Please suggest how to invalidate SHA-1 and MD5 algorithm on windows 7 and how to enable SHA-2.
As suggested by Microsoft, regarding the availability of SHA-2 hashing algorithm, security update KB2949927 is installed on windows 7.

Please check if you have installed the below mentioned update:

After installing this update, SHA512 is enabled for TLSv1.2.
IE shall also be using TLS internally. Hope that should resolve your problem.

Well, I've used Paragon NTFS, but if you don't want to use 3rd party software, you should do this AT YOUR OWN RISK:
Open Terminal.app (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal)
Type "diskutil info /Volumes/volume_name" and copy the Volume UUID (bunch of numbers).
Backup /etc/fstab if you have it, shouldn't be there in a default install.
Type "sudo nano /etc/fstab".
Type in "UUID=paste_the_uuid_here none ntfs rw" or "LABEL=volume_name none ntfs rw" (if you don't have UUID for the disk).
Repeat for other NTFS partitions.
Save the file (ctrl-x then y) and restart your system.
After reboot, NTFS partitions should natively have read and write support. This works in both 32 and 64-bit kernels. Support is quite good and fast, it even recognizes file attributes such as hidden files.

    Open the command prompt by navigating to Start → Run and by typing “cmd”.

    Create the necessary value in Windows registry by typing: sapshcut -register An information message will appear.
    Open the registry editor, in order to access Windows registry, by navigating to Start → Run and by typing “regedit”.
    Go to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\SAPShortcut\Security registry key.
    Change the value data of “EnablePassword“ from 0 to 1.

Hash algorithm support in JDK 1.3 and 1.4 (Sha1 or MD5)

I have a Netscape code signing certificate that support "SHA1WithRSA" as signature algorithm.
After signing my applet code using Netscape's signtool, I am able to successfully verify it and run it under JavaPlugIn 1.4.
But while running it under JavaPlugIn 1.3.1, it seems it is not recognized as a signed applet and therefore it fails.
Howerver, if I sign my applet code using another certificate that supports "MD5WithRSA" as signature algorithm, I can get it running under both 1.3.1 and 1.4.
It seems to me that JRE 1.3.1 only supports "MD5WithRSA" whereas 1.4 supports both.
Can anybody please confirm this?? Is it a bug in the JRE 1.3.1 ??

Migrate SHA-1 Hash Algorithm SSL certificates to SHA-2

HI All,
I am hearing the news that SHA-1 certificates will be soon phased out on Chrome and Microsoft platforms. I am Ok with replacing public certificates with SHA-2 certificates.
But I see that our internal certificates are also issued with SHA-1 algorithm. And these SSL certificates are used in LAN to access internal sites. So Do I need to get internal certificates reissued with SHA-2(256)? If so what do I need to make the
changes on CA server to use SHA-2 algorithm.

IE does not itself do certificate validation, that is passed off the certificate chaining engine that is built into the Windows OS. When the date arrives that SHA1 SSL and code signing certificates issued by roots in the Microsoft Trusted Root program are
no longer accepted arrives, determining whether the certificate being validated chains to an internal or an external root will be determined by the certificate chaining engine and not directly by IE.
The last sentence above makes no sense at all, and SHA2 is not "the new flavour of the week".

After a little experimenting I have DONE IT !!!
In the folder "Program Files " "Adobe" "Premiere CS6" open the text file called cuda_supported_cards.txt.
Add your card to the list and hopefully it works.
Open a new session of Premiere, Goto "Project Settings" "General" and under Video Rendering and Playback "Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration" should show as active.
Now I am going to tackle After Effects.

In my MacOS I have setup three users for my family. I've been to System Preferences, and I have setup tap to click functionality for all of us three using the TrackPad preference utility. It works for all of us three when we login.
To my disappointment, I can't find a possibility to enable tap to click for login window, as there are no users logged in at that time. Now I'm forced to actually click the trackpad every time I want to login. That heavily annoys me.
In Windows, there's a system user, that you copy your configuration to to affect the login behavior, it's easy in Windows. But how it is done on a Mac?

Dv6-6135dx - How to Enable AHCI in bios for use in Windows 7 64bit

I bought the dv6-6135dx notebook some time back.
I recently got a Solid State Disk and I would like to turn on the Trim, feature.
To turn Trim on I need to enable AHCI. There is no such option in bios. How can I turn AHCI on?
I found an unlocked version of the bios that turns on apparently disabled menus, but that may or may not corrupt the bios and I'd like to not have to resort to that.

Looking for sha-1 hash values for the Windows 10 Enterprise x64 & x86 ISO's

When I downloaded the ISO's, I either missed the hash values or they weren't there. Still can't fine them. I'd sure like to validate the ISO's before trying to install.
Can anyone point me to their locations or post them here?

Maybe aboodi86 just ran a sha1 generator on the downloads.
For what it's worth, I got the exact same value listed above for my x64 download, so it's legit. I didn't download the x86 version.

Hi Mani,
The A tag using the MailTo: can only work with a client mail program. There's no way to send an e-mail from the server using it.
You can specify Subject and Body texts within the A tag, but you cannot specify the from and to addresses.
In order to send e-mail from the server, you'd need to use either an app-part or custom web part. I don't think you can do it through CSOM.

EDIT: It looks like you can do it through C# CSOM, but that would require an AppPart. I can't see SendEmail in any of the JavaScript based CSOM files.
