How to generate a View from Query

Hi
How to save a Query as a view....that to be used in web templates
I had a query with 20 diff columns and 20 free chars in it.
My requirment is to generate 5 to 8 different views for the same query with diff combinations KF's & CHAR's and same them and then assign then to users according to their requirment
That will make easy to maintain the Query

Hi,
1) Execute the query in BEx analyser and set/Define the report as you want.
2) In BEx tool bar click SAVE AS Views and save it.
3) This view can be used in WAD.
The Problem with the View is that, whenever there is change in the query, you must regenerate the view.

You could use XMLQuery to return the data from your tables as XML, that would give you a CLOB.
An example using the SCOTT schema might be like this:

I have 2 views in my Adobe Flash Builder mobile app. I need to refer the first view in my second view.
How to refer one view from another view? Or how to create a reference to a view wherever needed?

I don't need any data from my first view. In a certain flow, I need to make my first view to be invisible.
for eg., My First view is in portrait mode. I change the device to Landscape. In the landscape mode, I want to show a completely different view (second view).

What is the need to search for a program.
Use transaction SM30 or SE16 to create or maintain entries in the table.
e.g. if the Maintenance view is created on table A, then Goto transaction SM30 or SE16 and give the table name as A and proceed. This will automatically take u to the maintenance view on tha table A.

How to delete a view from a enhanced component?

I wish to know the possibility of deleting a view from a enhanced component.
I have two components IUICMD & IUICMRD. I have enhanced 4 views in the first component IUICMD using enhancement set ZCRM_ENHSET. There is no problem with that. But when i try to use the same enhancement set ZCRM_ENHSET for enhancing the second component IUICMRD, it's enhanceable in enhancement set. But 2 views IUICRMD/Meterreading & IUICMRD/MainVS is also copied to first component and available as enhanceable views in First component.
I want to delete those views from the first component. Let me know How to delete a view from a enhanced component?

Hi Raju,
If you do not need those enhancment views in any of the components ( ie IUICMD & IUICMRD ) , then open the BSP application in SE80 , under controller, there will be files with extension .do as yourviewname.do ...delete those !! These will not dele the Z classes....but just deletes their presence from the BSP...
I would suggest following approch :
1) go to SM34 , open BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT....Select you enhancement set and click on enhancement defination in leftside panel.
2) now select the IUICMRD and CLICK ON CONTROLLER SUBSTITUTION...
3) now you will see all the enhancement available for that component...Delete the entries for those two views from there...
This is just deleting the entries...this does not delete any objects from the system.
4)Now click on Back arrow, and delete the entry for IUICMRD...save.
5) Now open BSPWD_CMP_WD for IUICMRD...you will get the enhance component button... You can now freshly enhance this component..
6) We did not touch to the entries for IUICMD in the BSPWDVC_CMP_EXT...So now if you open the component IUICMD in workbench with you enhancement set...you will see all the enhancement..including those two views which you wanted to delete from IUICMRD.
7) If you want to delete the enhancement for these views...then right click on the enhance views and select Delete enhancement...You will get a popup listing IMPL, CTXT and CN classes, select all Z entries in the pop up and those all will be deleted physically from the system...and thus view enhancement will be rolled back...

If you are not sure, you can create copy of IMPL, CTXT and CN classes in se80 and then proceed for deletion..You can also make copy of entire BSP in se 80 before deletion...

You can generate an IDOC from invoice cancellation.Define a new "Z" output type for this cancellation billing document type and select the medium as 5(EDI).Check with your ABAPer for this.

How to call a view from Interface view

How to call a view from interface view (onPlugDefault method) . I was trying to set context of controller but it is not working . What is the work around.

Hi Manish,
An interface view is created for each window that you have, which in-turn has views embedded, one of which is default. If you want to pass data which you have in your interface view, do the following
- Add your component controller in your interface view properties
- In the onPlugDefault method(I assume this is where you have the data available through URL parameters),set the component controller context variables like
wdThis.wdGetComContr.wdGetContext().currentContextElement().setName("John");
-Access these context variables in your view as well by adding the component controller as the required controller
Your default view will appear automatically when you call the application.

When PI receives idoc from ECC it will be in xml format.
Are you telling that you want to convert this xml to .dtd file?
check this for converting xml into .dtd file.

1. Why the length of each command is equal to EF (239 bytes)? Maybe 239 bytes + Mac len + cla, ins, p1,p2, cmdLen. I mean, will the length always be EF?
2. C48203DE - what is it. In the GP221 i found:
'C4' 1-n Load File Data Block Mandatory. So if it is right, is the 8203DE - Load File Data Block? Because real data from my ijc-file starts after DE - 01001...

Is there any way how to generate JPG image from DNG easily?

I use PS, FW and Bridge.
I have often a problem to show images for preview from DNG files.
Please can you explain me, how to do it as a batch easily? Generate preview images from a whole folder?
Do you generate JPG in original size or do you archive only DNG?

Little confused here. Are you saying you do not get a thumbnail for a DNG and therefore can not view as a preview?
If you want to batch convert a DNG to a jpeg you can use tools/photoshop/image processor.

How modify data one view from another view in Cluster view

I have a cluster view which includes two independent maintenance views. These views have not a direct relationship.
If I would append or change or delete records in the first view I want to add or change or delete some records in the second view.

I have tried to use Extended Table Maintenance Events of the first view to modify the second but I cant access to the TOTAL and EXTRACT tables the second view from the fist view.
Is there any way to get access from one view to another using Extended Table Maintenance Events?

I have tried to use the Event 04/VC: Before Saving the Data in the Database of the cluster view. I can access and modify the second view internal table using routines
READ TABLE vcl_struc_tab WITH KEY object = 'ZFIRST_VIEW' INTO structab_wa.
if not structab_wa-UPD_REQU is initial.
   perform VCL_SET_TABLE_ACCESS_FOR_OBJ using 'ZSECOND_VIEW' changing error_flag.

But to save modified entries of the second view to database I have to twice press SAVE buttons.
The first time I have pressed SAVE above routines are executed and modified entries appear only in the second view internal table. The second time I have pressed SAVE modified entries appear in the database.
I would like user press SAVE button only once. How I can do it?

Without a dependant field how will you perform this operation ?
You have to link the fields in the tables, generate maintenance view, add it to cluster view and do it.

I'm using JDeveloper 10g to design J2EE application in the Up-bottom manner. Then I have written UML model with CMP beans and now I would like deploy the model to the database. Is there a wizard to automaticly generate database schema from CMP beans?

i get value from query use the follow method
Object obj1 = dataAccess.getValue(i,j,DataMap.DATA_UNFORMATTED);
Object obj1 = dataAccess.getValue(i,j,DataMap.DATA_FORMATTED);
the first method retrun a value '1666.0',
the second method return a value null
but i want to get the value '1,666'.
who can tell me how can get the formated value?

An implementation of DataAccess is not required to support all DataMap constants. For example, the OLAP-based Query object does not support DataMap.DATA_FORMATTED. To find out which DataMaps are supported for a particular implementation, you can call the DataDirector's getSupportedDataMap method.
If you have an Crosstab instance, there is a way to get the formatted cell value, based upon the formatting rules associated with the Crosstab. Get the GridViewFormatManager reference from the Crosstab, and call its formatDataValue method to return a String representation of the formatted data value.
