How do I debug an http service over a LAN in flex4

Hi I have a problem I would really like some help with.I am hoping to use PHP as a back end for my app. I don't think AMF looks viable as I can't change the php.ini file on the production server or install Zend. As my data requirements are very small I have opted for http service calls .My set up is all my files are on a development machine and I'm editing them through a lan connection on windows vista. I have php Zend server runing on the server with mysql set up.
My problem relates to testing. When I debug the file the calls don't seem to get through. The Network monitor confirms this. Also the spinning Icon stays up. I don't get any exception however.
If I then open up the swf file through the network share then the file works. If I copy it from the share to my hard drive it doesn't. I don't understand whats going on but it's making debugging difficult as I can't use traces this way and exceptions are ugly.
Is there a simple solution to this problem?
Things it can't be : firewall. I can definitely open this address on port 80. Also the network address is right and I assume that if I open the client on my machine then it is connecting from my machine, so when it works the address must be right. The only thing I can think is the cross domain policy but I don't see why that should occur when the files on the same machine or does flex create a local copy for testing?

I'm pretty sure you can do this by making a manual menu.
>Insert a menu from your widget menu
>Select the menu options for your widget
>You will see an option that says "Menu Type" with choices of All Pages, Top Level Pages, or Manual
>Select "Manual"
You will have to manually set up your entire menu, but it will enable you to do what you are trying to do. Create the menu buttons that you need and name them. You can then select an individual menu button and the "Hyperlink" option appears in the top menus. You can either direct it to a page on your site or put in a link that directs them away from your site like you are looking to do.
Hope this helps! Nobody is responding to my request, so I figured I would try to respond to someone else while I was waiting!

  • Http service over ssl with IE8 not working works in all other browsers

    Hi,
The web server is running ssl (https) and the server as a valid certificate. The main swf loads but then I make a http service call to a relative address on the same server for some database information I get an IO error
This works fine in all browsers except internet explorer, however IE will work if I don't use ssl and use normal http.
Is there a setting in IE that would allow this, is there a known issue and better still a workaround. I have tried trusted site setting and everything else I can think off.
    TIA
    Harry

I had this problem, and it was related to the way IE8 handled ssl certificate revocation checking.  I had to turn off the check box in IE8 options that told it to check for revocation.

  • How can we debug Oracle Http Server on AIX.

Our requirement is to attach a debugger (dbx) to oracle http server on AIX.
For that purpose we need to start the OHS webserver service that is opmn in a single process mode the way we start Apache webserver by -X option.
Can anyone help how can we start OHS in single thread.

Hi,Welcome to the forum: please read the FAQ and forum sticky threads (if you haven't done so already), and ensure you've updated your profile with a real handle instead of "user9201760".
You'll get a faster, more effective response to your questions by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This would normally include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
<li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s)
Thanks for having included most of the information that is relevent to your question.
I have installed Oracle Apex 4.1 on Oracle 10g database but I want to configure Oracle HTTP Server on another Server(Microsoft Windows 2008 R2). Here I have placed Apache Tomcat 6.0 version already. Can anyone please tell me how is it possible to install and configure Oracle HTTP Server on Windows 2008 along with Apache Tomcat? Why? Installing OHS and the DB on separate servers will incur additional licensing costs.
More common confugrations would be to use Apache as a reverse proxy to an OHS+DB server, or Tomcat+APEX Listener with a DB server and not using OHS at all. (Although I understand Tomcat is not an Oracle-supported platform for the APEX Listener. For any questions on this or other Listener-related topics use the {forum:id=858} forum.)

  • How do I complain about rude service over the online chat?

While using the online chat feature one of the advisors was very rude to me and did nothelp solve the problem.

This morning, I called 1800-80-3638, apple store support. This gal answered and I told her I need to send my iPhone 5s back to apple for reset. She asked me to tell her why... I explained and then she said she don understand my problem... Then I said that's why I call apple support... Guess what she replied "You do not know how to use smart phone so that's you own bloody problem"
I was so shocked that such a prestigious company support team could have such a reply to customers!!!! I asked for her name and she refused to answer and said I want to speak to her supervisor.
So, I called the toll-free number again. Again, its her!!!!
So, I called the toll-free number the third time, before I can anything, she said "You can not find my supervisor!!!"
Then I went to apple website, there is no customer complain tab.... No place to complain except the feedback site... What a big worldwide company but there is no place to handle complains!!!! Shame on you,

  • How to debug sercued web service client ?

I ususally use TCPMon or Jdeveloper Http analyzer to debug non-secured Java SE web service client application . however, how do I debug secured web service client, e.g. web service with OWSM policy enable service?
I tried and got bad certificate error since the TCPMon or Jdeveloper Http analyzer act as proxy.
BTW, I'm not able to install any such proxy on server side.
    Thanks

    Hi,
As far as i know. the only way to debug a webservice is from SE80.
    open your webservice from se80,
Give your REQUEST as an XML file,(put a break point in side ur web-class)and analyis ur RESPONSE.
you are using RFC but it seams that problem is not in that function module else you can use SRDEBUG tcode to debug remote enabled function module.
If you are getting error in CALL TRANSFORMATION.
The only posibility is the data u r passing it for converting it in XML.
just post your code with CALL TRANSFORMATION or the point which is going into dump....

  • BizTalk Tracking Profile Editor not tracking the data and how to implement the Orchestration as wcf service over SSL

    Hi Ashwinprabhu,
thank you very much for your answer.
i have one more query, I have orchestration published as wcf service in IIS and internally orchestration calling one more service , it means orchestration sending a request and getting response back from the service.
actually we are implementing the copy of that called service through biztalk orchestration for system automatic and tracking failed messages and n/w failures.
But tracking profiler not tracking the Data.
And we need to develop the http service as https(Over SSL), we implemented in iis using self
signed certificate, it is working just browser for wsdl(in browser), we are not able to test the service in wcf test client, it is giving wsdl error, in wsdl schema reference showing with HTTP only,
please help me how to resolve the issue.
    Teegala

First things first, I think it's best to publish only schemas as WCF service for dependency management reasons. That said - WSDL availability is covered in the WCF adapter under the behaviors. If you're using HTTPBasic this may be hard to modify, but using
WCFCustom allows you to add the WSDL behavior and specify that it should be available via HTTPS.
As to the BAM, are you using TPE within the orchestration or at the port level?  I'd imagine your TPE tracks the start and end events of your orchestration using the Orchestration Schedule.  If you're fairly confident that the TPE is correct and
yet don't see BAM data 1) make sure your SQL Agent is running healthy and all jobs look OK and 2) check the TDDS tables in both the message box and the BAMPrimaryImport databases.  These will show you if there has been some sort of sync issue. There's
even a TDDS errors tables - so check that out.
    Kind Regards,
    -Dan

  • Error calling external web service over HTTPS

    Hi everyone
I'm trying to call an external web service over HTTPS, and continually get the following error:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.wsdl.exceptions.WSDLException: Peer sent alert: Alert Fatal: handshake failure
I haven't tried doing this before, so not quite sure where to start. I have a client certificate that must be used to access the remote web service, and I think the problem is associating the client cert with the web service call.
Has anyone else tried this before? Any suggestions of where to look?
I've had a brief look at Key Storage in NWA, but it's not something I'm familiar with - so not sure if it's even the right place to be looking.
Some help on this would be great!
    Thanks
    Stuart

    Thanks Aleksandar
Here's the output from the trace. Unfortunately the SAP forums don't allow attachments, so it may be difficult to read. Please let me know if you see anything that may help.
    Thanks

  • How to debug ABAP Web services from Microsoft Visual Studio

When developing .NET based Web services clients using Visual Studio that call Web services in SAP NetWeaver .NET developers would like to be able to debug inside SAP. In my blog <a href="/people/andre.fischer/blog/2007/02/07/how-to-debug-abap-web-services-from-microsoft-visual-studio to debug ABAP Web services from Microsoft Visual Studio</a> I would like to point .NET developers to the fact that SAP NetWeaver offers the option of external debugging to perform this task. Though the steps that have to be performed are described in the SAP Online Help I am sure that this option is not well known amongst the .NET developer community.

    Hello WilliamIV,
    >>How can I "configure" Visual Studio debugger to allow validation to work?
Since I do not have a VS2012 environment, according to your provided link, I created a test demo with VS2013, however, both ways catch the validation error:
If possible, you could have a try with VS2013 to see if it works or run the example on other machine with VS2012 to see if this is caused by the VS environment, in my side, I do not change any configuration, all are default.
If I misunderstood this issue, please feel free to let me know.

    Hi,
First create wallet. Place files to server folder and then configure your Apex instance.
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21678/adm_mg_service_set.htm#sthref264
Then you should be able consume HTTPS web services

  • How to use IGS via Web Services (or HTTP)?

IGS is well integrated in Web Dynpro, BSP, BEx and so on...
Via ABAP it's easy to call it but I do not find how to use it via HTTP (or better Web Services).
    Any idea?
    Sergio

    Dear Sergio,
a scenario that makes use of the HTTP interface of the IGS is Web Dynpro Java. This may also be an alternative for you. But with a lot of technical background it is also possible to generate charts using the IGS via HTTP directly (Web Services are not supported).
Prerequisite is an IGS somewhere in the network that has at least one HTTP listener defined and the XMLCHART interpreter is installed.
You must send an HTTP request to the adress http://<igs-host>:<igs-port>/XMLCHART. The request must at least contain the parameter with name data as first parameter. This parameter contains the chart data as XML, see below. In addition all further parameters (the name doesn't matter but I would recommend something like custom1, custom2, ...) must contain the chart customizing as XML.
If you already used the XMLCHART interpreter in an ABAP application or BSP you may know the data and customizing xml format. If not you can download the SAP ChartDesigner from the Downloads --> Web AS section of the SDN. This download contains a pdf describing the data xml format and the tool itself which can be used to create the customizing xml in an interactive manner.
All HTTP related coding must be done by you.
    Best regards
    Matthias

  • How to deploy and debug java web service in eclipes or using any other soft

    Hai,
can any one tell me how to deploy and debug java web service in eclipes or using any other software.
i have used tomcat web server and jdk1.4.0 to develop web service.
we have used web service to interact with MS outlook .
    bye
    sudhakar.m

    Hi Sudhakar,
If you are used to working with ant then you can very well use eclipse to deploy your web service.
You would usually have the ant script in the source root working directory. From eclipse if you select the build file from the navigator view and right click you will see a run ant option in the pop up menu.
Select that option and you would be able to see each targets with a checkbox select option. So define each target maybe one for wsdl2java conversion, one for compilation and one for deploying your web services. You can either make all of them run by having depends option on or you can run them individually as it takes your fancy.
I am not sure about debugging a web service yet.
    Hope this helps

The truth is out there? Does anyone know the URL?
