Health App Stats Resetting Each Day

I got the iPhone 6 the day it was released.  I immediately started using the new Health app.  I added the basics, birthday, age, sex, weight, and I added the "Steps" and "Walking + Running Distance" to the dashbaord.  I notice they automatically started tracking my steps.  So I went for a jog, it tracked that also.  Awesome, so far so good.  But the next day it was all gone.  It doesn't matter if I select "Day / Week / Month / Year" at the top top, the stats are always the same, the only show the current day.  I've checked each day since I've got the phone, each day it seems to start over.  Why is all the previous data disappearing?  Thanks!

  • HT203066 Health App keeps resetting data and dashboard view

Health up on my iPhone 5s (iOS v8.1.2) keeps resetting the data and dashboard views:
    - when I enter data in the 'Me' tab (Birthdate, Sex, Blood type), the data keeps disappearing when opening the application again
    - adding a dashboard (i.e. 'Weight') the dashboard shows (with no values) and disappears again
    - adding a data point in any dashboard manually does not show.
Also - I am using MyFitness Pal & Withings Health App - no data is showing.
I recently re-installed the phone as new (couple of weeks ago), I re-installed the third party apps (and deleted all data when asked)
    Any hints, pointers?
    Thanks in advance

I'm having the exact same problem. I've even tried:
    1. Turn off all syncing by theirs-party sources.
    2. Delete all third-party apps that might sync data so that the Health App "Sources" list is empty
    3. Reset all settings on the phone.
    4. Reload third-party apps one by one
    5. Selectively turn on syncing by third-party apps and only sync categories I really want to see.
All to no avail. The Health App crashes constantly and when trying to input data into third-party apps, those apps will crash also.
I'm currently trying to sync data with:
    UP by Jawbone (UP24)
    Withings HealthMate (Withings WiFi scale)
    MyFitnessPal
    Runtastic
    Nike+

  • 3rd Party Apps stop working each day?

    Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I got my new 3G phone on Sunday and loaded a bunch of 3rd party apps. Monday morning, none of them worked--I click to start, and looks like it will start (the screen changes to the initial app screen), then it abruptly closes. Doesn't happen for the pre-installed apps. So I deleted and reinstalled 2 apps and they worked, soon after, I noticed all of them were working again. Yesterday and today, same thing--none of the 3rd party apps is working.
Anyone else with a similar story? Anyone know how to resolve it?
    Thanks in advance!
    Scott

Thanks for the info--though I have heard conflicting info that pressing home on the 3G actually does terminate an app completely. Unfortunately, it does not resolve the issue with the 3rd party apps not working. I've tried soft reboots, hard reboots, switching from wifi to 3G, and even did a full restore, but no change. The only current way I can get them to work again is to uninstall one and reinstall it. For some reason, this also fixes the rest of them. Pretty sure this is an actual OS bug. You don't even need to reboot after reinstalling an app--it works, then the rest of them do. I guess I will just have to live with it until Apple comes out with an update. I have never had an Apple device before...is there a way for a user to enter a ticket so that they know about this issue?

  • Health app and restarting day

so i get up pretty early every day, 4am. my health app doesn't seem
to restart the day. when I open my health app in the morning it gives me all of my data from yesterday.
how many steps I walked, etc. but doesn't show any of today's data? I noticed this happening yesterday too, but
i updated the iOS and the day reset and started recording my steps. Is there a certain time the day restarts?
I would assume it should be 12am, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
I haven't had this issue before, any tips or suggestions as to why this is happening?

    Keith,
Thanks for the quick response...  It wasn't clear (since I got here from the Support page) that this wasn't Apple.  Will take your suggestion and see if I can find the appropriate area through the link you provided...

  • Missed "Today" stats in Health App

    Welcome,
In my dashboard in Health app I've graphs with my day/week/month and year stats, but I don,t have like before i right bottom corner "Today" stats. It's possible to turn it on?

For example "467 cal" from this photo is Today (or Last Night etc.) stats. I had this but it missed in my case. I'm polish and I have polish version but difference is only in translating. Earlier I've had this info:

  • What organizer app has a really good WEEK VIEW like my Palm Pilot - it's a grid with days across the top.  Below each day- the day is divided into hourly grids.  When events are schdeuled across  week - you get a mosaic of time blocks.  Analogue - great

What organizer app has a really good WEEK VIEW like my Palm Pilot - it's a grid with days across the top.  Below each day- the day
is divided into hourly grids.  When events are schdeuled across  week - you get a mosaic of time blocks.  Analogue view is  great way
to comprehend the time obligations as a molar pattern.
    thx,
    Fritz

I use Week Cal on the iPod.  I think it was only $1.99.  It is a lot better and does a lot more than the one that came with the Palm Pilot.
As you know, unlike the Palm Pilot, the iPod does not come with a desktop application that you can sync your iPod calendar to.  Since I don't use Outlook, I have to use a Cloud based calendar to sync with my PC.  I use Hotmail's calendar for that.  (If your computer is a MAC, you can use iCal)

  • How do I start a specific app on my iMac at 0700 each day? I used to be able to do this through an iCal Alert, but this facility seems to have recently been removed.

I need to have the app Money start automatically at 0700 each day so that I get automatic notification of billos to pay today. I used to be able to do this through an apple script, then more recently through a standard alert within iCal. But things seem to  have changed and that no longer works. I have tried adding an attachment to the daily event but that also does not work, and there seems to be no recent documentstion/help which assists me.

Problem solved. Use a calenday which is on the Mac, not on iCloud. Then set up a daily event and use Custom Alert to open the .app file.

  • I have an iPhone 4S, iPad and MacBook Air.  I'm looking for an app or program where I can track time spent of specific projects each day and also document details of each project.  Is there anything available that is synced through iCloud?

I have an iPhone 4S, iPad and MacBook Air.  I'm looking for a program or app that I can sync though iCloud that will allow me to us all of these devices to track time spent on projects each day along with the ability to add specific information about each project.  Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I recommend you consider Omnifocus.  It is a task management program which runs on the Mac, Iphone & Ipad. I use it for task management and project management.  It let's you store additional information as well.   I sync all three devices through a Mobile Me account and I can enter data on any device and it is available on all devices.  I believe you can also sync through Dropbox.  I'm not sure that you can sync through iCloud yet.  The link to their website is:  www.omnigroup.com.  There may be less expensive alternatives, but this one meets my needs and syncs very well across all devices.

  • See past days activity on Health app?

On the new Health app in ios8 how can I see the activity or steps for past days?  Thanks

    Hello victormiguel,
When comparing the iPhone models, the difference is that the iPhone 5c does not have a motion coprocessor. That is what tracks your steps and any other motion that is recorded. To answer your question, the iPhone 5c will not track that information without the assistance of other devices that would then sync up with the Health app.

  • Viewing past days in the Health app?

I like to check how many steps I take each day, but if I forget to check before midnight, I lose that data. I can't figure a way to go back and read previous day's step totals. It's so frustrating. I can see weekly averages, which I don't care about. Why isn't there a simple calendar view where you can select any day and see that day's total information? Does that just make too much sense? So if I forget to check on a given day, that information is gone forever.

If you set up renditions properly, only one rendition should appear in the library. In the set of renditions, make sure that the Folio Name, Publication Date, and Product ID values are identical. In a public Newsstand app, publish the folios around the same time, and when they're done, send the push notification.

  • Creating a cumulative total by day measure which resets each month.

    Hi,
I need to creative a cumulative total measure (or calculated column) which accumulates my revenue sales for each day in a month, but resets each month.
    I've created an example below:
The dates are from a linked date table and are based on a fiscal year.  When the months are collapsed the months can either accumulate or stay fixed to the max for the month, that does not affect me.
I have tried various attempts using the guides below and I'm sure the answer is there but I can't get the filtering right.
I can get it to work but accumulate since the start of my data but this is not what I need.
    http://www.daxpatterns.com/cumulative-total/
    http://javierguillen.wordpress.com/2012/11/28/running-total-techniques-in-dax/
    Thanks.

It appears that your months align with the standard calendar's months. I.e. your fiscal calendar's October always aligns with regular October. If this is the case, then you can simply use the built-in time intelligence function TOTALMTD().
    MTD Measure:=
    TOTALMTD(
    [Measure]
    , DimDate[Date Field]
If this is not the case and your month does not always line up with the standard calendar month, you can implement identical behavior with this FILTER():
    Custom MTD Measure:=
    CALCULATE(
    [Measure]
    , FILTER( ALL( DimDate )
    , DimDate[Month Number] = MAX( DimDate[MonthNumber] )
    && DimDate[Date Field] <= MAX( DimDate[Date Field] )
Both of these will give identical behavior:
At the day level, they will show the running total for the current month, including the current day.
At the month level, they will show the total for the month.
At the quarter level and above (semester, year, decade, ...) they will show the total for the last month in that period. E.g. for a standard year, they will show December's total.
If these don't work, please provide more details about your date dimension, your data model, and how you are constructing your pivot table, preferably all in the form of a copy of your workbook on OneDrive or similar.

  • SCOM 2012 UR2 - Flush health service state causes infinite agent resets

Appearing on several of our 2008R2 servers from our SCOM 2012 UR2 environment, set up with several management servers:
If I select a monitored servers agent in the Operator Console and click the task
Flush health service state and cache, the selected agent will restart as intended.
However, it will restart again every 2-3 minutes forever ever after, unless  you stop the agent service and delete the health service cache folder on the monitored server.
This is visible via the eventlog:
event 103, Healthservice. A task to reset the health service store has been submitted.  The service store will be deleted and re-created.
This was never the case with our SCOM2007R2 setup and started appearing with 2012.
Have anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
    Regards / Jon

    Might save someone some time....
Stopping the agent, removing the "Health Service State" directory + restarting doesn't appear to help.  I did this *and* deleted some agents from the console (then re-added them.  We turned auto approve off)  and it appears
it might have fixed it.  I'll know more in the morning if this actually does the trick besides doing a full uninstall/reinstall of the agent.
If you don't know what agents are constantly restarting, search all management servers for *many* file transfers (Event ID 2110 in Ops manager event log) all to the same Instance/GUID. Execute this powershell on a managemnt server: "get-SCOMClassInstance
-Id <GUID>" to get the affected agent. Alternatively, make a SCOM rule to catch event 103 and look for many repeats from the same server/agent:
    Event Type: Warning
    Event Source: HealthService
    Event Category: Health Service
    Event ID: 103
    Description:
A task to reset the health service store has been submitted.  The service store will be deleted and re-created.

  • E4200 - Has to be Reset each few days.

my E4200 v1 has to be reset each few days is that normal? Seems not

Could you please share the exact issue that you are facing with the Router? Does it looses its connectivity every now and then? If YES, then it happens for both wired and wireless connection?
You should be able to get a good connection without having to be in the same room, but you do need to be in range of the router, and there may be interference in your home or neighborhood. You can adjust your settings to improve your signal. If you used the Cisco Connect installation disk, then open up the Cisco Connect software on your computer. Click on “Router setting” window, and then click on the “Advanced settings” button. That will opened the Router Setup page, then click on Wireless Tab and make the following adjustments:
Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz, set Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, or 11.
You can even try lowering the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page).
If you configured the Router manually, open up the browser and type 192.168.1.1 in your address bar. That will open the Router setup page and you can set the channel as above.
You should also make sure you upgrade the drivers for the WLAN card on your laptop computers

  • Health app on iPhone 5c won't log stats.. How do I start the stats?

I have the health app that was downloaded with  iOS 8, but cant seem to get the stats started. Have tried closing the app as well as full phone restart. Please help!!

    Hey Finshaw,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I’m so glad to hear that you are taking an interest into the Health app that is included with iOS 8. What data are you looking to have the health app automatically log? Most of the data points can accept information from “Sources”, or other applications that specialize in tracking this data. You can learn more about the Health app and how to use it by visiting these links:

  • Health app measuring each step separately?

I went for a walk today (approx 1 mile) and when I finished I checked the health app to see the distance.  All I see are hundreds of entries with very small distances.  Looking at the number of steps reveals that no more than 11 steps were recorded together, yet I walked at a very consistent pace without stopping at all. Is this normal? Shouldn't the app be able to tell that the entire walk was all one event?

I have the same problem. I have iOS 8.0.2 and a new iPhone 6. If I walk continuously, I see it is logging a few steps a number of times each minute. The total step count seems way off, and the daily miles walked also seems to be way high. I keep the phone in a front pocket. I don't know whether the hardware sensor for counting steps is defective, or if the Health app software is defective.
