Help upgrade to Digital Vault Plus

I have recently left bt broadband and had an email notifying me that my digital vault would be cancelled unless i upgrade to digital vault plus.  I have tried to do this but when I go to upgrade and enter my payment details it says it is undergoing maintenance.  This has been going on for 5 days now and my deadline is tomorrow or my account is cancelled and I will lose all my photo's as they are from an old pc.
Please help.

  • BT DIGITAL VAULT UPGRADE ERROR

I have for some time tried to upgrade my capacity on my digitital vault but the error message below has been the same for the past six months.
The BT Digital Vault service you are trying to access is currently undergoing maintenance work.
    Apologies for the inconvenience
When phoning the help desk they said that it was waiting to be sorted - this is ridiculous - please help!
    Many thanks Mizzard

  • Help! Digital vault set up problem

Signed up for the digital vault yesterday and was warned that the first download would take some time - 6 hours later it still hadn't finished - I stayed patient as wasn't sure what to do.  It finally finished but it doesn't appear to have been successful and I have no clue as to what to do now.  HELP!

    Nanaky, thank you very much.
It has worked. Now my Digital Editions table performas as usual.
Interesting your remark, - I would not know that the existing file of the previous set up, is interfering in the new installation.
Again, I'm very pleased having received that simple advise, but the key procedure for further downloads!
    My best regards from Barcelona.

  • BT Digital Vault - Deleting Files

Does anyone have any idea how you delete files from the digital vault.   The folders selected in the backup manager are only a gig or so in size, however the files on the internet are around about 3.5 gig.    I do not seem to be able to delete files from the backup manager or the internet.   I think the problem is that the internet is seeing my previous installation of Windows as another computer (I've recently upgraded to Windows 7).

First of all you need to uninstall auto-backup. Then when you re-intall it again it will ask you for the computer name. Select the name of the old computer. You should then be able to delete the old files.
If you want, you can then repeat the process, this time selecting the name of your new computer.
The old computer names remain on Digital Vault, even though their contents are empty.

  • BT Digital Vault - permanently under maintenance!

For over 5 weeks now I have been unable to access Digital Vault as I always receive the error message that the areas of the site I am trying to visit are under maintenance. (I am trying to upgrade my data allowance so I can back up my computer fully before switching to a new Mac. So this delay is really infuriating). I have phoned the Helpdesk twice - the first time they confirmed it was under maintenance but suggested I try again in a few days. The second time they admitted maintenance was taking a long time and they had no idea when it would be finished. I cannot understand why this should take so long - or why BT do not bother to communicate with clients to explain what is happening. There does not seem to be any way to escalate my complaint either - the helpdesk is friendly but has no info.

Well I can log in and get to the upgrade page without problems, I have just tried it.
Are you using this link https://sh.digitalvault.bt.com/base/login.jsp

  • BT Digital Vault & Windows 7

I've just upgraded from a PC with Vista to one with Windows 7 and I can't install BT Digital Vault.  Is this a compatibility issue?  If so, is there any way round this, or is BT going to launch a Windows 7 version in the near future?

    Try Auto backup

  • Digital Vault / Auto Backup - How to upload a dire...

    Hi there,
Can you use auto backup to backup a directory structure that is not held within one of the options under 'we suggest'?
I want to backup a directory that has 2 layers of sub directories that is on another drive on my computer, I tried going via 'you pick' with everything unticked on 'we suggest' but, although I could navigate to my other drives, I could only select files and not directories which is no use to me as it would take far, far to much time to select all the files in each sub directory (over a decades worth of family photos)
I do not want to move it over to my documents or pictures folder as I want to keep it all on a seperate hard drive.
I cannot see a way to upload directories using the digital vault web uploader either otherwise I would do it manually.
Thank you for any assistance :-)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yes you can, I do it.
Forget "we suggest" and use your own selection.
Navigate to the parent folder, and simply tick the box. Everything in the parent and subdirectories will be backed up.
If you only want certain subdirectiories, then you click the "+" option, and the directory treee will be displayed.
You can then select whichever subdirectories you want.
You can backup from any "fixed" drive, but not network drives.

I have had IPhones since their inception.  Last phone was the 5.  A few months ago, I upgraded to the 6 Plus.
    Here is my issue.
On my 5, my car radio (which has USB port) allowed me to plug in and listen to radio or music from my phone and the bonus was it charged the phone as well. All worked great.
Now with the 6 Plus, neither of things work.  The message on the radio (Kenwood) says I Pod error.  The message on my phone say's "this device is supported".
I have called on this before and was told you are aware and that the issue will be addressed in a future update.  There have been several updates on IOS 8 and the issue remains.

I have a Kenwood KDC-X695. When I purchased this stereo and had it installed, I had an ATT iPhone 4.
It worked with the stereo, but had a few issues. I had purchased a few audio books that I would listen to while driving. When I plugged it in it would immediately begin to play the book from the beginning or if I had been listening to music, it would start playing the song that was at the top of the song list.
The stereo came equipped with Firmware version 3.05. I upgraded to the iPhone 5 a year later. I had that phone for approximately 2 years. The song or book issue remained the same.
I just recently upgraded to the iPhone 6 and the Bluetooth function still works, however the USB port on the stereo that the phone plugs into to allow files on the phone to play through the stereo no longer works.
I contacted the service provider (Verizon) and after speaking to several different technical support technicians, they provided me the phone numbers for Kenwood and Apple because they were unable to help me.
I spoke with Kenwood technical support the following day and after a few fumbling miscues from the technical advisor, it was suggested that I upgrade the firmware, even though the Kenwood literature warns against this if the Bluetooth portion is working, because if there is a problem with the upgrade, it can render the Bluetooth useless and non-functional. The advisor did suggest the latest firmware on the second or third attempt, after I pointed out what I was able to glean from my initial search.
Later that day, I went back to the Kenwood site (from their homepage) and by using their selection tools, discovered that this particular model was only ever intended to be used with the iPhone 4S (the technical advisor was not aware of this, even though I mentioned this during my phone call earlier in the day). According to the Firmware selection tool, my iPhone 5 should not have worked with it.
I performed the Firmware upgrade, and it took 13 minutes. This was less than the 15 minutes that was forecast in the Kenwood literature. The Bluetooth still works but the USB cable connection still causes the unsupported device message that I received prior to the upgrade. I am incredibly annoyed and disappointed.
By upgrading to the iPhone 6, I have three choices; (1) only use the Bluetooth for phone calls without the ability to play other files from my iPhone 6 (2) forced obsolescence of my stereo, requires buying a new stereo (3) return my iPhone 6 and go back to my iPhone 5.
I do not believe that I should have to be a software/Firmware/hardware engineer, vetting every single device that I own; prior to upgrading a cell phone.
I am incredibly annoyed with Apple at the moment.
I have a separate Bluetooth headset that worked with both my iPhone 4 and iPhone 5 that the iPhone 6 simply does not recognize. That is another story for another time.
Currently, I am incredibly underwhelmed with Apple.

  • Cancelling BT Digital Vault

I know Digital Fault goes at the end of the month but I haven't been able to find out from BT as to whether the payments will stop being taken or whether I should cancel the Direct Debit? Rang several times and filled out forms (the customer service reps that rang back couldn't help either) but not been able to get an answer. Have already got BT Infinity but was told when ordering this the Sales Team couldn't help cancel Digital Vault? Does anyone know what I should do next or shall I just wait and see what happens? Many thanks

  • Upgrade Charge for iTunes Plus Songs

Doesn't anyone feel Apple is doing a disservice to its loyal customers for charging another $.30 for upgrading songs to iTunes Plus when others can get the same songs in the higher quality for the price we originally paid? It seems unfair but I'm not sure how others feel and how we can provide our collective feedback to Apple.

itunes menu > help > Provide itunes feedback
I don't really care. The original songs sounded fine to me for several years.
This upgrade is just marketing to make you want it.
Although I do think getting rid of the DRM is the way to go, it really doesn't matter since I've burned the older songs to an audio CD and can use them how I want.

  • Digital Vault Unable To Login

Recently joined BT Infinity option1 one, so yesterday i tried to access the vault. i ran through the steps to  create my digital vault. however when i try and sign in it doesnt recognise my username or password. so i thought maybe i had got these wrong so i have tried the password/username retrieval but it has no record of my username. so i though maybe the vault registration had failed, so i tried again however when i try to re register i get the following message
"This BT Digital Vault service has already been activated using the email address provided. Please click here to register for an alternative BT Digital Vault product."
please can you advise what i can do to rectify this
    thankyou

I have used Digital Vault since it first started. I keep backups of family photos which could never be replaced.
Its a bit slow to initially upload stuff, but then its quick.
It actually only uploads any changes to files, not the whole file. So if you have a big file which changes on a daily basis, it does not have to upload the whole file again, so its quite efficient.

  • Digital Vault won't let me register or login

As far as I know I haven't ever used Digital Vault before and I wanted to start using it today.
I clicked on "Acivate my Digital Vault account". I Entered my primary email address and it said that Digital Vault was already activated under that username.
Okay I thought, I'll login instead. I entered my email address and usual password. It said not recognised username!
Blimey, so I thought that I had rather perversly registered in the past with a different password (which I'm almost certain I wouldn't have done).
So I clicked on "forgot your password?". After a useless generic help page I eventually found a page that would allow me to reset my password. It asked for my primary email address but said that I wasn't registered with Digital Vault!!! Arrrrrgh!!
Going round in circles and no better off. Any ideas what I can do?
    Thank you!
    Greg

Try logging into your BT member page
    https://bt.edit.client.yahoo.com/membercenter
Under quick links (on the left of the page)  goto manage sub accounts
scroll half way down the page and click Create a new sub account,
this will give you another "whoever"@btinternet.com email address
Then use this new email and password you just created to create a new account on digital vault
    Hopefully it should work then

  • Problems with my Digital Vault account

I have been having problems with my Digital Vault account lately.  For about a week I was told that there was no connection with the server and then I started to receive messages that there was insufficient space left in my account to enable backups of my usual documents.  I knew this was incorrect because my saved documents usually only take up around 50% of the available space.
In order to correct the problem I decided to delete all my saved copies and then re-upload them.   They have all been removed but my 'My Vault' page still shows that something like 2.95 GB of the available 5 GB has been used.
I cannot understand this as  my vault should be empty at the moment .    Has anyone experienced similar problems ?    What can I do to empty my vault so that I can reload my valued documents ?
