Help with LR 5 disk installation

Hi, recently I downloaded a trial of LR5 now that's finished and the develop module is disabled. In this trial period I got a LR5 disk with a new camera purchased so I've also loaded this into my new iMac. Now I need to be able to add my licence number into LR so that I can continue with it but I can't find anywhere to do this as it doesn't seem to recognise my disk version. Please can someone help me sort this out. Thanks

is lr 5 installed?
if so, open your lr 5 trial>click help>activate>enter your serial number and proceed.

Help With New Hard Drive Installation Recovery

I had a bad hard drive crash. I installed a new one and got the bios to boot from the cd drive, with the windows 7
orginal install cd in the drive. It recognized Drive 0, I clicked new in the options. It created ONE System partition.
Installed windows 7 seemingly fine. Inserted the application and driver recovery disk and installed those. It all seemed fine. This morning I turned it on and it the hard drive error message (3F0) please install an operating system. I shut it down and restarted, it seemed normal. I installed a few programs, shut it down again. Returned to it later, started it up again and it took me to the diagnostic screen telling me SMART Check - Not Installed and Short DST - Not Installed.. Can someone tell me how to delete that partition and I can format the drive in a usb sata enclosure and start over again.
Please tell me the correct proceedure to get this laptop back up and running to a factory state. I have original Windows7 and Windows8 and Application and Driver disks for both OS'es.. I want to stay with the Windows7 installation.

It is not impossible that the new hard drive is bad, have seen it before. It is also possible that the sata controller on motherboard is bad-but I would look at that possibilty last. Can you get an exchange on the new hdd?

I need help with burning a disk in elements 11.

In elements 11, how do I manage to burn a disk?

When I complete a folder of photos, I like to burn them to disk. I have found that Picasa (Free from Google), let's me burn a disk with a slide show included. Learning a Mac is a new thing for me. Things are just a little different. Jumping from Elements 6 to 11 is fun to learn. Without the organizer is tough.

CAN YOU HELP WITH TAIYO YUDEN DISKS?

A co-worker made me think about the life of my DVDs that I'm recording my productions on, and I found on various blogs that Taiyo Yuden disks are supposed to be the best (and they are much expensive!). And +R the best media type.
So I got a stack of TY +Rs, I tried to burn a recent production on PE7 and got an error code 2130932483 from PE7! The disk being ejected before the burn process (apparently).
So I checked out the DVD burner (Lite-on LH20A1H) put in the latest firmware (LODD) and tried again.
Same 2130932483 from PE7.
So tried the disks I usually use, Philips and Datawrite, PE7 works fine!
Tried coping a 1G file via Nero7 to the TY disk, and that works fine!
So Help! Is there something in PE7 that I need to change?

I've never had a burn error with TY DVDs, so I don't have any direct knowlege. Not that that helps you.
But, here's how I do things:
Use PRE to "Burn to a folder"
Use ImgBurn (or Nero) to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to a DVD. My DVD supports 16X, but I buy 8X TY DVDs and burn at 2X or 4X (depending on how much of a hurry I'm in).
This gives you several advantages:
Isolates PRE's rendering process from the DVD creation process. As you've discovered, if you use PRE for everything, you have to re-render each time.
You can control your burn speed - the faster you burn the more chances you have of errors
Gives you an automatic backup of your physical DVD (if you keep your "burned" folder - which I do)
If you want to make more copies in the future, you just re-burn a DVD with ImgBurn or Nero. If you save your project, you could probably do this in 2 or 3 clicks.
Not that this answers the question of why TY DVDs are giving you a problem, but it might give you a more workable, flexible workflow.
FYI, Verbatim media comes highly recommended as well.
Just out of curiousity, where did you get your TY media? I've heard of counterfit TY media, and the fact that you're having so many burn issues just seems odd - generally TY is kind of the "gold standard".

Help with Adobe Flash Player Installation

I need help. I have tried several time to download Adobe Flash Player to my computer. But when I get to about the 50% point of the installation I get a message that says "Please close the following programs to continue.....and a small box appears with the words "internet explorer". I make sure that I am not on the internet (close internet explorer by clicking the X in upper right corner), and then hit the RETRY button....but the same message keeps appearing. What do I need to do to at this point so I can complete the installation? Even though I know that the internet is not open...what can I do to make sure that Internet Explorer is not open?

You need to close all iexplore.exe instances; use the Task Manager's Processes tab.

Need help with DM software install - installer thinks I have previous installation, but I don't

This is really frustrating me, but I recently uninstalled v4.3 and have been struggling to re-install ANY version of the DM onto my XP Pro machine. I have followed every bit of advice I can find including clean un-install / install, change the TEMP environment variable, unzip the installer and store locally, but I still can't figure this out.

It seems to think that I have a previous version installed in my Program Files, but no such executable exists (as I mentioned earlier, I have followed the clean install procedures more than once

Help with apex 4.0 installation steps

i tried to install apex 4.0 running on my laptop with oracle 11g on windows7.
unfortunately i am stuck at a point it doesnot accept admin password.
the installation guide listed below is too unstructured and am not sure what all the components it require for apex running?
if anyone has list of software required and the steps (including pre-requisites) in the PROPER ORDER, PLEASE POST. Appreciate your help

Oracle SQL Newbie need help with OE Demo Schema Installation

Hello everybody !
I'm hoping some kind soul can help out this SQL newbie.
First of all i've installed 10g R2 database on a PC running XP SP2.
Oracle is installed on the root C: drive
I'm using the SQL Fundamentals I Exam Guide and DBA Handbook (Both Oracle Press)
as my reference.
My problem is this.
I installed the DB and created the demo HR schema without too much problem
but it's the demo OE schema i'm having problems getting running and cannot
find anywhere on the net that outlines a step by step SQL process.
I am using SQL Plus to execute these commands.
My questions are these:
-For the default tablespace i specify "users" ?
-What do i specify for the temporary tablespace ? "temp" ?
-what directory path do i put for the data files as parameter 6 ?
I put down "C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\demo\schema\order_entry" but i suspect it's
the wrong thing ?
-What do i specify for the writable directory path for the log files ?
Is it C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\RDBMS\log
-And what is "Specify version as parameter 8:" line ?
I assumed it was the db version but i believe it's wrong.
Could somebody please help me ? I've already done my CCNA and i wanted to add oracle under my belt.
I know if i had these few things cleared up for me it would pave the way to actually enjoying learning Oracle :)

I installed the DB products from the companion disk and there was no specific mention of the demo schemas. Regardless... They're all there within the demo subfolder and have already created the hr schema.. I just need somebody (I'll pay if necessary) to PLEASE just answer (what would be easy to you guys my questions so i can move on.

Like i can figure out that the "version in parameter 8" has something to do with the coe, poe & loe files
but i don't know what.

Help with my hard disk or windows 7

After installing windows 7 home premium my hard disk wont stop accessing something. It wont stop like its trying to access but can't. It slows everything down and doesn't let me do anything

Could you use your computer normally? It seems that your installation corrupt.

Help with NWDI Software Component Installation on CRM 5.0?

Hello,
We are currently running CRM 5.0 on Windows Server 2003 with MS-SQL Server. While installing CRM 5.0 we didn't select the DI (NetWeaver Development Infrastructure) software component as we didn't expect earlier to do any Java development. Now, it seems that for E-Commerce enhancements and development we must have NWDI. I have already checked the NW7.0 Java Installation on Windows guide and couldn't get much information on NWDI software component.
Can anyone please guide on the steps for installing NWDI on our CRM Box? Also, any idea on approximately how much space would this require for CRM System?

run netweaver 2004s installation master CD. under that select SAP CRM5.0 Suppoty release-> SAP Systems-> sql-> Central system. select custom installation-> you get ERP 2005 Software units.
under that select the DI option and continue.

Need help with SB X-FI installation

I just got my SB x-fi I cant figure out how to install it. I have a MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard. It uses the nforce4 chipset and I have gig of cruical ram, and a AMD athlon 64 3.0 cpu. I have a WD raptor 40g, and a seagate 300g. The only other thing i have in the computer is a dvd rom dri've. anyway the problem:
With the card installed I get a error message on boot up:
warning: Have option ram cannot be invoke (vendor ID: 000....
The warning goes on but thats the jist of it.
The mobo has onboard audio but I have disabled the only thing I could find in the bios relating to audio. (all that i could find at least) I have tried the card in the 2 and 3 pci slots but same thing happens. I havent tried the st pci slot becuase the PCIE slot with the video card blocks the st pci slot.
I have also deleted and disabled all the onboard audio stuff in windows, but nothing changed.
Any help would be appreciated.

In the Knowledge Base, it says you can have problems with nForce4 motherboards, and suggests that updating the BIOS will solve the problem. Howver, I've got a Gigabyte nForce4 board, updated to the latest BIOS, and no go. Looks to me that the X-Fi and the nForce4 don't play well together.

HT1338 Help with freeing up disk space

i have an error message stating my hard disk does not have enough available space. How can I correct this?

First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
If you're using Time Machine to back up a portable Mac, some of the available space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of files you've recently deleted. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as "Backups." The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself.
To locate large files, you can use Spotlight. That method may not find large folders that contain a lot of small files.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one.
Deleting files inside an iPhoto or Aperture library will corrupt the library. Any changes to a photo library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
Install ODS in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders. It may take some minutes for ODS to list all the files.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with ODS, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Help with canon Lide 50 installation really stuck!

so after about two hours of trying to install my canon lide 50 again to scan some drawings I know now how bad canon is with its support with their scanner software. I have read a few very helpful sites but my problem is unsolved
this blog ( http://blog.dylanmullins.com/?p=254#comment-146) covers the problem by making two folders /Library/Application Support/Canon/ScanGear/Plugins and installing the new canon drivers there.
I did this and everything is in place correctly named but still my scanner goes unrecognized, I have the exact problem as this user.
CNYMIKE: I’ve installed the CanoScan Toolbox 5.0 for my Intel iMac but when I go into settings, the scanner doesn’t show in the dropdown because it can’t see a driver. I have the driver but do not know where to install it so that CanoScan Toolbox 5.0 can see it. Putting it in the same folder as the CanoScan Toolbox 5.0 does nothing. Neither does putting it in /library/application support/canon/ScanGear/plugins.
I installed canoscan toolbox 5.0 and this is the driver I got from canon http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0019057.asp?model=
if anyone thinks the drivers are not in the correct place or know a different driver please let me know this issue is beyond frustrating WAY TO GO CANON!

Help with Mountain Lion disk space!

Hi All,
Recently Upgraded the ol' iMac from 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard, and then Mountain Lion. All went well, but I found everything sluggish after the update. I figured the 4GB RAM and Duo Processor are party to blame, but when I looked at my Disks I found Macintosh HD 2 just sitting there, staring me in the face. Here's a screenshot:

Anyways, I don't understand why I have two disks, especially since there is still a lot of space left.
Could someone please explain how to merge these two spaces back together?
