Headphones not working on external hub of Audigy 2 ZS Platinum

Hi,
I've just got a new Audigy ZS Platinum Pro for christmas, installed fine, but for some reason, I can't get the headphone jack to work on the external hub. I've tried a number of /4" adaptors, with a number of pairs of headphnes and played around with the MediaCentre settings, etc to no avail. Followed the instructions in the help document all to no avail. My external speakers work fine, and I have tried removing the external speakers and just having the headphones but it still doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I have checked all the other outputs/inputs of the dri've (Optical has red light) firewire is working, MIC is working, remote is working, so I think the dri've is getting power. Do you know of any other cases where the headphone jack was physicaly faulty? I plugged the headphones into the sound card itself last night and that worked, but it is not a sustainable solution, as my computer is on the floor and the cable is not long enough!
Any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Rob.

  • Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Not Working ! External Hub Has No Lights

In the device manager it shows 'multimedia audio controller' with a yellow '?' and '!' through it and when you click properties it says 'driver not installed'. I just installed the new driver pack w/ audio console from the creative site!!! What's going on?! I have no sound and no lights on my external hub! A little frustrating... any help would be appreicated. Thanks
The sound card itself seems to be working and songs can be played however the external hub has no lights and seems non-functional. I've tried it in several different pci slots. Is the hub supposed to light up upon bootup or do you have to turn it on with the remote? I think the remote battery may be dead but there should be some kind of lights on the hub unit once the pc is booted... Both AD.Link Cables are connected so this thing should be working..

Thank you for your help. It seems as if there is no power whatsoever, although the ad.link cables & 2 are both hooked up. Perhaps faulty cables or hub? Is there anything else that needs to be hooked up?Both were factory fresh before installation... I am unable to fix the driver issue using normal methods. I have tried re-installing the driver package from creative several times..

Right click your volume icon in the notification area and select "volume control options". From there, you should be able to select the external speakers.
    I hope that helps!
    Best of luck,

  • Out of office replies in Exchange 2013 not working for external recipients

    Hi,
Few days ago a couple of company workers went to vacation. They set up OOF automatic replies in OWA 2013. However automatic replies are not working for external recipients (outside of company). Internal users (company users) receive OOF notification.
I'm using smart host in sender connector configuration (SMTP server of internet provider) to deliver emails. Any clues about this problem ? Please find below part of the transaction log. For testing purposes i set up administrator account

    Hi Informus,
Please check if it is allowed in AllowedOOFType of the Remote Domain *
In Exchange 2013, the only way to see or change the current configuration for automatic replying and forwarding to the Internet is via the Exchange Management Shell (EMS) with PowerShell commands.
To get the currently configured Remote Domains, use:
    Get-RemoteDomain
    Name                           DomainName
    AllowedOOFType
    Default                        *
    External
Get-RemoteDomain Default | fl AllowedOOFType, AutoReplyEnabled, AutoForwardEnabled
    AllowedOOFType     : External
    AutoReplyEnabled   : False
    AutoForwardEnabled : False
To change the settings, use the Set-RemoteDomain command.
    Enable automatic replies
    Set-RemoteDomain -AutoReplyEnabled $true
    Enable automatic forwards
    Set-RemoteDomain –AutoForwardEnabled $true
Enable OOF for Outlook 2003 and previous (for Exchange 2007 and 2010 support)
    Set-RemoteDomain –AllowedOOFType $ExternalLegacy
To change all these properties at once, you can use:
    Set-RemoteDomain Default -AutoReplyEnabled $true –AutoForwardEnabled $true –AllowedOOFType $ExternalLegacy
    Note:
Valid settings for the AllowedOOFType property are:
    External
This is the default and only allows for the new style OOF messages as introduced in Outlook 2007.
    ExternalLegacy
This settings allows for both the new style and old style OOF messages and needs to be set if you want to enable external OOF support for Outlook 2003 as well.
    None
This setting doesn’t allow for the use of OOF messages at all (both internal and external).
    InternalLegacy
This setting only allows for internal OOF messages to be sent for all Outlook versions.

  • Touchpad and Keyboard not working (including external devices)

    Hi,
I am using an rmbp with win7 and macosx.
Win7 on my bootcamp partition was working perfectly(4 months+) until now .I restarted my system  and realized that the touchpad and keyboard are not working(inluding external mice/keyboard).I can boot into Macosx and the mouse and keyboard are working perfectly so its not a hardware problem.I havent set any restore points and have tried all the other recovery options (using f8 before booting) but to no avail
I have read some other solutions which involved opening the device manager but I cannot press anything when I login to windows.Does anybody have any idea except reinstalling windows? I would really appreciate any help !
    Cheers

I have even loaded my Bootcamp partition in parallels ,in hopes of repairing the installation from there but Parallels give an error about mouse coherence and I cannot use my keyboard and mouse there .
Does anyone have any other idea except reinstalling windows ? .Thanks !

  • Some attachment buttons not working from external networks

    Hi guys,
We have an eSourcing system that we access internally from server.internal.com . We also make this eSourcing system available to external vendors through www.external.com .
The external access is done using a Citrix AGEE system (reverse proxy, etc.). As part of this, the AGEE has the ability to change the hostname in the URL so the real server is hidden from external vendors. For example, when eSourcing generates a webpage, the AGEE searches through and replaces all http://server.internal.com references to http://www.external.com , and vice-versa for incoming calls.
This works for about 95% of the content, but there are a fer places where the links are not re-written correctly. One example is the File Attachment buttons when replying to a question. However, other file attachment buttons work correctly.
    1. Does anyone else have a similar situation, using a Citrix or other product for external vendors?
    2. Does anyone have a similar problem where certain links/buttons are not working from external networks?
    3. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this problem?
    4. Are there any settings that are specific to external access that may need to be set?
    Thanks guys for any help/insight.
    Michael.

SAP has re-written some of their code to help rectify the problem. We have also been working with Citrix to provide additional fixes. If anyone else has these problems, apply the latest patch of eSourcing and contact Citrix support to get the AGEE changes needed to make it work.

  • Lumia 630 dual sim headphones not working

After denim update on lumia 630 dual sim headphones not working properly in india

Hi, kingpawan. Is the issue the same when you're using another compatible headset? Are you experiencing this when you're watching a video? Did you happen to check if the phone's system settings are all updated? To do this, go to Settings > swipe to applications > store > check for updates. We'd love to hear your response. Headphones not working on new 4s. Any ideas?

When in system preferences/sound/output do you see the headphones there? If so select them.
Try plugging the headphones in and out several times (there is a micro switch that can get stuck)
Try toggling the volume keys while plugging them in.
    Try restarting with them plugged
Trya pram reset: with nothing connected
Power off, power back on holding the following keys:
    OPTION  COMMAND  P  R
continue to hold till you hear the start chime 2 times then release, rebbot.
If still no joy take it back to the Apple store, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to swap for another machine, or a refund, or have them fix it. Take full advantage of your warranty.

  • External headphones not working (unless plugged in at boot up)

    Hello,
I have a MBP 1st gen unibody running 10.5.7. However in last few days my headphones are not working when i plug them in. When i got into system pref-sound it still shows as internal speakers... this is where it goes weird tho: If i boot the machine up with the headphones in, they work fine and system prefs show them as headphones. But as soon as i unplug them and plug them back in, the machine doesn't recognize them anymore.
I have done the following with no luck:
    Repaired permissions
    Reset PRAM
    Created new user account
    Tried another set of headphones
    Reinstalled quicktime
Restored system from time machine backup
Did a full archive and install and tried it under 10.5.5 and was same then later did all the updates, still same.
I think i covered the basics.. its just weird it works when leaving headphones in on bootup then afterwards stops if i take them out and back in. I have booked an appointment at a genius bar but wonder is there anything ive missed before i go....
Any help, tips or tricks will be appreciated.

    Hey!
I'm having the exact same problem. Just bought a new MBP 13 inch with Snow Leopard already installed. I toggle a lot between having external speakers or headphones plugged into audio output. It was working fine for about the first week with the computer, but just started having the problem you describe-- not recognizing an external audio device plugged in unless I restart/put computer to sleep. Any solutions yet?
    Thanks!

  • Power to external hub of Audigy 2 ZS Pl

I recently bought an Audigy 2 ZS PL Pro sound card, and have (as many seem to have) problems with powering up the external hub. I try to be as specific about my questions as I can.
() I don't get clear about what is meant in the Quickstart Manual, step 3. Sofar, I have only placed the sound card in its slot, and tried to connect the 2 AD links appropriately. But should I do more than this to get the hub working? I see a mention of something called "power splitter cable". This is something I have not used, should I (there is a big OR in the manual that is really confusing)?
    (2) And here comes my second problem: I bought the card second hand (so I am not accusing Creative of anything, yet) and it seems that the seller did not include a power splitter cable in the package. So, I have to ask, if these are easily available things?

    bernt,
The power splitter is a pretty standard cable, it's the same type of connection as a floppy dri've uses. You should be able to get a power splitter like it in an computer/electronics store.
The power splitter/connection is needed for the external dri've. The card itself does not need extra power, but the external dri've connects to the card and needs power to operate.

  • Out of Office replies not working for external emails - Exchange 2010, Outlook 2010

    Hello.
We have two Exchange 2010 mailbox servers and a third for client access. There are two mailbox databases replicated to both servers as a DAG. There is also one 2003 legacy server that is awaiting decommissioning that is basically just heating the server
room - all the mailboxes have been migrated.
We have recently noticed that out of office replies are no longer working for external recipients, but are being sent for internal users.
I have checked under "Organisation configuration" - "hub transport" - "Remote domains" and made sure that is set to "Allow external out-of-office messages and legacy out-of-office messages"
Looking at the message tracking logs it appears that the out of office reply isn't generated for external users - we do have an external mail filter that inbound and outbound messages are relayed through but that isn't blocking anything.
This was working until recently, and I can't see any errors in the logs that look related. All three servers have been rebooted just in case.
Any suggestions where to look next?

    Hello,
You can capture a trace log to diagnostic
    the OOF issue:
    a. Start ExTRA by clicking Run on the Start menu and then entering the following command-line:
    Extra.exe
    b. On the “Welcome to the Exchange Troubleshooting Assistant” page click Select a task.
    c. On the “Troubleshooting Task Selection Screen” page click Trace Control.
    d. Click OK to the following prompt alerting you about possible performance problems running a trace:
This server does not have the module needed for interpreting traces.
Proceed only if this is being done under the direct supervision of a qualified Exchange support engineer.
    e. On the “Configure Trace File” page configure the following options:
    f. After configuring the options in step e, click Set manual trace tags.
    g. On the “Set Trace Tags Manually” page configure the following settings:
Check the following trace tags: InfoWorker.Assistants.OOF, all.
Note: Please expand all filter options, make sure that we did not check any filter options here. And run the trace again.
    h. Click Start Tracing at the bottom of the page.
    i.  Please reproduce this issue for 3-5 times. After reproduced this issue, stop the tracing and collect the ExchangeDebugTraces.etl
    Thanks,

  • Touchsmart 610-1030f webcam not working when external Hard Drive plugged in

Purchased a Touchsmart 610-1030f ...  problem when I have my Western Digital ( My book ) plugged in the Web cam will not work
and a usb hub error indicates that the Devise My Computer is not recognized ,everything works great but the webcam ,
and there is no issues with the external hard drive ( My book) ...  if I unplug the usb cable to the external hard drive and reboot the computer everything works but of course not the external hard drive because it is now unplugged ...... Help , I would like to keep the external hard drive plugged in all the time .....

The issue is the Canon camera not the brand of the external hard drive. Canon's implementation of the firewire prototcol seems particularly problematic. Acquiring another external hard drive from a different manufacturer is unlikely to fix the issue.
The reliable solution to your problem is to add a second firewire bus to your mac. Unfortunately only the G5 tower, MacPro or the MacBookPro come with the requisite slot to add a firewire card. Beyond the slot, the MacPro and G5 tower have the ability to add an additional internal drive which negates the need for an external drive for editing.
At this point you have three options from least to most expensive:
    1. capture to your system hard drive then move the files over to the external for editing.
    2. get a different camera/dv VTR to use as the capture device.
    3. get a MacPro or MacBookPro for your editing computer.
    Good luck.

  • One USB port does not work with external Disk or USB key

    Hello,
Back to my iMAC there is 3 USB port. The second one - in the middle - does not work pluging an external Disk, an USB key or an iPOD nano. However it works well connecting a Wacom tablet.
Is there an explanation to this behaviour ?
More the keyboard is plugded on USB port 1 and the mouse on the keyboard. Time to time - especially at reboot - I have to unplugged the mouse and plugged again it in order it works.
In advance thank you for your answers
    Regards

Since it does not work for three different devices, I will assume it is not something simple like a faulty USB cable. Since it does work for one device, I will also assume that the port is (at least partially) working.
As a test to narrow down the cause, I would try restarting from your Mac OS X installation disc (insert disc and restart with the C key held down).
At the first Installer screen (after language selection), go up the menu bar. Under Utilities, select to run Disk Utility. Now, connect the USB drive into that center port. Does it appear in the Disk Utility sidebar?
    Please post back the result...

  • Headphones not working after a complete new installation

Hello, After wiping the harddisk of my laptop and  a new installation of Windows 7 every thing works fine, except the headphones. I tried installing new driver, but the ones from windows update are not working and on the official hp driver site there are no drivers for audio. How can I fix this?

Hi, Can you see the headphone under Playback devices (Right click speaker icon at the bottom right) ? You may need to install driver for it.  Firstly enable it, Windows 7 will search the right driver for you. Also find few steps given below might help you. http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01916592
