Help!!!! Comparing 2 libraries

Help Please! I was trying to organize all my music onto 1 hard drive and I dragged the Itunes Music Folder into the Itunes on my new computer. Now some of the music is missing. I put music from other computers into the new one already and when I added the bulk of my old computer's music in it didn't add up. Now I can't start all over again because I would lose the songs I put in there already. Is there a way to compare 2 libraries to find out what is missing? I can't go through album by album because I have over 10k in songs. Thanks

the first error is:
esp == espanol;
eng == ingles;
that does nothing useful so you should remove it.
you can use:
var ingles:Boolean;
var espanol:Boolean;
background1.addChild(eng);
background1.addChild(esp);
esp.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, spanish);
function spanish(event:MouseEvent):void {
     espanol=true;
    instructivo.text="Estas en el ...";
        background1.addChild(instructivo);
var score_text:TextField = new TextField();
score_text.x = 100;
score_text.y = 100;
score_text.width = 100,95;
score_text.height = 100,95;
score_text.defaultTextFormat = fmat3;
if (espanol) {score_text.text = "Puntaje:"}
if (ingles) {score_text.text = "Score:"}
background1.addChild(score_text);if(!espanol && !ingles){

  • Comparing Libraries

    Hi there!
    Level of Experience: Beginner
    Backstory: Back when I had no idea what I was doing, I was trying to access my original aperture library over a wifi network share...bad idea lol. Well, I tried this with about 4 different libraries before I knew better. Each library is likely damaged but does open correctly and each one contains some photos, many of which are probably duplicates.
    Task: Since I can't have multiple libraries open at once to compare, I'm trying to consolidate them to one instance of aperture so I can figure out how to sort through them all. I recently found and utilized the Import > Library feature and used this for each one of my old libraries. I now have them all in to one instance of aperture. Now this leaves me with a 1TB mess of unorganized files that I need to sort through to ensure I leave no photo behind. During the import of the libraries, I did put them in their respective libraries so I can at least compare by # of items or size of the library/project/folder for instance, though I'm not sure how to do that in aperture.
    Question: What is the best way to confirm that all the files that were imported from another library are currently in my new library and how is it done within aperture? (Compare by size, # of items, etc?)
    The folders below equate to the libraries mentioned in this post...
    CURRENT: My new aperture library that I'm consolidating everything in to.
    Aperture Library latest: Attempt #3
    Aperture Library 1: Attempt #1
    Aperture Library 2: Attempt #2

    This issue still remains, not sure what do to.
    Also, In an effort to manually pick things out which will certainly end poorly, I tried comparing photo by photo. Problem is that the thumbnail previews aren't the same as the photo itself when it's double-clicked. I've done the following: "Generate Thumbnails," "Update Preview," and "Generate Preview." All have taken considerable time (1 day or so) to do, each completed successfully, and each made no difference. I'm also currently running WhatSize for Mac to see if it has any suggestions. The duplicate finder has also been running for about a day.
    Can anyone give any helpful advice on any of this or am I doomed?

  • Help comparing the value of a button using the Property Node (I get a variant)

    Dear Sirs:
    (I'm using LabView 6. I guess the solution is different for 6.1)
    Currently I have created an array of Boolean RefNums (which point to many, many buttons). When I need to know when any (and which) of the buttons was pressed I just compare every element on the array with the constant TRUE. It fact, as the array is built from RefNums, I should compare the VALUE from the Property Node.
    The problem here is that the Property Node for this type of Boolean is a LV Variant, and I need to compare this with a TRUE/FALSE value.
    I tried to convert the TRUE constant to a LV variant and visc. But nothing works... I always get that none of the buttons was pressed.
    Here it co
    mes the question: "How can I compare the value of a Property Node for a Boolean (Button) with a TRUE (or False) constant?"
    BTW, maybe I should explain why I'm using RefNums instead of the direct values: As my project requires tons of buttons, I would preffer using RefNums to refer to them. (I.E. I could use a single VI that takes the RefNum and formats the button to hide it for certain users).
    I have enclosed a VI that contains what I've achieved until now, which is nothing
    I appreciate your time and help.

    Javier,
    There is another problem in your code: the booleans are not polled by the main loop so they will remain false until the user presses them again. This renders the boolean latch action useless.
    What you can do is to change the mechanical action of the booleans to non-latch. When you detect a "true" in the polling loop, set the boolean to false again. One added benefit is that once all boolean are non-latch, the value property won't be a variant but a boolean so conversion is no longer needed.

  • Iphoto help - duplicate libraries with duplicate pictures

    i am in need of some serious help!!!!
    in an effort to clean up my pics in iphoto i now have multiple iphoto libraries with many duplicate pictures in these libraries
    this is wasting space on my mac and im pretty sure its the rason my mac is sooooo slow
    can anyone out there help me??
    thanks =)

    I agree with Larry in that use the paid version of iPLM to merge A with B into X with the preference in iPLM set to not import duplicates.  The merge X with C into Y.  Y should then have all of your photos without duplicates.  After each merge check the merged library to make sure it has all of the photos of the two libraries you're merging before deleting those two libraries.
    NOTE:  some photos may have different names and dates but be duplicates and would not be caught in the process.  If there are any there shouldn't be many.

    Hi Ajay,
    i have solution for ur problem.
    1. Go to program -> utilities-. version-> versiopn management.
    2.u arrive at new screen.
    3.type /h to make debuggin on.
    4. now click any push button for comparison..
    5.in field textbox of debbuger , type 'SY-UCOMM' to get the ok_code for that push-button.
    6.once u get the ok_code , u can use
    'CALL TRANSACTION 'SE38' USING BDC_DATA '.
    7.To get more details on such kind of abaP statement , select that statement and press F1 , you wud get reference example out at bottm..
    8. refere to that along with also check out for screen no , prohram name , ok_code , which are needed for that transaction.

  • Help Building libraries

    I cannot get iTunes to properly build the library.
    After installing iTunes, I moved music files around that were already on my hard drive. Now all the files reside in the iTunes music folder. I was also messing around with an external drive at the time. I then deleted all the music listings in iTunes and tried to rebuild it from scratch using "Add folder to Library" -> iTunes Music.
    When I do this some of the subdirectories (artists) appear in the library but not all. If I move directories around in Windows sometimes more will be found, but I can't get them all without selecting each artists directory individually.
    Why wont iTunes find all songs in the subdirectories? I have tried to reinstall itunes, but that didn't help.

    I am assuming these errors are coming from the COIN
    libraries I have included. Any help would be VERY
    appreciated!Building the library is entirely function of the other language. Java's involvement (in building the lib) is limited to producing the .h file. You will probably do better asking in a C++ forum.
    However, a few possibilities:
    - You should specify the external library to link with this, using -l option
    - Or, if you want to load COIN at run time, tell link loader to not resolve all symbols at the time of linking. This might be handled by -dyanamiclib option.

  • So close but need help comparing strings in different subforms with for loop - Livecycle ES

    For some reason I was not able to post this in the Livecycle ES forum, even though I've posted there often in the past.
    I have created a form that I almost have working and I'm hoping someone can help me.
    We have eight billing teams in our company and each team works anywhere from 1 - 4 different clients. The form is used to track, per Billing Rep, the number of items of mail that each billing r5ep works each day. What I'm needing to add at the bottom is a subform that tracks the totals by client. So I'm trying to get the form to loop through all of the existing subforms (and the subforms within them) and compare a cell int he bottom subform to a cell in the other subforms, which are dynamically added, and then total ONLY those items. My script however is not working.
    What I have now is:
    var repCount = form1.P1._rep.count
    var itemCount = form1.P1.rep._ItemSet.count
    for (x=0; x<repCount; x++)
         for (i=0; i<itemCount; i++)
              if(clientName.rawValue == P1.rep[x].ItemSet[i].client.rawValue)
              this.rawValue = this.rawValue + P1.rep[x].ItemSet[i].corresp.rawValue;
    It seems like this should work but I'm getting the following error:
    P1.rep[x] is undefined
    So what it looks like is I'm missing is the proper way to reference the objects in these subforms.
    The form is here: https://acrobat.com/#d=20gWXZ4sBm4OPV6oO76zSg
    If someone could take a look at it I would be so grateful.
    Thanks,
    Jo

    I don't know that anyone else will ever have a similar problem as what I was having, but I figured I would go ahead and post the solution, just in case....
    The error I was getting (P1.resolveNode("rep[" + j + "].ItemSet[" + i + "]") is null) was occuring because the variable itemCount needed to be referenced within the repCount For Loop. I also needed to resolve the node for the itemCount, which I wasn't doing.
    So...my old code was this:
    var repCount = P1._rep.count;
    var itemCount = P1.rep._ItemSet.count;   //this part was throwing the error. Needed to use resolveNode...and needed to not declare the variable until inside the first For Loop.
    var nTotal = 0;
    for (var j=0; j<repCount; j++) {
        for (var i=0; i<itemCount; i++)    {
            if (P1.resolveNode("rep["+ j +"].ItemSet["+ i +"]").client.rawValue == clientName.rawValue) {
                nTotal = nTotal + P1.resolveNode("rep["+ j +"].ItemSet["+ i +"]").corresp.rawValue;
    this.rawValue = nTotal;
    ...which wasn't working because it was trying to reference the count of the ItemSet right up front...but it needed to wait until it got inside the first iteration of the repCount subfields...AND it needed to have resolveNode used.
    The corrected code is:
    var repCount = P1._rep.count;
    this.rawValue = 0;
    for (var j=0; j<repCount; j++) {
        var itemCount = P1.resolveNode("rep["+j+"]")._ItemSet.count;  //corrected code...node is resolved and variable is declared within the first subform repCount.
        for (var i=0; i<itemCount; i++)    {
            if (P1.resolveNode("rep["+ j +"].ItemSet["+ i +"]").client.rawValue == clientName.rawValue) {
                this.rawValue = this.rawValue + P1.resolveNode("rep["+ j +"].ItemSet["+ i +"]").corresp.rawValue;
    ...which now works perfectly...and I'm throwing a party to celebrate! LOL

  • Help comparing objects

    Hi,
    My java app's purpose is to find out if I must update my simulated framework if the real framework has changed ( interfaces).
    My app loads two jar files ( real framework and simulated framwork) and use bcel to make an static analysis of the classes ( bcel created 'JavaClass' to describe the class).
    In order to determine if the classes are equal i create a 'DataClass' object with the following information:
    className
    Field [] fields (bcel 'Field' not java.lang.reflect.Field)
    Method [] methods (bcel 'Method' not java.lang.reflect.Method)
    I retrieve the information from JavaClass and put it in my 'DataClass'.
    This is the code I use to create a Vector for each framework ( Listing 1). This is where I store the data describing my classes in the api (Listing 2). Then I compare each 'DataClass' contained in the Vector.
    My intention is to compare the 'data' of the 'DataClass'. But since I get that all DataClass objects are NOT equal I guess I compare references. How can I do this.
    All hints are vey much welcome.
    cheers,
    //mikael

    Listing 3
    =========
    public static void compare(Vector api1, Vector api2) {
    for (Iterator iter = api1.iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
       DataClass clazz1 = (DataClass) iter.next();
       String className = (String) clazz1.getClassName();
       DataClass clazz2 = (DataClass) toBeCompared(className, api2);
       // compare object values
       System.out.println("clazz1 is " + clazz1.toString());
       System.out.println("clazz2 is " + clazz2.toString());
       if (clazz1.equals(clazz2)) {
        System.out.println("Objects are the SAME" + className);
       } else {
        System.out.println("Objects are NOT the same" + className);
    private static DataClass toBeCompared(String className, Vector api){
      DataClass dao = null;
      for (Iterator iter = api.iterator(); iter.hasNext();) {
        DataClass element = (DataClass) iter.next();
        String otherClassName = element.getClassName();
        if (className.equals(otherClassName)){
        dao = element;
    return dao;

    Your error is that you implement Comparable and the compareTo method instead of the equals method of Object class. Comparable is needed for ordering items. Equals instead is used to check if two objects are equal. Per convinience it is expected that there is no inconsistency if both equals and compateTo are implemented.
    So you should implement a method in DataClass:
    public boolean equals(Obejct o) {
      boolean result = false;
      if (o instanceof DataClass) {
        DataClass c = (DataClass) o;
        result = className.equals(c.className) &&
             fields.equals(c.fields) &&
             methods.equals(c.methods);
        // keep in mind here, that the arrays fields and
        // methods should be sorted / ordered. use Collections.sort(fields)
        // for this when you create or modify it
      return result;
    }You could also simplify the compare(Vector api1, Vector api2) method when you keep these Vectors sorted for className or use Set (what i dont recommand because of properbly performance drawbacks):
    public static void compare(Vector api1, Vector api2) {
      Collections.sort(api1, new ClassNameComparator());
      Collections.sort(api2, new ClassNameComparator());
      // you should possibly dont do this sorting here because the
      // method name does not state that the vectors are modified
      // but it's a precondition for make the following work properly:
      return api1.equals(api2);
    }i did not compile the code, so i hope i did not make many errors.

  • Need help managing libraries

    Here's my problem - I have different libraries for my personal stuff & music I play at my restaurant. I manage (meaning add to and delete from) separate files on my home computer (one personal, one restaurant). Unfortunately, my computer at the restaurant is an older iMac running an older version of iTunes and doesn't recognize my library file from iTunes 7.0.2, and I've made the mistake of creating my restaurant song database by starting with my personal stuff, from which I deleted many, many items I don't want played at the restaurant - but not by permanently deleting them! So, while at home, looking using the restaurant iTunes data in 7.0.2, everything is how I want it, but loading it all on the older computer at the restaurant, it now shows all the files including those I don't want in the library that I removed from the library but did not permanently delete. In other words, the restaurant computer can't read my library file so I've got tons of stuff I don't want appearing! What can I do about this (without having to buy a new computer at the restaurant - FYI I was told the G3 iMac I'm using at the restaurant can't run Tiger, hence my problem). Is there an easy fix?
    I'm hoping there's a way to simply export or duplicate only the songs in my library, thereby getting rid of all the deleted stuff that is still there and not wanted.

    See if you can get iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild the problem library as follows:
    Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
    1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
    2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
    3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
    4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    5 - Click on the Create button.
    Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. Report back on how long it took and how many photos you have in the library so we can give other users an idea of how long it may take.
    It will leave the original library untouched in case the result are not what you expected.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Help comparing periods

    Hi people! I need a little help.
    I have an first task save for a PERNR in period:
    begin
    10.21.2008
    08:00:00 AM
    end
    10.23.2008
    05:00:00 PM
    So, in this period of begin until end, the PERNR will be occupied with this planned task.
    So, he try to save a second registry:
    begin
    10.22.2008
    08:00:00 AM
    end
    10.22.2008
    05:00:00 PM
    In this case, I have to block this save, because it will be in the periodo planned for the first.
    Anyone can help me how I can do this? How can I check if a new period is inside a saved period? There is a standard function for this?

    Hi Jack,
    Just select all records for the employee, and check if the start date of the new record is > begin date AND  the end date of the new record is < end date of an existing record.  If so, then the new record falls inside an already saved period.

    Hi all,
    I have a list of set : [[abc] [ac] [abc] [a]]

  • Home Share comparing libraries

    Running iTunes 10.1 with Homes Sharing On and working. I have two libraries connected, one with music only and another with all my videos too. When browsing the Home Shared library with all the media, I see it all. When I choose the "Items not in my Library" option, I expected to see all the videos not in the library. Instead, the only media I see are the few tagged in the main library as TV Shows. All of the media tagged as a movie or music video is missing. This seems to be a bug in this version.
    I wiped out the iTunes library files on the small library and reset everything. At first, the comparison toggle correctly showed all the videos not in the current library. *Then I set up the Genius feature.* After the Genius was complete, all the missing videos were again not displayed as "Items not in my library". The Genius setup process seems to have changed something.

    Tried the Genius solution you posted and confirmed it worked. Great job. Specifically, I turned off Genius on both machines, turned off home sharing on both after the Genius results deleted and then turned Home Sharing back on. Worked perfect, showed all items that were not in library.

  • Need help consolidating libraries

    Hello all,
    Here's the question:
    I have two older computers, both of which have limited hard drive space left. My Compaq desktop is being retired after I transfer my extensive music collection to my new Ipod Mini-over 2 GB. My other laptop (IBM thinkpad) holds about 800gig of music files. My questions are:
    1. How can I continue to buy music and add files to my Ipod on the laptop without storing them all on the laptop's hard drive.
    2. What is the easiest way to transfer the MP3 files from the desktop into the Ipod?
    Or another way-how do I transfer all my MP3 files into the Ipod-without having them on either computer-and still be able to use the laptop to buy new music and keep the Ipod updated?
    Thanks for the assistance!

  • Need help sharing libraries

    I am on the same network as my sister- she can see my library, but I can't see hers. How do I fix it?

    Hi, rosamendoza33.
    Have a look at this article in the Apple Knowledge Base.

  • Help moving libraries from a diff comp

    i just reformatted my harddisk, but saved all my itune info on a separate hard disk... now i have reformatted, i want to transfer it all back, but the prob is that when i pllug in my shuffle, they tell me that my shuffle has a diff library and do i want to change... how can i restore my old library into my new comp?? thanks....

    Move your music back from the separate HD and get iTunes all sorted out on your new computer. Then plug in the Shuffle. It may ask if you want to associate the Shuffle with the new computer and when you say yes it will clean the Shuffle out and you can reload it from the iTunes library on your new computer.
    iTunes first, then the Shuffle.

  • Help comparing two ArrayList initializations instructions.

    I found these two methods to initialize ArrayList on a single row in a 3 years old topic here in this forum... so I open a new thread to ask you what you think is the best method I could use. Thank you!
        private static ArrayList<String> strSearchs = new ArrayList<String>(){{add(" state changed from Full to ");}};
        private static ArrayList<String> strSearchs2 = (ArrayList<String>)Arrays.asList(" state changed from Full to ");PS: note that original suggestions was for "List" objects, so I had to add a cast to "ArrayList" in the second instruction.

    Pratically I have such objects which get a String (we can call it "*strOrig*") in the constructor. As result it parse the String, and store all parsed informations in object's variables\attributes.
    Obviously the String is checked to control if it fits some parameters before parsing starts. The static ArrayList contains further requisites (Strings which have to "match" with "*strOrig*" content to confirm it is valid) which are chosen by "the user" (I mean who implements these kind of classes).
    It mean that I need to make the ArrayList modificable (both substituted by another ArrayList variable, or adding, changing and/or removing content for the existing one). I made it static, so it will not create a new ArrayList for every instantiate object.
    So if List can't support add and similar, I think it's not my case. :-S
    Maybe I could instantiate the ArrayList in an AbstractList object, so also Vector could also be used bye "the user"... but this is not very related.
    So maybe private static AbstractList<String> strSearchs = new ArrayList<String>(Arrays.asList(" state changed from Full to ")); is my case...
    Do you agree with me?

    The variable is not intended to be Final, it can be modified via static methods, but I need it's static (so unique for every object instantiated) and it starts with a defaul value already inside.static means the opposite: it is the same for all instances, not unique per instance.My fault: I meant "it's always the same for all instanced objects". I used "unique" instead of "always the same", sorry.
