How to construct Work center Hirerchy in Production Planning.

Hi Experts,
How to construct Work center Hirerchy in Production Planning.
Thanks in advance.

Amit,
I guess you must have overlooked the rules of engagement for this forum. It is customary for questioners to first perform basic research before posting any questions.
First, search in the forums (search box in the upper right of this page). FYI The question you raised has been covered dozens of times.
Next, check online help. This help is generic, and not generally specific to a particular industry:
http://help.sap.com
Work Center Hierarchy:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/b1/c037ae439a11d189410000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Next, look for generic solutions solutions in Best Practices. Basic index at
http://help.sap.com/saap/sap_bp/BL_IN/html/Content_Library_BL_EN_IN.htm
Next look for industry specific solutions in Best Practices:
http://help.sap.com/content/bestpractices/industry/index.htm
If you are experiencing a problem, or you believe that SAP is not working per the online help, you can then search OSS notes.
http://service.sap.com/notes
Next search in one of the standard online search engines (such as Google).
Only after you have performed all of these tasks, and studied all of the online help that is supplied for free by SAP, should you then consider posting a question to these forums.
If you are unwilling or unable to perform such research, then you should probably engage a consultant to assist you. All consultants use searches to assist them in designing and executing solutions. If you intend to one day become a consultant, you would be wise to cultivate this skill.

    Hi,
In capacity header details screen not exactly as "can be used for capacity evaluation " but

  • Maintaining work center list in Capacity Planning: Selection List in CM01

    Hi,
Where can find the config route in SPRO for maintain work center into the Capacity Planning: Selection List in CM01?
    Thanks a lot!
    Min

    Mandy,
Couple of combinations you should check,
    1. First try to identify "Selection Profile" which is used. In "CM01" go to menu Planning->Profiles->Selection Profile.
2.Check the defination of this profile using transaction "OPA2". Here you need to look for "Work center Set" which is assigned.
    3. Now look at the defination of the workcenter set using transaction "CMS3", here is were we define as how the list is to be fetched.
Hope this helps....Reward your points and close the thread if so,

  • How to manage work center in Production order

    Hi,
I am producing a material having one operation (suppose cutting), which I have mentioned in the routing. I have also mentioned the work center in routing on which cutting operation will be performed. When I make the Production order of 1000 pcs there comes only one work center. But practically, they are producing these 1000 pcs on two different work centers ( 500 on one and 500 on second). How to manage this in SAP.
    Kindly help me.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Dear ,
What is the individual capacacity of the Work Centre -CR02-Header -No of Individual Capacity ?
I think you must be using similar kind of work centre of 2 no 1000 pc .Now , when you are creating routing for this , you should hit Required Spilliting in Routing Operation -Select Operation line item  and then Double click -Select Spilitting and enter splitting No 2.
At the same time in CR02-Work Center -Capacity Tab -Hit the Header -In the Bottom of the Detail Capacity Header -Avaialabile Capacity -Include 2 as Number of Inidvidaul Capacity  and SAVE.
Now based on thr required spilittinga and invidual caapcity , it will consider the Work Centre Load .
Other wise , you can enter one more operation line in routing with similar Labor hrs , work center and control key in routung for production of 1000 pc  .
    Hope it clarifies

  • How to find work center in REM from the material Documnet number

    Hi ,
We want to develop a Z report for the repetitive manufacturing cycle. Please let me know the logic how to get the work center from the material document that is posted after backflushing MFBF tranaction.
I will elaborate it little further. From the material document number that is genearted out of confirmation from that document no how can I find the work center so that we can so show the throughput of each work center.
Please avoid standard transaction of MCRP etc.
    Thanks & regards

    Dear Kumar,
I'm not sure whether you can get the work center details, but you can get the production version number from you can get the
    rate routing details.
Give a try by passing the document no to table BLPP and get the document log number and pass on the document log number to
table BLPK,by which you can identify the production version.
Also give a try using this FM,RM_DISPLAY_AFRU_REM,I guess you can get the exact work center details from here.
    check and revert back.

  • Dyanmic work center selection in production order based on material

    Hi ALL,
We’ve a business requirement to support the following functionality.
There are four similar type of milling machines say MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, we create a single work center called MILLMC by specifying total capacity of four milling machines in the capacity header screen of work center with 4 individual capacities. And we mention work center MILLMC in the operation of routings for respective materials.
However, during production order creation, there needs to be provision for detailed planning of work centers as per the following requirements
In production order, some operations can be performed on any one of the machines MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, so provision needs to be there to enter exact machine on which it is performed in the production order operation after the details are copied from respective routing during production order creation.
In production order, some operations can be performed on only MILL3, so system should select only MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order
In production order, some operations can be performed on either MILL1 or MILL2 or MILL4 and not on MILL3, so system should not select MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order.
Please provide your valuable feedback to support the above requirements.
    Regards,
    Satya.

    Hi Satyanarayan,
Please do refer to the below document. I think the same concept can be used for work centers as it is used for resources in PI industry.

  • How to retrieve work center from material document

    Hello,
For a report I need to display all the backflushs for a work center. Therefore I read table MKPF and MSEG selection the correct mouvement code, and from here I need to find the production version in order to get the work center.
However I can not find this information in MKPF or MSEG. Material document is associated to a CO Production order but field AFPO-VERID is empty.
Can someone provide me the correct path to read table MKAL starting with MKPF/MSEG.
SAP version is ECC6 and we run repetitive manufacturing.
    Thank you.

    Thanks,
    Anurudh singh

Yes you can use PRT for these requirments,
    Logistics - Production Process - Master Data - Production Resources/Tools - Production Resources/Tools - Equipment - Create.
    spro->production planning for process industries->master data->production resources/tools (PRT)
you will see 5 transactions to configure your settings:
    -define PRT auth.grps
    -define PRT status
    -define Task List Usages
    -define PRT Group Keys
-Define Overview Variant for Where-Used List/Mass Replacement

This FM get data from the report used by transaction COOIS. If you needed the header data then you can use lt_ioheader table and seperate the data with the date. If you need at operation basis the you can use lt_iosoper table. You can use this FM to create custom report even with the checks like material availability, PRT availability, capacity requirement etc.

  • Block production work center during maintenance order

    Dear Experts,
iam trying to do the integration between PM and PP, I want to block the production work center from any production order  when there is any maintenance order opened for a certain equipment which is inside this  work center ,
till now i did the following:
    1) the production work center is now inside the equipment location tab
    2) when i open any maintenance order i put system condition as zero
now what i only achieved ,
    - in transaction CM25 the capacity is black for the period of the maintenance order
BUT the work center is not blocked and any production order can be created without any error
please help and much thanks in advance
    Best Regards

    Hi,
Till time you have performed right things to integrate PP-PM & system is also responding according to setting.
Showing block capicity in CM25 against the Maintenance Order.
If you want to block production order as well, you need to do one more setting.
go to t- code OIOI, selection Production order types (those you want to block) & in capacity Availabilty choose Collect conversion as 3 : No creation if there is insufficiant caacity.
i hope this will definately solve your problem.

  • How to connect MAPL and PLPO to derive work center for planned order

    Hi,
Anybody know how to derive work center using MAPL and PLPO for planned order (PLAF). Is there any connecting table between MAPL and PLPO.
    Please help asap.
    Regards,
    Mitali

I guess u r trying to view the detail scheduling info (tab in MD13) for a planned order . In that case -
    1. Go to PLAF and enter the planned order number. (PLAF-PLNUM) and get the ID of the capacity requirements record (PLAF-BEDID).
    2. With this PLAF-BEDID go to KBED. pass the value here. KBED-BEDID. The KBED-ARBID values are your work center ID.
    3. To get the work center texts ( the way is appears in the screen) - Pass this value to CRHD . CRHD-OBJTY = 'A' ( i.e Type work center) and CRHD-OBJID = KBED-ARBID.
    Hope it solves ur prob.
    Cheers

  • CAN SOMEONE TELL ME HOW MC88 FORECAST WORKS!!!?

I have a situation where the Mc88 forecast is deleting some of the planed indipandent requirments created and creatinf it a later date at the end of the forecast period...is this expected when you use planning type VSF

Rough-cut planning profiles are used in resource leveling. In a rough-cut planning profile, you plan the requirements of one or more of the following resources:
    ·        Work center capacities
    ·        Materials (typically, raw materials)
    ·        Production resources/tools
    ·        Costs
These are the resources you will require to meet a sales target, production target, purchasing target, or any other logistic target you have set for a material, product group, or characteristic value combination.
Rough-cut planning profiles are designed to give you an aggregate view on your resources; that is, you look at workdays rather than hours or minutes, and work center groups and product groups rather than individual work center or products. They are therefore an ideal tool for medium- and long-term planning or for the planning of hierarchies.
You enter your resource data in a few easy steps: The system guides you through a series of dialog boxes. The results of your entries are shown in a resources table which is laid out along the time axis.
The resources table displays a lot of information at a glance, that is, the resources required not just for the final assembly but for the entire production process, starting with the lowest-level components and ending with the finished product. Planned resources are displayed in the periods to which they relate.
In a rough-cut planning profile, you define the following:
    ·        The material, product group, or (in the case of an information structure) combination of characteristic values requiring the resources.
    ·        The key figure causing the resource load (if the rough-cut planning profile is defined for an information structure).
    ·        The time span of one planning period in the resources table, expressed in workdays.
    ·        The status of the rough-cut planning profile (as in a routing).
    ·        The planner group of the rough-cut planning profile (as in a routing).
    ·        The usage of the rough-cut planning profile (as in a routing).
    ·        How much of which resource is required for the base quantity. For example, if the base quantity is 1 piece, the amounts you enter on one line of the resources table are the amounts required to produce 1 piece. Moreover, if you enter amounts in four columns, each column representing a timespan of one workday, then you are saying that it will take four workdays to produce 1 piece using this resource. The amounts you enter for the resource “work center” apply to each capacity category at the work center.
    ·        The base quantity; that is, the number of units for which the resource is required. You cannot change the base quantity once you have saved the rough-cut planning profile.
    ·        The lot size range if the quantity of the resources required depends on lot size. Different lot sizes can have different base quantities. For example, a lot size of 1-10 may have a resource requirement of 1, and a lot size of 11-100 a resource requirement of 10.
