Help I cannot get on to itunes. It comes up with the message that msvcr80.dll is missing. But i need very straight forward instruction s how to fix this as I am not good with computers.
Help I can no longer access my I tunes from my computer. It comes up with the message MSVCR80.dll is missing. Can anyone give me very simple instructions as to how i can fix this. I am not very computer literate.
Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

Can't download and install iTunes update to version 11.1.4 without receiving an error message: "MSVCR80.dll is missing". What do I do?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I was installing iTunes 11.1.4 and it was unsuccessful. I get the message 'Error 7 (Windows error 126). If I now try to open iTunes I get the message that 'MSCVR80.dll' is missing from my computer. Trying to download again has not solved the problem.

My iTunes update install failed. Error message says MSVCR80.dll is missing from my comuputer. What is that and where do I get it?
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

I've NEVER had a version update fail. I did go to 'Tools' and download for a manual install of this update as the info screen suggested. It, too, failed. After searching for the 'missing' msvcr80.dll on my computer, I found it all over the place!
Ran a malware & virus scan with nothing evil popping up.
Tried going back to a restore point before a previous update and doing the install. It failed.

I downloaded itunes on my pc and it said that the program couldnt start because msvcr.80dll was missing. What should i do?
Hello jazzyv_18,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
Best of luck,

Hello Californiapink,
It sounds like the ooVoo app on your iPhone is not playing audio. I recommend following the steps in the article below for an issue like this (you can skip step 3 since it is not related to this issue):

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.
