How i can force a portlet of JSC to accept portal theme ?

is there any way to force the portlet to accept the portal theme ?
for example i developed the portlet using JSC and it has blue them , now it should accept the them that portal administrator or user select from themes available in portal.
so ,

without that portlet development does not go anywhere because people can not design a them for portlet and Portal separately.

my users login to page by portlet on all pages or custom login page.

How to reset the JSF Portlet session state in weblogic portal 10.3

Hi All,
We are implementing our application with the jsf1.2 with 10.3.0 portal framework.
in a tab i placed my jsf portlet, it will navigate up to 4 pages. We do have some other tabs too in our application. So when i navigate to other tabs and when i comeback to the jsf portlet tab i am resetting the portlet state to first page by onDeactivation portal event.
But the problem when the user within the tab and navigate to pages if he clicks again the tab it is not redirecting to start page.
I know we do have refresh action in our pageflows .. but how to reset the jsf portlet to start page when it is not deactivating. Please do help me..

How I can forced close the Citadel Trace References

On my application I write data to Citadel traces using "Database Writing
VIs" (Open Trace.vi .. Write Trace.vi ... Close Trace.vi).
Sometimes if my application "crash" the Close Trace.vi is not executed and that's why the "trace references"
are NOT closed.
When start my application again I get error: "There is already an open writer for the selected trace."
This is natural because the references are not closed when application crash.
My question: How can I solve problem like this?
Is there any function on the Citadel Engine what I can use to "force"
close all writer references, reboot engine etc, get references already opened?
An attachments there is example VI and EXE.

I can see that we have Services as NI Citadel 4 Service and NI Citadel 5 from Services in Administration tools. Can you try to restart them and see if the effect is something that you need. From then maybe we could try something out.

How we can reduce the star-up time of weblogic portal server

weblogic portal server takes 8-10 minutes to start on portal server
can anybody suggest any remedy by which I can cring down this startup time bye 3-4 minutes.

The reason portal server takes so much time is because in the background its starting many services and waiting for them to start completely.
The services are - Autonomy search engine, which has 4-5 compoments, if you are using pointbase then it will start pointbase DB.
To reduce the startup time you can disable autonomy, similarly you can use oracle or some other DB.
Server opens connections at startup according to whats defined in JDBC connection pool configuration, you can tune this too.

A great program for changing the video format, is Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/) (both for mac/pc), and its even free ! It comes with a preset for iPad video, and it can rip almost any dvd for most devices.

My MacBook has been "moving to trash" 4 items for a LONG time now. I can't force quit this or stop it in any way. Does anyone know how I can get this to stop, I'm pretty sure its slowing my whole system down because it is constantly working on this.

Means you have an incompatible Safari extension installed. Look in the /Home/Library/Safari/Extensions/ folder for the offending plug-in and delete it.

One thing you could try, if you are using Sun Webserver as the Web Container and
installed it in the default path:
/opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/bin/wdeploy list -i <portalserverhostname> -v https-<portalserverhostname>
will list all deployed web applications, which include your portlets.

I am having trouble completely emptying my trash on my mac. It says items are in use, but they are not. How do I force these items to be removed?

I have copied dvds that I own, for backup copies, onto the desktop of my macbook. Then I've placed a copy into iTunes for viewing later. Once the copy is over in iTunes, I delete the copy of the movie on the desktop and it goes to the trash. I do this because 1) I don't want to clutter up the desktop and 2) I don't want multiple copies of the movies on my hard drive. When I go to empty the trash, it says these items are in use and will not remove them from trash. Why is that? They are not in use as far as I know. How do I force them to be removed from trash?

I had a similar problem. I think it was caused by deleting an app while it was still running. I should have shut the app down before deleting freom the applications folder. When I tried to empty trash I received message:
"The operation can't be competed because the item something.app is in use."
Go to utilities, open a terminal, change directory to the hidden Trash folder and remove the offending item in use. Example:
cd ~/.Trash
sudo rm -rf item
Next time, maybe try quting iTunes before deleting and see if it makes any difference.

So is this the way Apple works now? Not solving customers problems? I'm sure so many users have had this problem. I've had, and I reinstalled Mavericks 3 times. Works fine for some days and then several Apple Apps stop working. Is that a way to force us ti update to Yosemite? (I don't want to) and then pay to update some third party programs (i.e. Pro Tools). Also, there are so many 15" MacBooks Pro with graphic problems and of course the guys at the Apple Service Centers always say: "It's the logic board, you can have it replaced, but it's so expensive I would recommend a new Mac". I really, really miss Steve Jobs!

How I can to know in JSP if one page has been called by other page

I have a JSP portlet with one form to submit some information about clients.
When the visitor click one image the form is submitted correctly and the information is stored into database.
The problem is that I can't clean the values of the strings after the insert and when I call the page again, the code insert again the last information in the form.
My JSP code is supported in the feedback code of JPDK, but I can't ask for the value of submit button because the submit is done by the click over the image, with the next code:

I ask for one input box required, if is null run the insert code, if don't I display the form page.
How I can clean this variables or how I know if the page has been submitted immediatly before. What variable I can request in JSP to know that or what I can do?

I'm not sure that any javascript is necessary. You just need to turn the image into a 'proper' submit button, using the <BUTTON> element. This will cause the form and all its data to be POSTED, rather than to be sent as a query in a GET request. Note that it is important that the form passes on the value of the PortletRendererUtil.PAGE_LINK parameter using a hidden field, so that the jsp remembers the portal 'context' it is running in. E.g.
