How to call screen of custom program as popup screen in standard transaction

Hi friends,
I have created a custom button in standard vl02n transaction in application toolbar. now when i click on this button it should display my custom screen as a pop up from my custom Ztest program. how to achive this requirement. the functionality of my custom screen is it should it has input fields, so we enter some data and on click on submit button in custom screen it should save the data in ztable and close.

Thank you i missed this point.
So now i am planning to add custom fields to likp table and map this fields to my custom module pool screen so on making changes the standard likp header detail should be modified. so when user clicks on save of vl02n it would update the record. How to achieve this?
and as per my above post. I have created a Zprogram with Screen 9000, now i want to call this screen, on click of button from vlo2n as pop up how to achieve this?

I am getting this Problem.
After one of the screen in standard Transaction (CV01N) I need to call one custom screen. for this I created one program type M with screen. in Stan. transaction I am calling like Call transaction 'XXXX'(for above M program).here I am geeting all my required functionality .but I am getting this custom screen in separate session. I want to call this custom screen on same session of std transaction ( means background custom screen is std.screen).
Can any one guide me to achive this functionality;

By selection screen, what do you mean? There is no selection screen in WDA as there was in classic dynpro. Do you mean you are using the Select-Options reusable component? Are you wanting to call a standard transaction via ITS - SAPGUI for HTML? Please provide more details to your question.

Hi Rakesh,
If you wish to use ONLY the screen of another program, call transaction will not help you, because the called transaction will be fully executed (and not only the screen), and the acess to screen field wil be difficult.
When you wish to access the same screen from more than one program, you can create this screen in a function module and in this way you can call the function (to display the screen) in many programs.

Hi, I'm calling Standard Transaction from a Custom Screen. I'm calling a custom screen again with in standard transaction (implemented custom screen thru user exits using macros). But when I click 'continue/cancel' in the custom screen, control is going back to main cutom screen rather go back to standard transaction. Could anyone please help me out how to come back to standard transaction from custom screen rather going back to main cutom screen.

So the command SET SCREEN 0. LEAVE SCREEN. should "place" the program just after the calling of the popup so here:
FUNCTION z_call_screen.

Your developers should familiarize themselves with the Logging Framework of the J2EE Engine.

If they use the Logging Framework you would be able to access the logs through NWA.

It's more complicated than that. A java program consists of multiple .class files. In general you have one or more "trees" of directories of .class files, where the structure of the tree reflects the package structure. So a the class file for "org.dingbat.Thingy" is <basedir>/org/dingbat/Thingy.class where <basedir> is some directory on the class path.
So referencing one class from another in different directories requires that the source provides the "fully qualified name" of the class (usually on an import) and making sure that, if it's in a different class file tree, both base directories are on the class path.

I create a custom method in AppsModuleImpl.java. How can I call that custom method from a setter method on Entity Object / View Object ?
(I have tried to use Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef,config); but it is not the correct way, is it? )

How to skip screens in a transaction

I m using transaction CU01, from the program i have to go to the third screen by skiping the first two,, is there any syntax for tht.
I know how to go directly for second screen
the syntax for tht is
call transaction 'CU01' and skip first screen.
Now my requirement is to go to 3rd screen.

Hi Kalpanashri,
you can create a variant transaction.In variant transactions you can define screen number which should be called first.
to do this create a new transaction through se93 for the program.
then goto SHD0 transation to specify the variant for this transaction, here you can specify screen number.
then use normal call screen.

How to add custom authorization object to a SAP standard transaction

Hi All,
I have a standard tcode IW22 (change PM Notification) and I would lock changing when some users modify the field Functional Location (field TPLNR).
Since this field does not have an authorization object associated, I've tried to solve this problem with the following steps:
- tcode SU20 - creation of new authorization field TPLNR with data element TPLNR
- tcode SU21 - creation of a new auth object in transaction SU21 with name ZPM and field (TPLNR, ACTVT and TCOD)
- tcode SU24 - insert of new authorization field e check indicator (green)
- tcode SU22 - check indicator - check (green)
After this we have created a new role with PFCG and add transaction IW22; the new auth.ZPM was added manually.
We have try to analyze log (ST01 trace) but it seems no check was made in the trace file.
It seems new authorization object was not checked.
My question is: "Is it possible to add a custom authorization object into standard transaction and implementing authorization check without writing abap code in exit or badi ?"

No .. not possible. The list of Auth. objects SAP proposed in SU24 for each Stnd. SAP TCodes are basically documentation of the Authority-Checks in the program for that TCode. The extra advantage of SU24 is to set the object status (means the proposal for availability in PFCG) among any of the four check indicators. So that we can provide our own value (customer specific values which are basically defined and separate from sap provided values) and reinforce the authorization concept of the organization.
So you need to provide a Authority-Check for ZPM in the program of IW22 to make sure that the fields you want to be checked are really being checked during execution of the tcode.

We have a service request where we need a new user status, but I have in a productive system service requests created already.
We customized the new user status for the transaction type that we are using, but how to retrieve in the old business transactions created this new user status?
Is there a way to insert the new customizing in old transactions? Is possible to force by some ABAP code to insert the new user status in some old business transactions?

But How can i add one userdefined screen in SAP Stardard Transaction.
I am not talking about the subscreen / custom exit.
I want to create a small screen this would be itself a screen not imposed on any other screen.

Hi, Mike. It depend on the transaction, but a quick and easy way is to develop a function module which will throw a popup screen and call the function in your user exit.

How to add function key to a menu exit in a standard transaction

I have a requirement to add a function key for a menu item in a standard transaction.
In Menu bar we have an option Extras->Other->Repricing . Now my requirement is if i click a function key (ex. F9) the code under the menu exit (Repricing) should trigger. For that i had a function exit EXIT_SAPLJHPA_011 and in this the menu exit SAPLJHPA +CU7 is defined.could anyone suggest me the procedure in detail to add a function key..

for this u have to edit standard PF-status, that particular transaction is using. becarefull as the same pf-status may be used for many programs.
get the PF-status for that program. you can get the pf-status via se80, give the program name and u can get the the list of all the objects of that prigram, there you can edit the standard status and can add the function key to your menu item.
