Help needed in interpreting panic log from kernel panic error
My G4 iBook has started giving me kernel panic errors, often immediately after starting up. I haven't installed any new software or RAM recently. I've done a clean system install (completely clean - not an archive and install) then downloaded the combo update for 10.4.11. But the kernel panics are still happening from time to time. I've looked at the panic log, but it means nothing to me, so I'm hoping someone can help:

I didn't see anything that would indicate a specific problem. Understanding crash logs isn’t easy and it’s hard (sometimes impossible) to decipher the cause of the problem. Take a look at Apple’s Crash Reporter document at http://developer.apple.com/technotes/tn2004/tn2123.html
Also look at Tutorial: An introduction to reading Mac OS X crash reports
http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060309075929717
Kernel panics are usually caused by a hardware problem – frequently RAM, a USB device or a Firewire device. What external devices do you have connected?
To eliminate RAM being the problem, Look at this link: *Testing RAM* @ http://guides.macrumors.com/Testing_RAM Then download & use Memtest & Ramber.
Running the Apple Hardware Test in Loop Mode is an excellent troubleshooting step for finding intermittent hardware problems. It is especially useful when troubleshooting intermittent kernel panics. If Loop Mode is supported by the version of the Apple Hardware Test you are using, you run the Extended Test in Loop Mode by pressing Control-L before starting the test. Looping On should appear in the right window. Then click the Extended Test button. The test will run continuously until a problem is found. If a problem is found, the test will cease to loop, indicating the problem it found. If the test fails, be sure to write down the exact message associated with the failure. In some cases, RAM problems did not show up until nearly 40 loops, so give it a good run.
May be a solution on one of these links.

Panic.log and Kernel Panic issues
Can anyone help me out with deciphering this kernel panic log. I've had about 4 KP's in the last couple months. I only have one in my log because I think that is the only one I have had since I did an erase and install. I checked it in for repair at an Apple Store where they ran a high load test on it and found no hardware problems nor could they determine the source of the KP's.
I have plently of disk space and a third party graphics card bought and installed at the Apple Store. The computer was used in a professional creative environment every day, 10 hours a day for a year and a half and was rarely shut down overnight. It was pushed pretty hard, was kept in an area that allowed for dust accumulation and the area below the desk where it was kept had pretty poor air flow. It was probably moved around a bit while running. All a recipe for disaster, but I figure it's better to be up front about it's condition before one were to help me out.
Beside the couple KP's I've had, it will occasionally hang up while switching into a different user while using "Fast User Switching". Aside from distinguishing what this log might mean, I am also curious to what degree a KP can have on further corruption of data. Data corruption concerns me more than the occasional KP that would force me to revert to my last save.
Here is the log file. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

Help needed to interpret kernel panic
Hello everybody
Recently I've had a couple of kernel panics on my MacBookPro 13'' (OSX Lion 10.7.2 version, 2,26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8GB 1333 MHz DDR3)
The last one occured today : I was opening Google Earth (the last version) to see the GPS position of a boat( from a link with the GPS coordinates taken from a website). Itunes and Safari were running, and also a PDF document.
The Kernel panic appears few seconds after opening Google Earth.
I also replaced memory and hard drive few weeks ago, and I just hope I didn't do something wrong.
here is the panic log :

Can anyone help my diagnose what is causing this kernel panic?
Tried to learn how to read these from a website, but no luck. Could someone smarter than me figure this out? It's happening weekly. Thanks!

Help needed in Connecting to SAP From Eclipse
Hi All,
Currently, we have a requirement where we need to retrieve data from SAP System and need to upload the same in a Third Party Application (Java based system).
We are able to create an account in Java Application using Eclipse IDE by hard coding the Account details. We are stuck up in establishing the SAP connection and retrieving the details and then creating the extracted account details in Java application from Eclipse.
Any pointers on this will be of great help.
Regards,
EurekaHi Eureka,
Please refrain from creating cross-posts in parallel forums, moreover this question is JCo-related and is not directly connected with Java EE 5. The Help needed in Connecting to SAP From Eclipse in the Java Programming forum would be enough. Please continue the discussion there.

You can either ignore those errors (since they have no impact on your page's functionality) or you can use DW to convert your page to an HTML5 doctype (File > Convert > HTML 5, and then the errors will go away.

Console Logs??? Can anyone HELP me find the cause of a kernel panic?
Hi Folks,
Beginning last week, my MacPro has started greeting me in the morning with a kernel panic on the screen when I turn on the monitor first thing. At some point in the night or early morning hours it is panicking. My only option is holding down the power button and shutting down. I'd say this was true for 3 or 4 out of 5 mornings last week.
Is there a way to trace this event in the Console? Where would I find it and what might I be looking for?
Thanks for the help,
J.E. FlynnOkay... Wow, I really feel like a newb.
I cannot see anything in any of the listings (or within the nested lists) that specifically says "panic log". Is there a reason I am not seeing this??
What I do see in the sidebar under DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION > System Diagnostic Reports > is something called "Kernel2010-02-12-090136Jes-MacPro.panic".
I don't see anything resembling a "easily-human-readable line" but here's most of the top of the log:

J.E. Flynn -
Can too much RAM memory in a late 2011 model macbook pro lead to kernel panic? That is what I was told by a senior supervisor from apple support who troubleshot this issue.First noticed this problem in Dec 2014 while using a private wifi at a relative's home. Did not occur again until Feb1 using a public wifi at a hotel. Never happened on my private wifi network until last night attempting to use airplay. ( have used airplay before without issue). Late 2011 MacBook Pro running 10.9.5; 2.4 GHz Intel core i7, 16 GB DDR3,AMD Radeon HD 6770m 1024 MB graphic card. The laptop came with 8GB RAM and I installed 8 GB about 2 years ago for some reason I cannot remember... probably because I thought the system was slowing down a little. I know that sounds silly. I do not run multiple programs at a time except I leave 6-8 website tabs open simultaneously. I don't photo or video edit. I would describe my use as "light" based on reading these blogs.I had purchased apple support and spent hours on the phone with them in early Feb moving up through support and senior support to sending logs to the "engineers." Of course lots of things were done some of which I am sorry to report I cannot recall their technical definitions. Deleted 3rd party apps/programs; re-worked start up menu; re-installed operating system; reset " this, that and the other" using acrobatic simultaneous key strokes both in and out of safe mode..Anyway the results from the engineers came back and they suggested that if it happened again I was to remove the 8GB of RAM I had installed as the system was getting confused as to which chip to use.( that is my interpretation of what was said..prob dumbed down for me)...Anyway 1 day after these pronouncements came down I read that Apple had agreed to fix graphics cards in some late model 2011 MBPs. I felt this was unlikely to be the issue given all that had been done including an extended hardware test but called the Senior Support Supervisor I was working with to ask him to make sure. He never phoned me back. Should I go to the trouble of removing 8GB of RAM from my laptop? Of course I will try it as the alternative is a new computer.Blogs read that this model can support 16GB but Apple didn't test for it. Senior Supervisor claims this is my trouble. Does that make sense? Not to me....but it is clear to all my level of knowledge. Can a malfunctioning graphics card be missed by an extended hardware test? I appreciate comments.
The RAM needs specs as shown below.
Maximum Memory
16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)

How to recover from kernel panic at startup?
Kernel panic happens at startup. I can't boot into safe mode and I can't boot from the Install disk.
Please read:

Your KP could be caused by many things. If you can get the system booted please post the KP log, you can find it at /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports -
Help please - occasional shut-down after sleep & kernel panic
Hi all.
I have an intermittent problem here with an iMac 24in 2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo model. This iMac was bought refurbished from the Apple store about 6 weeks ago.
About once a week, after putting the iMac to sleep, I come back to it later to find it has shut down. The only way to restart is to unplug from the wall and then plug in and switch on as normal.
This has happened on three occasions in the last couple of weeks, and by looking in System/Library/Logs/Diagnostic Reports I found what looks like a record of a kernel panic:

Since this last one I have reset the PRAM/NVRAM and updated to OS X 10.6.2. Is this likely to help or is there a more fundamental problem here?
Thanks for any help on this.HI,
"AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement-"
First, try resetting the SMC. (System Management Controller)
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1543
Considering this iMac is well within the one year limited warranty, I'd take it back if resetting the SMC does not work. You should not have to trouble shoot kernel panics whether it's refurbished or not but read here for help to resolve kernel panics... something might help.
http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/kernelpanics.html
If you have installed any 3rd party software / hardware, uninstall and try using the iMac to see if it's stable.

Having one anti virus software installed is not necessary, two is overkill.
If your Mac contintues to generate kernel panics after uninstalling Symantec and Avast, the uninstallers do not always delete all the associated files.

Help needed on upgrading portal application from sp3 to weblogic portal 10
Hi Guys
I have an application which is currently running on BEA Weblogic Portal 8.1 sp3. We need to upgrade our application from 8.1 sp3 to BEA Weblogic 10 version.
(1) Is there any way for upgradation from 8.1 sp3 to portal 10 directly or do I need to upgrade it from sp3 to sp4 and then from sp4 to portal 10? Pls clarify?
(2) How reliable are the BEAs automated scripts for retaining the personalization/customization of my application on sp3 to upgraded version i.e portal 10?
(3) I believe, we do not need to do any coding/design changes/architectural changes into my application for this upgrade.
Any help on this will be highly appreciated
Thanks
Jameel1) I believe only sp4 and later to weblogic 10 is supported (http://www.bea.com/content/news_events/white_papers/BEA_WL_Portal10_ds.pdf)
so yes i think you need to upgrade from sp3 to a later version of the service pack
2) You tell us :)
3) Depends on your application and the features you have used. E.g. I believe Content management has changed between sp3 and what 10 supports.

10.4.5 - Safe from Kernel Panics on DP G4s?
After updating to 10.4.4, I experienced extremely frequent kernel panics for the first time ever on my dual 1.25 G4. I found a thread or two on this forum showing that others with DP G4s had similar problems. A couple days later, I reformatted my HD, reinstalled everything, including Tiger, but only up to 10.4.2. The kernel panics stopped, but now I'd like to update to 10.4.5 if it's safe, so I can use iLife '06.
I'm curious to know if anyone on a DP G4 had their 10.4.4 kernel panics go away after updating to 10.4.5.I suggest that you:
1. Get an external bootable Firewire drive and clone your functioning system to the external drive.
2. Download the 10.4.5 Combo Updater.
3. Repair your hard drive and permissions on the startup volume by booting from the Tiger DVD and running Disk Utility from the installer's Utilities menu.
4. Reboot into safe mode and install the 10.4.5 Combo Update.
If all is OK, then you can clone the new system to your external backup. If you have problems, then you can boot from the external drive and restore your old system. -
1000's of "NSAutoreleaseNoPool()" messages in console log then kernel panic
When watching videos from the Music Store I've been getting thousands of console messages all saying the same thing:
2006-07-05 23:37:10.693 iTunes[392] * _NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x89a0d50 of class NSCFString autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking

They appear to be generated several time per millisecond!
Afer a while the system gets fed up with it and does a Kernel Panic.
I've recently done a complete clean install of 10.3.9 followed by all of the system updates.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

Hi Drake,
Yes, it is common, and I wouldn't worry about it.
These "errors" are not about anything wrong. My guess is that it's a developer jargon to indicate that something didn't happen, only because there is no possibility of it happening given your specific settings/system options.
See for example the statements "System woke from sleep" or "System going to sleep" in "error_log"...
We don't know to what extend these "errors" belong to so many unmodified files that used to do something in UNIX 15 years ago, but are now completely useless, harmless and so small they can't affect Mac OS X performance in any way?
Enjoy your Mac!
