Hi Guys After publishing project ....

I lose the right hand border, the content area seems to extend and overlap the border, any suggestions.

It looks to me like the HTML frame that your SWF sits in is cutting off the content.
Either your Frame isnt the right size for some reason, or your SWF file has zoomed in within the frame.
I would try re-publishing your file and make sure you select scalable HTML content.
Then take you .html file and drop it into notepad. Where it says the line  var so = new SWFObject("SRM Simulations.swf", "Captivate", "100%", "100%", "10", "#CCCCCC"); change the 100% to either number greater than 100% or type in the size of your project. The first 100% is Width , the second is height. e.g. var so = new SWFObject("SRM Simulations.swf", "Captivate", "1280", "720", "10", "#CCCCCC");. Also bear in mind that if you have a TOC permentaly displayed it adds width to your project. (i thinks its something like 121 pixels).
Hopefully that helps.

  • Published Projects in RoboHelp 7 Generate Large Quantities of Windows/Temp Files When Open

After publishing a project in RoboHelp 7 WebHelp Pro and then
opening the project from the web server, RoboHelp generates
hundreds of RHS*.tmp files in the Windows/Temp directory. This
causes a Protcol host error which crashes RoboHelp. Any ideas on
    what is causing this?

    Hi Vivek,
Thanks for clearing that up about the tmp files problem. This
    is good.
The problem I am getting with RH8 (and same errors I received
when trying to connect to RH7 Server) is that when trying to
publish, get "Publishing has been cancelled. Connection failed.
Please check the connection and post again. Native Error:
    Unauthorized".
We thought we had the RH8 Server configured correctly and
currently the site says "Congratulations! The Adobe RoboHelp Server
has been successfully created". Like Cape Ops, we too ended up
resorting back to our RH5 RoboEngine Server after spending months
trying to publish succesfully to RH7 Server. Adobe support couldn't
really offer any solution to solve our problem. We have had a few
very experienced IT people working on this but can not get to work.
With RH8 Server they have been having problems getting IIS and
    Tomcat to communicate.
If you could provide any help as to what we should be looking
at, please let me know and I can pass on to my IT guy who is trying
    to configure it.
We can't afford to spend much more time trying to get this to
work and I would love to be able to post back here saying this was
solved. Otherwise, we'll continue publishing RH7 to RoboEngine
Server, but my IT guy is suggesting that I look at other software.
    Thank you!

  • No audio in accordion interaction after publishing as HTML5 in Captivate 7

    Hi guys,
we have a problem with the accordion interaction in Captivate 7. After publishing it as an HTML5 project the audio (mp3) doesn't play on the accordion interaction slide. The interaction itself looks great and clean, and the audio plays fine in .swf and preview, but it doesn't play when published as HTML5.
Any suggestions? Do you need more info? Let me know.
    Thanks so much again,
    Nat

Add the file to your Captivate install directory Gallery > Interactions folder.  (Make a backup copy of the original file in case you need it later.)
    E.g. C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 6 x64\Gallery\Interactions
Make a note of the name of the interaction. Then open a new Captivate project and from the Insert menu, select Interactions.
Find the interaction in the screen and insert it into the slide.
Then configure the interaction, publish and test.

  • Premiere elements 12 is cutting off images after finalizing project

I have recently finished a music video project and after finalizing the project and saving it down as a wmv. file, I have played back the video and parts have been cut off. I use a lot of green screen keying in my videos and at times the tops of peoples head will be cut off and images aren't aligned the way I had them within the editing program. This is only happening after I save & share the project, but yet everything looks fine in the editing window. No one's heads or limbs are cut off and the back ground images for the green screen effect look fine in the editing window, yet once the project is saved down the background images aren't stretched across the screen like they appeared in the editing program. I don't understand why this is happening and I'm seeking help before I resort to modifying any of my work again.
Case & point, why is what I see in the editing window different from what I see after the project is finalized? PLEASE HELP!!

    screamindemon
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit in case I need to mention specifics.
What you describe is probably a mismatch of project settings importing and exports. So let us start with details.
What have you or the project set automatically for the project preset? (See Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and the readings for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio even if they appear to be grayed out.)
What are the properties of what you are putting on the project's Timeline? Do the properties of the source media match the details of the project preset that you are using.
Then the most likely cause of the problem...your export settings.
From what you wrote, you are probably using
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    Windows Media
Now the important part, what are you selecting for "Presets" and what are your settings under the Advanced Button/Video Tab and Audio Tab of the preset selected?
The answers will be in your details.
If you have questions about what is written or need clarification on it, please do not hesitate to ask. But, the answers are need for all of the above.
    Thank you.

  • DVD authoring after editing project with FCP X

FCP X has extremely limited DVD authoring options within it. Can't put more than one short movie on a disc, only two menu templates to choose from, etc. So my question is what do I use to author a DVD after editing projects with FCP X? I know I need to use Compressor to set chapter points, etc., but what do I use to build the DVD menu and burn the DVD? I certainly hope I am not limited to iDVD only, which is not really a pro application, and I gather that DVD Studio Pro is no longer being sold. Amazingly, I asked this question at a One-to-One session at an Apple Store and the guy there suggested Adobe Encore ... I was totally shocked! Does anyone have an answer to all this?

Encore is very good, but you have to buy PPro to get it, you could look on eBay for a copy of DVDSP. It does look like Apple will not be offering a Pro Level DVD authoring package anymore, it's a shame as DVDSP works very well still and they could have just offered it as a standalone.

  • Captivate 7: slide with mouse will not auto advance after publishing

After I export my Captivate video, any slide that has a mouse object on it does not auto advance. I suspected that maybe the clicking sound file default attached to the action may have become corrupted, so I opened the sound file attached to "single-click" from Captivate. In the VisualClicks folder, there were no sound files. So, I opened the ClickSounds folder and attached the Mouse.mp3 file to this action. After publishing the training, the slide still will not auto advance. The slides that do not have the mouse action advance automatically as they should. The sound file may not be the issue (going to try to uncheck all of the Mouse Click Sound check boxes and republish to see if that helps).
Was hoping to find a solution for future videos.
Each slide is basically a layer of audio > slide > png file > the occasional smart object and/or text > mouse. I have no quizzes or video.
When publishing I use the following setup swf/html5 with swf + html5 checked and scalable HTML content checked. We use Google Chrome and I've had numerous people try my HTML link after I've uploaded all files and everyone has the same issue.
1- Do you happen to know why the mouse action would cause the slide to not auto advance, and if so please let me know a solution so the user doesn't have to click next. If the mouse itself isn't the culprit, any other suggestions on what could cause this?
2- Is there a way to make changes to the audio or override the mouse properties on all slides? I tried right clicking and "use the current mouse pointer for all slides" but it didn't change any of the properties. Thankfully my video is only 110 slides or it would have been even more painful.
    Captivate 7
    Windows 8.1

    Of course! Here ya go
For the record, I did create a new project with only two slides to try and duplicate the issue. I had the same problem. I unchecked the Mouse Click Sound check box, republished and the slide auto advanced. I'm wondering if a default sound file was somehow moved or deleted? I discussed uninstalling and reinstalling C7 onto my laptop, but that's a frustrating solution haha

  • Different background colors after publishing

I imported a powerpoint presentation into Captivate 7 and everything looks fine in the film strip. However, when I preview or publish the project some of the background colors change dramatically (dark blue/grey turns into sky blue). Is there a way to get around this prioblem?

Here is what the color difference looks like. The first is after publishing and the second is what it looks like within captivate

  • Inserted FLV files not playing in a published project.

The issue: Inserted FLV files display (play) when previewing a project but not in a published project.
My setup: Windows XP and Captivate 5
    Questions:
       1) When in Filmstrip view only the movie playback bars show, not an image of the actual movie, is this correct?
       2) When I preview a project for the first time, the FLV files display (play) in Preview mode, HOWEVER, any time I preview the project after that, the movies do not play.
       3) When I publish a project, the inserted FLV files do not display (play), they only show the movie playback bars.
    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah, all the files are in the same directory.

  • Flash movie lagging after publishing

    Hello,
I have a short animation in the beginning of my CP-projects, like an intro. When I publish the project and play it either in Flashplayer or via the htm-file, the "intro" flash movie is lagging a lot. It's like it's not fully loaded even though I've played around with the preloader in CP.
When I first created the animation in Flash it was around 3 MB which I then got down to around 250 kb, which I thought would do the trick. It might be a bit better, but it's still a problem.
So the first slide with the flash movie is lagging when starting the published project, the second slide is also lagging a bit, but after a while it gets up to speed, like it has been loaded. If I then go back to the previous slide, the intro slide it's running a lot smoother.
So how can I make sure the project will run as it should when I start it the first time?
    Kind regards,
    Patrik

No worries, should've figured out you meant the size Anyway, the animation is 273 kb as of now.
I tried to add an all white slide with nothing on it for 25 seconds. It works a bit better, the following slides runs a bit smoother. Still a bit of a hassle to add a slide with no real information on it. Guess I have to be creative.
    Kind regards,
    Patrik

  • Cap6 Missing slides after publishing

Hi.  Captivate 6 (with latest patch) is failing to publish all slides in a course. With each republish, different slide are skipped. Note that this same course file published successfully about a month ago. The only difference then was that the project did NOT use a playbar - it had custom back and next buttons. Buttons have been removed and the default playbar is now in use.
There are only 15 slides. The number of slides that show up after publishing varies each time.
After one publish, I was able to back into the missing slide - then it disappeared again.
    Project specifics:
publishing to SWF (tried both Flash 10 and 11)
    no audio
no other imports (such as PowerPoint slides)
contains a few simple advanced actions (show/hide)
    contains a name variable
    uses animation effects
    No slides are Hidden.
    there is no branching.
    ...what else?
Assuming the file was corrupted - I started a new project from scratch, just copying the objects and master slides to the new project - exact same thing happened in the newly created project.  I also tried using different playbar themes.  Nothing is working. Help?

Are you working on project files stored locally on your hard drive?
Are you on a corporate network with roaming profiles or virtual My Documents folders?
Are you always using Force Republish All Slides when publishing?

  • Not able to publish project as a single swf File

    Hello Captivate experts.
I have a problem publishing only one swf file with Captivate.
My project consists of three slides. The first one is a introduction Slide, the second and the third one only contain one swf  each (swf that i also created with captivate).
These files are the files who always get published together with the main .swf. So after publishing I got three swfs instead of only one
I know that a topic like this has been discussed, especially because of the new feature of Captivate 4 wich allows to export only one file, but so far i haven't read anything about swf files that can not be included. (I only found that flash video can not be inserted into a single swf).
I realized that this problem only occurs with swf files created with captivate. Swf files created with Flash don't result in a septerated file.
Did anybody have this problem before? Does anyone know a workaround?
    Thanks in advance
    captiware

    HI Captiware,
When you insert a swf, which was created from Captivate, as animation into Captivate and publish => the swfs are kept external. This is by design.

  • Titles/Captions in Dutch remain in "Preview", but disappear (become defaults in English) after "Publish to Devices".

In my project all (sub)titles and captions (in Dutch) remain in "Preview", but disappear (become defaults in English) after "Publish for Devices".
    How can I solve this?

    Beste Lieve,

  • Adding published project to wordpress blog

Could someone help me figure out how to add a published Adobe Captivate project to a wordpress page please. I tried to insert the swf file but the videos in my project don't play. Thanks.

    Hi Lilybiri
It looks like the problem is from how i inserted the videos into my captivate project, this is because I have tried ti add the same published project into another site under a different host but the same problem exist. On my computer the published project plays perfect with all the videos . The videos I'm talking about were youtube videos I downloaded to my computer. In inserting the videos I used Shift+Ctrl+F I then browsed to the location of the video on my computer and insert. When the video is inserted under the General in properties it will show Progressive download video. After that I publish my project. Am I doing something wrong?

  • Animation circles not working after publishing

I'm using Captivate 8.  I am using animated circles from the animation gallery.  They look great in preview mode.  However, after publishing, I can see just a peek of the red.  The same with the animated red boxes from the gallery.
    Help.

    Normal project.
I resolved it, following advice of someone on forum who was having similar

  • Clickbox will not open file after published

    Good morning,
I am working on a project where we are quizzing users.  They must refer to a PDF docuemnt as part of the decision making process.  I have added a click box that allows users to click to open the PDF docuement.  Of course, when I publish it, I get the warning to make sure the files are exported.  So, I copy and paste the two files into the output folder and uploaded it to my personal sharepoint site to test.  Of course when I try to run it in a web environment, the file will not open.  I cannot figure out what else I need to do to get these files to open after publishing.  The Help file is worthless around this and I did some searches and have not found anything on the expert boards from Rod or Lilly.  I am kinda at a loss. I could upload the files to our LMS and just point to the UR but I don't like that when the location changes.
    Any thoughts?
    Eric

What was the format of the link to the PDF that you used in your Captivate file?
