    The documentation says that
    The Portal Favorites iView contains a freely definable list of links for direct access to items that you use regularly. This can include the following:
    ●     Portal pages and iViews that run as full-page applications
    ●     Documents, folders, and other items in KM repositories
    ●     External items, such as Internet pages
    So we can't do it for Roles.

    Hi all:
    can any tell me "can we do reporting on master data". if so, HOW? can you please give me a step by step procedure.
    This is what i know:plz correct me if i am wrong.
    1. assuming that i want a report on 0sales_area.
    2. i need to make that DS available in Infoprovider tree.
    3. to do so, in infosource, i need to choose flexible updating for Master data, which in turn makes the Infoobject available in Infoprovider.
    4. then i need to create Update rules.
    5. and can get a report in BEx?
    Am I correct?

    Kedar,
    Direct update is generally used for Master data infoobject & here no update rules are used, that means data from source system passes though transfer structure, rules, & communication structure directly to Data target i.e. InfoObject.
    Flexible Update - generally used for transaction data ( nowadays can be used for few master data as well) has another set of rule after communication structure i.e. update rule before moving data to data target.

    Use T.Code XD02.
    Enter Customer No,Company code,Sales Org, Distribution channel and division and press Enter or
    Enter Customer no,company code and click on customer's sales area, you will see Sales Org, Distribution channel and division,select the Sales org,Sales Org, Distribution channel and division and press enter.
    You can make necessary changes to customer master

    Help! Why can I not copy paste anymore in Dreamweaver CC? It was working fine a week ago, did not install or delete anything in this time, the options from the pull down menu are ghosted, ctrl+c ctrl+v doesnt work. I could use paste special from the pull down menu and did.  Paste special worked once, now is ghosted too.

    Try renaming the Configuration folder to Configuration-backup.

    set Auto submit true. you can't set the value for ValueChangedListener property in current release of R2. This is bug and you can raise SR for same. But, this won't cause saving data into USR table. ValueChandedListener property for Modify User page only.
    As you said, data is not being saved in the USR table then verify your steps again:
    create sandbox->users->create user/edit user/view user details page->click customize->leftTopcorner->View->Source->select area->edit->Click Add Content (on left top)->Data Component catalog->scroll down and select User VO->Refresh dialogue box->select the field and click 'Add'->on dropdown select 'ADF Input test w/label/for view user page it should be output test w/label->close that window->Check if it added to create user form->save and close customization

    for valuechangedlistener the fixes all ready available. you have to do some workaround as other poster has given in above link:
    1.Create a sandbox and activate it. Open the page that contains the UDF, and click Customize.
    2.Select View, Source.
    3.Note the value of the valueChangeListener property of a predefined field. To do so:
    a.Click the predefined field, and then click Edit to open the Component Properties dialog box.
    b.Copy the value of the valueChangeListener property.
    4.Export the sandbox as a ZIP file.
    5.Extract the ZIP file and edit the jsff.xml file for the specific screen.
    6.Add the following attributes to the ADF tag, for example af:inputText, for the UDF:
    ◦valueChangeListener=VALUE_COPIED_IN_STEP3
    ◦autoSubmit="true"
    7.Create the ZIP file for the sandbox.
    8.Import the sandbox.
    9.Publish the sandbox.

    In Query Designer, I have no Roles set up yet. I would like to have two roles:
    Sales
    Finance
    Results - I would like to see some users only can save new query to Sales but not to Finance. Can anyone tell me the detail steps how to do this? Thanks a lot!

    Steps 1)PFCG -->create ROLE
          2)SU01 -->assign ROLE to user
          3)RSECADMIN -->create authorization object,assign activities of 0TCT*
    Note - RSECADMIN uses 0TCT* objects
           basis ADMIN should have S_RSEC object to be assigned in order for him to use 0TCT* objects
    Roles - Query
    PFCG - create Role
    Authorization tab -change authorization data
    S_GUI   = *
    S_TCODE = RRMX
    S_USER_AGR
    ACTVT = 2,3 and ACT_GROUP = *
    S_USER_TCD = RRMX
    Profiles to be given to developer
    SAP_ALL
    SAP_NEW
    0BI_ALL is the new object which gives all authorizations to users.

    I am trying to intercept a user's login to our ADF application (to log it to a database). I have written a custom login page and backing bean to handle the login using:

    What I need to do, however, is determine what roles a user has in the app, at the "???" point in the above code. If I interrogate the 'mySubject' object, it lists the groups from our authentication source that the user is a member of. In ADF Security, I've mapped these "Enterprise Roles" to "Application Roles", and need to get access to the Application Roles before redirecting them to the adfAuthentication servlet.
    I've tried using ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().getUserRoles() where the '// ???' is, but it returns the 'anonymous' user (and associated roles). It appears that even though I've switched to runAs the authenticated user (via ServletAuthentication.runAs), ADF still thinks I'm running as the initial (anonymous) user.
    Is there a way to tell ADF to 'refresh' who it thinks I am now, so it will see me as the (now-authenticated) user, with their roles, etc.? Or, is there some other way to determine what (Application) roles a user has given their username?

    Sorry, in our code we test enterprise roles(and not application roles) because we are using ReadOnlySqlAuthenticator to retrieve db users/roles.

    1) The Request Green in RSMO only tells that data is loaded successfully but it does not give any information about Activation is that right ?
    2) How can i find out histroy of when one particular Info Object( Master data ) is activated? any tables or tcodes ?

    Ans- yes it give loading details only.

    ans -in SM37 chk any attribute change run is completed , else in RSA1 Tools -> apply attribute change and hierarchy -> you can see the finished and scheduled job.
    also u can chk the master data table for any M version records is available.

    The Pop up you are getting is Standard Behavior in 9.0
    System is asking whether you want to assign any User Code to this Employee or not.
    If you want to add any User Code to this New Employee Master then Press "OK" else Press "NO" to Add New Employee Master Data.

  • How can I see the past stat data?

    We're looking for a way to check the past stat data. We backed up the stat file, e.g. stat50, stat51,stat52... We tried to use the report RSSTAT26 and specified the backed up stat file, but it did not return any records.
    As stat/max_files is set to 48, we can see the stat data for 2 days via transaction STAD. But we'd like know how to see the stat older than 2 days.
    Does anyone have an idea?

    OK, then try booting into safe mode. If the problem still persists then something is badly corrupted. I would suggest doing the following:
    How to Perform an Archive and Install
    An Archive and Install will NOT erase your hard drive, but you must have sufficient free space for a second OS X installation which could be from 3-9 GBs depending upon the version of OS X and selected installation options. The free space requirement is over and above normal free space requirements which should be at least 6-10 GBs. Read all the linked references carefully before proceeding.
    1. Be sure to use Disk Utility first to repair the disk before performing the Archive and Install.
    Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
    Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, then quit DU and return to the installer.
    If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Do not proceed with an Archive and Install if DU reports errors it cannot fix. In that case use Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro to repair the hard drive. If neither can repair the drive, then you will have to erase the drive and reinstall from scratch.
    3. Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When you reach the screen to select a destination drive click once on the destination drive then click on the Option button. Select the Archive and Install option. You have an option to preserve users and network preferences. Only select this option if you are sure you have no corrupted files in your user accounts. Otherwise leave this option unchecked. Click on the OK button and continue with the OS X Installation.
    4. Upon completion of the Archive and Install you will have a Previous System Folder in the root directory. You should retain the PSF until you are sure you do not need to manually transfer any items from the PSF to your newly installed system.
    5. After moving any items you want to keep from the PSF you should delete it. You can back it up if you prefer, but you must delete it from the hard drive.
    6. You can now download a Combo Updater directly from Apple's download site to update your new system to the desired version as well as install any security or other updates. You can also do this using Software Update.
