Help Setting Up A Cisco Lab For IOS Upgrade?

Hi.
I've collected quite a few routers and switches over the past few months that have what seems to be corrupted or no IOS. I have a small lab set up to test parts, and I was wondering how I can network them in such a way where I have an active functional network (for testing purposes, not for actual internet use), that I can connect routers or switches to and upgrade or change the IOS version.
I have all the hardware and cabling needed, and I have the Cisco IOS software for the routers I need, I've just never upgraded or changed an IOS on a router or switch before.
I have:
a Cisco 7505 with an RSP4+, 256MB RAM, 16MB Flash, and it's full of the modules that hold the PA cards (I forget what it's called, but I just use it to throw PA cards in to test 8 at a time).
A Cisco 3450 (I believe, 3400 series anyhow) that I believe is 64/16, that again I use for testing.
Two Cisco 2621 64/16, for testing WIC's, VWIC's and NM's.
Two Cisco 2950 series switches, one I'd like to use to actually connect to my LAN already implimented seperatly, and one to connect to this mini lab LAN.
So again, I'm wondering how I can set these up on a small LAN just for testing purposes and so I can just connect a device and upgrade it's IOS. I also need information about the TFTP server and all of that as I haven't been able to find out much info on it.

First of all make sure that the flash is enough for IOS you are loading.Here is guide for loading IOS.
(1)Download and install tftp server from www.solarwinds.net
(2)Give IP on ethernet port of router
(3)Give IP on computer which should be in same subnet that of router
(4)Follow the following steps:
Router#copy tftp: flash:
Address or name of remote host []? 192.168.1.67
Source filename []? c1700-k9o3sy7-mz.122-15.T9.bin
Destination filename [c1700-k9o3sy7-mz.122-15.T9.bin]?
Accessing tftp://192.168.1.67/c1700-k9o3sy7-mz.122-15.T9.bin...
Erase flash: before copying? [confirm]

Which one is better for iOS Upgrading Laptos or Desktop PC

I have used my notebook for upgrading iOS many times.. after long time i used my desktop PC to did that upgrading .. I feel some performance different in my phone... any ideas about that?? or any recopmendation for upgrading .. and whichone is better for firmware upgrading purpose.. i mean notebook or desktop pc???

Need help setting up external hard drive for FCE project

Hi folks,
Basically I am looking at making a 20-30 minute video this summer of my motocross adventures and what not and have equipped myself with an iMac (2.93 GHZ Core2Duo 640GB 4GB) and of course, FCE. I have tried smaller projects before (ranging in length between 20 seconds to upwards of a few minutes) but have noticed an overall decline in computer speed which I am under the impression is being caused by the 10s of GBs of video project files and what not that seem to be scrawled away within my computer. Before I made any videos, my computer was sitting around 560 GBs of free space. Since making maybe 3-4 videos (50/50 iMovie and FCE) its down below 400GBs. I'm not sure whether it's the raw video files or the projects themselves that are so large, but it's slightly frustrating. Is there any sort of software (either third party or apple) that can look at your hard drive and tell you exactly where all the biggest files are? I'll post this question in the iMac forum as I realize this is for FCE, but I thought if anyone knew of one it would be extremely helpful.
Anyways, I have a SimpleDrive 320GB external HD that I plan to use as my external for making this project within FCE and would like some help in terms of how to set it up with FCE, what are the best settings etc. It is currently formatted with Windows, so I will also need help in setting it up for a Mac. I do have about 120GBs used on it already and was also wondering if I could keep this when re-formatting, but I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to that.

Yes, you can use your external HD with FCE ... provided it is formatted as +Mac OS Extended+ and is connected via FireWire.
You will need to back up any data that is on the drive that you want to keep. Before reformatting it. Formatting erases everything that is on the drive.
Use Disk Utility (located in your +Applications > Utilities+ folder) to format the drive.
After formatting the drive, go into +FCE > System Settings+ and change your FCE scratch disk location to the external drive.

Hi , having had a whole host of intermittent problems with my HH5 and a new replacement being just as much trouble .I sent for the above router , only i have a problem working out what username password I should be using , its been years since I first got broadband with BT and all of the modems and routers I have had have allways connected without asking for any user/pass info . I do have the original password and username I set up with BT years ago , but when I tried it ,the router is still not connecting although it does not say that the pass/user info is wrong .
does anyone here have an idiots guide for setting this router up to connect to BT and run 2 PC's (ethernet only)

Help Setting up a Cisco SA 520

I am trying to setup a Cisco SA 520 for VPN access to my network from outside locations. I am unsure what I need to do to set this up.
I currently have an Adtran 3430 Router with an External IP: 63.232.147.x. I have a 2003 Server which hands out DHCP addresses to workstations of 192.168.1.x. My external IP addresses are 207.109.23.x. There are some 207.109.23.x numbers being natted to some 192 numbers on the Adtran, that is about the only thing the Adtran is doing. We use the Adtran to connect to the internet as well. My ISP controls the Adtran, I cannot get to the config, so any changes need to be done by them.
The static IP address I'd like to use for this SA 520 is 65.117.45.x 255.255.255.248. I just got a block of IPs from my ISP, so I know I have the 65.117.45.x available to use.
I'm not sure what I should be using for a gateway IP address and DNS address under IPv4 WAN configuration page?
I'm also not sure where the SA 520 phycially goes? Right now, I have a cable coming out of the Adtran ETH 0/2 into the WAN port on SA 520. But when all is said and done, will the outside traffic hit the SA 520 first or the Adtran? I'm assuming I'll need to redo my NAT statements on the SA 520 instead of the Adtran?
If anyone can offer any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Help setting up a Laserjet P1102w for wireless printing on a Mac

I'm trying to setup a Laserjet P1102w on my Mac for wireless printing, but it's not working. It will print fine using USB, but all the documentation for wireless setup is for Windows, not Mac. if I connect the printer via USB to my Mac, how will it get an IP address from my wireless network? Any help appreciated.

Please go to the linked thread above, and look for the post by mikel1004 - he outlined the steps for connecting Adhoc to the printer very clearly.
Summary of what you will need to to:
1. Reset Printer to Defaults
2. Connect to printer via Adhoc from your Mac (This will disconnect you from your home wireless network)
3. Access HTML Config, and configure the printer's wireless settings manually from there.
4. Reconnect the Mac to the Home Network
5. Add the printer to the print queue.

Help Setting up Mac Mini Server for Printer/File Sharing to Windows comp.

Hi, so in our office, we decided only to switch half of the office to macs for budgetary reasons. We purchased the mac mini server to replace the 5,000 year old one and have also gotten to macbooks and a mac mini. My other two co-workers unfortunately still are using two windows vista machines. We have important documents on the server hard drive and they also need our OLD ACT! database to access from it and I have not been able to get them to access the hard drive. Can someone please walk me through these steps? Also, ideally we want to be able to access this servers hard drive when we are out of the office and edit word documents and such, but I also have not been able to do that or make that work. Any help in these areas would be greatly appreciated!

If you use a different login name for the network account to your existing local account then the local account will not be affected. You might want to transfer the contents of your existing local account to the new network account. To do this you could try the following
Create new network account
Login using old local account
Now while logged in using old local account - connect to the File Server
Enter the new login details
It should hopefully list the Share that stores your new network account, complete the connection
You should now have the Share mounted, copy the contents of your local account to the corresponding location in your new network account
Note: The Library folder in your home directory contains all your settings
Once complete logout of the old local account
Try logging in to the new account
In terms of limitations, it is going to be slower than a local account because it has to go across the network, and some badly written applications may have some issues but most will be fine.
At this stage your local account has not yet been deleted so if you have problems you can revert to it.

Help setting up sounds effect page for ipad

For the past few years I've maintained a fun webpage (made in DW) that plays sounds on click. I use it to accent certain moments in my class and sometimes I run several sounds at once to create a mood during stories. This year our students are using ipad's and this sound page does not work the same way. It does not play certain sounds, and opens others (wav, mp4 on a separate page) one at a time. Here is a sample line of code that works on Macbooks, but will not play at all on ipads.

We are on SRM 7.0 and setup BRF and process level config for automatic approvals of SCs and POs using task 40007988. We would now like to test approval based workflow (create work item to route to approver) using a process level step.
1) Is there a standard task that can be used to enter in the process level step? Or should we create a new standard task? If a new task is required, what import/export parameters should be defined?
2) How do we setup agent for this step? Are the entries u201CResp Resolveru201D and u201CResp Resolver Parameteru201D in process level config required? The BADI BD_WF_RESP_RESOLVER already has some SAP delivered implementations? Should I create a new implementation here?

Help setting up Aelfred and SAX for MIDP

This relates to chapter 11 & 12 of Yu Feng book Wireless Java Programming with J2Me.
Where exactly do you install Aelfred and Sax? What variables have to be set in the class path or what jar files have to be placed where.
I can't compile my application because the class files that come with Aelfred can't find java.io.*; from the import Statement in the class file.
The above class file is located in the4 SRC directory of my application.

I've just realised that you have to manually remove some stuff from the classes such as reference to J2Se classes.
How do you do this.
