and possibly potential customers, in at least one of the many unanswered posts about making HTTPS requests from AMS.

  • How to send incoming XML as mail-attachment

    Hi Experts,
    I have the following scenario: an incoming XML-file should be send as attachment of a mail. Now, I have defined incoming message with the structure of the xml-message and outgoing message as mail-package. In the message mapping I fill the nessesary mail-fields. In my receiver comm.channel (mailadapter) I checked "Use mail package" and "Keep attachment".
    Result is that the mail is created and send ok, but without attachment....what am I doing wrong here?
    Regards,
    William

    Hi JWD,
    You should configure the mail adapter with 'use the mail adpater' and 'keep attachments'.
    Create an XML file conform the XML structure provide by SAP
    The mail package should look like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <ns:MT_Mail_Sent xmlns:xi="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Mail/30">
    <xi:Mail>
    <Subject>Item</Subject>
    <From>MAIL ADDRESS</From>
    <To>MAIL ADRESS</To>
    <Content_Type>multipart/mixed; boundary="AaBb--984dfgeSSd3532"</Content_Type>
    <Content_Disposition>attachment</Content_Disposition>
    <Content>
    AaBb984dfgeSSd3532
    Content-Type: text/plain
    this is sample data.
    AaBb984dfgeSSd3532
    Content-Type: text/plain;name="CSV_data.csv"
    Order number;Item number;description<xsl:text> </xsl:text>
    <xsl:for-each select="Article_line">
    <xsl:value-of select="Ord_nmbr"/>;<xsl:value-of select="Item_nmbr"/>;<xsl:value-of select="Description<xsl:text>
    </xsl:text></xsl:for-each>
    AaBb984dfgeSSd3532
    Content-Type: text/plain;name="TXT_data.txt"
    Order number;Item number;description<xsl:text> </xsl:text>
    <xsl:for-each select="Article_line">
    <xsl:value-of select="Ord_nmbr"/>;<xsl:value-of select="Item_nmbr"/>;<xsl:value-of select="Description<xsl:text> </xsl:text></xsl:for-each>
    AaBb984dfgeSSd3532
    </Content>
    </xi:Mail>
    </ns:MT_Mail_Sent>
    In the above example you should have some content and 2 attachments (1 csv file and 1 txt file).
    After each break (AaBb984dfgeSSd3532) specify again the 'Content-Type'.
    *When you want to send a message payload as described, you have to set in the mail receiver channel the parameter Content Encoding to None and uncheck Keep Attachments.
    The last boundary AaBb984dfgeSSd3532 should be omitted, as the mail adapter sets that border itself (tested with SP16)*
    Reward points if this helps

  • XML DB Native Webservice - Procedure returning user defined TYPE

    Hi folks,
         I’ve used XML DB Native Webservice feature to expose some PLSQL Procedures and Functions as webservices.
         The feature works great, however I found a situation where XML DB is not able to generate the WSDL document.
         Here is an example of a procedure signature:
         Procedure LISTA_ESTADO (
    p_NomeEstado OUT NomeEstadoTB,
    p_IdEstado OUT IdentifUnico,
    vr_CodRetorno OUT CodRetorno,
    batch_size IN INT,
    out_batch_size IN OUT INT,
    status OUT INT)
         In this case, when I try to get the WSDL document, I receive the error message below.
         <soap:Envelope>
    <soap:Body>
    <soap:Fault>
    <faultcode>soap:Client</faultcode>
    <faultstring>Error processing input</faultstring>
    <detail>
    <OracleErrors></OracleErrors>
    </detail>
    </soap:Fault>
    </soap:Body>
    </soap:Envelope>
         The problem seems to be related with the first three OUT parameters, that are based on an user created TYPE.
    In this example, the TYPES are defined as:
         TYPE NomeEstadoTB IS TABLE OF CHAR(25)
    INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    TYPE IdentifUnico IS TABLE OF NUMBER(10)
    INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
    TYPE CodRetorno IS TABLE OF CHAR(10)
    INDEX BY BINARY_INTEGER;
         I’d like to know if XML DB can publish procedures like that as a webservice and if affirmative, how to do that?
    Thanks In Advance,
    Luis

    I am very new to this. New to Oracle, PL/SQL, OO programming or testing?
    set serveroutput on
    declare
      tst_obj ctype;
    begin
      tst_obj := pkg.proc(11);
      dbms_output.put_line('id='||tst_obj.id||'::code='||tst_obj.code||'::usage='||tst_obj.usage);
    end;
    /Generally I disapprove of the use of DBMS_OUTPUT (for just about anything) but it is sufficient to demonstrate the basic principle.
    Really you should start using proper testing practices, ideally with an automated test harness like QUTE.

  • Receiver determination based on the filename of the incoming xml file

    hi folks,
    is it possible to base the receiver determination from the filename (pattern) of the incoming xml file?
    suppose, if the filename is partner1.xml, then the receiver determination has a condition of partner1.  in this case, the message is received by partner1.
    any advise please?
    thanks!
    -lex

    Hi Lex,
    You can use Enhanced Receiver Determination for this. Do your normal mapping from source to target. And another mapping for the receiver determination. In that mapping you can use the UDF for Dynamic Configuration and set the filename as the receiver service name.
    Use the following blog for Enhanced Receiver Determination:

  • Ignore DTD declaration in incoming XML message

    Hi,
    I have an issue where I am receiving an incoming XML message which starts with a DTD declaration.
    This causes an issue with the XML parser step in the mapping because the parser attempts to resolve the DTD location. However this location is external and the PI server cannot access it.
    The location for reference is http://dtd.bibit.com/paymentService_v1.dtd
    Therefore I am investigating options to ignore the DTD declaration or removing it altogether prior to the XML parser step.
    I would hope I could use either XSLT or Java mapping but do not really know where to start.
    Can anyone please provide a method of doing this ? I would prefer to use XSLT but am open to other options.
    I have no control over the DTD declaration as it is supplied by a 3rd party application.
    Thanks
    Colin.

  • Incoming XML validation for SOAP adapter request

    Hi,
    Does anyone know of a method to validate incoming XML request against the relevant XSD definition and return a SOAP fault message to the calling application ?
    I guess this would involve BPM unless there is some sort of module that can be used.
    Please advise.
    Kind regards

    Hi Michal,
    Would you suggest a simple BPM or an adapter module ?
    I would hope a simple BPM would be the way it could be done.

  • Table Handling in XML Indesign Workflow

    Hi all,
    I have a question related to the table handling in XML workflow.
    The XML file have been imported to indesign for pagination purpose. Once the XML file have been imported all the tables and figure are came in Text Streams as INLINE, to make the figures and tables as floats we are draging from the XML structure to make it as floating instead of Inline, this is working for Figure.
    I am not able to drag the tables from the XML structure.
    Please help us to make the table float, is there is any script to make the table float or any other way.......
    kavya

    Hi Kavya,
    You have to create a dummy parent tag, now you can drag the parent tag to the frame.

    I created Handling Units with BAPI_HU_CREATE , Pack materials with BAPI_HU_PACK in to Handling Untis and assign handling units to sales order with BAPI_HU_CHANGE_HEADER . But These BAPIs are not doing packing sales order line items in to handling units . I have to go sales order and do sales order line item packing by clicking packing button.
    Could you please help on how to do packing Sales Order Line items in the background with BAPIs.
    Thanks in Advance.
