How to hide Personnel Number Column in FI txns.

Hi all,
As you know in FI there are many transactions, for example FB03 allows you to display a document and you can then click 'Select Layout' and change the layout to include the Personnel Number field.
I do not want many of my end-users to be able to display this Personnel Number field because they would be able to see what others are earning.
I can't see any authorisation check in the program code that checks for an auth-obj such as p_pernr.
Can anyone tell me how to go about preventing users listing the Personnel Number field in the various FI transactions.

Do you have HR in the same system and client as your FI? Or is it external (perhaps even non-SAP?)?
Some general comments:
You can deactivate line item display on the accounts which these "FI postings" go to.
Manual postings on "earnings" are not "normal"... At most, a different adjustment account might be a good idea.
You can protect the account using the (optional!) protection mechanism of account groups, and authority to maintain account groups. This should work for FB03 as transaction context. Try searching for "F_BKPF_BES" (and BEK and BED) and F_SKA1_BUK (and KNA1 and LFA1) for more infos.

    OK, if you want to change this for all calls simply adjust "Calling Line ID Presentation" to RESTRICTED on
    all Route Patterns pointing to PSTN. If you want to do this only for some users you will need to copy all the route patterns and assign them different partition reachable from that phone.
    If you want it to work on demend, i.e users dial *67 followed by the number to block caller ID, copy the existing route patterns and add *67 to the front and set this "Calling Line ID Presentation" to RESTRICTED.

    While that is not there yet, you can make use of the show when empty yes/no in combination with alerters.
    So I have an alerter applied to every cell of the table.
    When a condition is true (say I drilled down) I just put = "" in every cell, emptying the table,
    because its now empty and doesn't need to show, it wont.
    For the detail table I use the opposite, so when you drilled down it becomes visible...

    Hi Madhu,
    Create a model for the particular bapi in wd java and acess it in your component. Then pernr parameter will be available in the context and u can pass value for the parameter (pernr) to the model and get the output.

    Write a one line macro in SAPAfterDataPut sub module and check the option in the tab MS Excel Settings in the last screen of the layout.
    Sample macro:
    suppose the column you want to hide is 4.
    columns(4).hidden = true

    For HR personnel no. you need to go PA40 tcode  here you can update all the fields.
    Then one personnel number will be generate.
    If you want to create for this perner to vendor account you need to FK01.

  • How to hide/suppress empty columns in pivot tables

    In a pivot table, is there any way to do something like "suppress missing data" to make an entire column hidden only if it is empty? I have a situation where I can't hide an entire measure because the measure has values for another dimension, but I would like to hide the column that is empty. See the example below. I would like to hide the combination of Dim1 and Measure 2, and the combination of Dim 2 and Measure 3. I can't hide all columns with Dim1 and/or Dim2, or Measure2 and/or Measure3. Is there any way to hide just the column with the empty combination? Thanks.

    That made a difference, but it still needs some work. The IfNull() function picked up every value in the columns that I wanted to hide and changed them to zero. The conditional formatting that you suggested hid the content in those columns from the HTML. However, there ended up being several issues:
    1) IfNull() picked up other null values that happened to be in the resultset, so the conditional formatting was applied to more than intended. I could correct that by changing the data value in the physical database columns for the entire pivot table columns that I want hidden, but then I have to work around having bogus values in those intersections. Still, that is a possible workaround.
    2) The column headers for the columns that I want to disappear did not go away. When I applied CSS display:none, it shifts the pivot table cells to the left, so a lot of the data ends up under the wrong column headings.
    3) CSS display:none only hides the content from screen readers. When I view the pivot table on the dashboard and print it to a PDF, the data in the columns that I want to disappear are back.
    That still seems like it's a long ways from "suppress missing data" for the entire column. Thanks for your suggestion.

    If seen in F1 for this field it gives structure as acgl_item and the field as pernr
    But this must be getting stored in some table.I want to know that.

    Well all the details of line item are stored in Line Item Table ( BSEG ) and all the details of the header are stored in BKPF.

    The personnal number will be populated from ECC to CRM.
    The same will be created in HR module and then populated thru ALE to CRM.

    Here is an edited version which allow you to choose the custom template on the fly.
    No need to edit a property in the script.

    For example, there is a parameter called P_TYPE. I want to hide a column called 'BALANCE' if the P_TYPE=0.

    Create a format trigger (for both the header and the column item) that returns False on you condition.
    Set the horizontal elasticity to Contract (for both the header and the column item).
    Sometimes Contract doesn't work. Try Variable in that case. This has the disadvantage that the field can also expand.

    You would have to use a sequence in combination with a before insert trigger.
    In that trigger you will get the next value from the sequence and insert it into the correct field.
    If you need the generated number in an other insert (e.g. parent-child tables), you can use the returning clause.
    Technicly it is possible to insert a explicit value (in the trigger you would check if there is a value given for that field), but it would be bad practice if it concerned an key field.
