Hi each time i update to Firefox 4 my computer crashes, i then have to uninstall and re install an earlier version, what can i do to use Firefox 4, thank you

not sure what to write here, as i have already asked the question

Are you using Microsoft word? Microsoft thinks the users are idiots. They put up a lot of pointless messages that annoy & worry users. I have seen this message from Microsoft word. It's annoying.
As BDaqua points out...
When you copy information via edit > copy, command + c, edit > cut, or command +x, you place the information on the clipboard. When you paste information, edit > paste or command + v, you copy information from the clipboard to your data file.
If you edit > cut or command + x and you do not paste the information and you quite Word, you could be loosing information. Microsoft is very worried about this. When you quite Word, Microsoft checks if there is information on the clipboard & if so, Microsoft puts out this message.
You should be saving your work more than once a day. I'd save every 5 minutes. command + s does a save.

Every time I right click on an image and select Download image Firefox crashes . I have reinstalled; uninstalled and deleted folders and then reinstalled; added no plugins; checked I can DL the same images in IE-works good.I use Win7 pro and it works in other profiles in Windows 7. I created a new profile in Windows and that worked for about 2 months and now that has gone the same way as my admin profile has done. I deleted the sqlite download file-still same prob..Please help. I use Firefox 13.0.1

That sounds very frustrating.
By the way, does it say "Download image" or "Save Image As"? Just checking whether you have an add-on downloader in the mix that might be relevant. If you do have an add-on, try using the built-in command.
Do you also crash if you save from here:
right-click page > View Page Info > Media tab > (select image) > Save As
I assume you have seen this article and tried these things: What to do if you can't download or save files.
Have you tried the new Reset feature in Firefox 13? This duplicates certain key data from your active settings folder into a new one, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings. Your plugins will still be active, but could be disabled manually if you like.
More information in this article: Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems.
If the new settings folder has the same problem, you can switch back if you like using Firefox's Profile Manager.
Does it make any difference?

Is there anything else beside the number 2203?
Try removing the current Reader using http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html, then install 11.0.07 from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

• Updated iTunes to newest version, and once iTunes opened, it crashes immediately. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program numerous times. Also had a hard time getting a network connection over the weekend (I knew my connection was fine)

Updated iTunes to the newest version but have been unable to use it since. Once it opens and tries to connect to the iTunes store it crashes and asks me to close the program and report the problem. In the Windows information center, it tells me to update iTunes to the newest version to fix the problem; when I do and I tell it to repair the problem it goes through the motions, but the program doesn't change, it still doesn't work. I have tried uninstalling and resinstalling the program numerous times from the weekend until now to no avail. After the update was completed, it had a difficult time making a network connection; I knew that the connection was fine, as I was on the internet and receiving e-mail at the same time.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

• Adobe cc Updates not Installing on Mac OS 10.10. Everytime I try to install an update to Illustrator cc it fails and I have to uninstall and re-install the program.

After reading the forums I've notice that several people have been having this problem for a while now. The cause seems to be the deletion of additional language files. I do run CCleaner on my mac to keep it clean and reduce the hard drive space as I have a SSD as the main drive. Are there any plans from Adobe to fix this issue? It is really annoying to have to uninstall and reinstall the software every time there's an update. Is there any chance this will be fixed in the next update or 2 as I think I'm going to stop updating cc until it has been fixed?

Rudy_Two76 I would encourage you to disable the portion of CCleaner which is removing the additional language files. Many of the available updates do require these files. This is why they are installed to the computer at the time of installation. Continued removal of the language files will continue to lead to update failures.

• Update without permissions, then had to uninstall and re-install browser

I have Firefox setup to notify me about updates, but not actually update without my say so. Today, Firefox updated itself to v37, crashed, then would not re-open. After several re-starts of my computer I had to uninstall and re-install the browser and now it on update v37. If I wanted it to auto-update I would select the option for that, but I don't.
The questions are 'why did it update when it's not supposed to' and 'why did it have to be re-installed after it updated itself without permission'.

When the message about a Firefox update being available comes up, the user has to [first] see that message, which tends to go behind the main browser window if the user is typing or clicking something at the exact instance that dialog box appears. And [2nd] say "not now" immediately, otherwise after 30 seconds the download will proceed without waiting for a response. It has been like that since June 2008 when Firefox 3.0 was released.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Also make sure that the firewall isn't blocking Firefox if you've used system restore.
Note that using System Restore can cause your Firefox installation to get corrupted because not all files are restored (only files in a white-list), so be cautious with using System Restore.
You may need to (re)install software that was affected.
Delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling to be sure that all files get updated.

• Please explain something strange that happened when I elected to receive an important security update to firefox. Thank You!

I got a notice (pop up) saying I needed an important security update to firefox, so I did it, but it ran for a really long time, and then I saw on the lower action bar that it was transferring information from or to l.collective-media.net; Why?! I "x'd" off the screen quickly; Please explain this too me, thank you.

Sorry I gave this a 'this helped me' but after a long struggle I found some ticked box somewhere from some unauthorised chrome extension blaaa....... the link you gave was great, not only did it confirm all the bad things google is supposed to be up to it provided a better browser. Cheers man.
Anyone who find this; I disabled all extension in chrome. I then searched the word proxy in the settings section. A button came up, "change proxy settings" I clicked on it. Earlier it was greyed out as an extension was interefering.. It brought up a box with my own settings from my computer. Then I clicked LAN settings, then unchecked the 'Use a proxy server' button.
P.S. If you're using chrome, bail, and dowload Komodo Dragon. It's virtually identical, but you're not tracked, and you can use chrome extensions, and you can quickily transfer your chrome preferences into it.

I have an iPad2 and recently updated the ios. Since the update, I cannot connect to wi-fi through my router. I can still connect at work, but at home it will just not work. I have tried everything I can think of. I have reset, uninstalled, re-installed, and changed routers. 3 times. I cannot get it to work. Does this have something to do with the update? I have even reset the network settings, and restored the ipad itself to factory default settings. Can anyone help me?

Try and "Forget This Network"
Settings>Wi-Fi>tap little arrow on right of network.

• When I open Firefox, it goes to the first page and then stops, saying "Not Responding" with the cursor spinning. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for any help

When I open Firefox, it goes to the first page I open, but then stops and says "Not Responding" with the mouse cursor spinning. I hit the close button and it says Windows is searching for a solution (which doesn't come).
When I open Firefox again, it says:
Well, this is embarrassing.
Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page.
You can try:
Removing one or more tabs that you think may be causing the problem
Starting an entirely new browsing session
Any ideas? I gretly appreciate any help. Thanks!!

What is that first page?
Can't you open any web pages in Firefox?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

• Installed v 3.6.24 - Mac G5, OS 10.5.8- even Google takes ENORMOUS long time: 3-5 mins. I restarted. No difference. Do I need to back-install an earlier version of Firefox, that was working great? No problem BTW with my net connectivity.

My question is the details.

• Firefox was taking 3 tries to open and run and now it is opening up hundreds of windows. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing already.

I revamped my computer with all new hardware and installed Firefox. I found that it was taking 3 tries to get the window to stay up and not crash immediately. This has been ongoing for a few months. For no reason that I can see (I have not downloaded anything new), it is now opening up hundreds of windows and does so with just one click on the icon instead of the usual two. I can start to close the windows and narrow it down to just one, sometimes. Other times it just freezes or starts to open up new windows again.
